IC:

DB took a little time to consider the options. This whole thing was a mess. But surely the authorites had already taken charge.

"Well I think it sounds like a good idea. But who do we think we are? Mystery Inc. ?" she turned to Vixie. "What do you think?"

Wraith shook his head slowly. "I don't know..." he muttered quietly. "She seemed excited about coming, but I don't want her to feel forced if she doesn't want to..."

He turned and set off towards the changing rooms. "At any rate we may as well get changed. We can think about that when we're ready to go."

============================================================

Vixie looked thoughtful. "Is that a good idea? I mean, the authorities will probably be looking into it...we wouldn't want to get in the way." She grimaced as another thought came to her. "Or what if we're investigating, and they see us and think w did it?"

"I kinda doubt that."

Everyone turned to see a bedraggled Justin stumbling into the water park, and Cari and Wraith quickly dashed over in time to catch him. "Justin?! You look like you were just in a war!"

"Nearly was," gasped the human, breathing like he had just run a marathon. "There was a riot in the Sailorness District...SCPD is handling it now, it should be cleared up in a few hours."

Cari and Wraith helped the young Moderator to his feet, where he brushed off his shoulder and looked at the assembled group. "It's clear that this was an act of sabotage, and as such it will be investigated," he declared, having caught his breath. "But what with the riot going on, the SCPD are busy, which leaves it up to us to figure out what happened here. I'm giving everyone here permission to help figure out what's behind this sabotage."

He smiled. "So, who wants to help me catch some bad guys? It sounds like you're on the right track, looking for the source of the problem."

-------

Unbeknownst to everyone, the corrupted actuator crystal for RP Dome #3 began to exert its influence on the Dome...while others could log into it, no one could log out, and the game would become all too real...

OOC: Realized I was being silly trying to RP by myself, so I brought Justin back to the main group right now. I'll also try to help out with the RP dome stuffs, though.

Lokki considered the opinions of his present company, particularly Vixie's closing point. However, he was not about to let a mere possibility deter him.

"You know, that hadn't occured to me," mused Lokki, "But that would just make it all the more invigorating. The thrill of knowing you could be caught skulking suspiciously around a crime scene at any moment and all that. This detective idea of mine is sounding like jolly good fun at the moment. Although if you're really that worried, no-one - well, certainly not I - is forcing you to accompany me on this little investigation. Still, as with so many things in life, the more the merrier.

"Anyway, before we can do anything, we must first be suitably attired. I'm off to the changing rooms and if you two wish to redress also, then we'll meet back here once we're done. If, of course, either of you are still up for this. Otherwise, nice to meet you both."

With that, Lokki turned on his heel and headed for the changing rooms once more, waving back to the pair as he did so. Of course, he did not actually need to return to the changing rooms to get dressed, it just seemed like the most appropriate place for it.

Upon arriving at his destination, Lokki retreived his vestments from their extradimensional storage place and quickly put them on before returning to his designated meeting point. There, he waited for DB and Vixie to return, assuming of course they were going to.

OOC: Lokki, DB and Vixie, although all in Hydrocity, are separate from Wraith's group ATM IINM, so Lokki hasn't heard Justin's announcement.

IC:

DB went back to the women's changing rooms and put her clothes back on.

Well I guess looking into the crime would be fun. But I don't fancy getting caught.

She left the changing rooms and walked around aimlessly for a minute or two.

It feels like I'm in some Scooby Doo alternate universe. Only without the pot head and talking dog. And I doubt Lokki is a jock...hmm.

After thinking it over for a few moments longer, DB made up her mind and headed back to the meeting place.

Ah heck, It'll be fun!

Cari looked down at her stuff, then back and forth between Justin and Wraith. She smiled, saying "Sounds like a fun idea! Besides, whoever did all this shouldn't just get away like that... It's for a good cause and it gives us something to do before the fireworks show.

"So I guess yeah, I'll help!"

And before anybody could start another conversation with her, she nodded politely. "Now if you'll excuse me...." she said with a smile and dashed off towards the changing rooms.

About ten minutes later, she returned to where they stood in her outfit from before... a loose, long-sleeved silver blouse hung from her shoulders, combined with a purple skirt about mid-thigh length. She seemed to have gotten all the goo out of her damp hair. Her necklace gleamed in the light from the sun as she leaned against the wall, waiting for her friends to return.

"Sure!", Both Siv and Silver said, ten continued to jinx each other at the same time, three times. "We'll do it, I'd personally like to find out who tried to kill me...", The both said at the same time again, Siv broke the exactness by yelling at the top of his lungs. "STOOOP THAT!"

Wraith nodded. "Yeah okay, I'll come." He turned and stepped into the changing rooms, emerging a moment later in his black jeans, white t-shirt and black leather jacket. "Ready when everyone else is."

============================================================

Vixie thought carefully as she moved back to the changing rooms. She had to admit she wasn't keen on the idea of investigating this problem. For one thing she didn't want to get in the way of any investigation the authorities may be planning. For another, she was here simply to have fun! While DB and this Lokki character seemed friendly and nice, the mission itself didn't strike her as being "fun".

As she made her way into the changing rooms people stopped and watched her pass in suprise, staring at her large wings, but she took no notice of them. She was used to the attention at home too.

She quickly got changed into her normal clothes, a pair of grey cotton sports pants and a matching sports vest, and moved back out into the waterpark. As she exited the changing rooms she thought she saw an unusually tall figure she thought she recognised, but the figure dissapeared into the crowd before she could catch her.

She considered a moment longer, then turned and set off towards the Hydrocity Entrance. It wasn't anything to do with the two new people she had met, it was simply the fact that the investigation didn't appeal to her. They should be able to get on with it just fine.

She stepped out the gates and set off walking down the crowded streets towards the city center. Where should she go now, she wondered...

IC:

DB made her way back to the area where Lokki was standing and waiting for the two girls.

"Hey I'm back." She waved. No sign of Vixie yet. She noted. They had went into the dressing rooms at about the same time. DB also remembered how skeptical Vixie was, almost more than herself. Maybe she won't come.

He sat down, lying against the solid stone wall that belonged to a shop. The happy mask shop. Despite it, he sighed, as he looked up towards the sky. The virtual, unreal sky... but dang, if it didn't look real. Everything here felt real, which in truth was actually quite scary. Ash looked down from the sky to his hand, which he outstretched, and then tensed into a fist. He then relaxed it, and tensed it again twice more. It felt incredible.

He was dissapointed. He had spotted Matilda who he thought was a Player character, but she had dissapeared off, to do whatever her character would need to do. He still hadn't seen Lena, and wondered if in fact she had joined this RP or not.

Ash once again tilted his head to the sky. It was getting dark now, about to turn night. If this RP followed the game as closely as he expected it to, the drawbridge should rise soon, and then the Stahlchildren outside it wouldn't be able to come inside. The people outside, such as a couple who were continually dancing in a circle all day, were about to go inside, and out were coming packs of dogs. He sighed. It looked doubtful that he would meet anyone else at the moment. This RP seemed to be getting boring now... he suspected that a lot of the other RPers were all the way across the world, Hyrule. He doubted that there was a true limit to where RPers could start.

Thoom, thoom.

Ash suddenly shifted his head down to ground level, to the sound of the noise. What was that?

Thoom, thoom.

It came from the left. Ash frowned, and concentrated through the darkness in that direction trying to pick out anything. But he couldn't see anything.

Again, thoom, thoom.

What was that?

Suddenly, Ash jumped as something touched his shoulder, it was unexpected and came from nowhere. Ash instinctively rolled forwards and along the way picked up the handle of his spear so that when he came out of the roll, and jumped on the spot in a 180 degree fashion, he was facing whatever touched his shoulder, and his lance was held out, in an intimidating fashion to whoever it was.

"Freeze! Who is that?!" Ash called.

"Aww, goro! Land a helping hand please, goro!" The figure said, and as it came into the light of a nearby torch, Ash could see what it was. A goron.

'Strange. They don't normally come down here from Death Mountain. What is one doing here?' Ash thought to himself.

"Please listen to me, goro. I mean no harm, goro. I came down here to do trade with some of the shop keepers for the Goron shop, and had made an appointment with the inn, goro. But they overbooked and all their other customers got there before me, goro, so now I have nowhere to stay. Do you have a home here I could stay the night in, goro? I would be willing to pay." The goron said. His facial expressions bellied the fact that he was obviously concerned and slightly distressed, and he was also carrying a large backpack of supplies.

"I'm sorry, but I haven't got a home here. I'm a nomad, just travelling from place to place, helping where I can, but er, I'm not sure if I can help you in this case." Ash replied.

"Oh, goroooo..." The goron sighed, and Ash felt sad with him. He looked around to see if anyone else was around, to see if they could help, but he couldn't see anyone else either.

"Maybe we could knock on some homes, ask if people will let you stay and..." Ash began to speak, but was suddenly interrupted.

Thoom, thoom.

The sound was back. But of course! The sound came from his left originally, but the goron didn't! Ash thought it originally belonged to the goron, but this really wasn't the case. So what was the cause of that sound...?

Thoom, thoom.

"What's that sound, goro?" The goron asked.

"I'm... not sure." Ash replied, frowning as he again looked in the direction of where the sound was coming from. "Do you want to check it out?"

"Well I've got nothing else to do, goro." The goron replied.

"Right. My name's Ash, by the way. And you?" he asked, as the two began to move in the direction of the strange, repeated thumping.

"Darmunio." The goron replied. "I'm so happy to meet a new friend, goro!"

'Right, okay.' Ash thought to himself. 'Let's just...'

CRASH!

It smashed and was destroyed into splinters. The drawbridge that was designed to guard the Market town had been destroyed, and with it came swarming a series of beings, things that swarmed like bugs. But they were far more then just bugs, they were something much worse. Skeleton monsters. Stahlchildren.

But that was impossible. That never actually happened in the game! Ah, but whose to say the game's restrictions have to be placed here? That would be far more boring, wouldn't it? He had to admit this was exciting enough to lift him out of his boredom, and especially to do so in fighting! But still, he was one person here, against an invading army! These numbers, no matter what he came up with, he couldn't succeed in this!

Ash spotted a guard that inhabited the building nearest to the drawbridge be run over by the Stahchildren, trampled to possibly death. The Stahlchildren spread out, and began to attack the buildings and anything else they could see, setting them on fire, killing the NPCs and the dogs, setting the market into a blaze within only a few minutes.

"W-what do we do, goro?!" Darmunio asked, quaking.

"Can you fight?" Ash asked, weighing up his options.

"I'm a merchant, not a warrior!" Darmunio replied.

'Ugh, I can't leave these people behind! That justs not me! But against an army is impossible! I... I can't...' Ash said, trying to deliberate what not to do. But before he could conclude his thoughts, he was shocked back into the real world.

A stahlchildren jumped towards him from the side, brandishing a spear, aiming right at Ash's head, and thrusting forwards, aiming to end his life at once. But Ash was saved, as the spear was splintered and destroyed by a stronger force. Namely, the strength of a Goron's armoured back.

"Goro! Look out, Ash-goro!" Darmunio shouted.

"R-right!" Ash said, letting instinct take over. He jumped to his side, somersaulting while he did so, over Darmunio and the Stahlchildren soldier, landing behind the skeleton's back. Before the skeleton could react, Ash's body turned swiftly and with it his weapon in a long curved arc. One that slashed the Stahlchild in two, seperating the monster's skull from the rest of his chasis, and then erupting the monster in a cloud of smoke and back to the demon world it came from.

"Wow, brother goro! You're strong!" Darmunio shouted.

"Perhaps, but not even I can take on an army. Let's get out of..."

A sharp, slicing pain in his back. He was right. There were too many... too many to properly react and escape in time. Instead, he paid witha second Stahlchildren's spear in his back, which sent his vision into black, and the world around him began to dissapear and vanish, his last vision that of Darmunio's scared face.

Huh. I'm dead already? Man, that blows. I thought I would have lasted longer then that at any rate. What an unfair scenario to throw at you. Oh well. At least now I can see where Lena is...

...

...

...What? I... I can't get out?!

The darkness swarmed around Ash, as time passed. Time. It seemed like it was flowing now, faster than he could imagine. After the initial panic of not being able to log out, a semi-unconsciousness wrapped around him like a warm blanket.

Time to wake up.

What? Wake up? Ash had no idea who that was, but the voice was familiar.

Blast it, there's no time for this! Get up before I have to hurt you!

It was a woman's voice, very familiar. But, but I can't!

A light slapping on his face proved him wrong. The world lit up around him. He was lying on a bed, in a house in the back alleys of the castle town. Matilda stopped slapping his face when she saw his eyes open. Darmunio stood nearby, a very concerned look on his face. Matilda's face showed relief. "Finally! Are you able to move?"

Matilda stepped back, and Ash sat up. His body ached, and he quickly discovered his wounds had been wrapped in bandages. "Uh...I think so, yeah."

Matilda turned away from him, and took a few steps away. "Good. I've never seen anything like this before. I started my hunting, like I told you I would, but after defeating a couple, I couldn't find anymore Stalchildren. It wasn't hard to see where they were. You and your goron buddy here got lucky. I was able to use my magic to make us invisible to them, and then I got you here. I'm out of magic, and my last healing potion is what saved you." She turned back to him. "But enough of that. They're still out there, wrecking the place, my ward is about to run out, and it's only a matter of time before they get here. I would just leave, but my chances of surviving aren't much better than yours."

OOC: Lemme know if that's acceptable.

EDIT IC:

Mickey had finished cleaning most of the purple goo off, and had also finished changing. Still, he didn't exit the changing rooms. A sudden rush of panic held him paralyzed in the small changing room he was in. Outside, he could hear the sounds of other people, getting ready to leave the water park as well.

"What is wrong with me?"

The fear was overwhelming. It was taking a lot of effort to keep from screaming or blindy running in a random direction. He focused on breathing, trying to keep it steady, even though his pounding heart was making controlling anything difficult.

He just hoped that the others weren't going to wait for him, because this could take a while.

"Welcome back," Lokki greeted DB. "What of Vixie? Will she be joining us?"

"I haven't seen her since I left the changing rooms," DB replied.

"'Tis hardly surprising, since she wasn't terribly enthused about this whole affair from the outset. Still, 'twould only be polite to give her five minutes or so to materialise before we set off without her."

* * *

A few minutes passed and there was still no sign of the third member of their party, so Lokki and DB set off in search of the inner workings of Hydrocity.

After some walking, Lokki happened across a door labelled "Private", which seemed like a good place to start. Testing the doorknob, it was locked, as he had expected. He hummed, then checked to make sure no-one was paying much attention to him - which they were not, since most of the people still there were all preoccupied to with making a swift exit - and delivered a hefty kick halfway up the door on the other side from the hinges. The door gave slightly, but did not open, so Lokki span round on the follow-through and kicked the door again. This time the door swung wide open, revealing - much to the pair's disappointment - a closet filled with janitorial supplies.

"Bugger," remarked Lokki rather crudely.

He was about to walk off in one direction, when DB grabbed him and pointed at another door a few feet in the opposite direction down from the supply cupboard, also marked "Private". "Let's try in there," she suggested.

"Very well," said Lokki, walking up to the new door and inspecting it. This one was also locked and looked a good deal sturdier than the last. He could always melt the lock, but he had no guarantee that he would not fuse the two halves of the locking mechanism, effectively sealing the door more securely than they were already. He could blast the door down with the shotberd, but that would attract to much noticed and, anyway, Geo just had to have convinced him to leave it behind.

Lokki turned to DB. "You don't happen to be able to pick locks, do you?" he inquired, "Or have anything that could be used to?"

Ash continued to blink as he righted himself up, listening to Matildas words. It was strange though he should have been logged out. Instead he had met a strange sensation he had never encountered before in RPing. What exactly it was was difficult to remember correctly. Hazy. Blurry. But right now it didnt much matter anymore, they had to deal with this situation at present. Dealing with the Stahlchildren.

Uhh any ideas? Ash asked.

Brother goro! Look outside! The Hyrulian Knights! Darmunio shouted out. This automatically brought Ash to his feet, who looked outside, towards the castle entrance and, of course, was virtually an entire army of knights coming down from it, towards Hyrule Market and the invading Stahlchildren. They were all walking forwards dignified, their rods held firm within their hands, the tips of the metal upon shining brightly in the twilight.

The Stahlchildrens attention all shifted towards their rampant destruction, the ravaging of the peoples bodies and homes, towards this new enemy, this vanguard. The Knights calm walking pace stopped, and then they broke out into a run, charging forwards, and joining the battle against the Stahchildren, their armies clashing together in a brutal show of might, the knights destroying many of the Stahlchildren, but in turn, the skeleton forces also decimating the hylian men.

Should we try and help them, goro? Darmunio asked.

Its my job. I have to go back out there. Ash replied, wincing.

Are you crazy? You know what happened the last time that happened! Face it, its impossible to fight against an army like that! Theyre giving us an opening just as much as the rest of the people that are still alive at the moment to escape, so we should go into the mountains and escape, now! Matilda shouted.

Shes right, brother goro. We could go to Goron City! Darmunio shouted out.

No, I cant! I have to help! Ash shouted. Now get out of my way! Ash said, trying to get past the large Goron who was blocking his way.

No! I wont let you, brother goro! Darmunio shouted back.

Hey! Look! Matilda exclaimed, pointing towards the window. The two mens struggle stopped, as they turned back to look outside. The battle was still raging, but there was something else. People on horses. Running through the market through an opening, towards an exit! One of them, in the lead, had two people, one a much large, blue garbed woman, carrying a small, purple dressed girl. Behind them, chasing after them was a large intimidating man with fiery red hair and a black costume, piercing, green eyes.

It lasted only a few seconds, as the figures ran out and away from their vision and Hyrule Market. Ash turned back, to look to the fight. Most of the Stahchildren had been destroyed, but at that same notion, many of the Hyrule Knights were dead as well. And coming back to life in the form of Redeads!

brother goro? Darmunio asked.

We go now. Theres no one left to save. Lets just get out of here whilst we still have the time. Ash said, looking away from Darmunio, his face cast in shadows. He then charged forwards, busting out of the door whilst the goron and Matilda followed suit, and at that time, their invisibility ran out. They were in the backalley way of the Market, and before them were still two Sthachildren that had survived.

We cant go through them and the main pathway! Well have to go through the side and over the wall! Matilda said. This way!

Matilda began to lead the way whilst Ash readied his lance in order to deal with the oncoming Stahlchildren and guard their escape, but he suddenly stopped, frozen for a second. His back felt like it was on fire!

Go! shouted a new, unfamiliar voice to Ash. A wounded Hylian knight came through a gap between the houses into the alleyway. He was wounded, but still alive, and brandished his own weapon. He was probably one of the last knights alive. Ill make sure these monsters wont get you! Now go!

Ash winced again. This was the kind of responsibility he felt he had. He couldnt just leave this soldier behind to fight, but he had no choice. The time to escape was now, they had to go immediately.

R-right. Thanks. Ash said, turning and leaving, following after Matilda and Darmunio who were climbing a set of concrete stairways to the side of the great wall that blocked off Hyrule Market. Once at the top, Darmunio jumped off the side, since there were no stairs to lead back down to Hyrule Field. His massive weight and defence protected him from the fall and left him unharmed, and then Matilda jumped over the edge towards him, where the goron caught her.

Ash scaled the stairs last, taking one last look towards the group, the fighting knight and the rest of Hyrule Market and the Castle. The Castle was in quite a poor state of affairs but Hyrule Market was completely decimated. He could no other person in there apart from the fighting knight, and a boy clothed in green.

Green?

The boy took no hesitation, as he moved quickly, dodging and weaving in between the slow ReDeads and turning right, through a pathway towards a large building a small distance away. A fabled building that Ash instantly recognised, and it was now he understood that this did fit in with the game. This RP would it be set during the seven unseen years? The boy of legend who was heading towards the Temple of Time with the Ocarina of Time. Incredible.

Ash turned away from the chaos, and smiled slightly. He knew that everything would be alright, and that here, now, their survival was most important.

And a burning, confusing question in the back of his mind. Why couldnt he log out?

IC:

DB thought for a moment and figured out what she had that just might work. She reached up into her hair and pulled out her hair-pin, causing her bun to fall down losly around her face. She handed the dark hair-pin over to Lokki. "Here, this might just work." He took the pin and DB turned around to look at the people. Good, still nobody was looking their way. Hopefully the door's security would not be too tight.

By the time Darmunio had caught Ash, and they started heading towards the Death Mountain region, Matilda had made a quick circuit of the area. She got back to the others, and reported, "the coast out here is clear. We should make haste."

As they walked, Matilda glanced at the faces of her new companions. Fate had tossed them together, and they were an odd bunch. But something told her that they could make it, if they worked together.

Michael let his own mind think. "Boy, the creator of this RP sure went to great lengths to get it going! And to give us each the ability to survive what would otherwise have been a guaranteed death, that's amazing! I would have expected Ash's player to have been logged out! I have to wonder, though, is this Darmunio a player, or an NPC? I could try talking to this Ash, but it would be going out of character, and if Darmunio is an NPC, then he might start thinking Matilda is crazy.

Ash appeared to be deep in thought. Matilda thought about asking him what the problem was, but she thought she knew. He would have been so willing to die back there, knowing that he could have done his part to help fight evil. The guilt showed on his face. She looked forward again. "Darmunio, do you think Goron City will be defensible? I mean, if an army that size attacks, will your people be able to hold them off? I'm thinking it might be safer for us to head down to the Kokiri Forest, where we will have more room to run, rather than get cornered. I don't look forward to having to fight my way off of Death Mountain, if you catch my drift."

OOC: I guess the only way for any investigation to take place would be for me to give the 2 trouble makers actual identities. So I can get started on this if needed. If anybody wants to help then don't hesitate. nn;

IC:
The two figures had long since left Hydro City and were now casually drifting through the crowds of unknowing people, unrecognized and safe as long as that fact remained true. Nobody had seen them pull there nasty little trick but they had seen the fair goers frantically trying to get out of the pools before the gel thickened and trapped them.

one of them giggled and whispered to the companion "That was a good run wasn't it?"
"Yeah it was." the other replied with a grin. "You don't suppose we can do it again do you?" The other and slightly shorter one shrugged, "There isn't any other places that hold that much water." That statement was true. "Well then....we can always look for something else to have fun with."

"...Yeah."

Well, we could discuss how to move this forward.

Currently, Justin, DB and Wraith are together in a group anyway, right? We could just continue with these three and move forward with them, I don't see a reason why we can't.

One thing that might help is to give each other an idea of our characters' abilities, skills, whatever, to give us all an idea of how we can use each other to advance the plot.

Justin Hobbes, 5'10", human, brown hair, turquoise eyes, has skills in repairing, building and using machinery. As a Moderator, it is his duty to use these powers in combination with his natural talents to preserve order in Sega City.

I don't think I'll bother continuing with Stahlmansche, unless it becomes convenient to the plot.

Okay, current situation: Justin, DB and Wraith are going to the machinery room for Hydro City to investigate the mysterious cause of the purple goo.

How does this sound?

If everyone was still interested in this RP, they'd still be posting in it and we wouldn't be talking about this right now. 😛

For reals, though, I think the best way to advertise would be to just continue the thread without them, and then when people see it as active and continuing they'll be all like, "aw snap, I was in that RP!" and then it's up to them to get back involved and whatnot.

Kinda cruel and ruthless and un-Tergylike? Maybe, but I've been in enough RPs that had to halt and start and halt again that I know it's practically impossible to get everyone back together after an extended absence. Cherry and I had to transform Crossover Heroes into a fic because we wanted to continue the story. If they want to come back, they'll come, but since RP is supposed to be a fun diversion and not a working commitment, us trying to drag people back in will take a lot of effort with little return. But if you feel that it would be important to at least let them know, you are certainly free to do so.

I'll just get us started here, since I've ranted enough to warrant putting something in IC.

IC:
Justin reached out and turned the handle of the door leading to the pool machinery in Hydro City, but he was surprised when the door turned out to be unlocked. "Well that's not a good sign," said Justin out loud as the door swung open and he stepped inside. Behind him, Wraith and DB followed closely as they came into the darkened machinery room, which was much larger on the inside than the brightly-colored outside might have indicated.

"Is there a light switch over there?" asked Justin, pointing to the wall near the door.

"Here's one," answered Wraith as he reached out and flipped the switch, and he turned around with the others to look at the machinery.

Justin shook his head slowly. In front of them was the artificial canal that brought water in from Sega City's water supply system, but while it was bringing in crystal clear water, about halfway through it was changing into the gel-like purple goo that had nearly encapsulated several hundred swimmers. The goo was bunching up near the pipeway that led to the rest of the park, forcing the machinery around them to work harder to process the bulky substance.

"This is ridiculous. Somebody must've broken in and dumped something into the water supply," stated Justin as he bent down next to the canal and looked at it closely, trying to determine exactly where the water started its unusual transformation into goo.

"Who would do something like this?" asked DB, going to hands and knees to get a closer look as well.

"I'm more interested in the why," said Wraith as he slammed one fist down onto the palm of his other hand. "They nearly ended up killing hundreds of people, they knew the festival was happening today and entry to Hydro City was free. So why take the effort to ruin everyone's fun and put people in danger?"

"It could be just a prank gone wrong," said Justin carefully. "But it might also be terrorists from one of the many different worlds that are currently accessing the MFW for the week's festival. They might disagree with using the MFW as a center of travel and commerce, or they might view our society as destructive. But whether this was prankwork or terrorism, we're not going to let this happen."

Justin stood up and stretched out his right hand, spreading the fingers toward the place where the goo was building up from. Wraith and DB both looked at him questioningly, but Justin held up his other hand toward them for silence as he closed his eyes and focused on the mysterious powers granted him by the Figment Keys as a Moderator of the MFW. You don't belong here, he thought as hard as he could. You are preventing the proper function of this park.

It took several minutes, but as Wraith and DB watched, the purple goo stopped generating itself in the canal. Slowly, yet steadily, the gel remaining shrank and changed colors, until it was finally running free and clear again as water. The machines around them stopped straining and sounded much better in their whirring and spinning.

Justin opened his eyes, a sweat breaking out all over his body as he dropped to one knee. "The cleanup crew will still have to neutralize the stuff already in the park, but at least the source has been stopped," he said aloud, his voice strained as if he had just run a mile in a few minutes. "I'll have them send some of the goo over to Vector to analyze it and see if they might be able to figure out where it came from. In the meantime, let's look for clues in here. The culprits might have left something behind we can use to track them down, perhaps to their next target."

OOC: Alright then. I'll hang in this as well.

IC: The small group began to search the small room. At first DB was bewildered. What could they possibly look for? At first glance everything looked untouched. She knelt closer to the floor, near the water canal where the purple goo used to be. There was nothing there. But when she focused on the rim of the canal, she noticed smething that looked like a smudge. "Hello whats this?" She waved over Justin and Wraith to show them her find. What looked suspiciously like a set of fingerprints.

Main Street Fair:

There was an announcment of a Pie Eating contest about to start in just a few minutes. The two trouble makers stoped in their tracks. The shorter one drooled and his pointed teeth spread across his face in a greedy grin. "I could win a pie eating contest without even trying! I gotta enter!" His companion shrugged and looked off in some un important direction. "You know how you are when you eat too much pie in one sitting, you go bananas..." Then she grinned. "Go have at it."

OOC: Terg you stole DB from me how dare you? 🙁

Anyway. I am still interested in this RP, it's just all my plots apart from Lokki's sort of dried up (mainly as my characters all buggered off). I was hoping with my last post that DB would have given me slightly more to work with (such as by having Lokki actually open the door rather than just giving him a lock pick), but she didn't and then I wasn't sure how to carry things on and then I was focusing on other RPs and then I was busy. Lalala excuses.

Point is, Lokki's on his own at the moment and all my other characters (apart from Joy, who I think is still with Espadrille) would have to be re-introduced. Nuch I can bring back if we ever get to evening (provided that Terg is willing to carry on Stahlmansche's plot). Roux I don't know what I'm going to do with and Nuchta I'll say just went home or never even came in the first place (since she's been out of action for ages and didn't really interact much to begin with). As for Lokki, is it alright if we pretend that he joined up with Terg and Wraith at the same time DB did? Just for convenience's sake.

Also, should I put a notice in the first post subject line (i.e. the topic name on the front page) to say that new players are welcome? It might liven things up a bit.

I'll IC another day; it's late and still have to read all the new posts.

OOC: Yes to Lokki joining the others for simplicity's sake, I did kinda bullrush it as it is so you're perfectly welcome to do that. Also, yes to include "new people welcome" detail, as some people may not know that this RP is getting a revival.

I'm willing to carry on Stahlmansche's plot if you are with the whole formal evening thing goin' on. If you really want to continue with Joy, I'm ready to do that too but I'm not entirely sure what I could do with that (suggestions are welcome).

Aaand there we go.

Wraith knelt down, examining the prints on the plastic. They were smudged in a small blob of the purple ooze...apparently the person responsible hadn't noticed some of the gunk had smudged up onto the side.

"I don't suppose anyone's got print powder or anything?" he muttered, glancing up at the others. They shook their heads in unison.

"At any rate, this is fresh." continued Wraith thoughtfully. "Whoever did this didn't plant it to go off at a certain time...they were here very recently."

His eyes flicked across to Justin as a thought occured to him. "Say, do you know if there are any survailence systems for this room? If they were here not so long ago we should have little problem finding the point when they entered and identifying them..."

OOC: I will post later today. But I created that random Pie Eating Contest so that more people can get involved in the festival. So to get this RP more active again you can have some of your characters enter it if you want.

IC: The Pie Eating contest was about to start in only 20 minutes. A nearly endless array of pie lined several long tables went nearly half the length of the large food court. People were signing up at the many sign up areas to have a stab at the contest and to get free eats, the shortest of the troubling duo was one of them.

"Hee hee...pie...I love pie..."

His sister was standing out in the crowd. She watched her brother sign up for the contest. She smiled. She was not kidding when she said he went bananas after eating too much pie. Another oppertunity for fun had shown itself and she did not want to pass it up!

(Yes i know that post was very short. When I feel more confident in what I should do next. I will post longer)

Vixie was wondering through the Main Street fair glancing at all the stalls one at a time. There were all sorts of things on offer...some travelers from the other worlds had even brought their goods to sell, and quite a number of the stalls had inscrutable objects on them that had no descernable use!

She scanned across all the items interestedly. It was fascinating to see the different cultures represented.

She came across one stall selling various flavours of a strainge colored substance apparently called "Icecream". Back in her own world this thing didn't exist! She wondered over and glanced at the various flavours.

"What would you like miss?"

She looked up, a little startled, as the man behind the counter smiled at her. For a moment she was unsure...she didn't want to spend money on something she didn't like. Still, all the other customers seemed quite happy...

She pointed to the large tub of Mint Choc-Chip in the freezer. "I'll try that one please."

The man behind the counter nodded, picking up a scoop and a cone. He plomped three scoops into the cone, then held it out to her happily.

She picked it up and looked at it curiously. It looked strainge...just a featureless blob of...what exactly WAS it made of? She pulled out some coins and payed the man, then, mimmicing the moves of the people around her, she raised the cone to her mouth and gave the Icecream a hesitant lick.

"Yikes! It's freezing!"

The man behind the counter laughed. "Well that tends to be the idea miss...I mean it'll melt at higher tenperatures."

Vixe stared at the cone wide-eyed. What a curious invention! It did taste good, though much colder than she expected. She grinned at the stallkeeper sheepishly. "Thanks."

"No problem at all miss."

She turned and wondered off into the crowd again, absently licking the ice. The paper cone it came in was nice looking, but she would have to find somewhere to put it when...she gaped as she spotted someone else with an ice actually eating the cone happily! It was edible paper?

A large banner attracted her attention over everybody's heads: "Pie Eating Contest". What was all that about?

Ruffling the wings on her back (an automatic reaction because of the cold of the ice) she wondered over to the platform and took a station in the audience to watch...

Justin looked around at the corners of the ceiling in the room, then shook his head at Wraith with a shrug. "No cameras or anything - there are cameras elsewhere around the park to watch for people trying to get in without paying, but I guess they didn't figure on anyone wanting to bust into this machinery room. And with all the filters and everything, there might not have been a threat. Whatever this gunk was, it was specifically designed to bypass this place's filters and get into the pool system. And as for where they came in, unless they could squeeze through the filters themselves, they'd have to have come through this door...only one way in, and one way out."

He tapped his watch and made a call for the police, and explained the situation. "They'll handle the fingerprinting," explained Justin, "and maybe they'll find other clues we didn't, but whoever our crooks are they were here recently and they probably left the park in a hurry after sabotaging this system. Maybe if we check the front gate cameras, we could find video of somebody leaving, maybe find some clues there."

Wraith was stood staring down at the fingerprint on the pipe thoughtfully, his arms folded and one hand on his chin. "Yeah, that's better than nothing, although when all this stuff started out you gotta remember that lots of people were hurrying out of the park anyway. It may be difficult."

The group turned and stepped out of the room, making for the security section of the park. "If we could find out just what that purple stuff was it may help us a little too...for all we know it may be some kind of substance that only occurs on one particular planet...it'd narrow the suspects down considerably from like, the whole of this world and every other world attending the festival."

Justin grinned slightly. "Yeah, at the moment we have a bit of a broad suspect base." he muttered wryly.

Wraith turned to DB and Lokki and nodded, smiling. "I don't believe we've been introduced...I'm Wraith, nice to meet you both."

IC: DB smiled and shook Wraith's hand. "And a pleasure to meet you. Um. I guess we could have met under better circumstances but oh well."

Wraith agreed. "Yeah I guess you're right." As Wraith made his quick introduction to Lokki, DB took the moment look at the watch she had on her wrist. "Opps. How long has this been off?" It was a watch she had bought from one of the Festival's item stores. She turned the watch on and it started to glow a light green color. Then she pushed a tiny button on its side and a small holographic screen floated inches above it. On the screen the events and happenings of the Festival, and the time at which they were happening floated across the screen like a slide show. "Drat. I'm missing the pie eating contest" It was a shame, she loved to watch people stuff themselves and nearly pass out. It was funny!

DB turned the watch off. She knew there were much more important things to deal with.

***

"And the Pie Eating Contest has begun!" shouted a cheerful voice over a loud speaker. The crowd watched in awe as all kinds of people, creatures, or whom ever, began stuffing their faces with a variety of pies. And one of them had a very greedy glint in his eye.

OOC: The Pie Eating Contest is still open to anyone who wants to let there character get free eats! Oh and yeah. I think letting other people know that this RP is open for joining would be a good thing.

OOC: An automatic difficulty in allowing people to join is that this is a long RP. There is too much backstory to make it easy for anyone to join.

How much should a new person be required to read before they post?

Also, just for my involvement in the RP, I don't know if I wanna do anything with Mickey, and as for Michael, both Pachamac and myself were hoping for Torn to continue to be involved, and now I, at least, am out of ideas for the RP section. I guess if Pach is still reading this, then maybe we could talk about what we wanna do. Otherwise, I'll just wait until I get a good idea.

OOC: Since I don't think Torn's still up for this we should just proceed with the belief that maybe Torn's char either didn't join the RP or has since wandered off somewhere. Anyhoo, a little addition to the storyline.

IC:
Ash shook his head at Matildas suggestion of retreating to Kokiri Forest after the devastating display at Hyrule Market and Castle. Events were becoming very unpleasant and they didnt have much time to properly calculate and decide where to go, but in relation to Matildas suggestion, Ash automatically knew it was a bad idea.

Thats a no-go on the Kokiri Forest, at any rate. The legend that anyone who steps in there or its mysterious Lost Woods automatically transforms into a tree isnt very comforting. Im not one for gambling something like that. Ash explained his view.

Brother goro right right. Im scared of going to wicked forest! Goron City safe, we gorons strong, able to safely hold city together. Darmunio explained.

Ash frowned in hesitation, but slowly nodded as well. Maybe we could also help evacuate Kakariko Village along the way that is if it isnt already decimated by the time we get there.

Matilda sighed as her suggestion was discarded. Very well then, lets go! Matlda called out, before running in the direction of Death Mountain, where the Goron City was located upon it and at the base of the mountain was the yet unsuspecting Kakariko Village, the three of them leaving behind the trail of destruction and death of Hyrule Castle/Market.

OOC:

"How much should a new person be required to read before they post?"

Unless they want to join in the Hydrocity or Role Players' Guild plots, they could probably get away with none at all. After all, due to the nature of the RP, there's very little in the way of an overall plot, mainly it's just individual plots between small groups of characters. A new character coming in wouldn't necessarily know any of the existing characters, so in terms of OOC knowledge not interfering with realistic IC action, one could argue it's better for new players to read as little as possible - maybe just scan over the pages here to get an idea of who's where and what's going on. Then, if they want, they can gradually work their way through the backstory as they play (there're only 15 pages anyway), or just carry on knowing only what's gone on since they've joined.

BTW, I've done the new player announcement. Now I just have to write up an IC post. Give me a bit to do that.

EDIT: Here we go. I'm going to take this opportunity to try and revive some earlier subplots.

IC - Main Street Fair:
"Wait a moment, miss," the android said, addressing Joy. "I've been looking for a Mr. Edward Night. Have you happened to see him?"

Joy took an immediate interest, perhaps with the slightest hint of alarm, at the mention of Ed. She listened intently to the description given - it matched the Ed Night he knew perfectly. Whatever sinister purpose for which this sophisticated machine's (OOC Note: Other players, remember that while Joy can tell Espadrille is a robot, ordinary people can't) creator had deployed it, Ed was in some way involved.

Joy paused briefly to reflect, then replied: "Edward Night, you say? I was with him earlier in the day, but we split up and I don't know where he's gotten to since then. I'll phone him, see where he is."

The robotic woman nodded in acknowledgement as Joy pulled out a mobile phone. Selecting Ed's name from the list of contacts and pressing the call button, she put the phone to ear and listened to it ring. A few moments passed and the device rang out, an automated message informing Joy that the recipient's phone was switched off. Of course, Joy knew better than this - Ed never switched off his phone, so he must be outside the range of the phone company's transmitters: most likely, he was off-world.

"No answer," Joy said to the android - as she would have regardless of whether the call had connected - taking the phone down from her ear as she did so. "If you'd give me your name, I'll send him a text informing (or rather," she thought, "warning) him that there's someone looking for him. Might I also ask what business you have with him?"

Meanwhile, Roux had returned from stashing her portrait safely away in her home. As she made her way along Main Street, she overheard several fragments of conversation discussing some sort of major incident in Hydrocity. It seems she had been saved by her natural aversion to water.

Presently, she heard an announcement about some kind of pie-eating contest. True, she was a bit peckish, but she found something about the notion of competitive eating rather silly. Besides, she would not have stood a chance anyway, though Nuchta might have. "Come to think of it, where has Nuchta gone?" she mused.

She was about to pass by the event, when she caught a slight movement by one of the audience in the corner of her eye. Turning, she saw the movement to have come from a large set of feathery wings. Normally, this would not be an unusual sight, except that they belonged not to any kind of avian, but instead to a fox. The sight reminded her of the angels she had read about in various texts on her homeworld, except they tended to be exclusively human. Still, bizarre mutations were not uncommon where she came from, although - to her knowledge - not many people from there knew of the Mobius Forum World. However, there was only one way to find out.

She ambled into the crowd alongside the winged vulpine. "Hi," Roux greeted her casually.

OOC: I'll do something with Lokki later, but I have a driving lesson in a few minutes.

As the group got closer to the village gate, Matilda suddenly said, "Um, I'll wait for you here."

The other two looked at her, puzzled. "What are you talking about," Ash said, "we're going through not in and back out."

Matilda looked at the ground sheepishly. She muttered to herself, "I had hoped I wouldn't have to come back here..." Looking up, she said to them, "You're right, of course. Can we hurry through, then?"

OOC: No specific idea here, just making it more 'interesting'.

IC:

Pie Eating Conest:

Everyone was at their own stack of pies. Some ate with more vigor than others. Some gulped down portions of pie like they hadn't eaten in weeks while some other contestants took it slow, pacing themselves. Pies dissapeared, a contestant would raise their hand and a person in uniform would run up and refill their area of the table with more pie, then the contestant would go back into full concentration of eating them.

"This contest has only begun! Who will be the last one standing?"

The eating never slowed and the crowd cheered from the side-lines. One person in the crowd just grinned expectantly. "Go on. Keep eating." Her partner in crime had already gone through 30 whole pies in the first ten minutes. Another handful of contestants were moving at about the same clip. But how long could any of them hold out?

Pie Eating Contest

The competition carried on underway, as more and more pies were brought out to the eating contestants, and with each passing minute, another contestant would lose and drop out. Darwins law, survival of the fittest only the strong and determined kept going, the weak dropping out, throwing up a disgusting amount of vomit, others falling unconscious and accidentally falling onto the table, their head engulfed by the sticky pie.

The one half of the crime pair involved in the pie eating contest kept going at a surprising rate. Despite his small size, he was going through them with no difficulty at all, something which amazed some of the onlookers. The man had only one really intense competition from someone else who, to the crowd this time, disgusted them.

He was a large, uncouth man, someone well three times the size of a normal man, wearing an enormous sized pair of trousers, his white, dirtied shirt with stains of pie barely managing to fit over his hulking form, and the forest of chest hair was easily seen through it. His face was noticeably smaller compared to his huge chest, but it was still easily twice the size of the other, younger contestants, such as the crime boy. His lips and mouth were both large, and he easily digested a pie in one gulp. He had thick, messy black hair tied back over by a bandana, and whilst in one hand would be the constant shuffling of pies, the other was always firmly held onto a glass that had to be continually refilled with ale. In all, the mans eating habits were truly disgusting, but incredible at the same time.

Eeegyad eegyad eeegyad! This tastes soooooooo good! All you losers better drop out now because Conin the Mighty has no limit! Eeegyad eegyad eeegyad! The man shouted out, taking another whole pie down his mighty gullet at the same time, with pieces of chewed pie flying out at the same time. This only served to help make the fascinated crowd reel back in disgust and wince, but continue with their locked eyes at the amazing event before them.

Ash frowned. He didnt understand what Matildas problem here was about Kakariko Village, but they had to do something about warning the villagers of it, and thus merely being in there for a few minutes wouldnt be satisfactory enough. Theyd have to take time organising a movement, a plan, and thus passing through it just wouldnt be enough. What was the girls problem?

O-okay. Lets do it then. Ash said, willing to agree and go with whatever Matildas desires were. He didnt want to question them at this time, if she wanted to speak further about it, she would have already done so. Hed just go along it.

Darmunio led the way, eager and excited to find shelter past Kakariko Village and within his home, Goron City, nestled within Death Mountain. He raced through the remainder of Hyrule Field, up the long steps leading to what was usually a peaceful village Ash and Matilda in quick strides to catch up with him behind him.

Darmunio had gotten a good lead already though, despite the fact he was the slowest member. He reached the top of the stairs first and immediately stopped completely, shocked and at a loss for words at what was before him. Ash and Matilda finally caught up with him and came to bear witness to the same thing Darmunio saw, their reactions the exact same.

It was completely deserted. The sky was black and ominous as it had been before since the attack of the Stahlchildren, but the rest of the village was empty. The houses were in perfect condition, there were no signs of any battle or anything, it was just empty. Of course, the first reaction to that would be that the villagers would have hid in their homes obviously due to the Stahlchildren army they could have seen before and the frightening sky, but no windows or such were boarded up. They were all open, blowing wildly in what was becoming a fierce wind. It was incredibly eerie and unnerving. The fact that graveyard laid nearby in another exit from Kakariko (the others being back towards Hyrule Field, and the other their next destination; Death Mountain) was chilling. No refuge could be kept there, that was for sure, and the villagers couldnt have left through Hyrule Field due to the Stahlchildren army that would have been amassing there and charging towards Hyrule Castle/Market. Meaning the only other option was Death Mountain. Or was it?

Nobodys here. We should move on, Matilda said, eager to press on and get out of Kakariko Village, Ash nodding as well and turning in the direction to the famous mountain, Darmunio again leading the way thanks to his amassing fear and the desire for shelter and refuge in a comfortable place.

The three came to the gate that led to Death Mountain, finding it left open and abandoned. Normally it would have been kept shut and guarded by a Hylian Knight, but he was nowhere to be found. It made it seem all the more assuring then that the villagers were up Death Mountain, then.

Darmunio passed through the area of the gate, followed by Matilda, and lastly Ash who came to a complete stop after it. His body was crouched, his upper torso bending forwards slightly, his mouth curled in a small o and his eyes wide. Something was wrong, very wrong, and he felt it through his whole body, most particularly in the area of his earlier wounding.

Brother goro, whats wrong?! Darmunio shouted back, his voice filled with worry and concern.

The pain had suddenly gone, and with it Ash was more surprised then ever before. His body was breathing rapidly and ragged breathes came with it. His body was coated in sweating, and yet the pain had only been there for a few seconds at most. What was hap-

A loud crack of thunder behind them occurred, one close to them. It shocked all three of them who were mesmerised by the bright lighting of it as it flashed before their eyes. It wouldnt be totally surprising given the gloomy sky other then one thing about it. The lightning was green.

We should get to shelter quickly, brother goro! Darmunio shouted out, beginning again his running from the spot up the slope of Death Mountain towards the home of Goron City. Matilda looked to Ash with concern for him, but then turned and began following Darmunio again as Ash joined her.
------

The trek up the mountain was surprisingly quick, given the extra adrenaline boost encountered during it, and the strange absent of the tektite monsters, being who looked like insects, that normally resided there. They found shelter under a part of rock with out jutted from the rest of the mountain at the entrance, but what they were really concerned with was the entrance to Goron City before them, the place where they desired shelter.

Darmunio, even more eager and excited to enter it, raced in first, followed by the confused and bewildered Ash. Matilda followed in afterwards, racing through the entrance, when suddenly her whole body locked up in a strange twist of unexpected madness. The symptoms were the same as those Ash suffered at the passing of the gate earlier, her eyes widened, her mouth a small o, as the rest of her body feel forwards onto her knees in pain.

Eyaaaar! Matilda screamed, clutching her head. The feeling of agony seemed never-ending, it threatened to destroy her mind but in a couple of seconds, it had all vanished, and everything was returned to normal. At least, as normal as possible given the strange occurrences that happened continually. What was that?!

Matilda? Ash said, his eyes locked on her weary and desperate eyes, confusion also ringing through his as they were hers. Matilda identified a sharing that both she and Ash felt and thought the same thing as each other. They were both as confused, surprised and scared at what had just happened. Is everything-?

No! came a shout that startled both of them, and the two turned to look for where it came from. It was Darmunio, and he stood at the edge of the path which overlooked the entirety of the Goron City. Ash would have raced to him to see what was wrong, but he was currently next to Matilda, offering his hand to help pick her up.

Darmunio, whats wrong? Ash asked. Matilda was unable to speak as he breathes tried to regain its normal composure again.

All brother goros are gone! Darmunio shouted back. All! All brother goros!

Ash and Matildas eyes widened in tandem. Although the gorons weeping was filled with a lot of difficult nonsensical speaking, they could both understand what he actually meant. There were no gorons within the city it was as empty and deserted as Kakariko Village.

IC: The smallest of the Duo continued to eat greedily. But now it looked more like he was eating out of enjoyment of the food and not because this was a competition. He was really confident, eyes flickering back and forth between the remaining contestants pies and his own. The largest competitore had the most pie in front of him. In one swift movement the trouble maker took some of his pies!
Because of the fat man's greed, he was up upon the little theif in almost no time at all. The smaller form leapt up on the table, laughed, and jumped away from the huge gluton's huge fists. The huge man swung again. The people in the crowd looked on, shocked. One member of the crowd started laughing as her companion sucked in a quick intake of air and then laid out a huge disgusting belch. One so big that the huge man flew backwards and into the pie eating table, breaking it in half.

Vixie was staring at the rather grotesque specticle of the contest in absolute horror, her ice fogotten in her hand. Only when it began to melt and dribble onto her paw did she remember she still had it.

She looked down at it slowly. After the sights of the competition she wasn't hungry any more.

Suddenly a voice spoke alongside her, making her jump! "Hi." As she jumped, her hand jerked, and the mint-choc-chip ice dropped to the floor.

"Oh...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." said the newcomer, staring at the green blob on the pavement. Vixie smiled and shook her head.

"It's okay." she replied, and jerked a thumb towards the stage. "After that I couldn't have eaten it anyway." she muttered, grimacing.

IC: The table broke in half and most of the pies still on the table, half consumed or yet to be touched, flew across the air and into the crowds. Hitting some of the people head on. They screamed, some laughed. But all of them moved away from the fight that had now started between the huge glutton pie eater, and the smaller swifter pie eater who was now giggling his head off.

HydroCity changing rooms

"Finally, they've all gone."

Mickey had not moved from the changing stall the entire time he could hear people outside. Now that it was obvious he was alone, the pounding fear he had been experiencing was fading. He stepped out into the hall, and began to walk to the exit. Now that his mind was no longer occupied with holding down his panic, he was able to think of why that had happened.

"It could have something to do with the connection I have to Michael. Maybe that was his fear I was feeling. But why would it soak through to me? Well, it seems to be gone now, so maybe I should find him and ask him if he knows what's up."

Mickey made his way to the gate to exit HydroCity. He shook his head at the sight of the purple goo. He felt like he should've been able to do more to help. With no clear destination in mind, he beganto wander.

RP Guild

Matilda looked around in awe. This was unusual. Well, many things were unusual here, but lately, more and more crazy things continued to happen. What had been that sudden shock of pain? Of distortion? Was it the same thing that had happened to Ash?

Matilda looked at Darmunio again. She crossed her arms and looked away. He couldn't have been a player, unless he was a really dramatic and emotional person. She wasn't one who had a knack for consoling people in trouble, so she left that part to Ash, if he chose to do anything.

Still, she was glad that she hadn't been seen by any of the Black Market people. The last deal she had with them at Kakariko had gone badly, and they wanted her head. But everyone gone? This was unusual.

Matilda tried to go back to being Michael for a moment, to check if there was any OOC information she had missed, but an almost physical barrier prevented that from happening. Casting an odd glance at Ash, she sighed. "This is wrong. I never thought this could happen...so much is gone. This entire situation is wrong. People gone, monsters gone, sudden bouts of pain - Ash, where do we go from here? Are we - are we going to be the next to dissappear?"

Fear was in her voice, and a pleading in her eyes. No Black Market, no monsters, no people...the storm above rumbled ominously, augmenting the mood.

Ash grimaced at first, and then tried to get his head around at what had happened and what would happen as well, especially after Matildas voice of concern. This RP was wrong on so many levels, that shock of pain he had felt, and what he had assumed Matilda had felt as well was so wrong and real. No RP he had experienced before was alike this, especially that moment when he died.

He had tried several times to go to IC and check out for any information but was seemingly barred from doing so. Although it was possible that it was a limitation personally set by the Game Master, it was doubtful because of several implications it would have so something more seemed wrong then that. As such, although Ash pretty much guessed that Matilda was a Player Character, he couldnt OOC to her either, meaning if he was going to ask her anything about the whole RP itself it would have to be in IC. But, thatd be breaking a rule in itself in a way and wasnt correct to do. As such, it was best to just go with the flow and the game, but he would always continue to check for the ability to OOC as well as keep a weary eye on other strange implications the RP would be having.

Well, during the seven year gap between playing as Young Link and Adult Link, several things happened within the world of Hyrule, mainly for the worse. In Zoros domain, the once aquatic environment was turned completely to ice and everything was frozen. Hyrule Market was devastated, and the remaining survivors fled to Kakariko Village, which is strange as the whole village is now deserted. But at any rate, Kakariko Village is eventually destroyed thanks to the strange shadow monster underneath the well. And as for Death Mountain and Goron City, all of the Gorons were either imprisoned or Ashs thoughts stopped dead in their tracks as he realized an important fact concerning the very place they were in and why exactly there was nobody left.

In the game, during the seven year gap between destruction of Hyrule Castle, and the reawakening of the Hero of Time, Death Mountain and Goron City found itself in a plague of its own. A legendary dragon that once slept deep within the volcanic mountain had stirred and awakened, imprisoning and feasting upon the Goron inhabitants. Its name was Volvagia.

Although it made sense for the Gorons to have thus disappeared, some things still didnt make as much sense. One, in the game there was one lone surviving goron, who would continue to roll along one length of the subterranean city until stopped by the player, the Hero of Time; Link. Two, even if the Gorons were to have been captured, it couldnt have possibly happened so quickly, and even so there would have been some resistance.

And yet there werent. It was a confounding dilemma.

What do we do, brother goro?! Darmunio howled.

Search? Ash replied, at a loss to what they should actually do. The RP in itself was overwhelming, but added with the other, more suspicious occurrences

THOOM

A large booming sound shot out from behind them all, surprising them and making all three of them jump back and look behind them, towards the entrance to Goron City.

THOOM

what is that? Matilda called out.

Ash frowned, trying to understand what it was as well. Im not

Move! Darmunio called out from behind them, diving out of the way. Following suit, both Ash and Matilda also rolled out of the way just as a thick stream of fire poured through the gap of the entrance in a straight line, engulfing the spot the group were at seconds ago.

As the fire ended it left small burning aspects on the ground. The three slowly recoiled and picked themselves up in confusion and alarm at what the attack was, as again a loud THOOM thundered throughout.

Volvagia, the dragon? Ash thought to himself as he frowned, seeing it as the only possible source of the fire, however, a second later, his thoughts were finally answered.

The caving across the entrance to Goron City was torn apart and smashed as a large hulking figure made its violent way into the city, its footsteps shaking the ground and giving off the large booming sounds. The creature stood on four legs, a long, giant lizard shaped form, its tail slowly sweeping behind it as it finally entered the mountainous city. All three of the group took uneasy, hesitant steps backwards as the lizard came closer towards them, before it finally stopped and tilted its head upwards, releasing a violent and deafening roar.

Do-dodongo! Darmunio stuttered at the appearance of the lizard. For ages, the Gorons and Dodongos had been at war ever since the vicious lizards had taken control of the cave at the base of the Death Mountain which stored the Gorons sacred food supply, Flower Bombs. Usually, in the game, the Dodongos should have been defeated by now thanks to the action of the Hero of Time in his child state, but it appeared that at least one of them survived. And this survivor was huge!

Its tail is its weak point! Ash called out, alerting everyone and trying to change this intimidating scene into something more positive, trying to infill the rest of the group with a bit of more sense of ability in victory. Just be careful of its fire breath and the fact it can quickly turn around!

Bomb flowers are also handy! Darmunio shouted, feeling a bit more able after his initial shock. He was right of course, the sacred food that the Gorons ate were dangerous to Dodongos as much as they were to normal people. After they were picked they acted just like normal bombs except the timer would start ticking automatically and they couldnt be stored. The only way though that a Bomb Flower could truly hurt a Dodongo though was when the giant lizard opened its mouth, otherwise its powerful armoured hide would reflect any and all pain.

Bomb flowers grew around the city at various points of stairway entrances, but unfortunately, for a normal person like Matilda and Ash, only someone strong or with a Power Bracelet could pick it up, so it was down to Darmunio to do that job. But regardless, it was still handy info.

Any specific plan? Matilda asked, as the Dodongo walked closer towards its backing prey.

Yes. If you have any magic left to spare, do you think you could summon up a holding spell or something along those lines to keep him from moving? If you could do that, Matilda, I can race around to the back of him and slash his tail. Ash said.

Brother goro, Sister goro! Darmunio interjected. A better time to freeze him would be when hes about to breathe out a fireball goro, because itd give me more time to throw a Bomb Flower in him, goro!

It was a good solid plan. Perhaps a combination would be more successful.

Ash just hoped Matilda could do that

Matilda braced herself for action. "Then let's do this! I'll distract it, while Darmunio gets a bomb and Ash goes around it!"

She drew her daggers, and got the Dodongo's attention by throwing one of them at the beast. The blade bounced off of it's thick hide, but it had the desired effect. Matlida kept close to it, dodging out of the way at the last moment and hitting it when she could, though with no effect but to make it angry!

While the others moved, Matilda couldn't help but think about her part. "I used all my magic back at the castle town, and haven't had a chance to replenish it. Being a necromantic mage has special powers that don't use magic, but come at a different price...but if we hope to survive, I'll have to pay it. Just gotta wait for the opening...THERE!"

The Dodongo breathed out a burst of flame, and Matilda dodged it. Just as the flame ended, but before the Dodongo could close it's mouth, she began chanting rapidly, focusing all her will onto this one task! As the magic energy flowed around her, a blue aura surrounded her, and she was suddenly being levitated above the ground! The effect her magic had on the Dodongo was immediate: blue magic and what looked like bones swirled around the beast, and it was unable to move! Its tail was vulnerable, as it couldn't swing it in self-defense, and its mouth was still open.

As Ash and Darmunio moved into their part, they didn't see the price Matilda was paying: the flesh of her arms was beginning to melt away, leaving nothing but bone!

It didn't take long for Justin to explain the situation at the front office of Hydro City, and soon Justin, Wraith, Lokki and DB found themselves inside the main camera room, which featured all of the different cameras set up around the entrances to the amusement park.

"Now we can get a bead on who our culprits are," Justin said with a smirk as he started up the line of monitors.

"But how? There were so many people coming in and out during the incident that it'd be impossible to pick anyone out," pointed out Wraith. "Thought we'd already gone over that."

"True, but I just thought of something that might affect this...there, see around this time."

Everyone looked at the monitors at the time they were displaying. "That's a few minutes before the goo got released," said DB.

"Exactly," said Justin. "Now look at who all is going out around this time..."

After a minute, Lokki blinked and looked critically at each monitor. "There doth not appear to be anyone actually leaving the park."

"It's a free day for anyone to come to the park and swim," said Justin. "Of course nobody except maybe one or two who would actually leave before the day was done, what with all work and school being cancelled and the park being open to the public."

"So, you think that the crooks left before the goo set into the system?" asked Wraith, his arms crossed in front of himself.

"Yup. Here it is, a minute right before the goo goes off..."

And there, as they watched, were two individuals who crept out of the park against the almost steady stream of incoming park-goers. Justin pointed at them as he froze the picture. "There...if the police come up with the analysis I think they'll get, then the goo activated within a few minutes of being introduced to the water supply. That means the crooks had to leave fairly soon after they'd dropped the stuff in, and I'd say these two are our best bet to start tracking."

IC: Ambika urged her brother on as he ducked and weaved on the stage, dodging the attacks of the huge man still furious over loosing one simple pie. "Get him Hermon, show him who's the best pie eater." Hermon was still enjoying himself as he dodged, ran around, over, and under the huge man. Hermon grabed a slice of pie and threw it into his attackers face. The pie blinded the big guy and he stopped to try and wipe his face clean. Those few seconds was all the time Hermon needed.

Instantly Hermon's sharp set of teeth grew longer, his jaw contorted and stretched. And soon followed the rest of his body. In a short while he was roughly over 3 times the size of the man who had towered over him when they were both eating pie. The crowed was already screaming and running away before Hermon even finished growing. The glutton looked up and screamed as well. He tried to run but a broken table got in his way.

Hermon growled behind him and opened his mouth wide...

*GULP!*

Ambika was the only soul still standing still with all of the crowd still buzzing around her in terror. She called out to her brother. "Don't eat him!" Hermon gave her a sad look and promply shrunk down to his normal size and went back to his sister. "Fine but I still put him away."

"You'll have to throw him back up...disgusting. Why would you want to eat him?"

Hermon shurgged. "He looked like he could last me for days!" Ambika sighed "You'll eat hard gum off the sidewalk if I weren't watching you!....come on!" And with that the duo left the area in the midst of panic.

Ash swiftly appeared behind the Dodongos large, hulking body towards the armoured lizards green tail. He automatically went to work and began slashing at the tail with his spear, his arms creating various movements within the attacks, spinning and coming down in swift arcs that began to hack away at the weak area. If the Dodongo was still able to move, it would now been howling with rage.

Neither Ash or Darmunio had noticed the condition that was afflicting Matilda, though. Matildas body was overwhelmed by a bright blue aura around her, and thus actually seeing her body with clarity was difficult. Even then, the two were more concentrated on the immediate task ahead of them, that was, defeating the Dodongo quickly, before Matildas magic ran out completely.

Darmunio had finally came back at them after running to pick up the supplies of Bomb Flowers grown across the Goron City. He was carrying a huge supply in both of his arms it wasnt clear how many exactly, although one would have gone to given a guess at around ten!

You lizards deserve to pay for this, goro! Darmunio shouted out, and with that launched his arms to a long arcing curve, releasing the numbers of Bomb Flowers as they all went inside the Dodongos giant mouth, and down into its belly.

Fire in the hole, goro! Darmunio called out again, before turning around and running away from the area, trying to seek cover. Ash as well heard the call, and began running away from the back of the Dodongo and around to Matilda, where he grabbed her and broke the magical concentration she had been amplifying. He grabbed her by her shoulders, and lifted her out of the way slightly as he too tried to follow Darmunio to protection.

The Dodongo returned to its normal activities, the frozen spell upon it having dissipated. Its mouth closed, and just as it took another step forward, a giant explosion rung out from within the Dodongo, imploding it and sending its body matter flying every which way, to come to a land across the floor, walls and ceiling.

The three had managed to avoid it by taking cover around a corner, and were thankful to see they were not covered with any of the Dodongos vitals. We did it, brother goros! Darmunio called.

Matilda was silent. Ash looked to her, and then suddenly noticed her arms. His eyes and mouth widened in surprise, before he looked up to her face. Matilda how?!
