Unfortunatly the RP 101 discussion, which was a thread that contained all the info helpful to start an RP here has been lost during the hacking ordeal. =/

Basically, here, one would be required to write out a coherent and clear prologue and such as an introduction, stating what sort of RP this is in what Universe, characters to be involved e.t.c then people read, decide on whether they sign up or not.

Then hopefully, if people show an interest, the RP can start.

Okay JR, I don't know if this is your first time roleplaying, but why don't you look at some of the other roleplays, and see how they operate.

Is it an adventure, is it just a normal day in wherever, who are the characters, what do you need to do to join (as in a profile), stuff like that. But yeah, just look around at some roleplays and see how they work. Don't copy off 'em, just learn from them.

You have stated the Universe for a start, namely Segasonic Universe, yes? And what characters are permitted and such.

I think there needs to be more though. Like maybe write a short story for an introduction. Basically clarify where everyone is, when this is and what's happening exactly. That way people will know how to set up their own introduction and characters. People need to know what is going on put simply.
Your introduction can be anything from 'After the events of Sonic Adventure, where Sonic defeated Eggman... bla bla bla', or you can have a first person reccount their tale. Prologue, diary entry, pretty much anything that will set a starting story and a scene for people to enter. It needs to have considerable thought and effort. Definately more than a paragraph or a few sentences.

I hope what I said wasn't confusing ^^;. If anyone has anything better to add then go ahead.

A little more specific kid. Uhh...can there be characters that we make up, what's the plot,(if Eggman's in it) what half-baked plot is there? Is it a side story of DX, just in the universe, another untold story?

Start out with a post to start the adventure, like if you're Sonic, what is he doing? And what happens to kick the story off? That's yout IC, or
IN CHARACTER.

Now you give them the information on what goes on, what it is about, maybe have them fill out a profile like...

...stuff like that. That's your OOC, or OUT OF CHARACTER. Whenever you want to speak as yourself and not your character, be speaking in OOC.

Lastly, you need rules. What can and can't you do? Can people/furries die? No god-moding? Swearing? Is it PG-13 (which is mandatory by the way)? I'll join if you can make it more specific.
