So much wrong in that video I don't even know where to start. 😮
The original announcement led us to believe that the game would be primarily set in the Reploid/Maverick universe as envisioned in the Mega Man X games. I think there was a blurb that got hopes up that the Classic universe would have some representation... but what I'm seeing now is a total mindscrew, for lack of a more appropriate term.
Is that Mega and his gang of characters in the Reploid Wars? I am intrigue.

I am rather confuzzled by the mixed messages. But it's looking really cool so I can't really argue with that.

You know, if they didn't explicitly tell me this was for a Mega Man Online game, I'd just assume they were going to remake Mega Man Classic and mix it with Mega Man X...or something along those lines. Maybe an anime series. Seriously, there is no indication from any of the pictures or this video that this is supposed to tell that this is getting ready for an MMO experience.
I'm willing to believe they're making one, but the advertising for it so far is kind of cruddy that way. Even if they didn't show real gameplay, it'd be nice to at least say what all this robot mayhem is about.

Hmm, yes. Well, the graphics are a little weird... and certainly a far cry from the doom and gloom in the previous trailer. The videos only show off classic Mega Man and teases Ryu at the end. And there are many many features from Mega Man 2.

At least one of the articles referred to how Mega Man Universe has been registered, and implied that it was the Western name for the Rockman Online game. However, we now know that it's actually the name of a new 2Dish Mega Man game. It's understandable that confusion may ensue with that implication in mind.
Still waiting for gameplay footage of that RMO. That said, I'm not gonna hold my breath - it could end up to be yet another of those awesome MMOs that never gets an English translation.
I'm dying to see some gameplay footage for Rockman X Online. When I saw that there was a trailer for it, I was very intrigued, but then it ended up being as unclear as $%$#. Did it even say the title of the game it's advertizing?

I haven't finished watching the first of the two gameplay videos yet, but it's over nine minutes long - and it seems like Rockman Online is going to be a sidescrolling type of action game.
EDIT: The second video is just a playthrough at a demonstration booth of the Sting Chameleon level that Zero fought through in the first video, with X instead. The first video shows Zero going through a jungle stage and fights Sting Chameleon; X fights through a pyramid level and goes up against Pharaoh Man. Both show special moves that may or may not be ones they acquired from other bosses, and X is seen wearing some of his white armor, so there you have it for what it's worth.
