But I'm really starting to get bored with the industry now with the U.S. industry going more and more into decline with a lack of good games, crazy overhype over Wii,PS3's price tag and with the 360 getting off to a poor start just like it's predessesor I see no reason to buy console or even play anything new. Just last month I sold my Xbox console to my brother(Who just plays Madden 2006 now)and so far there's just no game console I want.
Because were still getting crappy movie licensed titles, Da vinci code, X3,(yawns) "Cars",more FPS and ideas that are way too complex(Wii) it just feels like 1983.
The only games I play now are Japanese import arcade games like "Guilty Gear XX", "Fist of The North Star" "House of the Dead 4" "King of Fighters XI"and others that we'll probably never get to play, those are the types of generes that I miss so much and with SEGA getting quiet again(with hopes of them returning to the console market soon) I can only predict a 1984-like CRASH.
I'm sorry that I sound so glum but there's nothing exicting for now, not one console holds my interest, 360 is getting off to a sluggish start just like Xbox did exactly 4 years ago with a budget busting price a poor library of games,PS3's price tag is way out of my league and basically everyone else's sorry Sony it's your turn to fail this round. As for Wii, there just isn't not one thing that will convince me, everything about just sounds like a poor gimmick that will come and go at the blink of an eye(here comes more fanboy accusations about me being anti-Nintendo)you heard them say it's not next-gen,it's not cutting edge, and the whole idea sound like sound like something that would have be revolutionary four years ago! does anybody really want Nintendo to fill your console with useless spam every month with demos?Probably so, but not me. Granted I'm not impressed and don't see myself buying one anytime soon.
So there you have it, the industry is falling apart again like it did in 1983-84, like 1984 PC gaming is getting more popluar instead of console gaming, it's time for the industry to change and go through a declinig period and the rebound and recover again like it did in 1985, I'm hoping a praying that SEGA can do it. I really pray that they have the money to do it and to bring a cutting edge 256-bit console to the masses, yeah I know, I sound like a fanboy, but I believe and know that there are alot of people who detest the idea of SEGA being a console maker again because they wont forgive and think that SEGA hasn't learned from their mistakes trust me, when SEGA decideds to return they would have already have and learned from the big three's too.
Since you have ezinbox disabled this is my best bet for you noticing this message.
Pat, you are on your final warning for dragging other topics off track with your rants about Sega. Keep it to one topic. Do it again, and you're banned. That's that. This was decided over a week ago and came directly from Vec.
Okay everyone, continue as if this isn't here.
Nobody cares what you have to say anymore, Pat. You lost all credibility so long ago, it's not even funny.
Anyway, this is more of the same pointless doom-and-gloom posting you've made way too many of, and absolutely nobody will be replying with an "I agree" but rather lots of flames and reiterating how idiotic it is to keep saying Sega's coming into the console market again (Hint: only YOU think that). So, I'm pre-emptively locking this topic.
