(This looks interesting >.> I've never played the game, but I'd like to join if that's ok^^

One quick question, is this RP Humans only, or are other races allowed too?)

Name: Sergeant John LeVant
Age: 36
Gender: M
Description: A tall, physically strong man. He's not particuarly bright, nor does he talk much or have a lot of friends. He wears a more casual style of uniform, of navy blue slacks, white button-up shirt (tucked in, neat and proper), red vest, a beret, and well-built metal-encrusted combat boots.
Affiliation: Hierolith Republic, independant unit (bandit unit unofficialy associated with the Hierolith Republic)
Weapon/Equipment: He has a large lumberjack's axe strapped to his back, and a straight-blade sword in a sheath at his side. His right arm is covered by a giant gauntlet, which he uses as a shield. He carries a supply of grenades. He usually carries a decent stock of extra gear (rations, tool kit, etc.). He has no Cyframe.

IC:

John was sitting at a table, when the young Cyframe user entered. He observed silently, his drink in his hand. This boy seemed like a good target to follow...the Cyframe would be a great boon to his superiors!

OOC: Human only.

IC:

Gyrus was no fool. Adventurers had keen senses, and he knew he was being watched. He noticed the man out of the corner of his eye, who seemed to be eyeing his Cyframe, but put it out of his mind for now. Cyframes usually attracted a degree of attention, after all...He dug into the roasted chicken that now lay before him.

(OOC: Aw downer, I've had an idea for a character I wanna try in an RP, but if it's Human only she wouldn't fit.

Ah well, nvm. Let me know if this is okay Cy, if not I'll edit^^)

Name: Shaw Moorcroft
Age: 32
Gender: M
Description: Origionally a thin but well-built brown haired man with black jeans, a brown leather jacket and white T-shirt. His hair was wavy, and his eyes green, with a youthful fire in them. This was before he descovered his cyframe.
Affiliation: Origionally Stalur Federation, now unknown.
Weapon/Equipment: Possibly the largest cyframe ever found, extremely tough and powerful, it takes the form of an entire suit!
Cyframe Description: When Shaw first found the frame, it was a small spherical construction no bigger than his palm, but it attached itself to his chest and began to replicate new parts for itself, turning into a large lumbering battle suit! Shaw's entire body was covered in the thick, smooth armour, mottled brown in color, looking a little like stone. He now looks anything but Human as the armour continues to grow slowly around him. The headis large, with lipless jaws and sunken eyes, and sweeps back at the base of the skull to form a large crest, protecting the neck. His chest has been covered over by a tough breastplate, moulded in the fashion of ribs, and his limbs have been covered by thick suaves of the stone-like material, fitting together in a shape akin to muscles and sinews. (Bear in mind that this armour is OVER his body, his Human form has not mutated into this.)
Cyframe Abilities: The frame is armoured like a tank, almost inpenetrable, and gives Shaw incredible strength! The weakness of the suit though, is it's tremendous weight, making his movements terribly ponderous and slow, and his reactions almost nonexistant! One arm of the suit has grown to become a large lazer cannon built onto the wrist, while the other has grown sharp, spiked claws on the fingers, able to pierce most substances. Another weakness is Shaw's mind trying to fight the suit...sometimes his real personallity breaks through, causing confusion and disorientation. (see below for details) The frame has the abillity to detect other cyframes from considerable distance away.
Background: Shaw was once a soldier in the Stalur Federation army, but on a scout run of some ancient ruins he found the frame, then in it's small sherical form. He tried to keep it for himself, but one night while examining it he dropped it, and it fused itself onto his chest. It melded with his mind and took over, it's programming forcing Shaw's consiousness down and taking over his body! It's objective was to locate any Cyframe it could find and cannibalise it to improve itself, eventualy becoming the ultimate cyframe and the ultimate weapon in general!

The frame (in control of Shaw's body) killed the rest of his team and assimilated the frames they had found, building on itself, then set off into the world, hunting down any cyframe it could detect and killing anything in it's way! Shaw's mind is still inside, trapped, forced down by the machine, and sometimes he manages to fight back and regain control for a short time, but he is steadily getting weaker as the frame grows, and will soon be no more.

The Stalur Federation, unsure of what happened that night, are hunting Shaw wherever he goes, believing him to be in control of the suit and using it for personal gain. He is wanted for murder and high treason, although it wasn't his fault. Meanwhile, the frame using his body rampages around the world, chasing any cyframe it detects...

IC:

On a hill overlooking the valley in which the inn resided, a figure stood. It was gargantuan, over seven feet tall, and built like a tank! It's mottled brown skin, smooth and gleaming like marble, glinted in the sun.

Red eyes, robotic eyes, expanded and contracted as they focused on the small building down below. The eyes were small pinpricks of light sunken into massive, wide, squared-off sockets...sunken so deep that shadow covered them! In the figure's vision, crosshairs flicked in from the side of the red screen, locking on to the small building as data desplays on the peripheral identified the source of the signal it was recieving.

Somewhere in that structure was a frame.

With a whir of servos the mighty figure set off, striding down the mountainside like a steamroller. The ground shook with each footfall thanks to it's tremendous weight, and it's feet sank a short way into the soil beneath it!

It's strides were slow, but long, and it would reach the inn quite quickly...

(EDIT OOC: I wasn't thinking it draws power from Shaw inside, but it does require him to function...kind of along the lines of a frame to build on, a pattern to follow. It wouldn't have the abillity to just form on it's own...it needs a base to start from, and Shaw's body provided that.

And sorry to be a pain, but I don't use AIM >< Could I EZmsg you instead?)

OOC: Keep this in mind.

This, this, and the thing on her hip are all Cyframes, for reference, in order of Jet, Hand and Cannon types. They all rely on their users to function. They are also all easily removable. Yours would class under a "Legendary" type of Cyframe...so think of a good name for it.

EDIT: Wraith: it's worth a shot. I'll try PMing you. EDIT 2: PMed you. Check it out.

IC: As the massive Cyframe made its way towards the city, Gyrus' Cyframe began to tremble...along with the inn itself. The massive vibrations sent out by the Cyframe as it sped along the ground were shaking the entire city. He stood up, laying the money on the table...it felt like a stampede approaching fast! He put on his Ring Cyframe as it crackled to life and he ran out into the street...

"Never a dull moment," John said as he stood up. He drew his sword, and followed Gyrus outside. "What's causing it?" He asked aloud. He stood in the middle of the road, looking around.

The signal was on the move...

The Figure was nearing the outskirts of the town by now, and it left the fields, stomping down the main road towards the buildings. Travelers quickly ran out of the way as it approached, staring at it fearfully from behind nearby bushes!

There was a cart on the path of a trader, selling some wares from other cities, and it was in the path the large figure was taking! The trader was intimmidated by the figure, but boldly stood his ground as it approached, drawing his sword from his belt. "Just a second...whatever you are," he muttered, "if it's goods you want, I'll serve you, but you gotta pay like everyone. I don't want trouble."

The figure didn't reply...it didn't even look at the man. It's servos continued to whirr and hiss as it continued walking, not interrupting it's pace in the slightest! As it came towards the man it raised it's clawed left handimplanting it firmly on the trader's chest and pushing...

The man went flying, lifted clean up into the air and traveling a good fifty feet! He crashed to the ground again, fortunately on the grass, and rolled a little way, unconsious. Onlookers caught their breath in fright at the seemingly uncaring attitude of the...whatever it was!

The cart recieved the same treatment, it's goods spilling out all over the place as it was sent flying through the air, despite it's obvious weight, like a toy! It hit a tree and shattered, splintering into firewood.

The frame continued it's march, entering the city and striding down the street. The inn was near the entrance, and as it strode forward, it's eyes focused in on two figures stood in the road outside. Data displays flicked into view as it analysed them, especially the spinning piece of metal around one of them...

It stepped up to Gyrus and John, towering above them like a skyscraper, it's eyes fixed, not on them, but on Guyrus' Cyframe! As it approached, it's pace began to slow, and it's left hand once again reached forward slowly, making as if to grab the frame. It was almost as though the frame's owner and his "associate" were of no more interest than trees in a forest, as though they didn't even exist...

...to which the Cyframe itself spoke, in the form ot the electricity biting at its hand like an angry dog. "Woah...I think I know what it wants..." Gyrus stepped back, then pressed a button on his Cyframe. It began spinning faster, and faster, until a buzzing sound emitted from it. "You want my 'Frame? OVER MY COLD DEAD BODY!" He swung up with the Cyframe, slashing at its outstretched hand, the voltage pouring out of the Cyframe even more intensely...

Seeing the size and power of the 'attacker', John returned his sword back to it's sheath, and grabbed his lumberjack's axe off of his back. Hefting it up with both hands, he took a few steps to the side of the 'attacker', looking for an opening.

Whatever this thing was, it was too dangerous to let go unchecked. John was getting the impression that if it got a hold of the Ring Cyframe, the result would be bad...and he didn't want that to happen.

(OOC: I'm really sorry, everyone, for my dissapearence. I was half way through updating RPs on Saturday when my internet imploded, and it's only just been fixed now! Sorry for the delay, but now I'm back and ready to rock :thumbsup )

IC:

The massive figure recoiled at the attack, but more out of supprise than pain. The massive clawed fingers of the machine's hand seemed undamaged.

With a whir of servos the monster's head rose and the red eyes focused on Gyrus menacingly! He blinked as he stared at the red points of light. "uh oh..."

A massive pain exploded through his chest and he found himself flying backwards through the air! He traveled a good twenty feet before landing on the floor with a crash! He cried out slightly, winded.

The hulking behemoth ahead of him lowered it's hand and began to step forward, eyes still fixed on Gyrus, but a massive impact on the back of it's head destracted it! It turned round, red eyes scanning for the attacker!

John blinked in supprise as he stared at the tiny scratch his massive axe had caused. He had hit pretty hard, but it had barely touched it! What was this thing made of???

The shock put him of guard momentarilly, and next thing he knew he had been propelled sideways into the wall of a house! The wall cracked with the force of the blow, and if it hadn't been for John's axe hitting first and taking off some of his momentum, he would probably have been dead by now! He dropped to his knees, holding his shoulder. "Ugh..."

The towering frame surveyed him for a second, before turning and setting off towards Gyrus once again, it's massive feet crashing on the ground as it strode forward! Gyrus was still aching slightly, but he had largely recovered from his fall, and was getting to his feet.

"Okay big guy," he muttered, "you took us by supprise, but it won't happen again!"

Gyrus reached into his belt, pulling a canister with a pin out. "Hit the dirt!" He pulled out the pin with his teeth and hurled the grenade at the lumbering hulk. As the grenade reached the ground in front of it, it exploded, sending sticky goo spraying everywhere (Sticky Grenade, item from 1), like a spider's web exploding. Gyrus spun his Cyframe rapidly, burning away whatever goo came flying at him. The thing was immobilized now...or it should be. He ran, the Ring now held in both hands, sparking violently as though screaming in rage at the massive Cyframe which had attacked its master. Gyrus was screaming in rage too. He looked for the first part of the Cyframe NOT covered by goo and swing as hard as he could...

OOC: Try not to autohit, Wraith...it tends to leave a bad taste in the mouths of the other RPers.

(OOC: Only did that for starters Cy...like Gyrus said: "You took us by supprise." Just putting across exactly how tough this thing is^^)

IC:

The huge frame was indeed largely immobilised by the goo...it raised it's arms, the green material streaching between arm and body like some grotesque, tattered wing. The figure could still move, but it was considerably slowed down...even from what it had been before!

Sparks flew as Gyrus' frame slashed at it's shoulder, shearing across the brown surface and trying to cut deep! There was very little damage, but the attack had caused a long scratch across the shimmering smooth surface of the robot's shoulder pad!

The frame let out a long, metallic roar, like a cornered beast! It tried to swing at Gyrus angrily, but it's slow movements were slowed even further by the sticky muck it was covered in, and Gyrus easily jumped out of the way.

The red eyes were analysing the situation. Nothing could be acomplished while stuck like this.

Raising it's blaster right arm, it set the power level to minimum and aimed the long barrel downwards, beginning to burn off the green substance carressing it...

Gyrus wasted no time. Seeing he had cut into the armor, he jammed the Cyframe back at the hole, attempting to feed a few thousand volts into it...

(OOC: I found that it's almost impossible for me to get online during holiday. Apologies for my absence.)

John took a step back to assess the situation. This Cyframe did not have any obvious flaws, except its movement speed. He wondered briefly if its reaction speed was just as slow.

Moving into action, he turned and jumped on top of a few boxes and such, and once he was about one-story up, he turned, yelled out a battlecry, and jumped from his perch, using the distance to add to the mighty swing of the axe he brought down onto its head! While he was still in mid-air, time slowed for him for a moment, as he realized that maybe he had gotten hit harder than he thought - this was a stupid idea!

"Oh well, hope it works!"

(OOC: Bear in mind that while the frame's armour is almost inpenetrable, it has other weaknesses that aren't nessecerily visable to the naked eye. It is by no means undefeatable^^ Of course, the characters may have to descover these weaknesses...)

IC:

The electricity flashed across the frame's metal skin with a crackle of energy. despite the incredible power, though, the cut simply wasn't deep enough into the armour for the electricity to take effect!

One effect it did have, though, was to catch the frame's attention! It looked round, reaching up a massive hand and once again trying to grab hold of Gyrus' Cyframe! Gyrus saw the movement in time and quickly revved the frame up before it could get a grip on it, pulling it backwards out of the clitches of the monster!

Then John's blow struck! Sparks flicked off the metal and another large scratch appeared on the robot's head, but again, it wasn't particularly deep! Despite the massive weight of the axe and the force of the blow, the frame didn't even flinch at the impact!

Once again it lowered it's head andbegan to burn away the green slime holding it down, and it wasn't long before the stuff was completely eliminated! With another whir of servos the massive figure turned to face it's two combattants...

...and stopped suddenly, as though disoriented! The head began to look around slowly, as though confused. The huge mouth opened, and a heavily distorted, grating, yet somehow emotional voice spoke:

"Wh...where...am I?"

Gyrus stepped back, not loosening his grip on his own Cyframe one bit. "What?"

...not too far off...

The wind whipped up the tattered robes of the figure as it scanned the battle. Cataclysm seemed to be back...he'd have to consult the elders. The figure vanished in a wisp of smoke.

John hefted his axe onto his shoulder, and walked around to the front of the giant, eyeing it carefully. "Hmm..."

He shrugged his shoulders, not sure what to make of this. As long as it wasn't attacking, it wasn't a problem, so he decided to watch.

The beast's red eyes came to rest on the two in front of it, and in particular Gyrus' frame. The face was solid metal, frozen into a permanent evil glare, but the machine straigtened up suddenly, raising a hand towards it's mouth!

"A Cyframe?" the heavily distorted voice said, then the red eyes flicked up to Gyrus and John's faces. "Listen to me...you can't fight it!" it exclaimed, a note of desperation in it's voice! "Run away, get out of here while you still can! It will have no qualms about killing you!"

Gyrus narrowed his eyes. "Just hold on a second...what's going on here???"

"There's no time!"

Suddenly there was the noise of shouting from further down the street! All three figures turned to see the city's law enforcement charging towards them in tight formation...Knights in armour, each holding long two-handed swords in their hands! As they drew closer the huge Cyframe began to step backwards slowly, looking for all the world like it was scared! "Oh no...no!" muttered the grating voice.

The Knights came to a standstill a few meters away, spreading out across the street in a semi-circle. The leader of the force spoke up so all three could hear: "You're all under arrest for breaching the peace. Come with us quietly and you will not be harmed."

The Cyframe turned towards Gyrus and John again. "Get out of here!" it cried. "I...can't hold it...for much...aaaaargh!!!" The robot's hand and blaster-arm came up to the sides of it's head as the machine tottered and swayed, staggering around like a drunk man! The Knights re-affirmed their grips on the swords.

"I repeat, you are under arrest!" called the lead Knight. "Drop your weapons!"

Suddenly the Cyframe was active again! With another loud whir of machinery it's arms dropped and it's head turned to face the Knights stood in their formation! It's red eyes flared a brighter red as it surveyed them slowly, and it's mouth opened once again, only this time it's voice was much deeper, far more heavily distorted, and more ominous!

"This unit takes orders from no-one!"

The Knights steeled themselves, preparing for battle. "If you don't comply, you will be forced to do so!" came the reply.

The movement was slow, but unnexpected, so nobody was able to stop it! Without warning the Cyframe fully turned round, it's massive feet booming on the ground as it took a step! It raised it's right arm, and a powerful beam of light flashed across the semi-circle, cutting most of the Knights clean in half! They screamed as their bodies were calved up by the intense heat, their corpses dropping lifelessly to the floor!

Only two of the Knights were left! It took a few moments for them to register what had happened to their comrades, but when they did, they jumped up, charging forwards with their swords raised high!

The first guard was sent flying into the air, landing on the ground a few feet away with a sickening CRACK, his spine bent at an impossible angle! The second Knight wasn't so lucky...he managed to get off a largely ineffectual hit, but a moment later the Cyframe's huge clawed hand closed around his head! He struggled for a few seconds, his screams muffled by the massive metal palm in his face, but a moment later there was another CRACK as his skull cracked like an egg! The grip was released, and his body fell unceremoniously to the road, the caved-in head flooding blood onto the ground.

John and Gyrus had been watching the display open-mouthed! The thing seemed mercyless...unemotional! But...what was that bit before about???

The frame spun round to face them once again, taking two massive strides towards them and towering over them like a fortress! A whirr of motors as it extended it's huge hand towards them, palm facing upwards, clawed fingers open wide. The glowing red eyes regarded them coldly as the voice, the deeper, more destorted voice, rapped out an order:

"Deliver the Cyframe or you will be destroyed!"

OOC: maybe I should have been more clear. The planetary tech level is roughly equivalent to late WWII. most soldiers would be packing machineguns or a howitzer instead of swords, unless they're Cyframes, too.

Two explosions rocked the ground, a laser scored the ground in front of the massive Cyframe, and three medium-sized mecha stood in the moonlight.

"You, with the Ring Cyframe and you with the axe! Get away from the Cataclysm!" shouted a raspy voice, "The Shade Sect will take care of this!

OOC Quick profile:
Shade Sect Artillery Cyframe-standard issue (x2)
Equipment: 2x long range artillery guns, explosive rounds.
1x vulcan.
Size-large. User wears it like an exoskeleton, standing roughly 10 feet tall.

Shade Sect Command Cyframe (x1)
Equipment: 1x laser rifle, 2x vulcans, 1x melee claw hand
Special: Belongs to Rizualt Gerheim

Name: Rizualt Gerheim
Age: Unknown, suspected to be in mid 30s.
Weapon: Command Cyframe
Cyframe ability: see above.

Gyrus was stunned. The...Shade Sect? Acting openly? This could NOT be good.

John shouldered his axe and leapt into motion! He grabbed Gyrus and ran through an alley to get behind the Shade Sect Cyframes! By this time, of course, Gyrus had realized what was happening, and dealt John a blow squarely in the face! John dropped him, now that they were a little safer, and took a step back. "Sorry about that, but we weren't safe up there. No time for hesitation."

Gyrus rubbed his arm. It stung a little from the grab n' run, but it beat the artillery fire. "'sokay, thanks. I don't believe we've been introduced. My name is Gyrus. You are...?"

Glad that Gyrus' reaction was more an automatic self-defense thing than an actual attack, John relaxed a bit as he stretched his arms behind him. "John LeVant. Should we help them, or get you outta here?" To clarifiy his position, John added, "I don't wanna see what happens when that thing gets your Cyframe."

The Humanoid Frame had been unbalanced by the first explosion, dropping onto it's back with a CRASH. The newcomers had waisted no time...they immeadeately began blasting away with everything they had, blasting a crater into the road with the frame at th bottom of it! The assault continued until all the artillery ammo was used up!

The crater was now a good five feet deep, and thick black whisps of smoke hissed up from the lip. The air was still and silent after the booming of the explosions, almost like a calm after a major disaster. Gyrus and John glanced round the corner of the building as they prepared to leave.

Surely nothing could have stood up to that...!

Suddenly there was a whirr of machinery, and a massive, mottled brown, clawed hand lunged over the lip of the crater, claws embedding in the road nearby with a CHINK of metal! The two shook their heads in amazement as the enormous figure, blackened and beaten, but still very much alive, rose out of the smoke to a standing position in the crater! Could nothing beat this thing???

The frame was damaged...that was clear. It's movements were even slower than normal, and the outer shell of it's armour had been cracked...some wires and circuits had been severed at the joints and were now sparking with electricity, but on the whole, the thing was still moving! It's red eyes, peering out from a now blackened face, scanned the area slowly, eventually coming to rest on the massive machines of the Shade Sect!

The Cyframe raised it's blaster arm, sending a powerful volley flashing towards Rizualt's mech! He barely had time to duck out of the way before the blast screamed over his shoulder, narrowly missing him!

Quickly he turned back to face the crater, bringing his weapons to bear on the figure...

...but it wasn't there anymore!

What Rizault hadn't seen was that while he had been dodging, the Cyframe had quickly turned and charged off into another nearby alley, heading towards the outskirts of the city! It needed time to repair.

But it would not go too far. The Cyframe it was hunting was still close, and it would still be captured.

"Men!" Rizualt shouted, his laser warming up for the next shot, "retreat and reload! The Cataclysm's still after the Ring Cyframe. I'll follow myself, rendevouz on my signal once you reload!" The more lanky of the three mechs shot off into the alleyways after the giant Cyframe...

...but elsewhere...

Gyrus placed a hand against the ruins of the old town wall. "Man, I'm beat. Think we lost it?"

John looked around, senses open for the slightest sound or movement. "Maybe...but I'm worried. How did it find you in the first place?"

John was hardly winded; he was in great shape! Still, he was more tired than usual, after putting so much effort into trying to damage Gyrus' attacker.

"Aww, never mind. What do you want to do? I'd rather you keep running away, but it probably won't get tired. I don't know what to do...what can I do to help you?"

It seemed odd, John's change in manner. When Gyrus first saw him, he picked up bad vibes from John. But now, John really seemed to honestly want to help him get away!

"First off, stop eyeing my Cyframe. My dad, who gave me my Ring Cyframe was killed for a Wing Cyframe once back in Stalur," he looked sharply at John, "and even though you saved me back there, don't think I won't cut you in two if you try to take it from me." He looked back, hearing the sound of the massive Cyframe coming closer. "I have no idea why it's following me...but maybe we should put some distance between us and it." Oddly enough, John wasn't the only one so adept at changing manner quickly, it seemed.

(OOC: A thought, Cy. Which Frame is that "massive Cyframe" you mentioned in that post? I was kinda thinking the frame would retreat to repair it's damage for the moment...just keep track of Gyrus using it's scanners. Can have it still coming after them though if you like^^ Let me know.

Also, I may intro another char soon if that's ok, since it isn't really plausable to have the frame with Gy and John all the time, and that may lead it to not appear in the story very regularly...

Just checking. Let me know on the two points, and I'll IC accordingly.)

(OOC: Gotcha^^ will do ;) )

IC:

The frame's long legs strode over the fields away from the city and towards the mountains. It's scanner range was powerful, and it could still pick up the signal of Gyrus' Cyframe in the city. Once it was repaired, it would resume the search.

It came to a cave on a steep hill, and dissapeared inside, sitting down on a large rock just inside the cave mouth. The damage had already started to repair, but it would be at least a full day before it was ready for action again.

It was weakened, and focusing energy on the repairs. It was in times like this that...

Suddenly the red eyes flicked up from the floor and the frame looked around the cave. It saw the damage on it's arms and legs, and shook it's head slowly.

"Oh no...what have I done this time?"

Surely he, Shaw Moorcroft, couldn't be held responsible for the actions of this machine!

It called itself "Unit Apocalypse". During his time of servitude to the Frame's AI, he had been able to access it's memories and programming, not able to alter anything, the thing wouldn't let him, but to read. After all the time he had had, he had been able to build up quite a detailed picture of it's past.

Apparently it had been designed for good use initially, but even the society of the Ancients had a rogue's gallery, and the Frame had been captured by an underground syndicate while still in the testing phase. They had modefied it into the monster it had become, hoping to use it to destroy all other Cyframes and rule their society!

Their plans had been thwarted by their extinction, but when he had found the replication matrix, the heart of the beast and the thing that controlled it all, he had unwittingly activated it! Now it was carrying out it's programming it had recieved all those hundreds of years ago!

He fought for control...he tried to stop it, but the machine was too powerful, and he was constantly forced back into his mind, unable to see, hear, feel the outside world. The Frame was mercyless...it's AI was advanced, but it simply refused to listen to his pleas!

He was trapped in a prison of metal, with it's own mind and it's own purpose, that was using his body like a puppet on strings!

He slumped back against the wall of the cave. If the armour would have allowed him, he would have cried! There was nothing he could do...if he tried to attack the Frame, it would immeadeately draw him back in, forcing him away from reality and setting every nerve in his body afire as punishment! He tried to fight, but it was so strong, and he lacked the willpower...

It wasn't ment to be this way!

"Yeah, you should keep moving. If you know a safe location, head there. I'll check the surrounding area, make sure where it is if I can, and then I'll make a call to...some friends."

Gyrus' eyebrow raised. "What kind of friends?"

"Never mind that. Something as powerful as that can't be allowed to roam freely. My friends will be able to help us fight it, and they might have some information on it. Once I've done that, I'll catch up with you and make sure you're okay."

"Right. I'll head over to the city near the Gear Ruins. That's not too far off." Gyrus took off running, waving in thanks as he ran, then grabbed the handles on the inner rim of his Cyframe, taking off.

John looked around again, but couldn't see the lumbering figure anywhere. He turned, preparing to move to another vantage point, looking for the beast...

...and stopped suddenly!

Stood in the middle of the alley he was stood in, blocking the entrance, was a tall, thin woman. She had long, flowing blonde hair, reaching down to her waist, and wore a bright orange bodysuit made of some kind of flexible plastic. She wore a white belt around her middle, and the sleeves of her suit stopped at the shoulders, leaving her arms bare. On her head she wore a thick golden tiara, almost like a crown, with several gems embedded in it's surface, most notably a large ruby-like gem in the front.

She was grinning at him pointedly with a thin face and bright blue eyes. "Excuse me," she remarked in a casual voice, "but I couldn't help overhearing your discussion with your friend there. Might I ask what you were talking about?"

Name: Iyuer Feinelle
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Description: See IC above
Affiliation: The Society, also has some slight links to the Granward Empire
Weapon/Equipment: Small 5 inch dagger concealed in her boots. Also her Cyframe, worn on her head.
Cyframe Description and Abilities: Resembles a golden tiara or crown, with a number of gems embedded in it's surface. When activated, though, it can fire a focused beam of energy through the large ruby at the front, acting like a lazer. It also has an in-built scanner that connects to the wearer's mind, allowing them to "see" the area around them for quite a distance!

"If it involves Cyframes, I'm involved." replied the silky-sweet voice alongside him. He glanced around to see her walking next to him, her vivid blue eyes still fixed firmly on his face.

"I'm Iyuer." she continued, smiling. "Iyuer Feinelle. I'm a member of The Society...one of our few representatives in these parts. I heard roumours there were Frames in this area, so I came to look, but so far I haven't found anything."

Her expression suddenly dipped into a slightly sly smile. "Nothing, that is, until you and your friend arrived. That was a Frame he was using, wasn't it." It was a statement more than a question, but still she paused, as though expecting a responce...

-Haltzingrad, a border town between the Heirolith Republic and the Granward Empire-

Gyrus' arms hurt from the flight, but he landed all the same. Slinging his Cyframe over his shoulder, he looked over at the massive clockwork complex that made up the Gear Ruins. He knew he'd been flying for almost three hours straight, and his hands were numb from the cold. He walked into the city and sat down in the square. He hoped his newfound ally would get here soon...

(OOC: As of DEC 14/15 2005, I will be unable to make regular visits here, for an undetermined (and probably large) length of time. As such, my involvement in this RP must stop. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but I have no choice in this matter.)

(OOC: Downer Way ; ; Hope you get back soon bud.

As to the RP, I'd be up for continuing it if you are Cy, although it could be tough with just two...what do you think?)

OOC: there's two options. Put this in sleeper till Wayfarer can return, or we see if anyone else wants to join up. I'll edit the title so we can get ppl in.

(OOC: Back. Sorry for the situation. Too bad no one else joined in, but I guess everything had been quiet for the holidays. If no one else is still up for this, that's fine by me (for various reasons, not related to the RP itself).)

IC: "John LeVant. It's a pleasure I wish could have come at a better time, Iyuer."

He shrugged his shoulders and rolled his neck, loosening it up. "Yeah, it was a frame. I'll point you in the direction to go, then catch up with you soon. I need to make a call first."

The call he was referring to was intended for the bandit unit he was a part of. They would be able to (secretly) contact their leaders at the Hierolith Republic for him, and get advisement. Depending on the situation and where they were at present, they might even come to help! One never knew in unusual situations...

Iyuer raised an eyebrow, but decided not to ask about the call. "Okay." she said, nodding and smiling warmly. "Where was he headed?"

John pointed off in the direction Gyrus had gone. "He said he was heading to the city near the Gear Ruins, if you know where that is."

He glanced at her. "Hey, the thing that attacked us seemed to want his Cyframe, so if you happen to see somebody who has one, warn them for me. Oh, and please, be careful."

John broke off, heading inside a nearby building that he knew had a phone.

(OOC: I hope that's okay. I'm just assuming the bit about the phone. Also, CyKairus, I'm kinda out of focus, so if there's anything you would like to do with the people John is contacting, please do so. If not, I'll probably default to him warning them and being promised reinforcements.)

"Attacked?" Iyuer's ears pricked up, but Jhon was already wondering off with his phone to his ear. She shrugged and set off down the road. She knew the way to the city...she'd been there a few times.

As she walked, she thought about what Jhon had said. Something had attacked them and seemed to be after the Cyframe? Fascinating! She thought she had seen the security forces pass a short while ago.

She almost ran into the inn where she was staying to collect her things. Her luck today was just too good!

(OOC: Okay. Didn't mean to take so long with this part. Also, I think I solved a minor transportation problem, in case no one else had anything in mind already. I don't know how far away Gyrus is now, after all, so if I'm mistaken...)

IC:

John finished giving his report to the phone. There was a pause, as a couple of people discussed options on the other side. John couldn't make out anything of what they said. Then, the voice on the other side said, "Alright, here's your assignment: follow and protect the man with the Cyframe."

"Yes, sir. But, how will I get there quickly? His Cyframe was capable of fast travel."

"Oh? Yes, of course." A pause, where the person on the other end of the line must have been consulting for information. "That is being taken care of right now. There will be a motorcycle in the alley next to an inn. That will be your assigned transportation for this. The inn is..."

John listened to the location of it. It wasn't far off. The phone conversation ended, and he set it back on the reciever. Were they going to send reinforcements? Usually, they would have said, either way. Oh well, whatever. No one can always remember everything.

By the time he reached the inn, the motorcycle was indeed in the alley. He pulled it out into the street, and looked it over. It was the kind with a side passenger seat, a bright red color. On the back, it had a large box-shaped bag.

As he checked it over, Iyuer stepped out of the inn. As he glanced up at her, he smiled a bit, realizing the timing was good. "Hey, are we ready to go? Unless you had something else arranged, we might as well go together." He stood up straight. "I'm not too familiar with the way there." He held up the keys. "Would you like to drive?"

Iyuer raised her eyebrows. "Sweet! Where did you get that?"

"Friends." replied John vaguely, obviously not prepared to answer any more than that. He tossed the keys to her and jumped into the side-car.

Iyuer shot him a sly glance, but once again decided not to bother. No, she had learned during her time that far more could be learned about people through watching actions and moods than words ever could! She smiled as John looked back at her.

"Sure, I'll drive. Let's go!"

============================================================

The huge brown figure was on the move once again!

Unit Apocalipse strode over the fields with it's titanic strides once again, traveling, despite it's relatively slow movement, quite fast thanks to the ammount of ground it covered with a single step!

It's repairs weren't fully complete, but enough to move without danger. Plus the movement was nessecery. The frame it was tracking had moved, dissapearing off to the east at high speed! It was still just within the range of the frame's sensors, but it was right on the edge!

Inside, Shaw gritted his teeth. His mind had been suppressed again, forced down by the powerful, cold AI of the suit, back into the darkest recesses of his own mind. He didn't dare try to push forward. If he did, he knew the indescribable, unbelevable pain would follow!

He had to find a way to fight back, but how...?

A bulky figure stood on the outskirts of town, watching the massive Cyframe and the motorcycle head in the same direction. He shifted his weight under the Wing Cyframe he was wearing. Certainly...that massive mecha of a Cyframe could be tamed...and oh what a power it would bring to the scales.

Name: Commander Brian Hart
Age: late 30s
Appearance: Wears the dress uniform of the Stalur Federation at all times. Carries the Wing Cyframe he took from a resistant civilian back when the military was gathering rogue Cyframe users' Cyframes.

Cyframe: Wing Cyframe
Cyframe Appearance: (when not deployed), looks like a silvery, scaled set of coat tails.
(when deployed): appears as a pair of quasi-futuristic hawk's wings
Abilities: Subsonic flight, feather shuriken, wing lasers, sonic wave attack.

IC: Rizualt stood on a building. The Gear Ruins? This wasn't good...the Cyframe users could stop lower-grade assassins...maybe he could persuade them to stay away with words instead of grisly deaths...he leapt into his Cyframe and, with a thundering step, raced off towards Haltzingrad...

*in Haltzingrad*

Gyrus sat down on the edge of a fountain in the city, when a group of people approached him. "You're Gyrus, right? We're with John."

OOC: Hope you don't mind, I'm just trying to speed things along to the city.
