I'm trying to cancel my Live subscription, but every time I try to access my subscription page on my Xbox (not 360), it keeps telling me there's a technical difficulty and I should try again later - this has been the case for the last two nights. I have transferred the account to a 360 before, so I dunno if the upgrade will make a difference. Also, the credit card it's signed up to has since expired - if I leave it, will the service be cancelled anyway? If so I don't really need to worry about it.

Why the cancellation, out of curiosity?
I've barely used it in the last year, and I'm looking for ways to save money right now. I'll probably get a new account when I get a 360 if the online aspects of games appeal to me.

But seriously, I hate that. I want to cancel my subscription/account and I don't need to explain my reasonings to you kay thanx. Or worse, they pull stunts to frustrate you into giving up... like, say...

nah, I'm just an Xbox Live newbie who's fairly thrilled with things so far. So that combined with my excessive curiosity in general caused brain to immediately go into "but, but, why?" mode.
I refused to call them and just changed my CC info on the Xbox. :3

Like I said, I can't even access any of that =/ Well, so it seems. I should try again. Anyway, the card's expired so it shouldn't work anyway, but my mum's probably gonna ring 'em anyway before the end of the month.
I'd definitely give them a call... Just because the card is expired, doesn't mean they will stop trying to bill you. Then again, I doubt M$ would still supply you with service if they can't easily get money...
