is it me or does left image look suspiciously like Zero 4?
but really, Megaman Zex?
Reminds me a little of both Zero AND Legends, to be honest... hopefully we'll see soon, eh?
Zex? is this actually meaning Zex, or Z Ex, asin Zero Extra
Concept artwork of the game featuring the male and female leads here: www.rockmanpm.com/gallery...p?album=91
ZX sounds better then Zex to my mind.
*prods the artwork* doesn't look so bad, i wonder what the plot will be?
Looks like it's from the team behind Zero. Eile looks better than Van, so I'll play as her when I get it. Van justs looks ugly with those long white pants.
What. In. The. Net!?
I'm eager to see more, and thank the gods it's still in 2D. Still looks decidedly GBA, though... I was hoping INTICREATES would start to take advantage of DS hardware.
Sentai Rockman? O.o That's my impression right there.
Hmm, it looks like it might be cool. I wonder where in the Mega Man timeline it is supposed to take place?

Well we only seen two screenshots so far and we haven't even seen it in motion which would make all the difference.
Heck, there were people critizing that Rockman Rockman and Irregular Hunter X looked like something for the DS.
It could also be that the biggest improvements come in the audio, too, ya know.
I think it could be some sort of transition from the X series into the zero series, or even better the BN series into the original series... it seems to me like that PET thing does a gives them the megaman armour in a cross fusion kinda way... the rest follws on from there

Dawn of Sorrow did not look decidedly GBA when compared to Aria when info of the former first surfaced. I expected something similar for Rockman Zex. However, I do realize that there's more to a game than what stills can convey, and will be expecting marked improvements in animation and music.
Yeah, would you look at that? That guy in Model Z looks like Zero... without a helmet.

Unfortunately at the time some people at certain MBs disagreed with this statement.

Heh, you're right he does, and he looks like he's cool. Huh, I wonder if these guys are reploids designed after X and Zero or if they are supposed to be their "descendents"?

These are the same idiots who continually press that 2D gaming hasn't improved at all since the days of the SNES. Disregarding completely the advantages of larger storage mediums and better hardware that enable for far more detailed sprites and animations that would be impossible for a 16-bit machine.
When a game as visually gorgeous as Atelier Iris is compared to anything from the early 90's is when I truly weep for humanity.
**looks at link**
Dude, if that ain't Zero I'll eat my now defunct PS2. It's official, Zero the series is dead and yet the bastard continues to live.
...through living metal.
The girl's Zero form's kinda funny, what with the coffee cup and all.
i wouldnt say that thats the girls zero form, i'd say that was just the zero guy without his living metal on
i agree with hypr, the zero with the coffee cup doesn't look female. lacks certain female features for one thing.
i don't get the X twins, although perhaps it's fulfilling a possible wish to play as an actual girl on a megaman game? 😛 (well, apart from command mission.)
I guess not - looking at the top right, there's a picture of said Zero-lookalike, eyes open - and they're blue. The other pictures of the characters have green eyes, even in their X form.
Different character, perhaps? Or maybe it IS the girl's form, just not terribly feminine (though admittedly, neither are her other forms).
Van and Eile only transform into Model X form. The guy with the Model Z form is quite obviously a completely seperate character and he has a few quite defining characteristics, like that red crystal-shaped feature on his forehead.
i didnt notice that, 😛 but what i did notice was that in the concept art on rockman perfect memories, there was a picture where a guy was opening both an x and a zero themed living metal and in the background the form he morphed into remineded me copious amounts of the Zero virus
Well, I've heard of some other random tidbits... don't know exactly how accurate they are, but it's news. =P The two main characters' names are Vent and Aile (French for wind and wing). Technically, these are pronounced sorta similarily to Van and Eile (the T is silent, and Aile is like elle). Apparently they work for some kind of delivery service or something, and in this time, several centuries in the future, the line between human and reploid is a bit blurred as humans are more cybernetic, and reploids now have shorter lifespans.

zomg zero
I'm guessing these are coming from a scan. Let's see if we can get some translations and clarification on details 'round heah.
so they can become zero-like to?
that's pretty cool.
ZeXy.
Apparently the coffee-drinking dude's name is Silve.
and he's OBVIOUSLY not the blond Zero looking guy.
and the glasses totally tell you that.
seriously though, if they try to pull that crap in the game i'll freak.
Example:
main characters: thanks Zero looking guy! but wait, haven't we met before?
Silv*cough*zero dude: why no, no we haven't. i should be going now!
main characters: i wonder who that guy is.
*ooh~s at the clip, shows to boyfreind, boyfreind drools and wishes he had a DS*
yup, it certainly makes up for it's shortness with that!
your link isn't working, so if you can elaborate why are the transformations so cool?
Huh, seems they changed the link...
Let's just say that the four transformations are based on a certain group of four from the Zero series.
I suppose this is the next best thing to being able to play as the Four Guardians. Harpuia is just all kinds of awesome.
Really looking forward to this game. I'm glad they're using the Zero series style.
incredibly short, but interesting nonetheless.
More story details. This is second hand but I think Atomic Fire was the source.
To further confirm earlier statements, it seems there really is no longer much of a distinction between "human" and "reploid" and that they've existed that way for hundreds of years.
The people have been "reviving" old nations (I guess from the aftermath of all the wars and such) but it hasn't been too prosperous because there are still "Maverick" incidents. The unsafe areas became known as "Outer" nations - people generally live within the safer "Inner" nations. Those existing on the frontiers have a defensive organization called Guardian, run by a girl named Prairie. There's also mention of a man named Serpent who runs the Serpent Company, which he built up by excavating in the Outer areas, and apparently he has a mechaniloid army he uses to help against Mavericks.
Vent and Aile work for Silve who owns Silve Express, a company that delivers anything anywhere (apparently regardless if it's legal or not). They're hired by Prairie to transport the Live Metals Models X and Z somewhere.
Silve will be voiced by the same person who voice Zero in his own series.
"Fire and Brimstone, falling down from the sky! Rivers and seas boiling."
"40 years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes..."
"The dead rising from the grave."
"Cyber-Elf sacrifices, reploids and humans living together... MASS HYSTERIA!"
- an excerpt from "Maverick Busters"
Prairie looks like a grown-up Alouette, moreso because of the doll. Probably just a coincidence. Just like Zero's VA voicing Silve... A COINCIDENCE AMIRITE!?
It's like MMZ but with kickass changeable armor!
but the story sounds good. the game is looking better and better.
Huh. Apparently "Silve" is now "Girouette."
Which apparently is French for "a rooster-shaped weather vane".
Damn it Keiji, your linguistic obsessions will be the death of us all!
Capcom has updated their site again. Site link right here!
I love the new BGMs.
Edit: One of the links show the animation for the Live Metals' transformation though it's only with Vent.
Each of the Four Guardians forms have different abilities. Model HX's ability is called Energy Analyzing and it lets you find a boss's weakness. Model FX's ability is called Buster Edit, and it lets you shoot your buster shots in a set direction depending on where you direct them with the touch screen.
Model LX's ability is called Item Searching and it can find items on your map and finally, Model PX's ability is called Radar Scope, and it will help you go through dark areas and find hazards thanks to the touch screen.
(I'm sure you can guess who's who.)
Game Trailers with gameplay footage (but no music?) of ZX. Forms are showcased quite prominently. It also shows how the map system works.
Did I just see a CyberElf in there?
i didn't see it, but the game is looking even more kickass than ever.
Holy crap...that's all I have to say.
The JP Rockman ZX site was updated. All the bosses are now there, and two new commercials are up. (Though the two are combined in one button.) And the Overdrive Invoke System is explained a bit more too: HX, FX, and LX add their respective elements to their attacks. PX however has the Shadow Dash from MMZ3. The O.I.S. does take up energy from that second bar though, so it can't be used constantly.
apparently the release date is set for september. this might not be entirely factual though.

Capcom's Rockman ZX Site has again been updated, this time with artwork and information on all the remaining boss characters, as well as other gameplay elements and a new movie.
Quote:
The boss page has a navigation bar at the top, so just click on all the "New" links to see each new boss. We also have rough translations of the boss names for you to check out, including the two we previously knew about:
Quote:
An additional feature is found under SYSTEM, shown beneath the link to the bosses. This one details something called OIS, or from rough translations, the "Overdrive Invoke System". It seems to show off what could be the maximum abilities of the Models LX, PX, FX, and HX. From other screenshots, we can also see that Model HX now has twin-blade attacks, PX has the Shadow Dash from MMZ3, and HX/LX/FX have element-based attacks as well as what we've already seen.

The last update to the site consists of two new 30-second commercials for the game, due out July 6th. As more information on Rockman ZX arrives, be sure to keep checking here for the latest!
just explaining what darkmessiah forte said in a little more detail.
The game has been released for Japan, while North America awaits September 12. In the meantime, I'll give out some non-spoiling features.
One, on the Rockman ZX site, it says that you can fight four bosses from Z3 and four from Z4, provided that you have those games in the GBA slot.
Two, the "levels" are connected as one big map. Read: Metroidvania.
Three, the secret disks make a return.
Four, there are optional missions. (Heard that it's sort of like Legends, but I'm not too sure.)
also, you get a special surprise if you beat the levels from Z3 and Z4.
it's not much of a spoiler but...
Spoilers (Select To Read): it's live metal O. i have no idea what it means. but it's new armor. Spoilers (Select To Read):
damn, i can never get the hang of these spoiler tags.
