She was running, the terreign was hilly and littered with strange metallic objects. It was dark all around her all except for dim light that lite her path. She fell into the debris feeling something cold grasping her ankle. A hard metallic hand clutched onto her as she tried to kick it off with her other foot. She watched in horror as the body it was connected to rose from the debris. A giant metal monster with glowing red eyes held her by the foot. She tried to break free but it was futile as it opened it's giantic mouth and threw her in. Screaming faded as she was enveloped in darkness...
The vixen's eyes shot open as her tense body sprang up looking for the enemy that had been in her nightmare. Eyes rapidly searching the area. But there was nothing of the sort where she was now. Green shrubs and trees littered her vision. Her breath came in short rapid gasps and became slower as she calmed. She finally realized that it had been nothing more than a dream. That she was safe... but there was only one problem. Where was she? She didn't know this area. She didn't think she had ever been in this place ever before in her life. And more so, she didn't know exactly how she had gotten there. Her brown fur was drenched from the pouring rain that fell from above. Darker brown headfur hung in her face almost hiding the orangish brown around her eyes. Her muzzle, chest, tail tip, and paws were white but it was hard to figure because she was covered with mud. She felt like she had been asleep for a long time and forgotten things that she shouldn't have. Who exactly was she anyway? She couldn't remember that either. The sweet numb she felt was slowly going away and she could feel her body ache. She was disoriented and cold. Things were slowly becoming clearer and she wandered into the forest to find shelter from the relentless rain. She tripped as her foot caught something landing hard on the soggy ground. For a moment she just lay there allowing the pain to subside before she looked over her shoulder to what she tripped over. She slowly got up to look at it fully. It looked like a leg, but it was black metal. Wires hung from the theigh to where it used to be connected to a robotic torso. She looked around finding parts and components lying everywhere. Some looked as though they had been blown apart. Others looked as though they had been cut clean though. A battle had taken place here... It had been recent. Oil still leaked from the parts that had been cut. It was slightly frightening considering the situation. Her instincts told her that she should distance herself between this place her. If there were more lerking around she didn't want to have to deal with them.
She walked for no more than 10 feet before a rustling in the bushes to her left caught her attention. "Subject Keyna sighted." came a droned robotic voice. "Preparing to apprehend!" A robot burst though the brush at her. Her body seemed to move on it's own accord as she moved fluidly around the robot. She moved forward behind the robot climbed onto his back pulling her arm back and then forward penitrating the metal armor head grabbing hold of his computer brain and ripping it out. Finishing by jumping off and landing on the wet ground before the robot itself went down. She looked down at her hand the computer still clutched in her grasp. Metal claws sunk into its' circuitry. Her hand relaxed and the claws retracted. She threw the cpu down and backed away not fully comprehending what she had just done. It scared her that she didnt' even know her own abilities. Scared and wet she couldn't stay there. She moved quickly as she could to get away from the battle ground. The rain lightened and the sun even peaked out a few times, but it remained cloudy. She found a hiding spot a few miles away. A small cave on the side of a hill. It looked like it had been dug out of the rock by someone, it didn't look like it had originally been that big. It was only big enough for a few mobians to fit in though but at the moment it was only herself. It was a place where she could dry off and collect herself. There had been some dry wood stored in it. This place looked like it was a safehouse. She took full advantage of it and built herself a fire so that she could warm up. Looking down at her paws again she flexed showing herself these metal claws. These weren't natural right? No living thing could have metalic claws that could slice and dice up armored robots that quickly. And how did she even know how to take out that robot anyway. Nothing made sense! Why couldn't she remember anything up until just a little while ago.
That robot had called her something. Subject Keyna... was that her name? Keyna... She thought about it over and over again. But it didn't stir anything in her mind. Well since she couldn't remember her name this one would have to suffice for now. A gurgling noise broke her reverie. She had been so wrapped up in her thoughts that she hadn't thought about anything else. Her body demanded that she eat something. Keyna found that she couldn't argue the hunger pains and stood up to see if there was any food stored in this place as well. Near the back she found a box that contained a few things. Medical supplies, a combat knife, blankets, some fishing equiptment, and other things. She did find some dried meat, although it was so dry it could have been mistaken for bark. It would work for now. She didn't really feel up to the task of going out and trying to hunt for food. Grabbing them and a blanket Keyna sat down next to the fire, wrapping the blanket around herself and munching on the jerky. Her amber eyes gazed into the flames as if nothing else in the world exsisted now.
Beams of sunlight fell onto her eyes as she opened them up. She was lying next to the fire which was not just smoldering embers. She must have dozed off last night. She threw the blanket off of her and sat up. She racked her hand threw her headfur trying to wake up. She got up, shaking off the blanket she folded it up and put it away. Keyna drug through the box again finding a leather belt. She put it around her waist and secured it. She found a cloak on a shelf and wrapped it around her. Keyna had to get going and she knew she had stayed there longer than she had wanted to. She didn't know if she was being tracked by these robots who had it out for her. The reason why they were after her was a mystery to her as well. She walked aimlessly for what seemed like hours. Silently listening to the surrounding area but not seemingly paying attention to where she was going. It was a cool day so the cloak kept the chill away but to anyone else her presence would seem suspicious. Her ear twitched... There was something out there, no quite a few somethings.
A group was following her. She stopped looking around her spotting three hiding in the trees, and four more on the ground. Keyna sighed they had surrounded her. Noticing that they had been spotted they started coming out of the woodwork. Mobians, armed to the teeth with gear and weapons. A wolf, the leader apparantly, stepped forward. "You... put your hands up. There's nowhere for you to run..." She looked around examining each of them.
"Who are you?" She asked not moving.
"That's none of your concern, girly. You're coming with us." The cocky wolf said.
"I'm not going anywhere with you..." The first one a raccoon ran at her with a metal club. She moved sideways and he swung at empty air. The next contender was a dog, he came at her with knife. She dodged twirling on the ball of her foot lifting her leg up over his hunched from. With all her might she brought the heel of her foot down on the back of his skull. A third grabbed her arm, she turned and thrust her fist into the and threw him into two others. A Cat came at her with a sword. She jumped back avoiding the blade. She ducked causing the blade to sink into the back of a tree and become stuck. The cat tried to get it free but to no avail. Keyna pushed herself back up uppercutting the cat in the jaw. She jumped forward at the raccoon pushing him aside going after the leader. He had something in his hand and shot it at her. She felt the prick of something peirceing her shoulder. The following surge of electric current through her body stopped her. Keyna shook her head looking up at the grinning wolf.
"I thought that would shut you up for a minute. Now be a good girl and stay put." he said. Course she didn't she tried to go at him again. He pressed the button once more sending the electricity through her body. She screamed falling to her knees. "Now will you go peacefully." She shot a glare at him grabbing the device which in turn shocked her, ripped it out of her shoulder. Jumped up and ran at the wolf. The wolf fumbled to grab his gun. Key swipped her claws across it cutting it into pieces. Finishing by punching him across the face a couple times till he went down. She glared down at the wolf kneeling down grabbing him by the collar and pulling him up.
"Who sent you after me?!" she growled. The wolf coughed and groaned. "WHO SENT YOU!!??" She yelled grabbing the other side of his collar with her other free hand and shaking him.
"My team has been employed by Lord Robotnik, he hired us to bring you back to Robotropolis." Keyna dropped him and stood up staight again. So... this team of rough necks were bounty hunters sent by this Robotnik character to bring her back to his city. But something inside her told her that, that place, was the reason why she couldn't remember anything before she woke up at the edge of the forest. It was like a warning bell was going off in her brain. She couldn't go back to that place no matter what.
"Don't follow me again... If you do there will be consciquences..." Keyna turned and ran off into the forest leaving her persuers to lay there in pain.

OOC: okay, this is my re-attempt at a furry rp. It's been so long since I've done this I hope it's okay. I've put in a lot of hours on this.
Rules: Follow the storyline... God chars aren't allowed. This rp is meant to be fun. So no out of control subplots. I don't want giant robots, mechs ect... Just go with the flow not against it. Suggestions are welcome. I'm not picky about your choice of characters just as long as they don't act retarded XD
Setting: Great Forest, eventually Robotropolis
Basic info: The general history of the planet. The Royal Family Acorn is no more. The throne was taken by the prower family just because they were better suited for the job anyway. Besides Max was off his rocker. Acorns faded into history. Peace was regained and everyone thought Ivo to be dead... blah blah blah... If Sonic and Sally did get together in this AU nobody cares anyway lol.
History: A final raid on Robotropolis meant the downfall of Ivo, though in the explosion his body was never recovered. The Acorns resided in Mobotropolis once again. But certain events forced the prower family to flee with their followers. The king said that they be treated as traitors to the throne. A civil war broke loose between Mobotropolis and Knothole where the Prowers resided. Many months and a few battles later the Acorns lost their honor and their birthrite to stupid beleifs and idiocracy. And Mad Max took his own life rather than live in dishonor. Many thought that with his dying breathe he allowed Mobotropolis to fall into the hands of Ivo who was very much alive. Rather then let the rebels have it meaning Robotropolis' rebirth. People weren't even able to blink an eye before Ivo stood before them again with his legion of robotic minions. Now a new leader was needed to fill in the gap. With his many deeds and accomplishments the people had spoken and agreed that Miles "Tails" Prower become the new king. And the 18 year old two tailed fox agreed. And thus became the new king of Acronia. Now 30 years later they are still at war with the tyrant known as Ivo.
Plot: There's something bad happening. Village leaders are being assassinated. Some think that they are trying to find the royal family. Only one person truely knows. But her secrets are locked behind a door of mystery.
"LEMME GO! @#%$! I'M GONNA TELL MY DAD!"
It was a rather standard scene as far as mobius went. A gang of roaming bounty hunters had rounded up a mark and were carrying him kicking and screaming back to the city. This scene however seemed in stark contrast to the general situation of the planet.
A small group of mixed mobian breeds wandered through the brush of the Great Forest with a small parcel in tow. An overlander? At least the boy looked the part. And while the Irony of furries capturing an overlander was not lost a sense of urgency was thick in the air. The red haired child frantically kicking at the large bear lugging him over his shoulder. His motions so hysterical that his small square rimmed glasses went flying off his freckled face and to the overgrown forest ground.
"Whats up with it's outfit? He supposed to be some kinda fighter or something? Freaking fitting fatigues and a trenchcoat? What kinda kid wears that?" A smaller bounty hunter muttered irritated at the boy's constant squawking.
She stopped but for only momentarily to look at her shoulder. Interestingly enough the wound had already begun to heal. She narrowed her eyes at it and basically watched the wound close itself up. What was going on!? That couldn't be normal... Course how did she even know what was normal and what wasn't. Her ear twitched upon hearing voices not to far off. The shouts of a terrified youth. It pulled at her heart even though her instints told her to stay away. But for some reason she had to see what was happening. She moved from tree to tree swiftly and silently. Closer the voices came until she was basically right on top of them. Yet they were oblivious to her presence. That is for now. The child in question was being helf frimly by a bear. By the looks of it he didn't look like he liked it. It wasn't her problem though... but she couldn't just leave him there. It was a stupid thing to do, but who else would help? She stepped out in their path. Hood covering her face. "release the child..."
The lead canine stopped and blinked at her, "You REALLY gonna stop us girlie?"
"OW!" The bear yelped holding the still struggling child at arms length with one strong arm. "Little bastard BIT me!" The boy chomped his teeth at the furry again as if mocking him, "Let me go! And stop cussing you big dork!"
There was no turning back now. She might as well go all the way for the child she didnt' know. "If I must... I will take you down here an now..." she said in an eerily calm voice, her body still unmoving. "If you value your health you'll do as I say..."
"You talk a lot. Get her." The dog barked at his 4 companions. The last one was the bear, he seemed into on using the human as a club.
The cloak few through the air as jumped back to avoid the first one. He began to punch at her. Keyna deflected his punches with one hand. Frustrating him he threw all his weight into a punch which she side stepped grabbing onto his arm and threw him over her shoulder into a tree. Amazing considering his size compared to her. She dropped narrowly avoiding a blow to the back of her head. Brought her leg up and back quickly connecting to private area. His howl of pain turned into more like a feminine squeek as his eyes crossed meeting the ground only seconds later. She rolled forward twisting and turning her body into a croutched position. The bear and coyote came at her. She stood up and ran jumping up and round house kicked the coyote, ducking as the boy flew over her head. She glared up at the bear, using him as a club, how barbaric... She had to do this carefully. She ran and slid between the bears' legs behind him. Jumped onto his back sinking her claws into his flesh. Hopefully the shock and pain would make him drop the kid and go after her.
Indeed her plan did work, but she seemed to have failed to judged the height difference between the bear and his unwilling club. The human hit the ground with a sickening thud and lay motionless.
The bear growled and tried the throw his newly formed flesh leech off, "You witch, he's not worth anything with a broken neck. How DARE you."
Her heart sank as she cursed to herself, that had not been what she had planned to do at all. As far as she knew this was her first time rescuing someone and she wasnt' doing a very good job so far. She ripped her claws from his back. "And you think using him as a club wasn't going to result in injuring him that way?!" She slammed both fists into the side of his skull. She pushed off of him sending him stumbling backward away from the boy. She went to the child's side and knelt down next to him checking his breathing and making sure he was uninjured, though she was doubtful with her luck so far.
"I think you'll be suprised what that little bastard is ma-"
The bear was cut short by the a high pitched resounding, "B****," from the boy. Key felt the boy's palm hit her in the stomach, as hard as a child with limited arm strength could really muster. Then something else hit her, a kind of energy wave slammed into her gut and felt like a train. The sensation for being flung back across the ground was the next feeling her brain took in.
Key was taken aback, had hadn't expected that to happen. She braced herself with what little time she had before she smacked into a tree. With the wind knocked out of her and the immense pain in her gut she sat there for a moment catching her breath again. "I guess I deserved that one." she said with a small laugh. Her head swam slightly so she rested it on the tree again. It would pass soon.
The boy looked furious, frustrated, flustered, and a few other f-words as he clumsily got to his feet utterly barely audible profanity with every stumble as if he was infuriated he was only able to muster than balance of a normal child his age. As if it wasn't enough to be normal physically.
Once to his feet tears were obvious in his eyes but his emotions seemed totally locked up. He charged the injured bear and hit him square in the chest with another strike. This time Key was able to see first hand a strange pulse of blue energy at the moment of impact between the boy's palm on the bear's torso.
*THUD*
The bear was slammed a few inches back into the tree again. Callously, emotionlessly the boy landed three more attacks akin to the previous. Finally he hauled back and fired off one more attack, straight into the bear's face.
*Crack*
The bear fell limp. Key had no idea if he'd simply knocked him out, or maybe shattered his nose, hell for all she knew that last attack may have broken the bounty hunters neck and paralyzed or even killed him. Regardless her mulling the possible amount of damage she had to wonder why, if the human was that strong, hadn't he just freed himself.
After his display of deadpan anger the boy simply stormed behind the nearest rock and plopped down, grabbing a stick and drawing random shapes in the dirt between his feet.
She looked over at the bear, he had gotten what he had deserved as well. Key stood up slowly testing herself. The pain had gone and the swimming in her head subsided. She walked over toward the child careful to keep her distance just in case he wanted to be vengeful again. "Are you injured?" she asked softly.
The boy only furrowed his brow and continued playing with the dirt.
"I appologize. I guess I'm not very good at rescue..." She walked over picking up her cloak and replacing it over her shoulders. "What is your name?"
The sun was high in the sky, veiled between the swaying branches of those tall maple wood trees which adorned the forest. Nike was walking low through the tree line. His house was unsecure. Last night, when coming home from a scouting mission, he went in to his cave to find that it had been occupied! The Bounty Hunters....they were close on his track! He had to find a new home, and being forced into the day, the open...he knew he was going to get caught. He knew it was only a matter of time. His revolver was empty, but maybe he could scare them off...if he got the initial jump.
Noises! To the left! He hurried towards them...if he suprised them, maybe he could force them to give them his weapons...at least he would have a chance....he hurried over, and jumped into the open, pointing his revolver around.
"ALRIGHT! DROP 'EM! GIVE ME EVERYTHING!" He shouted. Four furs lay on the ground, obviously out cold. A human kid was playing in the dirt, and some fox was standing near him. A really, really, really attractive fox. Nike almost forgot he was pointing the revolver right at her head, due to his entrancement.
"Hey, i'm a fox, too..." He said, still pointing the gun at her. Damn, he was bad at pickup lines.
The boy narrowed his eyes and muttered lowly, not looking at her, "Katwan hemayan... to'na."
She looked over at the boy, either that was his name or some foreign language, she didn't know which. But now there was a new problem. An intruder. "Hey, I'm a fox, too..." he said. She didn't look impressed.
"Congradulations." she said running at him smacking his wrist making his gun fly out of his hand. She moved around him twisting his arm around his back.
GOOD TIME TO PANIC!!! His mind was reeling. Oh, no no no no! He was done for! He was going to Robotropolis! The light was fading, he was doomed! DOOMED!
"No! NO NO NO! Stop st-ow!!!!" He squirmed, flailing about in a full state of panic. "I'll do anything! ANYTHING! Just don't bring me there! Please! I won't tell anyone! One less won't matter, right?! I won't tell anyone! I'll disappear! You'll never see me again! Please! PUHHHLEEAAASSEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
"What are muttering about?" she asked releasing his arm. "I'm not taking you anywhere." She walked over and picked up the gun. Finding there was no ammo in it. Keyna sighed softly. "That wasn't worth the energy..." She tossed the gun away completely losing any interest she had in it and retreated back to the boy. She leaned against the rock he sat beside and looked down at him. "Do you not like Mobians? Or are you still mad at me for the drop rescue. Either way I appologized and it's up to you to trust me or not. You've already proved that you can hold your own." she said lightly touching her belly. She looked back at the vulpine wearily.
The boy looked down and away, "x'ak... nencopa x'ak." He rubbed his head where he'd landed on it.
"I know you can speak mobian... I could hear you clear as day from where I was a few minute ago." She began. "Wheather you choose to accompany me is your choice. But choose quickly, I don't want to stick around here for very long. This is the second group of bounty hunters I've ran into in the period of ten minutes. I would rather not run into more."
"What's Mobian?" The boy muttered out still rubbing his head.
"It's the language I am speaking right now, although you may know it as something different."
"Oh, whatever, my head hurts." The boy sputtered out seeming to lose interest in the language conversation.
"I'll find you a creek on the way." she said moving away from the rock. "That is if you wish to come."
The human folded his arms, as if thinking.
"Um.. ok, you can help me find daddy!" He blurted out, suddenly perking up.
That explained why he was alone. "So you've gotten separated... I guess I can do that." She couldn't very well leave him to wander the forest alone it was dangerous to a child. Even if he had such strange power. He got caught once there's no sense saying it won't happen again.
"No, Dad ran away, Uncle Toby took me to find him... but..." The boy trailed off.
"Oh..." She paused for a moment as if thinking. She needed more information if she was going to help him. But the situation proved difficult if the father took off. Moreso even if he wanted to be found. The Uncle was another issue. Did the rogues kill him to get the boy. If so it would be a very sensitive issue to discuss, but she had to know what exactly happened. "What happened to your Uncle? Were you attacked by those rogues?" Besides, she couldn't help herself at the moment so she should help someone else.
"I'd say that's quite the distance, and it sure looks like the descrip' I was told for the reward.... heh. Dad be' proud of me, right now if the old sociopath was still around......Heh." a figure in the moss and bushel of the trees thought as through the scope of his rifle he saw the vixen. His sly smirk was upon his face, this was perfect. A clear and nice shot.
As he was taking aim, a loud noise echoed through the forest.
"AH-AH-AHCHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
The sneeze was loud and apparent, and the Sniper was busy recovering from it... wait. What? The Sniper SNEEZED? What kind of rookie was this? He shook from it.
"Damn It! Why does that always happen!?" he cursed under his breath as he regained aim. Before anything else happened he had to shoot that damn girl!
He shot his rifle, the bullet pacing to it's target.
"Okay tell me later..." She cocked her ear toward the not so suttle sneeze. She could hear a whistling zooming toward her soon after. Not good, well anything coming at you with that speed was not good. She rolled her body to the left and down into a sitting position now sitting beside the boy. "Stay low..." She cocked her ears backward to listen.
The bullet that was aimed for her right shoulder zipped into the trees behind her, due to her quickest dodging maneuver. But one could say the sniper wasn't so pleasantly pleased.
"Curse It on a Stick!" he thought angrily as he wiped his nose before looking through the scope again. "C'mon, I only have four more paralyzing-percussion rounds." he muttered as he loaded another of the specially made bullets into the single shot, bolt-action rifle. He closed one eye as he took aim. He grinned.
"So, she's crouched down... but now she's alert." he thought as his finger paced the trigger, he reached into his pocket and retrieved a robotic-shaped round ball.
"This percussion grenade might work, if it's range hits her. But if it misses I might have a clear shot." he chuckled in his thoughts. He swiftly tossed the item, but as fate had it - it hit a tree, and then another, and another, and another.... until it rolled right at the foot of the tree he was up on. He looked down and his eyes widened.
At that range, the percussion wave would knock the tree down!
"@#%$. @#%$. @#%$." he cursed as he jumped from his placement, and as the percussion grenade exploded and downed the tree he made his away around. He had to find another vantage point.
He sighed. Why was he cursed with Bad Luck, he was sure his dad never dealt with this!
The boy did no such thing, in fact he stood straight up, folding his arms in an attempt to make his child-sized maroon trenchcoat looking intimidating. Then yelped out as only a pouting boy could, "Stop it you big fat meanie! Or I'm gonna tell my dad!"
"What are you doing? Get down!" She whispered harshly. Keyna looked around the rock to see if she could see the shooter. If she spotted him perhaps she could engage him. And take him out before he could harm the boy or herself.
