Megaman Network has just announced that E3 has
announced a Megaman X8 that takes place after
Megaman X:command mission!
they said to wait for E3 for more details!
I myself can't wait for more info!
It's a thin skinny tiny puny weird little thing. Zero's always been known for the long poofy hair. Having it that long, but so skinny, just looks weird, to me. He's always had it long and puffy, for lack of a better description.
Example:
The new style (which I'm hoping isn't permanent) looks kinda "eh" compared to what it's always been.

as to it screwing with the Zero series, remember. The Zero Series is an alternate universe, based off one of the endings of X6.
personally i don't think that MMZ is an alternate universe.

The Zero series was supposed to be the natural continuation to the X series after X5, but Capcom had other ideas. I keep thinking the new X8 is going to reveal that X's Zero as being a fake.
No, the Zero series is not an alternate Universe. Play Zero 3, and you'll know why.
Playing is one thing, understanding it is quite another.

you know, i can see that X6-X8 can't possibly be the work
of Keiji inafune. the storylines are almost nothing like his
stories. But i can tell that megaman zero is definately his.
i suppose you can tell just by his way of keeping secrets
in the stories that he makes, (such as Dark elf.)
Mega Man X8 boasts the following features:
Three playable characters with varying strengths and special abilities
o Mega Man X - Equipped with his trusty charge shot
o Zero - A master of short range attacks with the ability to double jump
o Axl - Armed with a spread shot weapon and hovering skills
Enhanced tag team action
o Switch between two characters at any time to effectively defeat enemies
o Rescue change - Standby character can provide backup support when the main character is caught in enemy clutches
o Double attack - Attack enemies to fill up a special gauge and unleash a powerful two-player simultaneous attack!
o Recovery gauge - Health gauges for standby characters refill according to how well the main character performs in battle
o Combo counter - Recovery items are only available when dropped by enemies; defeating multiple enemies in a row will increase the combo counter and the rate at which enemies drop these special items
Three Navigator types - Pick a Navigator at the beginning of a stage; each offers a stage strategy, an enemy strategy or story supplements
Collect "metal" from defeated enemies - Use as building blocks for valuable power-up chips
Ability to use weapons obtained from defeated bosses
Multiple story endings and hidden items

yeah, i never did see Zero's ending in X7, but it's so
broken because capcom is running like 20 different plot holes/plot twists in the X series that i can't even try to
predict what will happen...Capcom is horribly vague on just
about everything

sounds like fun to me. X killing Zero? sweet.. *catches self* But im just afraid of the fact that the old megaman series ended at 8. what if the X series ends there too? Then what? OH NO! *panics* But seriously, that makes me worried, i dont know about other people though. it sounds cool the guy with the helmet fins, what if he is Bass, a new one? that would be soooooo cool! But im just glad they didnt take theyre time on X8.

Looks good on her. Too good. And a big W00t for her return to the series. Here's hoping the other Hunters come back as well, as they made the organization less of a two man vigilante group (three if you counted Dr. Cain). I wonder if they'll be appearing in Command Mission...

Well, I know that X8 at has now featured itself into existence, now all we have to know are 3 things:
1.What the plot is going to be
2.What the names of the 8 new Mavericks will be and what their animal species are
3.If Megaman X will be playable from the start

EDIT: By the way, PMM recently reported that, for reasons that aren't ENTIRELY certain, X8 has been pushed back from November 9th 2004 to November 23rd 2004 for a US release.

For those who are interested, the Playstation 2 version of Megaman X Command Mission has a playable demo of X8. A bit buggy, but fun nonetheless.

As for the trailer, it may be too early to tell yet but I already have higher hopes for this title out-performing X7 (not that it could do worse). The gameplay seems to have lost the clunkiness that creeped into X7's style and gained a bit of speed, it appears much slicker and responsive because of it. Also, was that a "double tech" I see X and Axle doing there?
