Story:

The year is 1726CC, and the world is in chaos. Utter chaos. Like the world hadn't had enough trouble throughout the centuries with other nations, native creatures, and plauges this had to happen in the early 14th century - when the continent of Bazgoul connected with the human continent of Tsaronia. Tsaronia and Bazgoul were two different continents.
For years the two continents were seperate and never connected making the humans of Tsaronia live in some peace and less chaos. Before the 14th century they had towns slowly building up and armies not really harboring enemies.
But then Bazgoul messed that up.

Bazgoul was a continent of a new variety of races. And with the contenents touching barely on their West-East edges..... some of those new races migrated. The first was the Werewolf. Hunters by night, sleepers by day. Unlike werewolves from Myth however they are not men.
The bite of the Werewolf seeps into the victims veins and formulates a slow but deadly toxin that drives the man or creature mad. The victim starts to halicinate that he is a wolf and goes rapid. Until the night of three weeks after the bite. This is where the toxin kills the victim.
There is no known antidote.

Another race that fled to the human country was the Sozours. Sozours are desert bound creatures as large as 9'6" to 11'1" they carry large clubs and feast on fire and heat. It attracts them. More common in deserts, though.
One very popular mythic creature also came over - the Dresventau, or Vampre. Dresventau is Islander for Blood-Sucker. Vampires came but were rare - they occasionally stayed at their castles - but they desired food and human was a better meal for their tastes. Their are six castles of six counts that live today.
Moving on, there is creatures such as goblins - trolls - and gremlins that migrated.

In the 15th Century the continenets spread apart by four kilo-meters.

King Allon the Seventh declared war on the creatures and eventually it was a decent survival from the cretin. But the world was in ruin and it took 700 years before King Timothery the Second implemented a wall, a defense barrier to the east. He called it the Golden Wall of Saramius - the god of all of the Saramian and Catholic Religions. It was a barrier from the demons. This would be one strike.

Demonspawn, imps, and the undead began to appear in the other continent. Which was connected to the Tsaronia once more by a large concrete and marble bridge.
And then the Islanders to the south mysteriousily dissappeared and every ship that went near the islands to the south - sunk. THe islands were renamed the Islands of Echoes.
Echoes of Lost Souls could be heard for miles. The undead are rumoured to live there now.

Skip ahead to our current year, the same year King Alandaris declared a Crusade. He declared all creatures on the continent of Bazgoul... demon. The leigon loses leigonarres every day fighting who knows what. And the funny thing is, I'm out here trying to make sure these 'demons' don't get to my land.

My name is Lauren Firth, I am one of a party of a few. A party of the lost travellers in this demon continent, a savior, and a protector. Bah. I'm just a huntress trying to make bay. So I think with my Crossbow r80 on my back, and my long saber at my side..... is it worth it?

You bet it is? Its either them or me, and its not going to be me.

OOC:
Welcome to the World of NEMISES: Origins
--------------------------------------------------
First off here is the tech explanation.

In this year on this planet of Vaeredin. In which this all takes place there is a thing about technology. Listen up!

o Our Ranged Weapons are limited to throwing weapons, and Crossbows that are not truly medieval. What I mean by this is.... think Automatic, and some are one handed. Some like Lauren's is meant for sniping. Etcetera.

o The majority of transportation is limited in the Wilderness/Bagzoul. Horses, Camels, and such.

- But on the main continent.....its a different story. The addition of trains and motorirized carriages are limited but they're there -- we may run into thsoe later.

o Most of the melee weapons are anything you can think of thats medieval - though the idea of Saber (Swords with handles and grips) are the most popular weapon of thsi time era.

And some Guidelines:

o Please this may have fantasy elements, but this has limits. No super speed, strength or anything. We know rules.

o Only be human, and no magic.

o The setting is Medieval to Van Helising-ish style.

o Questions can be PMed

Just describe your character in your post, I'll just use Lauren for now. And yeah this is a human RP, not a furry -- thought I'd try this out here.

Oh and another thing. NO MAGIC, and only be HUMAN.

PM me with questions, I will intro now.

The gazing of the horizon flew back to me, and I smiled. The horizon meant many things. It meant night-time. The most dangerous time in the wilderness as most called our neighboring continent. I smirked lightly, again.
With my pale blue eyes gazing upon the fading sun and watching and anticpating the two moons. The red one, its name was Lust.
The pale blue one, its name was Sorrow. The two moons showed emotion of the wilderness. The two illuminary lights reflecting remorse for the place. I blinked as I grabbed my saber from the ground of my place from the surface behind the great wall which protected or.... attempted to protect us from the evils of the east.
The demons, the vampires, the ghouls, the undead....all of them.
The human race it seems we are aganist....agansit all odds. I mean if you think about it - they're more of them and one of them could easily take out one of us.
But unlike me, on my journeys to the wild I have had luck at my side. Not bitten by a wolf, not bit by a vampire lord, not attacked by the undead..... or slain by a ghoul. I've been lucky.
Lucky me, bad for them.
I smirk as I grab my horse and ride him slowly towards the large wood, iron, and steel gates - two guards armed with heavy armour and halberds ask me if I truly wish to risk my life. I respond, "Hell yeah."
They blink, my fair attractiveness to them makes them ask again. I tell to to jsut open the damn gate. Rolling my eyes I sigh, as they relunctantly open it - first wood, then iron, then steel, then another iron then another wood once again.
I begin to think. Some of these creatures have the strength beyond reinforced steel and some can fly. Are the gates even nessicary?
I shrug.
I speed off as the gates close tightly behind me as I begin to ride across the long...long one kilometer bridge. I also ponder, how'd they build this damn thing, and its made of marble and concrete too. I laugh to myself for a momment before I keep moving.

I find myself soon after a long trip over the bridge on the land of the 'wild'. I wince as I look at it. The land that connected to the bridge is surrounded by forest - and a ruined watch tower made of stone.
Barely standing. I see a collapsed catapult on the top of the tower and smirk lightly. "Abandoned weapon of seige in a foreign land......that means humans once lived here." I close my eyes for a second. imagining the death of third world nations on this continent years gone hitting history books and dust of ancient libaries archives.
I take a quick breath as I walk foward, my horse raises his feet - which suprising me I scream and fall to the ground before the horse scampers away.
I blink for a momment or three and catch my breath.
"What the hell scared him?" I moan as I place my hand to my forehead. I'm not bleeding. "Thank goodness." I say as I regain my compusure and stand. I groan as I look on, into the forest. I enter after a few minutes, hand on my sheath if needed.

2 Hours Later.....

"DIE!" I shout with fury as I begin to hate myself for entering this forest. I have seen seventeen zombies already and have seen multiple old gravestones with no names on them in this forest of the mist. Yes, mist. Because thats what had appeared 1 hour ago. My saber is drenching zombie blood.
I am not no fool, I know Zombies die only one way. Head removal, that is. And I'm lucky my rusty skills with this saber have not made me find myself ala screwed or even worse - a zombie. I am glad, but I wish I had my horse - I could of gotten halfway through this forest by now. And with this msit I couldn't tell north from south. I groan.
"Miss Master of Direction is Lost?" I snarled to myself as another zombie jumped at me. "EYAH!"

SLICE

SLICE

SLICE

The zombie falls to the ground, blood soaking the wet ground. I pant lightly, the zombies moldy green skin and black hair made me look at it. Torn clothes, mutilated skin, eyes had no pupils. But they had eyes. Bottom jaw was missing, smelt like fried horse @#%$.

I sigh as I kick the corpse, and keep my guard. I was stuck in this forest - I better try to survive.

I moved on.....

(OOC: Sounds...interesting.)

IC:

The sun was high overhead, birds chirping merrily as I gently guided my horse toward a spring for a drink of water. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, nor a drop of rain to spoil my day. Pleasure-riding, that's my idea of fun.

I stopped as my horse bent down to drink from the tiny spring, lifting my upper lip in a disgusted manner. I jumped out of the saddle and glanced around the small clearing, squinting. With a sigh, I swore at the thick mist as it floated around me. Feh. So much for my lovely fantasy. The mist was so thick, you couldn't see the bloody sun! And birds? Psh, there were no birds! Leastways, not where I'm concerned. Me. Demona Kellerman.

With a groan, I heaved my sword up out of its sheathe, poised and ready for action. Just as I had expected, two zombies lunged blindly at me and my horse. He made no sound, but backed up a considerable distance as I beheaded the foul creatures. I smirked, gripping my now bloody sword, glad that I had asked for the calmest horse possible.

"There ya go old boy...Good job." I patted his dappled, muscular neck.

Kayzeir's m'name. Getting scared out of my skin is my game.
I hate living in this world. I'm no brave gal- I just do what I have to do.

There's plenty of Vampire- Hunters out there that get a thrill for these things. Not me.

I wandered through the dark dank woods as night closed in, clutching my crucifix to my chest. Rain started pelting down on my brown skin and dampened my hair.
I had to wipe my wet fringe out of my eyes quickly as to not get my hands too occupied during the watch.

I felt a chill up my spine. A strong force pushed me in the mud. I groaned and leaped up as fast as I could.

"Werewolves?!" I gasped.

((Lets try to keep this RP alivesorry for the delay))

I was too preoccupied to focus on anything besides me and my saber. The creeping moans of the zombies filled the area, my scent. They had picked it up and they were massing into groups to hunt me relentlessly until they could feed off my corpse. "Damn forest." I mutter as I keep my blade steady. I may not be a crack with the blade but I can take down a few zombies. Theyre cold lifeless bodies will fall decapacitated from my blade - which mind you was already dripping their blood. Which in turn got my scent of my position stronger making my location clear to the undead bastards.

My feet slowly flail backwards as my eyes narrow, I know they are coming. I can hear them, rather smell then hear for the matter. As their moans are soft and faint while their corpses could be smelled for miles. But being there so many of them -- I couldn't pick out a specific direction.
I grit my teeth as I see some come for me, as they approach I attack.

SLASH!

SWIPE!

SLICE!

Another few lucky zombies fall headless to the ground, my aim is lucky today I'd like to think. But I can still hear and smell the others of their race. My foots flail backwards once again as my back touches something...... Another back, Im sure and it is warm so I can assume it is another human and I close my eyes. But only for a moment. I hope the human behind me can work with me on this defense. The human behind me also muttered something about werewolves. Personally Im glad we arent in Werewolf territory.but zombies were pretty bad themselves.

I prepare my sword.
