Official Site

New Xeno game coming for the Wii. Not really a sequel to either Gears or Saga, but more a spiritual successor.

Game was previously announced as Monado: Beginning of the World at last year's E3.

Nice music, can't tell if it's Mitsuda though.

Alright seriously...do you visit P* Forums Psx? I bet you're SonicTHP, aren't you? lol We've been discussing this game over there pretty in depth. Anywho...this is so the Wii's year. I'm looking forward to this game ALOT. Looks very, very interesting. Love me some mechs!

Um, no. o.o I'm always Psx wherever I go. You'll *know* me when you find me.

Kinda odd they'd change the somewhat generic-sounding title to something that would get tongues wagging and fingers clacking. And should we expect a multi-game story arc? Because that didn't work out too good the last time they tried it... >.>

Ah, so this is Monado, huh? The E3 video really interested me, so I'll keep an eye out from this. Also, I've never played a "Xeno" game before.

I look forward to seeing some gameplay, but even then I won't get my hopes of. Europe has only seen one Xeno title come to its territories, and that's Xenosaga 2, and I've had it for four years and not played it yet. :/

Part of the problem there though is the first game is turned into a movie, but it amounts for about the same length of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, minus an hour or so, which means I need to sit though that first, but never got around to finishing it.

We got that same DVD movie over here, came w/ my Ep. 2 preorder. Wasn't really needed, since I already owned Episode 1 and played through it (FFFFFFFFF--!! @ that last elevator in the final dungeon). I remember it was missing a few cutscenes from the game, including one that introduced a plot point that wouldn't be touched on again until the third game.

So... gotta say you all have my deepest sympathies. Out of the three episodes, Europe got the crappy one. You're probably better off not playing it. But if you ever get the chance, view the Episode I + II cutscenes* and play Episode 3, which is by far one of the better RPGs you'll find on the PS2.

* or play the Xenosaga I + II DS fan translation... if it's ever completed

I look forward to its completion, though I was hoping they'd do an official translation for America and I could just import, but I guess that ain't happening.

As for III my only means of getting it would be to own a PS2 capable of playing American PS2 games, which means either purchasing an imported PS2 and power adapter (and possibly a TV that won't have distorted colouring due to being PAL) OR modchip, which is the more likely option I think.

Europe's gettin' it!

XENOBLADE CHRONICLES TO REACH EUROPE

Nintendo of Europe can confirm that it will be bringing the epic RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles to Europe for Wii. The title, already launched in Japan, brings to life a universe where two worlds called Bionis and Mechonis fight a war that knows no end.

Join the battle for Bionis to repel the invasion of a terrifying mechanical army and uncover the secrets of a mystical sword called the Monado.

Xenoblade Chronicles will be launching later this year for Wii featuring both English and Japanese voice-overs and will be fully subtitled in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Keep checking www.nintendo.dk for further information on this epic new adventure for Wii.

It's about time!

Now we just need The Last Story to make its way here and then I'll be a lot happier.

Ah good, I was wondering when us Western Wii owners would be rewarded with a decent RPG. *Takes note*
