OOC: *sighs* When Nexus is angered he practically goes insane.
IC:
Nexus rubbed his head in pain. He noticed the echidna was walking away. Nexus stood there and hissed and then stared at the others. "'Ello. Etter-beh not be evil ad-kehs!"

Jack, the rabbit quickly got to where the others were without hesitation. The Komodo was alredy up there, he knew his way around.

"May be in past, but it is also your past." he mumbuled as he spoke to Shalu.

Shalu shrugged lightly, "I've already learned enough about history today... and since you guys are taking forever, im not going to wait around. I'm taking Mila to the healers so they can take a look at her leg. You may follow me if you like." Shalu said as she turned and left down the boardwalk. Tylor looked at the others.

"She sounds like she's on PMS..." he whispered as he slowly followed her.

"What is this PMS you speak of?" the Komodo Dragon asked curiousily.

Tylor grinned and looked back at the Komodo. "It's a week long period that happens once a month when a female gets really mean and yells at you for no reason." he explained.

Midnight snorted, supressing a chuckle.

"I don't think that's the case with Shalu. She's a survivor like me and reacting to a threat...namely us, strangers who claim to be from the distant past and are now infringing on her territory."

With that, the blue echidna followed her.

Shalu just kept walking. She didnt' even look back to make sure they were following her. She came up on one of the larger huts and pushed open the cloth door. There were a row of beds along the wall. A few of them were occupied. One of which she had never seen before. He looked like a regular fox laying unconscious under a light blanket made from Shlow wool. She set Mila down on one of the unoccupied beds and went off to speak with the healer. The healer was a arctic fox who wore light cotton robes. Her son was an eight year old two tailed fox with white fur and pale grey rings around this two tails and his ears. His eyes were a pale blue and he sat next to the strange fox with utter curiousity.

"Are you sure it's safe to allow your child so close to a stranger? Mara?" The white vixen looked over at Shalu.

"He's unconscious Shalu, he's harmful to no one at this point..." She said putting down a herb mixture she was making.

"Who brought him here?" Shalu asked.

"Taro and Yannar... they found him over by the Wall of Ages. That was twenty minutes ago." Shalu nodded, about the same time she left.

"Ton and Mila were playing in a cave a little while away... There was a cave in and Mila got her leg pinned under a large rock... could you have a look at it." Mara nodded and walked over toward the child's bed to examine her leg. Shalu looked over toward the doorway.

"You can come in you know... no point in easedropping..." Tylor moved the flap and peered in.

"Uh sorry..." he said as he walked in sheepishly. Mara ignored the distractions and continued her examination.

"Well.." she began. "Seems to be a slight sprain. Just don't walk on it for a couple days and you should be fine." She got up and walked over to a self and pulled out a couple pieces of wood. "But just to be safe we're going to have to keep it straight and wrapped up." She placed the splints on each side of Mila's ankle and then wrapped it up with thin cloth. Mara patted Mila on the head and walked over to Shalu. "The only thing that worries me about the stranger was his clothes." Shalu raised a brow.

"His clothes?" Mara nodded.

"Yes, i've never seen material like this before." She walked over and pulled the folded trench coat from the table.

IC:
Seana panicked when she saw the othersmove away, she scrambled up the ladder with feline speed calling down to the kitten who's name she presumed was Carig.
"Come on! We musn't get left behind."
Then she was up and following the others, feeling a little silly for not getting up there sooner.

The coat felt oddly light, almost as if it wasn't meant for warmth. It was pure black, A small contrast to the glinting silver sword they'd found him with. A fairly long katana he'd been gripping, it took two of them to force it out of his hand. It now lay in its covering leaning against one of the walls near the coat. More disturbing was the dried stains on it, she couldn't have been sure till she found some of the same on the handle of the sword. It seemed to be blood, though the fox's injuries weren't the kind to yield the type of blood loss evident on the garment and weapon.

The fox himself looked as if he was no more than 18, but something told her that his appearance had been altered somehow as the amount of healed over scar tissue on his body was too much for anyone barely out of childhood.

He was strangely tall, almost six feet, and barely fit in one of their beds. It was an odd predicament but by his movements it looked like maybe she would have some answers.

He shifted on his side and seemed to look like he was going back to sleep, but the movement startled his 'audience' who jerked back a little and made enough noise to cause the fox to blink awake.

She'd one of many things, him to jump up and threaten them, him to sit up quickly and rub his head, him to demand answers to his location, but nothing she'd rehearsed in her mind happened. The fox blinked awake and looked forlornly at her son for a few moments his yellowish green eyes looked so miserable. Then him just rolled unto his back and started to stare at the ceiling.

"He didn't react the way i expected him too." Mara confessed. Shalu crossed her arms over her chest.

"Something must have happened to him." She said simply. The cub turned around and looked at them.

"What do ya think happened to em?" Shalu shrugged and Mara walked over toward them.

"Why don't you give him some time to figure this all out Jak." She said petting him on the head.

A blank, it was a all a blank. He could remember being helplessly miserable. And he remembered trying hard to hold unto memories. But it was all gone. A blank slate, vague images flashed in his mind but once they vanished it was like a dream that he couldn't quite remember. Someone died, he was sad, people hating him. No faces, no names, no memories. He stared silently intense on the ceiling racking his brain for anything, in vain but he refused to give up, something told him he had to remember.

Jak moved so his mother could sit down next to the dazed fox. She first spoke in the native tongue to see if he would respond to that. When she recieved no responce she spoke in the mobish. "What is your name?"

Craig gave a quick nod and followed Seana up the ladder. Once up he quickly rejoined the others inside one of the larger huts. The young cat had come in behind the girl as he pushed aside the cloth and quietly slip into the room. He noted several cots lined up along either side along the walls and figured this was probobly a hospital of some sort...

Tylor looked over as Craig walked into the hut. "Hey there little guy." he said as he patted the kit lightly on the head.

"I think you are right."

Midnight looked curiously at the unusually tall fox. Something about him was familiar... His clothing didn't look like something these people would make. Nor his weapon. He didn't look physically hurt; his pain appeared to originate from the heart.

He shook his head. There was little he could do for the stranger. Midnight turned back to Shalu.

"Who is this elder that you speak of?"

He understood it, but why? It wasn't his native language. But how did he know what his native language was? Finally he tested his muzzle to see if it worked, then blinked and coughed to clear his throat. It almost came out, but it got stuck and vanished as well. It was gone, his name had been there just a moment ago but now it was gone. He gritted his teeth and suddenly spat out a word that must have been some alien vulgarity, due to the frustration inherent in his voice, "Pestis." Then looked at her sadly, "Nolo. Meus nomen absens. "

Seana looked at the fox with sympathy, he looked confused and sad at the same time. He spoke in a language she couldn't understand as well.

He shook his head, "Meus nome.. name. My name is abse.. absent, gone. My name is gone." He forced out the words as if he'd known them all along but hadn't been able to find them till he forced them out. He didn't look any better though, frustrated and helpless, two things he knew he hated just by the feelings inside of him.

Mara thought for a moment. "Your name is gone. You don't remember it?"

"Probably got charged by a Shlow... Get hit in the head with one of those and your bound to get amnesia..." Shalu said while crossing her arms.

"Shalu... not now please..."

"I know of no illness that can cause memory loss like that." Mara stated.

"Perhaps he was cursed by his people and left for dead at our door..." Mara gave Shalu a warning glance and she and Shalu decided not to annoy her further or be kicked out of the hut. Mara turned back to the fox.

"Perhaps the Elder would be able to help you. He is very wise, maybe he knows your tribe." As she was speaking to the fox Shalu turned to finally acknowledge the blue one behind her.

"The Elder Korgis... He's very wise in the historical field. His master taught him how to decifer the ancient writings, speak the ancient words, and know the ancient world."

Midnight nodded slowly, interested in the elder historian. Maybe this Korgis could shed some light on what he and the others had missed out on over the last thousand years.

"I look foreward to meeting the elder. He does indeed sound wise."

Craig straightened out the top fur on his head as he shot an annoyed look up at Taylor. He didnt much appreciate getting his fur ruffled up like that even though it wasnt done to do so. When the young feline returned his attentions to the surroundings he finally took notice of a fox. Curious he thought quietly to him self as he walked up towards him. He couldnt quite place his paw on it but for some strange reason this stranger seemed familiar to him some how.

After being in stasis for so long Craig had lost all memory up to the point where he was put into the stasis pod. A side effect, something that would work itself out given enough time

"I'm sure he could help you, he is very wise." Mara explained.

"Can I go too mama?" Jak asked from behind his mother. "i finished all my chores." Mara nodded slowly.

"I supposed so." she turned to the fox. "Do you think you can manage on your own or do you need some help?"

"i guess we're going to see the elder right now..." Shalu said looking away from Midnight this time.

He tested himself and found no pain or problems at all with sitting up. "Maybe, I'm not sur..." As he spoke he tested his legs and was on his feet before he could finish the sentence. "I guess I'm ok."

Shalu walked past him. "Well then hurry up we don't have all day." She pushed open the flap and walked out.

"I still say it's PMS." Tylor whispered.

"Are you commin mama." Jak asked.

"Sorry honey dew, i have to stay here. You stay with Shalu." she kissed him on the forehead. "I love you."

"Hurry up!" Shalu said from outside.

IC:
Seana couln't help feeling the fox's sadness, he seemed to almost have an aura. She'd hate to loose her memory. But then she couldn't help wndering if it would be better to just forget about her family, seeing as she would never see them again.
She realised that she was very close to crying and n=bit her lip, concentrating on the fox;
"Stop crying, this is no time to start blubbering, do that in private!" But it was still hard to do.
She looked at him more carefully, was it just her? Or did he seem familiar.
"Hey, are you alright?"
She regretted syaing it almost instantly,
"Of course he's not alright, he's lost his memory and you're asking him stupid questions. Is that alright? I don't think so"
But it was too late now...

"I don't know. I don't know enough about me to know if I'm alright." He said flatly before comic relief started. Hey, watch this! Come on watch me! A youthful voice popped into his head for a moment mimicking the hedgehog's routine. For a moment a look of shocked confusion was all that was evident on his face. But after a moment it changed a bemused smirk, "You better be careful, you wouldn't wanna run outta brains to smash."

"That guy is weird.." Tylor said exiting the hut to follow Shalu. Mara walked up the the fox with some clothing in her hands.

OOC: Taking a wild guess since no details were given.

There was some familiar about the plain sky blue shirt laying at the top of the set of clothes, nothing he could put his finger on though. Instead he just nodded, "Er... thanks. But when and where am I going to change into this?"

"If you don't feel comfortable you can go in the back and change." she said with a smile. Shalu looked back in.

"How about we go and the cub can bring him to us when he's done." Mara nodded not really liking her impatient attitude. Shalu left again leading the ones that wanted to follow her to the largest hut in the center of the village.

Shalu poked her head in the main hall to make sure that it wasn't being used for a meeting of some sort. Sitting in the middle of the hall was the old beaver. Head of the elders and wisest in the village. All those who respected his wisdom always called him, "Elder Korgis?"

"Ah Shalu, back already?" She nodded.

"Some visitors to see you Elder..." she said.

"Ah well show them in." he said.

Tylor walked in behind the Echidna and looked around. "Hey nice place you go here." The old beaver got up and waddled over using a cane crafted from a branch.

"Hmmm... Let me see here." Korgis mumbled as he circled Midnight. "Yes, interesting. hmmm... couldn't be... or could it?"

"What could it be?"

The elder stopped in front of him and grabbed his front dreadlock and pulled him down to eye level. Before Midnight could protest he grabbed his chin into his hand and turned his head from left to right looking at him closely. "Hmmm.... looks to be the right age, right size, same looks... HO HO HO!" He laughed. "He's an Echinda alright. The echidna from the profecy sent to us from the gods to keep us safe from the Keng." Shalu blinked. "Welcome lord Echidna, say what was your name?"

"What?" Tylor blinked.

"You .. you can't be serious... elder..."

"Of course I am Shalu, this is the one we've been waiting for. A gift from the gods HO HO HO!"

Being called a devine gift was a first for Midnight. He reached up and pried the elder's hands away from his chin and dreadlock.

"My name is Midnight, although I am no lord. Who or what is this Keng you speak of?"

Nexus looked at the Elder. "WHAT?! That echidna is an ad-keh! He threw a rock at me! He is not a gift from the gods!" He then hit his head again with the rock.
