1. You may play any original character from the Inuyasha anime/manga. Or you may involve an original character that fits well into the storyline.

2. Watch your grammer, you want to be able to have other players understand just what it is your character is doing or saying. Spend a little time with your replies.

3. Be civil to other players. (This is the rule most often broken.)

4. DO NOT POWERPLAY: A character cannot be 'immortal', that is, he/she is far more powerful than any other character in the roleplay. If a character is invulnerable, or has super powers that could make Naraku or Sesshomaru cower and beg for mercy, than you know you just might be doing something wrong. But if you must insist upon this, then restrict the character's powers. Please?

5. Keep physical and verbal vulgarity to a minimum. Physical vugarity= Sex-related or anything pertaining to it: Example- Something you might see in Happousai or Master Roshi's magazines. Verbal vulgarity= Cursing or swearing: If you have looked over the forum rules then you know the policies regarding it. That policy holds true in this rp as well. Respect it. (Basically, if you wouldn't show it to your grandmother, then don't write it.)

6. Final rule: Enjoy it, and allow others to do the same.

Character I have chosen: AU Kikyou, and if no one takes her, Canon Kikyou as well.

RP Genre: Fantasy/Alternate Universe.

Okay, a few brief cliff-notes before we begin. *Clears her throat.* Eh-hem... The first part of this passage takes place in another timeline that stems off from Takahashi-sama's original. (Thus comes the token 'Alternate Universe RPG'. :** )

If the 'last' part of this passage confuses you to any degree, let me just state now that there is dimensional travelling involved, dimensional travelling that takes the character into the original Inuyasha timeline.

Lastly, I play an AU Kikyou, from a different world, so *bows and hangs her head.* excuse some of the OOC qualities in her. Oh, and even though Inu-chan has been played in this passage, it is AU Inuyasha, that means that Orig. Inu-chan has NOT been played yet. *Sighs.*

Her armor clanked heavily against her legs as she trudged through the mud rendered earth. Unstable, labored breath materialized in billowing clouds of steam as bloodied saliva dripped from her open jaws to the ground. Hunger and pain tore through her very soul, causing her to cry out every now and then, only to be answered by soft whimpers emanating from the bundle clutched to her bosom.

Suddenly, her ears perked slightly, making her pause in mid-stride. Her keen hearing had caught the vague sounds of footsteps coming from somewhere a short distance behind her... This elicited a shock of fear to rise in her heart, a fear that made her legs starts moving again, a fear that made her move faster, a fear that made her 'run'. Crashing through the brush as her footfalls become a steady beat, like a metronome.

Pain tore through her shins with every step. Her heels stung where they'd cracked open sometime earlier... and her whole body immediately started to protest the new tax demanded of its muscles which really had nothing left to give.

But she didn't care; fear had finally overtaken her, driven her to the brink of madness... The sound of her own heartbeat pounded in her skull; she could feel her blood sing through her veins The inherent fear of her own death, non-existent; the life of the child in her arms warrant enough to risk anything.

She knew not where her feet were taking her, knowing only that she had to get away, had to escape Branches chinked and scraped against her loose armor plates and saliva now foamed at her lips, soon detached and whipped into the wind. Her lungs burned with the need for air, her sides becoming severely cramped as unnatural heat, born of exhaustion washed down the length of her body. Hope was slowly, but surely fleeing her with every step she took and the profound beginnings of resignation became apparent at the forefront of her mind.

But then, a sort of miracle happened The sound of the footsteps behind her softened until they were no longer audible... She eased her pace somewhat, looking warily over her shoulder though too tired to ponder on the situation for long.

Eventually, she came to a clearing, a clearing where she could vaguely catch the aromas of food carried on the breeze, along with another, distinctly familiar smell... humans. Sudden hope surged into her heart and she staggered forward... Full with the intent of dragging herself to the mercy of the villagers... Surely they could not forsake a child of their own blood!

It was not to be.

A white-hot beam of energy seared through the air, slamming into her side with such force that her body twisted once before she landed face first into the dirt. Confusion welled up inside her... How... why... who...?

"Fool," The sound of muffled hoof beats resounded in her ears, though she barely acknowledged it. It was the voice that had garnered her attention Even through her adrenaline-clouded haze, she could immediately make out and recognize the smirk inherent in its undertones.

"Did you really think you could get away Kikyou?" He drawled.

"I... Inuyasha..." She gasped, blood dribbling down her chin as she fought to lift her head.

"Now, I will take back my child, and my jewel... if you cooperate I may choose to let you die quickly," He growled out.

His words cut into her heart More pain She thought miserably. Tears, hot and burning, stung her eyes, and found herself weeping, hiccupping roughly in frustration and hurt. Her nails dug into the earth, rending the soil loose as she buried her face into the grass. "Damn you..." From the corner of her eye she could just make him out, standing astride a youkai mount at the forefront of a horde of demons His eyes a maniacal shade of crimson.

His reply came back as a slur... her senses were finally fleeing her. She was be helpless to do anything... The child would be taken back into the ranks of these heathenish dogs She would lust for blood just as they would, and her heart would become defiled, just as theirs' had... ultimately, she would become a Youkai to surpass all others... perhaps even her own sire. She would be her fathers default successor.

Kikyous blood ran cold.

"No... no, no...You monster As long as I still breathe She choked out, a mixture of dirt and spittle flying from her lips. YOU WILL NEVER TAKE HER!!!"

A wish born of desperateness infused itself in her soul, and the jewel hanging on her neck began to glow its light intensifying with every word, every thought, every breath the woman took until finally a bright flash of light engulfed her being, assimilating into her blood, seeping into the earth... and blinding the Youkai before her.

"KIKYOU!!!" He roared angrily, unsheathing his sword.

But she was gone... in her place... a seared patch of earth.

A young woman lays crumpled and bleeding beside the Bone-Eater's Well...
