Honestly i think that Zero's "death" was handled very well.
and if he doesn't comeback, well i can pretty much deal with it.
the game was a little harder than i expected, mostly due to the fact that you didn't get element chips, you got EX skills instead (which was really cool).
had it not been for gamefaqs, i would've never known how to use item recipes (which were cool, but i couldn't find about 48 out of 51 of them.) The Elf system is so much better that it's crazy.
overall i don't think this is the best out of the series Storywise, but gameplay wise it was by far.
for me the zero series has been more about classic gameplay than storyline anyway.
I dont like the new elf system, it defeats the purpose of having an elf anyway. The game is good, its hard, but good. Zero's dead, but according to what Wiel said, he isnt. No more hero. the world is wiel's =/
I beat the game on Easy mode (the lazy bum I am,) and was going to beat it on normal except I lent it to a friend. I thought the ending was good, though depressing... left me depressed almost the rest of the day (I had only got three hours of sleep, though, so that probably had something to do with it...)
I read a script FAQ afterwards, and they pointed something out about the very last shot. Look closely at the background, more to where the sun is in the pic. Could it be...
Hopefully not. I figure the only way Zero would be around is the same way X was in the first three games.
My question: where the heck were the three Generals? Would have been nice if they had played a role in the game...

Could it be...
No. It's his sword. The shadow on the ground appears to confirm this.
This is the last Zero game. On the GBA.
although in the actual game you can see it more clearly.
people talk about that picture but I never see anything in it but proof that Zero is done for. According to a calendar or somthing released only in Japan (boo) The guardians were outside of Neo Arcadia, maybe they were tired of being there since they no longer had a real reason to be, or somthing different. Chances are they are still alive though, they watched the cannon blast Neo Arcadia. They all didnt look too pleased. (goes to find a pic)
so the world belongs to wiel.... thats it? man... evil won afterall.. that is kinda depressing
Even IF Wiel's alive, how would he get any power? A majority of his forces were destroyed by Zero and the Resistance, and I'm sure the Generals aren't about to side with him again...

Could you? I'd like to see it.

Weil's dead. At least, he should be.
Call it a stalemate.
Quote:
Pfft. Are you sure Zero's dead?
Death is never absolute in the world of Reploids. Capcom wants us to believe he is, nothing more.

Agreed. He's exhausted his resources pretty much. However, there's always room to invent new threats for Dr. Weil to draw power from in the future. There's still the matter of the Reaverbot ruins and their secrets as seen in MMZ2 and MMZ3. And what if Weil were to somehow mobilize the remaining humans in Neo Arcadia into a military power, using propaganda to paint all reploids as Mavericks?
Still, he should probably remain dead and allow new threats to surface.
well said, the last thing these games need is another sigma, christ, it always being Neo Arcadia coming back is bad enough
even though Zero has survived a space colony crash before, i want to say that both Weil and Zero are dead.
it looks likely, but I there's one thing i've learned in the last 16 years of my life, it's that capcom LOVES sequels.

Last time he was in an armored shuttle and was TRYING to get away. This time, he was standing on top of the thing.

Unlikely...especially since HIS cannon blaster THEIR city, and it was the RESISTANCE that got everyone out before it did. I doubt anyone'd listen to him.
Correct me if i'm wrong, (hasn't played X5) in X5 didn't Zero *die* on eurasia? i remembered seeing a video of how he took out sigma to save X but my knowledge is a bit limited on that subject.
having just watched drunken hobo sigma scream 'zellllooo!', i'll say no.
zero always returns, but in X6 it's pretty vague. we don't know if he repairs himself or someone else does it (wily/isoc? oo).
No. He did not die on Eurasia.
Apparently, he was supposed to "die" then subsequently reawakened for the Zero series. However, someone at Capcom other than Inafune didn't like that idea and brought him back for X6.
but where was he when sigma cut him in half?
Limbo. Honestly, it would appear no one could be bothered with the specifics of Zero's return in the X series. Just another plothole waiting for a chance to be filled.
no that's not what i'm asking, i'm asking WHERE was it were they fought sigma in X5. in eurasia or on earth where?
I haven't played X5 in a while, but if I remember right, Eurasia had already crashed/been destroyed before they fought Sigma, so it would've been on Earth.
if my memory serves correctly then they were fighting inside a base that sigma set up within the Eurasia crash site, the MH were able to find it because the zero virus particles were most concentrated in that point and they had to send someone to investigate. in the first stage of the sigma section you actually teleport down a hole into the base entrance.
my boyfreind, who played through the game for me only a few days back, informs me that..

It's called the "Zero Space". All the virus levels (the last 4 stages) are called that. I suppose the idea is that it's a random place on Earth, but that it was so heavily infected by the virus that it entirely changed its appearance to what you see in X5.
From what I get, said place is in the middle of a desert, too.The Eurasia thing is definitely not right, although he is right in saying that X/Zero is/are sent there to investigate.
You should get him an account here.
"Zero Space". o_O And in Zero 4, the same stretch of land is called "Area Zero". Of course, by then the ecosystem had already begun to recover.
so they fought him near area Zero, that makes more sense.
i think he once had an account here, many years ago in his internet newbie days.
he posts a lot in the bob and george forums, where megaman seems to be discussed majorly. possibly he got the name zero space from there, or from the game.
