Searchman.exe and Shademan.exe both have kept their names, if the toy names mean anything. Two, more likely is that there's that Beastman from the He-man remake. And Aquaman also appears in the Justice League cartoons.

Edit: These name changes are also why Kids WB is weird.
They STILL haven't aired "The CutMan Brothers" and
"Netbattle of Hearts" episodes! ( And a bunch of others
that I can't remember, but know for sure. )

name changes! Look on, if you dare.....:

WindMan - WindBlastMan
MetalMan - HeavyMetalMan
PlantMan - VineMan

Ok, is there another WindMan, MetalMan, AND PlantMan
from a really old cartoon/comic that I don't know about?!?:">

I mean, seriously! They changed FireMan to TorchMan so
little kids won't confuse him with real fire men, ColorMan
to WackoMan 'cause ColorMan dosen't suit the way he looks,
( If he attacks with a paint brush, then it would be
different. ) BeastMan to SavageMan for the He-Man/Teen Titans thing, and other Navis for good reasons.

As for these three, I'm not seeing a reason.

I think we've gone beyone mere reason. This is unadulterad rampant ego here, pure and simple. It looks like they're purposely spicing up the names.

That's the point! They should have a good reason
for changing a Navi's name!! EX: They probably changed
BombMan to BlasterMan 'cause of the BomberMan series.....

VineMan is kinda reasonable, though.
Maybe one of the dubbers for Axess saw PlantMan ( And those

I find it difficult to believe that Sniperman would be used over Searchman because I could easily see people complaining about the name being too violent. I would be more inclined to believe it if it was the other way around. Finally, this is one of the few changes that I believe actually make sense, I was never much of a fan of the name Searchman.

............ Speaking of Axess, NeedleMan was changed to SpikeMan. You know the needle they use in hospitals, or the ones drug adicts use?? That's why they changed it.
