Okay, i was playing through MMZ3 the other day and it got me thinking about Omega.
Now at the end of Z3 we learned that 100 years ago Omega with the help of Dr.Weil took over Zero's body. Then after you defeat Omega/Zero Dr. Weil says Watch but don't interfere, then the guardians come in and beat the crap out of omega as the Dark elf is trying to heal him. after they are done attacking X comes in and says Weil is bluffing and Omega can't do anything. Then Immediately afterwards the Dark elf starts reverting back to Mother elf form.
Notice that Omega says: "What is it Dark Elf?," you can tell it's omega by the Red eyes. if it was really Zero he would've called it Mother Elf.
Now that got me thinking that Omega is more sentient than he or Weil let on.
so i started thinking. The Elf wars were technically during the end of the Sigma war. so lets review the facts.
At the beginning of the Elf Wars X used the Mother Elf to destroy the sigma virius (not Sigma, the virius.) the Mother Elf is then feared by the rest of the world and called the Dark Elf. Weil gets a hold of her and places a curse on her. then Omega takes over Zero's body.
Remember when Ciel fixed the data Zero recovered about the Elf Wars? Omega was in his Upgraded Battle Body. Not using the Dark elf mind you.
if he was using the dark elf then he would've been Gold not white. now the picture shows Omega after he's taken over Zero's Body leading an army of reploids into battle.
My thoughts are, what was the point of taking over Zero's body? Why would Weil transfer Zero into a Body that eventually beats Omega anyway? what was the point of giving Zero a different Body anyway?
my idea is that Weil was the one who put Zero into that chamber in X6. thinking the scientist would help him, Zero agrees. so maybe the only way to get rid of the Zero virius was to get him into a different body.
I'm saying weil did this because if you remember correctly the final battle of Z3 was in a lab that's right next to Dr.Weil's.
Also remember what X said, i worked with Zero to defeat THIS Omega a century ago.
Leviathin,Fefinir and Harpuia said that Omega was banished to space after terrorizing Neo arcadia a century ago.
meaning in the upcoming X games, Neo arcadia will most likely be built and Leviathin,Fefnir, Harpuia and what's his face will be around.
(of course, the X games would have to be another 20 years ahead of where they are.)
but this is where it gets confusing. if Omega takes over Zero's body at the beginning of the Elf wars and then X and Copy Zero defeat him and then Omega is banished to outer space and then X seals the dark elf using his Body then how does Zero end up in Weil's lab?
this was possibly the longest post i've ever made but it's just really an interesting subject.

First off, the Mother Elf was not used to destroy any viruses. She was used to restore Maverick Programs to their original state. When you first get the Dark Elf data in the library stage, that info comes up.
Second, the Mother Elf was called the "Dark Elf", after Weil altered her.
Third, the Elf Wars began after Weil turned the Mother Elf into the Dark Elf.
if you read Ciel's computer in Z2 it specifically stated that X used the Mother Elf to destroy the sigma Virius.
i'm also pretty sure i mentioned the curse Weil put on her
and i also stated the third thing you mentioned.
Z3 comes after the second game, and if Z2 does say that, then it has been replaced by Z3's revised info.
Your post also makes it seem like you thought the Mother Elf was called the Dark Elf before Weil gained possession of her.
Revised information? Uhh. no. all continuity all the time.
and reverting mavericks back to their normal selves is the same thing as destroying the sigma virius.
And how do you know that they didn't call her Dark Elf Before Weil altered her?
Did he just get up and say, "i think i'll call you Dark Elf." You don't know that.

Why would they ever call her the Dark Elf, if she wasn't dark yet? Why would you ever call something "dark" if it wasn't acting "dark" or even looked dark (in the case of the Dark Elf, she's purple in color)?
Best I recall, X has a conversation with Zero in 2 that explains about Mother Elf/Dark Elf. She became the Dark Elf after Wiel "cursed" her, most likely the same type of programming Wily did on the original Light-Bots all the way back in 20XX.
she was actualy created as the mother elf.
she was referred to as the dark elf, because weil altered her, made her evil and gave her the power to fuse with omega.(as a passing point i'd like to point out that the elf wars began when the mavericks and hunters started using Cyber elves like crazy to boost the effort in the sigma wars) so presumeably, it is the dark elf infected omega that X and Zero took down together a century ago. now the thing that gets me is in between omega, being defeated, and being sent into space, where did weiru change zero's body with a copy and give it to omega?... since weil and omega are in exile in space now, where does zero get captured and altered?! wtf!?
it stands to reason that it didnt happen before the battle, since zero actually wakes up inside weils Lab at the beggining of MMZ1...

that was my question too, and technically unless Weil had it cleaned out or something, Omega and Zero could've never fought in that room.

Well, Omega did fall down to the place first. The explosion of Omega's body could have cleared out the place. But it's probably a situation where you just suspend your disbelief and get on with it.
That, and Weil had at most two months to resurface, so he could have taken the time to clear out the debris.
sounds like something weil would do. spend 2 months clearing out an old caved in lab just to completely scare the living bejesus out of zero for dramatic effect.
stupid weil. i wonder how long it took him to eat all those pickles after he got his head stuck in the jar

well, DarkmessiahForte had a good point, maybe Omega's Overly large(fat) Body cleared it out.
on second thought... that doesn't seem right either.

Given that the whole place was on fire, I really think it was Omega who did it. But I'll go with the wizard theory.
BTW, Omega isn't fat. And to prove it, I'll give you this saved image that I once got from MMN. It's a scan from a book that came with the RTRZ Telos soundtrack.

Nah, I think they'll probably do some other events before attempting to bridge the two series together.
