Jonah looked down at the handgun suspiciously and then back up at Lucia.

"I've only carried a gun once before, and that earned me this little beauty mark here" Jonah pointed to the scar behind his ear. "I may be new to the forest, but I think maybe I should take my chances with what I've got."

OOC: One small problem with that, Froggy. They couldn't remove the trap from her leg, so they pulled out the metal peg that held the trap in the ground. Silence is now involuntarilly taking the trap with her. The blood trail would still be there, however, so you don't have to alter your post that much. I appreciate you wanting to help my character though. :)

I seem to be a jinx to all my characters. :p

RENI: "You got that right."

--"Quiet, you're dead in this."

Ahem...anyway...

IC:

"Are you gonna help me find my sister or not?" TJ asked, impatient and worried.

"Of coarse I am, but we have to cross that field."

"So?"

"So...We wait for nightfall."

"Why?! She could be somebody's coat by then!"

"Calm down. I know what I'm doing, okay?" Alcor said, unfazed, as he peered cautiously out at the meadow between the forest and the fur farm where Peace was appearantly being kept. "Look, out there, we have no protection. There may or may not be traps in that meadow, I don't know. All I know is, we'll have no trees or brush to hide in. Hunters will find it a whole heck of a lot easier to pick us off out there. We might not even make it halfway across before bein blown away, me especially. We need to wait for the cover of darkness."

"But..."

"Look, if they were gonna kill her, she'd be dead already. In the few minutes we've been sittin here, they coulda done it. Those kinda people don't mess around when they wanna kill somebody. What I'm sayin is that we have more chance of geting there alive if we wait for the dark."

TJ sent a mournful glance in the painted hedgehog's direction.

"Look, you wanna know something about me? I've been evading hunters and purposely springing their traps and snares for six years. There's a high bounty on hedgehogs around here to begin with. The price on my head is about triple the normal bounty for others of my species. The humans find great excitement in hunting those they find the most challenging. I've spied on hunters in their camps when they didn't know I was there...I've heard the stories they tell about me and how much prestige and money they would earn by finally catching me. I'm a legend to those hunters, and as much as I despise them, I have to admit...When I hear how almost...reverent...they are of me...

"Anyway, though they obviously respect me, it doesn't change the fact that I top their bounty lists. They can't wait to strut into the local furier's shop, proudly displaying the carcass of Ol' Trapslip. Oh, what a story that would be to brag to their friends and family about!

"The point is, I can't take any chances. Now, are you gonna wait with me for nightfall, or are you gonna get yerself killed?"

TJ looked at the ground. "...Okay, but...Oh Alcor, I'm so worried!"

"I know you are, little- er, guess I should call ya big bro, eh? Yer older'n me. I know yer worried. An' we'll save 'er as soon as we can. I promise." He couldn't help reaching out and affecionately ruffling the kitsune's headfur.

****

They had to stop. Silence was limping severely, her lower leg stained dark red. Thankfully, the bone did not appear to be broken. If they could just remove that trap...

The triplets found a suitable shelter in the form of a sizable cavity under the roots of a tree. After Tranquility had checked it thoroughly for snares, of which there fortunately were none, they crawled inside and set to work trying again to remove the trap. Every so often, Tranqulity or Electra would venture to the opening of the hole and scan for danger before returning to their sister's side.

"Tranq, we need to stop the blood loss. She'll die if she looses much more...her heart can't take the strain of even a pint of missing blood!"

"I know, but I don't know what to do. It's not like any of us wear enough clothes to rip off and wrap around the wound. And it'd be hard to do that while the trap's still on her leg anyway...I just don't know what to do..." Tranq looked at Silence worriedly.

She looked vacantly back at him, mentally mumbling something. Her mindvoice was so weak, however, that neither Tranq or Electra could make sense of what she'd said. The albino hedgehog's head lolled, as she passed into unconsciousness.

"SI! Si, no! Don't leave us!"

Several minutes later, she opened her pink eyes before falling unconscious again. As minutes seemed to stretch into hours, Silence passed in and out of consciousness several times.

"Please stay with us...dear sister..."

****

(OOC: These two hunters have absolutely nothing to do with Hunter himself, who I haven't yet brought fully into this. He comes in later. Wait and see...)

"Somethin's been here alright. And it looks to 'ave been real clever-like. It triggered all our traps an' didn't get caught in a one o' 'em!"

"Don't be too sure. We had sixteen traps, remember? And judging by the tracks...I'd say it was three of 'em...no, wait, four. See? here's the tracks...two of 'em look like they stopped around one of em...see there was a struggle of some kind...Like two of 'em was tryin to help one...The other track seems to have come in later...after t'other three was gone..."

"Wow...you can read all that?"

"Yup. Yer 'appin to be trainin wit one a t'best trackers in ta Great Forest. And look. We's missin a trap. Right here where the struggle took place...I don't believe it! They pulled up the pin! They musta not been able to release their friend...I knew those were good qual'ty traps...designed to snap shut and not release without the right key."

"If they's togeatha, they couldna got far, right?"

"Correct. And the other one...even closer, cuz 'e didn't come by till t'others were gone. We got an injured one whose gonna be slowed up major an' two friends, who don't look like they'da be inclined to leave their pally be'ind, plus that other one. Looks like they saved their friend and took our trap wit 'em. And look 'ere. Blood from ta injured one...and fur...white fur, make that...quills! Clyde, we got ourselves a hedgie! Maybe even three or four! We'll be rollin in the dough...Jest think of it..."

"So whatdwe do now, Earl?"

"Why, follow the blood trail, o'coarse...Jest think of the money...a white hedgehog...the furiers'll have a hayday! C'mon..."

TBC

PS, Black Adder, Please keep Myth from interfering with these two hunters, please. I have a plan for them...

OOC: I think Myth is still following 'Old Rick' and his new tag-a-long around. For the time being at least. Someone pull me back to the plot. I'm left talking to myself again. :p

OOC: I realize that. I only stated that as a warning, seeing as Myth has shown a tendancy to jump about and swing through trees. Merely a statement that I want these two hunters to remain safe for the time being.;)

OOC: With your violent emotions? Yeah probably. But he's not a damn radar, he doesn't know YOU. You know the weird feeling you get when you know someone is near you? Thats how a Warden "senses" it just appears as an emotion. Whatever emotion the other person has. Theres no way to tell exactly where, how far away, physical images, thoughts, or any of that telepathic stuff. High levels of emotions mess with the energy in the air, Warden's pick up on that giving them a small advantage in being able to prepare for an emotionally charged attack. Rico was never any good at fighting robotnik because robots aren't beings that have emotions. In canon, any person that can completely control their emotional levels can easily sneak up on a Warden. In addition had you looked at the Warden FAQ I'm making you'd see that Warden's don't have many offense capabilities. Generally they have to learn some kind of standard magic spell to attack with magic energy. Most only have the sword you've seen Rico, Trevor, or Kenji wielding. You know, the lightsaber ripoff? What? I'm not going lie, it is. But everyone rips off those things, especially phantasy star, lol. I'm going to add a section to the FAQ because of this on just what Warden can do as have as ESP.

The thing to keep in mind is Rico is basically a 72 year old in a body thats actually aged only around mid to late thirties. Its going to hard to play him because by this time he's actually a powerplayer, but did you watch? He does do anything. Myth has done all the attack so far, Rico just walked in and carried off the hurt fox. Would he have killed the hunter? Only if it would save the kid. If the kid was already dead there would be no point in killing the hunter.

Rico's much more advanced from the normal one, thank violet for that ;) , he's not as emotionally driven or self doubting. In all honesty he's and arrogant, self indulged, powerplayer. Like I said its going to tough RP for me, but I can pull this off. Just bear with me and don't assume I'm going to do things that I haven't done yet.

OOC: Alright, ignore the "trap" part of my last post. I stand corrected.

IC:

Froggy has found them. The group he has been following has stopped and hidden underneath the roots of a tree. He climbs down the side of that very same tree and pops his head down into their little hole. They are, of all things, hedgehogs. Three of them. They seem to be children, in their teens. One of them is an albino, with the trap they pulled out of the ground still firmly attatched to her leg. If he were to guess, he would say they are all siblings. He can see the resemblance in the three.

The two that are still fully concious jump backwards in surprise. Maybe he should have announced his presence before he popped his head in....

Froggy: "Ooops. Sorry about that."

He falls away from the tree and lands on his feet, an acrobatic feat that would probably impress the two, had they not been shocked by his arrival.

Froggy: "My name is Froggy. I'm not here to hurt you."

He takes a look at the wounded one's leg. He winces in sympathy. The leg doesn't seem broken, but it certainly has been torn up badly. First priority is getting that damn trap off of her. After that, the wound will need cleaned, disinfected, and stitched up. He has all the supplies for that, with the exception of time. If he can track them here, the hunters can too. Have to work fast.

He takes his backpack off and starts taking out the needed things.

Froggy: "Please...let me help her. I can fix her up. We don't have much time."

Lucia: Suit yourself.
Lucia kept the handgun and ammunition. He aimed the Deceiver-M at the path he had just come from.

Lucia: It's clear. No traps, no weird hunter-hunter.
Jonah and Lucia moved along the path...

IC: Though they were slightly distrustful of the strange frog that had just dropped in on their hiding place, Tranquility and Electra were more worried about their sister at the time being. The three conscious mobians strained and struggled with the worrysome trap for what seemed like hours, however, it refused to relinquish it's deathgrip on Silence's leg.

"Unnnnngggg...GA!" All three tumbled backwards as their hands slipped off of the obstinant metal imprisoning the albino princess's leg. Tranq hung his head. "It's hopeless, guys. We cant dislodge it..."

Electra looked thoughtful. "Hmm...hold on! We don't have to!"

"Huh?!"

"Tranq, yer the fast one of the family, right?"

"Yeah, but what's that got to do with Si's leg? My speed isn't gonna get rid of that trap!"

"Maybe, but...you can spindash, can't you?"

"We can all spindash, sis."

"But you're the best."

"I...guess so, but I still don't see-Ooooh..." A grin spread accross his face as he realized what his sister was getting at. "Stand back, everybody, I've only done this a couple of times before..." With that, he curled himself up and spun toward Silence, slicing off first one hinge of the trap, and then the other. After that, it was only a matter of carefully removing each of the metal jaws.

As if knowing that things were starting to look up, Silence woke up then, staring somewhat vacantly at the frog who was cleaning and bandaging her leg. She smiled slightly and nodded at him.

"She says, 'Thank you for saving me.'" Electra translated.

"What? She didn't--"

"She can't talk."

"Hmm I'm sorry...Why?"

"She says, 'I was born with a tiny voicebox.' We're triplets; when mom was pregnant with us, we kinda crowded Si out, so she didn't develop as, um, completely. Sorry, bout that, Si."

The white hedgehog waved her hand dismissively. "Not yer fault, Tranq. It's nobody's fault. I accept the way I am, it's no big deal."

"It is when your heart isn't strong enough to deal with much loss of blood...how are you feeling?"

"Much better...thanks, you guys...I don't know what I'dve done if..." Her mindvoice trailed off as she slipped into unconciousness again, this time sleeping more peacefully.

She was going to be all right. Tranq looked down at the broken trap. In disgust, he threw it deep into the cavernous root cavity, where it would never again see daylight. The turquoise hedgehog gently picked up his sister and made for the entrance to their hidaway, cautiously peering out before emerging the rest of the way and walking carefully off into the darkening forest, Electra and their new friend following. "We've got to keep moving...Froggy, did you see any humans following us?" he asked, as a single snowflake drifted past his nose.

**

"The sun's going down, Alcor. Can we go save my sister now?"

"Not until it's fully dark. One more hour should do it...Uh-oh."

"What?! What's wrong?"

"Nothing yet...but I can smell snow, which means we'll be easier to follow. Looks like we'll haveta go now...Now follow me and stay close, this could be extremely dangerous..." TJ started into the air, but Alcor abruptly pulled him down. "And don't fly. That's a sure way of getting yourself killed!" he hissed, crawling out into the meadow on hands and knees, the long grass doing it's best to hide him. TJ followed aprehensively.

**

"This way...They're obviously concerened 'bout their friend."

"Why's that?"

They ain't even tryin to hide their trail. They just want ta get away from us as quickly as possible...They prob'ly wanna find a hole in t'ground or someplace ta hide from us...and so's they can help t'injured one. Heh, their tracks'll lead me right to 'em..."

The two hunters crept along the ground, following the trail of blood and footprints eagerly but cautiously.

Earl pulled an arrow fom his quiver, ready at a moment's notice to fit it to his bow and send it sailing to its mark in his intended quarry. "The trick of it is this," He whispered to his companion, "Ya wanna get as close as ya can before shooting, otherwise yu'd maybe miss, and yu'll end panickin the others. I use arrows cuz it's easier on the pelt, and quieter than guns. I c'n sneak right up on 'em an shoot 'em in ta backa ta 'ead afore they know I's there.

"An' the thing 'bout hedgies," he continued, "is that their most vulnerable spot is their chest, butcha don' wanna shoot 'em there if ya don't hafta. Ya aim for ta neck, an once they're down, ya don' waste time killin em, just take the chest fur, and mebbe some quills as proof that the fur's genuine, and get outa there."

"Y-ya mean ya don't kill 'em first?"

"Why bother? They'll die on thier own anyway. Not worth the effort to actually kill 'em."

"But...that means they'll be sufferin!"

"So? They're animals. They don't feel it."

"But..."

"Shh...Lookie here...This is where they stopped, this root-hole..."

"Are they still in there?"

"I'll check." Earl shined a light inside. "Huh-uh. They musta known we was comin...An' look," he reached into the hole and pulled out the destroyed trap.

"Our last trap!"

"Exactly. Which means they either have a metal cutting device, or...one or more of 'em have special abities."

"Doesn't that make them more dangerous?"

"Exactly...just the way I like it..." Earl grinned.

Lucia: You're on your own now.
Lucia had seen something with the Pathfinder's 50x zoom adjustment. He thought he'd seen an arrowtip, so he wanted to check.

Jonah: Where're you going?

Lucia: ...
Lucia disappeared into the forest. He turned off the targetting laser to conceal himself in the darkness of the undergrowth. He then quickly made for the place where he last saw the shining arrowtip.

Lucia: I thought I saw it here... hmm.
Lucia adjusted the Pathfinder's magnification while in the dense undergrowth. He saw a curved object with a thin string attached to it. He switched the Pathfinder with the infra-red scope and adjusted magnification to maximum and saw two very small figures looking at the ground. He then looked at the ground.

Lucia: Tracks... They probably lead a long way away from here. Best keep my distance.

OOC: If this is unacceptable, tell me, Violet. :D

OOC: Only proplem is, that I think Lucia and my two hunters aren't anywhere near each other. It would take Lucia more time than it did in your post to find them, and chances are, they would have been gone by then. The forest is rather expansive. A lot of things can happen independantly of each other here. They don't call it the Great Forest for nothin, ya know. ;)

IC:

"watch your step, I thought i just saw something." whispered Elizabeth. Nana had been walking a little farther ahead and stopped in her tracks. "What did you see?"
"Something. It flashed on the ground under those leaves, a trap I bet."

The monkey bounded sideways, landed neatly onto a trunk and swung up into the branches of the tree. Liz looked up curiously, wondering what her friend maybe doing. Suddenly she heard a crack followed by a decent sized branch hurtling down to the ground, setting off all the traps in front of her. The human jumped backwards as all the leaves flared up in unison as if alive, along with the sound of the silver traps going off, ringing in her ears.

Nana jumped back down in a flash. " I think I gots all of them!" she said cheerfully. "Though...maybe it would be safer if we went around all this." Liz sighed "Around could be a long way but, sure...that sounds like the best thing to me." So they both began to move around all the unset traps, hoping that the branch had not missed any.

OOC: I guess these two should run into somebody. But 'who', I have no idea x.x

"Y-ya mean ya don't kill 'em first?"

"Why bother? They'll die on thier own anyway. Not worth the effort to actually kill 'em."

"But...that means they'll be sufferin!"

"So? They're animals. They don't feel it."

Froggy feels bile rise in his throat. Pure, red hot, raw rage threatens to take control, overriding all sense and logic. His hand grips his sword tightly enough to cut off blood circulation. He wants to leap down from the tree he is hiding behind and stick his blade deep into the foul guts of that monster. But he takes that anger and shoves it down into his core. He can't afford to give in to his anger. Not when it would endanger the hedgehogs' lives.

Froggy waits up in the tree until the hunters move on. He crawls back to the treetop, where the hedgehog children are waiting silently.

Froggy: "They've left...for now. I made a false trail that will lead them away from here."

He looks down at the little hedgehog girl's wounded leg. He managed to clean and bandage it before they took off, but it still needs to be stitched. That will take more time.

Silence...that is her name, and an appropriate one at that. The poor girl can't speak. And yet...her siblings seem to understand her perfectly well. For one brief moment, he morbidly wonders what her albino fur would look like being worn on a human. He again feels the desire to throw up. How humans can treat other species as they do...he'll never understand it. He'll never understand how anyone can purposely cause others to live in fear.

Froggy: "Alright. I have to ask...what are you three doing out here? I was rather surprised to see three young hedgehogs, the species that hunters value the most, hiking out here in the most heavily hunted place on the entire planet. Is there any particular reason you would take such a risk?"

"Are we going the right way?" Joey asked half asleep on the fox's back. Rico looked around for a moment, "The right way to where?" The younger fox gave him a confused glance, "Knothole." Rico shrugged, "I don't know."

Now the youth was awake, "What? You mean you're lost?" Rico looked up at the sky, "Probably, but you can only stay lost if you stay where you don't know where you are." Joey looked sleepy from his nap but the fox's explaination wouldn't have made much sense whether he was awake or not.

"I thought I needed a doctor though." He grumbled laying his head back down on the fox's shoulder. Rico snorted, "We're looking, I really haven't ever needed one, so I don't know where I'd find one. There someone ahead though. Lets walk over and hope its not a human." Joey gritting his teeth looking around from his perch on the older fox's back, "Like I have a choice." Rico ignored him and pushed into through the brush toward the noises.

OOC: Leave it in your hands who he runs into. I'm sick, but I'm still in this, just don't run past me and leave me out to dry eh?

OOC: Froggy, age update: The triplets are 17. Not exactly children anymore. You don't need to change anything, I just thought I should make you aware of that. Silence is smaller than her brother and sister though, by about a head and a half. *Hugs Silence* I just ADORE my mute, albino runt with a heart condition! :insane Ahem...anywhoo...

IC:

Electra gripped the branch she was sitting on tightly, quivering with rage. "Just animals...JUST animals! How dare they?! I'll show them!" She muttered, electricity beginning to gather in her hand. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and turned to look into her sister's pink eyes. Silence shook her head meaningfully, and Electra forced herself to relax. The electricity started to disperse itself along her purple quills. Si, I'd never do anythin to put you in danger again, you know that... Silence just smiled.

"Alright. I have to ask...what are you three doing out here? I was rather surprised to see three young hedgehogs, the species that hunters value the most, hiking out here in the most heavily hunted place on the entire planet. Is there any particular reason you would take such a risk?" Froggy asked.

Tranquility gave a heavy sigh, looking out into the forest, now dusted with a fine patina of snow. "We-we're lookin for our parents." Tranq looked down at his hands. "You see, Dad dissapeared when we were ten, and then Mom went lookin for him, and...well, no one knows fer sure...but...they say Hunter got 'er...Reports came back of a skin on his wall...I wouldn't believe it at first, I mean, who's crazy enough to enter Hunter's lodge of their own free will in the first place?

"But...When more and more people claimed to have seen the pelt of a purple hedgehog with a rainbow-colored ring of fur on it's arm...hanging on Hunter's wall..." He looked away, trying to stifle the tears that had started to fall. "Well, Si, Lectra an' I decided to...brave the Great Forest..."

Electra jumped in to save her brother some embarrassment, "We just HAD to know! And, we had to DO somethin! We couldn't just sit in Knothole all our lives, afraid to get killed by hunters, never knowing if Mom an' Daddy were alive or not..."

"They say there's a place in the mountains...a place where the humans are nice...where they protect Mobians from hunters. Mom wanted to get their help...so she left us with Granddad...made us promise not to follow...but now...We NEED to find these humans...convince them to help us stop those d**n poachers!" Tranq pounded a fist into his palm, a mixture of determination and greif in his eyes.

*****

A snowflake landed on Alcor's nose. Hmmm...we'd better get to this place soon, or we'll be crawlin through snow...Dark blue doesn't blend well with white...I'll be a sittin duck, so ta speak...He cautiously peered over the top of the grass...Ah, here we are..."Psst, Teej. We're here."

The kitsune's head popped up above the level of the grass, beholding with fear the buiding he'd just escaped from. An indigo hand reached out of the grass and pressed the fox's head back down into cover. The two mobians warily gazed through the last layer of swaying grass at the imposing structure.

"Great Mother Mobius, that place REEKS!" Alcor breathed, wrinkling his nose in distaste.

Tails, Jr. nodded grimly. "See that smoke? It's the furnaces. When they skin somebody, they burn the bodies..."

"And you were LIVIN in that?!"

"Uh-huh. They were just about to kill me when one of the others that were chosen shoved me into a drainage pipe. It took me what seemed like DAYS to get outa there! I probably still smell like waste-water and blood..."

"I wasn't gonna mention anything, considering what you'd said was gonna happen..."

"S'okay. What matters now is gettin Peace outa there...and however many kids she's had...It's pretty sad...they kept gettin her pregnant...I don't even think she ever saw any of the fathers...They just kept takin her away, and when she came back, she said they'd injected her again-"

"Artificial insemination..."

"What?"

"Never mind..."

"Anyway, some of the guys were taken away and returned periodically too. Not me, though. I guess they just wanted to kill me, not breed me." TJ looked at the ground.

"Is there another reason we're breakin in here that you haven't told me? Do you maybe have a...girlfrind...in there?" Alcor poked his new friend playfully.

"No...I mean, not anymore. They took her 'way...I never saw Cynthia again...I mean, sure she was kinda crazy, but who wouldn't be, in a place like this?"

By that time, the two stood at the base of the windowless tower, it's top shrouded in a cloud of black smoke that smelled of roasted meat and burned bones. No doors of any kind were visible. Alcor crept cautiously along the sides, pausing warily at each corner, as he searched for an opening. However, the cold, black stones gave away no entrance. "How do we get in? How do the HUMANS get in?"

"By hellicopter. The only entrance is up there. I got OUT by a drainage pipe, but those are too steep and slippery to go in by." The kitsune pointed up into the dense smog.

Alcor wrinkled his nose. "Okay...how do WE get up there?"

TJ cleared his throat. "You're forgetting who my dad was, aren'tcha?" He leapt into the air. "Like I said, the only way up is by hellicopter, but that doesn't mean it has to be the machine kind." He winked and beckoned to Alcor. "C'mon."

The indigo hedgehog balked, reluctant to leave the ground.

"Oh, c'mon, they won't see us, the smoke's too thick."

"I...I dunno...I hate flyin."

"That's cuz you've never done it before."

"Oh, okay." C'mon, Alcor, don' be a wimp. What'd Dad say if he knew you were cowerin on the ground, afraid of flyin? Forcing a grin, Alcor connected his hands with TJ's, and the two rose into the air, not unlike the way their fathers had once done.

The two Mobians were silent as they traversed the height of the stone monolith of death; the only sounds they made were an occasional cough from breathing the reeking fumes of the fur farm's waste disposal system. They passed the edge of the top of the building, but were forced higher by several massive black iron, inward-curving, gothic-like spikes.

"What the heck?" Alcor said, squinting aprehensively at the spikes as TJ flew over them.

"Nobody knows. It may be some kinda defense mechanism, meant to keep would-be escapees in, I dunno." The flying fox said, gently setting his new friend down. They quickly dodged behind a random roof structure.

"Well," Alcor breathed to himself, "This is it." They raced to the door and darted inside a waiting elevator...

OOC: BTW, that building I just described comes from a dream I once had. Cool, huh? ;)

Lucia lowered the Deceiver-M and stealthily moved while crouching in the undergrowth. He was moving slowly and looking into the infra-red scope at the same time. He saw the two tiny figures move on and thought he'd seen a flash of light. He shook his head, thinking he was imagining things. He continued on as quickly as he could.

After a while, he reached a path that would let even the blind see him. It was covered in snow, meaning it would be easy to track him down. He looked at a tree with his binoculars that hung around his neck. Suspicious red stains covered it in spots, which were clear in the snow that was spread across the trees.

Lucia looked into the infra-red scope and pointed it at the tree. He saw 4 figures. 3 had quills and Lucia immediately assumed that they were hedgehogs. One was smaller, but Lucia couldn't tell what it was. He waited and waited, biding his time so as not to startle them...

OOC: Once again, if anything's wrong, tell me :nn;

Myth had gotten bord of folowing the kit and Rico, no fun in something that knows your there. He gave out a yell at them before he left "Its south of here! Your only getting more lost."
He climbed up a near by hill and looked out over the forist, his forist. Was it his forist, he didn't realy cair any more. He looked toward what he disided would be his favorate vew of the sea, and saw the fur factory. Now, myth new that he couldn't see the sea from here, but the fact remaind that even if he could see the sea the factroy would block his vew of the sea so that he couldn't see it. The made him happy, which in turn mad him sad, which in tern made him agery at the fact that the factory that had bloked his vew had made him feal happy in the first place. Something had to be done about this! It was a out rage! I mean what would all the coukies say if thay new that factory bolock his vew of the sea and he had done nort about it!!!!
OH THIS WOULD NEVER DO!
Pluss the black towering smoke looked like it was having a wonderfull time, a party of some kind, and myth wasn't invited. "Right! Don't say I din't warn you! Now I'm just going to have to kill the lot of you!"
He leped down and ran at top speed toward the factory, murmaring as snow began to fall.
"B***y factory! has the nerve to block my vew of the sea, doesn't inite me to parties, well of all the cheek! My forist after all, of all the nerve and now it dears to snow on ower forist, oh I'm going to make this hert..." ETC...

IC:

The human girl had already pulled her friend back before she walked to close to the bushes. Quickly the two pushed backwards and hid themselves in thick greenery surrounding them. Neither of them knew if who ever it was pushing through were human or not but neither of them wanted to take the chance of finding out first hand. "If its human then you'll be ok, Liz." Nana spoke quietly. Elizabeth gazed ahead, who ever it was had already made it through.
"But they aren't human."
"Huh?"
"Just look up..."
Two foxes were now standing just in front of them..

OOC:Uh, Myth, I kinda wanted to keep TJ and Alcor alone in this. You can attempt to get to the fur farm, but remember, it's not going to be easy to get in or to take down. This is a kind of serious part of the plot, and your character seems to make short work of serious matters. Myth is borderline on powerplaying. I've allowed it so far, but just be careful with what you do with him.

Thank you.

IC later.

Froggy understands the hedgehog's plight. It is a story he has heard a hundred times over, a story about people losing their friends or their familly. He has a part in that story too.

Maybe he was wrong in thinking of them as children. At their age, they shouldn't have to think about things like this. They shouldn't have to worry about being killed every day. They shouldn't have to wonder wether or not their parents as a trophy on someone's wall. But they do.

On Mobius, children are an endangered species.

Froggy: "I know what it is like to lose your parents. I lost mine as well. I lost my mother before I ever met her. She died of disease when I was only 2. My father....I lost my father when I was 10. He was killed by a hunter. ....THE Hunter."

He shivers with the memory. He has grown up in the jungle, a massive rain forest, in an ancient order of warriors. His father was one of the greatest of that order, a warrior of unmatched skill. That order, which had existed for a thousand years, serving Mobius and the king, was utterly destroyed in a single day. They had fought against the humans the moment they had started their wide-spread hunting, and it angered the hunters. So they came into the jungle with full military force. They burnt down the jungle. They burnt down their homes. They murdered nearly everyone. Many had fought back, his father among them. But they didn't stand a chance. Swords and bows were no match for armored vehicles and guns.

His father had fought well. He had slain dozens of humans. But he was shot in the back by the Hunter. Froggy remembers it vividly. He remembers looking into the Hunter's eyes. Those eyes still haunt him in his nightmares.

Froggy: "I...I'll help you in your search. I know how to survive in this place. And I'm going to use all of my skills to aid you."

(OOC: I'll try to get you back into the story soon, Rico. just give me a little time...)

Metal shrugged. The menaching hovering bit...the human failed to notice him entirely. He reached up and tapped a tiny button next to his eyes, causing his eyes to change from red to green as he began an infared search of the forest. "Hrm...those two seem to be stumbling around...the big source as usual...some weird signature bounding around the forest, two off somewhere and one in a tree with three others. Where to go...That way." Metal landed, only to be met with a clang and the sound of springs snapping--he'd let his guard down and landed in a trap...which broke upon contact with his metal legs. "Feh." He tossed it aside and walked onwards towards the two hunters closest to him...Lucia and Jonah...

OOC: geez, I go away for three days and miss a LOT.

Myth had forgotten his plight against the factory, the snow had distracted him and he was currently chasing one flake in particular around the foist completely beside himself. He was acting like a giddy 6 year old on a snow day. So busy he was that he failed to notice that he just passed behind two hunters that were eagerly following a false trail. The hunters span around at the sound of Myths footsteps. Myth was no walce around in a circle with an invisible partner, humming 'I know you' from the Disney film aloud.
Myth: "OH! Good morning old chaps! Lovely day for it! Aey what?"
He continued to Wallace around the pair.
Myth finished his dance and took a bow before diapering into the undergrowth. Fresh blood had filled his lungs and it enticed him away toward a large tree. The hunters looked at each other in puzzlement,
Other hunter: Who or what the hell was that, Earl!
Earl: I dont know an I dont care! No point wasting ammo on such things, I mean didnt you see its fur. Completely matted, useless on the market. Come on, we got a fortune in hedgy fur to track

OOC: I'm realy sory but I can't remember their names:nn; See, the randomness. I'm kind of hoping to see some action, get myth ingered and tern 'the preditor' into the hunted. I kind'a hope it'll be Jonah who'll do it, a show down on even terms should be realy cool.

OOC: Random mobian: "Disney? What is this Disney?"

Heh. Not a big issue, but they wouldn't know of Disney. Different planet, different history, you know. :p

I have a Great Forest right outside my dorm window...My Great Forest...MINE! :insane (I'm in a stupid mood right now...Can you tell?)

Ahem...Okay, back to business...

IC:

Tranquility and Electra watched as Froggy stitched up Silence's leg. The two hedgehogs then helped their sister down from the tree as Froggy joined them. "Si, can you walk?"

"I think so, Tranq..." The albino 'hog winced as she gingerly put her full weight on her injured leg. "I'll do okay. The edge of the forest should be this way..."She pointed north.

"Are you sure we shouldn't just go back to Knothole? We'll be easier to find in this snow," Electra said, glancing warilly around, "Well, me, Tranq and Froggy will be anyway. They'll be better able to track us, too."

"Lec, this was partly your idea, too, y'know. We have to find out if Mom's really - gulp - dead! And Dad..." Tranq brushed hastily at his eyes.

"Yer right. Don't know what came over me just now. Okay, Si, lead on..."

The four mobians made their way carefully northward, trying their best to hide their tracks by walking in places where the trees were too dense to permit snow, as streams were not yet frozen solid enough to permit walking on the ice...

*****

DING! The elevator doors reached the third floor from the top and began to open.

"No! Not HERE!" TJ frantically started pushing the close-door button. No such luck. A human walked in, carrying a stack of cured fox furs.

Alcor and TJ hardly dared to breathe as they clung desparately to the top walls of the elevator. Luckily, the human left several floors down, and the two mobians sunk back to the floor of the elevator, hearts pounding at the close call.

"How - pant, pant - did you know..."

"No mobian lives above the seventh floor. The top seven floors are used by the humans alone. Some floors are for ofices, some are for preparing the furs. The humans that brought me an' Peace here were really sadistic," He pressed a button on the pannel. "They gave us a tour of the top floors before they locked us in our cages." He shuddered at the memory. "All they left out was the other cage-floors and the - gulp - Dungeon as everybody calls it. That's the basement. They said, 'Oh, you'll find out what happens there soon enough,' and grinned darkly at each other."

He continued, "Each of the lower floors holds certain kinds of animals." The felines are on the sixth floor, the wild dogs other than foxes are on the seventh, rabbits are on floor Five, and the foxes are on Four and Three...Hedgehogs are on Two and One...but there aren't many full cages on Two, they were all moved to One. Two is almost empty now, and One is only half-full. I found that out 'cuz the humans often stood near my cage when they tallied up their 'stock.'" He looked down. "They're desparate to get more hedgehogs...They've started going out into the forest to capture them. Apparently, hedgies don't breed well enough for the demand...Alcor...yer gonna haveta be real careful..."

"Heh. Ol' Trapslip can evade those humans well enough...but I will be careful."

DING!

"Well, here we are...third floor. Hold on, Peace, we're comming..." Teej said, gulping, as they cautiously stepped out into the dimly-lit hallway.

Immediatly, Alcor's nose was assaulted by the reek of death, sweat, fear, blood, excrement, and rotting meat and hay. "Whoof...Geez, don't they ever clean the cages in here?!"

"Not until all the occupants of a row have gone to the Knife.... or the breeding tables..."

The kitsune lead them farther into the dismal building, its wet, dirty, windowless passageways lit only by sparsely-placed, flickering lightbulbs. The sounds of crying children, banging cage doors, dripping water, and the occasional sad vibrance of a harmonica further added to the hopeless atmosphere.

They rounded a corner, and the sight that met their eyes was one of every mobians' deepest nightmares. Rows and rows of cieling-high columns of tiny overstuffed cages filled with sad, frightened vulpine faces devoid of all hope or happyness lined the dank and drafty chamber. The cold, wet stone floor was tilted downward between each row into gutters of foul-smelling water that drained into grated holes in the ground. Dirty water from the floor above dripped down onto the horrified hedgehog and his downcast but determined companion.

"You LIVED in this?!"

TJ sighed, "Yeah. And Peace still does, at least unless she..."

"I know. Let's find her and get outa here. I can't believe humans would do this..." He gazed sadly at the caged and desparate foxes, who were straining thier hands out through the bars and pleading for the outsiders' help.

OOC: Oh, okay. Now I understand what you wanted to know.

No, they are not in the same group. Alcor and TJ are infiltrating the fur farm (Nobody else enter there until I finish with a bit more of the story, please.) The triplets and Froggy are making their way north, trying to get out of the forest. I'm not sure where Lucia and Jonah are right now. Rico, I recall you and the young fox were about to encounter Elizabeth and Nana. I think Myth is making his way toward the tree the triplets recently vacated. Hunter has not been introduced yet. Surge and Reni are both missing, presumed dead. And my two hunters are following a false trail made by Froggy (Let's see how long that lasts, wink wink. ;) )

I hope that clears up some of your confusion. Like I said earlier, the Great Forest is just that, great, as in expansive. While each of the groups have the opportunity to run into each other, it's more likely that they won't without a bit of traveling and coincidence.

Hope that helps. :)

OOC: Yeah, that was what I was saying. Most RPs strive to unite the players to one end. We can't very well do that if we're all over the place. I'm not sure if you planned us to be seperated or not. If you have thats fine but nudge the other groups in the direction you want them to go, don't just go save the world and leave the others in the cold.

To Victor: He was? Don't quite remember that part. Oh well.

As far as one group opposed to several...more than one group can work on saving the world in it's own ways. I'm not saying they can't get together in one group, and eventually, they may. I'm just trying to counteract the tendancy several people have had so far to just immediately jump to another area where the action seems to be occuring with little in the way of story to back up how they got there.

And the thing with the fur farm...I'm not forbidding characters from intervening there, just nothing drastic...and not until after an essential part of the story there has been revealed.

I should be ICing in my next post, sometime later tonight. Right now, I have to go and get some dinner...Be back soon...

I don't know if I'm being too controling, and if I am, I'm sorry. I just want the story to progress logically. (There I go again, apollogizing too much...)

OOC: Okay, TV OFF, role-play ON. As far as the kit knowing something...hmm, I'll have to think about that. As far as giving Rico something to do, I'll have to think about that, too, maybe conjure up a random NPC hunter for you to tangle with, eh? Although, y'know I can't controle EVERYTHING in the RP. I do like to see what other plot points other people come up with.

Back to business. Don't want to swamp this in OOCs, now do we?

IC:

"Hold it, Si. I thought I saw something glinting in the path ahead..." Tranq crept forward, carefully disarming a nasty looking trap directly in front of them. He returned with an explosive device that had been rigged to the snare. "Man, that would've been a meanie. One wrong step and...BOOM! This forest is dagerous..."

"What're you gonna do with that?" Electra motioned to the grenade-like explosive that was now cradled carefully in Tranq's hands. The blue and maroon hedgehog was unknowingly learning the same skills his uncle, Alcor, possesed at finding and disarming traps and snares.

"Hmm..." He squinted at the explosive. "Don't know...could come in handy if we run across any more hunters."

"It could also just explode in your hands if you're not careful."

"Good point, Si. But I dunno how we're gonna disarm it, and I can't just throw it into the bushes where the explosion might start a forest fire. We've got enough problems already. No sense adding a raging inferno to the list."

"Do you have a pin?"

"Why?"

"Grenades are armed by pulling out the pin at the top, right?"

"Yeah...but this isn't exactly a grenade...just an explosive similar to one...and no, I don't have a pin."

"Tranq, you dope! We're hedgehogs!" Electra exasperatedly reached up into her ponytail and plucked a quill. "Voila, a pin."

"Clever...That still doesn't solve the problem. This isn't a true grenade, sticking a pin in it won't neccesarily disarm it."

The four mobians looked around, unsure of what to do.

(OOC: I got it...The triplets and Froggy can stumble across Rico and Co. Tranq DOES have his grandpa's speed, so they could be closer to the other group than they realize...That's all I can come up with for now...Onward...)

Tower of Death, Part 3

"Help us, please! TJ, that is you, isn't it?"

"Do I know you?"

"Everybody knows you. The stories spread all over Three of a kitsune that escaped the Knife...Who's your friend."

"Listen, we don't have time for this! I'll rescue you later if I possibly can. Have any of you seen Peace? Gray kitsune, long red ponytail...lots of kids hangin 'round..."

"Oh, her! The humans took her away a little while ago."

"Oh no! I knew it! Which way did they take her?!"

"Up, I think."

Tails, Jr. heaved a relieved sigh. "Then she hasn't been taken to the Knife?"

"No...but I think #203 was..."

"What?! No!"

"Sorry, sonny, 'tis true...we saw t'em carryin 'is skin up t'tha Upper Levels..."

TJ blanched.

"Huh? Who's #203?" Alcor scratched confusedly at an ear.

The orange, cream, and black kitsune looked at the ground. "Peace's oldest. Guess he didn't meet specs for a breeder..."

"Hey, tha rest o' yer sister's brood is over thataway, o' Great Survivor. They should bring yer sis back right soon, and that'd be where they keep her too."

"Please don't call me that..." He brightened somewhat as he followed the old black fox's outstretched hand toward a group of cages at the far end of the corridor. "Thank you...and we'll try to save you if we possibly can...if not...well...we'll come back after Peace is safe..."

"Ah, don' bother 'bout me. I'm old anerways..."

"But..."

"Jest go, save yer sister, an' her kids...They shouldn'ave to grow up in fear..."

TJ and Alco thanked the old fox, still promising to come back for him and the others after they'd finished saving Peace.

Soon, the two would-be heroes stood in front of a cage filled with youngsters, aproximately seven in all, their eyes filled with a fear and hopelessness that chilled the kitsune to his pounding heart. He looked at his companion. The indigo 'hog was trembling with a sad, impotent rage.

"Hey kids...W-where's your mother?"

One of the older kits, a light-cream colored kitsune of approximately 13 years, came up to the bars. "Uncle TJ, is that really you? They said you went to the Knife!" She turned breifly toward Alcor, noddding at him in acknowledgement before returning her gaze to her uncle. "Momma went with the humans to get laid again," she whispered, keeping her voice low so that the younger children wouldn't hear. "They're probably gonna bring her back any time now..." She turned an ear toward the hallway, listening for approaching footsteps. "They're probably gonna move me soon...to another cage so that they can start breeding me, too. Shh, better hide, here they come."

"Where?!" TJ said eyes darting around frantically.

"Hold on," Alcor said, looking up. "It's dark on top of the cages, I bet they won't see us." He took his friend by the hand and jumped. They had just situated themselves, flattened against the cold steel of the cage tops, when the humans rounded the end of the row, leading a battered and very taxed and hopeless-looking Peace by a rusty chain. In her hands, she held a very young child, two years old at the most. Head hung low, she stumbled dispondantly behind the humans as they tugged her chain cruelly, her two gray tails dragging listlessly on the filthy floor.

Alcor and TJ tensed, hoping the humans wouldn't look up.

"Get in thar, vixen!" One of Peace's guards taunted shoving her roughly into the cage with her seven other childern. "That's prob'ly tha last time we'll 'ave ta inject 'er." he said to his companion. "'Bout a year from 'er due date, she can be taken to tha Knife. We've got 'bout enough breedables from 'er as t'is now anyway.

"Now you," he continued, pulling out the half-heartedly struggling cream-colored kitsune, "It's time you moved out of your mother's cage and into your own...but not until we've sewwed you wit seeds of yer own...C'mon..." They threw the chain around the young kitsune's neck and yanked her down the passage way.

"NO! Don't take her! Please!"

"Quiet, you!" The human slapped the desparate outstreched gray-furred hand. "After dem pups is borned, you ain't good for notin but tha Knife, vixen." He laughed and yanked the chain of the young cream kitsune. "C'mon!"

"Nooo..."Peace moaned in a pitiful voice as her eldest daughter was dragged away...

OOC: Finishing where I left off last night. After this, you should be able to join in. Maybe someone is a prisoner trying to escape, or I could alow a small plothole that would get one of the heroes inside.

Also, some story as far as my two hunters are concerned...

IC:

Alcor and TJ watched until the humans were out of sight, and then jumped down from their hiding place.

"TJ?!" Peace turned wide eyes to the creatures on the other side of the bars. "H-how did you get away? I heard someone saying you'd escaped, and I wanted to belive it but...Alcor? What are you doing here?! You'd better get out! If they see you...!"

"Shh...He's here to help me spring you outa here. Peace...I'm sorry I ever got you into this mess..."

"Teej, please don't start that up again...It's not your fault. Y-you guys better get outa here..."

"I'm not leaving without you, sis!"

"But...my children..."

"We'll take them with us!"

"But...there's too many of us! We'll be discovered for sure! Look, TJ, I appreciate the sentiment, but...I'm old-"

"You are NOT! You're no older than me..."

"Teej, please listen. I'm tired. They've been breeding me nonstop...I already have eight children, some of them very young..."

"I told you...we'll take all of them with us!"

"TJ...it's not that simple...I...I'm tired of living like this...I almost can't wait to go to the Knife...At least it will all be over then..."

"Peace, please don't talk like that!"

"I have nothing left to live for...Save my children if you can, but leave me here to die. I...don't think I have enough energy to bare these last children the Masters want me to...Besides, you're out there, and we're in here...the cage is locked..."

"That's where I come in." Alcor stepped forward, producing the balled up wire from the snare he destroyed. Unwinding it, he inserted the end into the lock, jiggling it around until the mechanism released with a sharp "SPROING!"

Peace stared at the open door for a while, dumbfounded, before crawing out...and falling into her twin brother's arms. She turned to her children as they hesitated inside.

After several minutes, they began to file out, the older children helping the younger ones jump the short distance from the cage to the floor.

Alcor looked at them. They huddled together in a pathetic little bunch; each one wore a sad, scared expression on their dirty faces. Each child was as different from the last as they were from their mother, with the exception of two pairs of twins. It truely looked like each child or set of children had had a different father. The youngest was still cradled in it's mother's arms.

Peace looked down. "I never even saw any of their fathers. As far as I know, any or all of them could now be a coat on some human's back..."

"It's not your fault, sis." TJ looked at each child. They were obviously not very healthy. Scrawny and bony, it looked as if the young kitsunes had not had a propper meal their entire lives. Their fur was the only thing about the youngsters that looked at all healthy. Understandable, considering what the humans want with them... TJ thought darkly.

"The Masters never let me name them...They just tatooed a number on each one's ear, and that was that. Then they took #203 away from me...Now he's...he's..."

"I understand. C'mon, Peace, let's get you out of here..."

"Now they take #204 from me...She's gonna have the same kinda life I have..."

"Not if we can help it..."

"They don't have names...They're just #205 through #210...I wish I could have named them...but the Masters wouldn't alow it...They said I'd become too attached..." Peace crumpled to the dirty ground. "This is a horrible place to raise a family..."

"That's why we're getting you out...And we'll find #204 too. Don't worry, Peace, everything will be okay..." Alcor put a comforting hand on the distraught mother's bruised shoulder. "You'll be able to name your kids soon, I promise."

"But...Alcor, you'd better not let the Masters see you..."

******

"Hmm...odd. Ta trail ends right 'ere; there aint no sign of 'em anywheres!" Earl said, studying the ground. "Clyde, I do believe our quarry was clever 'nough to lead ta Great Tracker astray! This's a falst trail we're a'followin!"

"No way!"

"'Tis true. Hmm...a falst trail good 'nough to lead ME on! 'Magine that! I respect 'em for that."

"So...does that mean we're gonna give up an go home?"

"Wrong, m'friend. I'm gonna catch 'em, jest for that. It's suddenly b'come a matta o' pride. They think they c'n outwit me, eh? Well, we'll jest see 'bout that!" Earl shot one of his arrows into a nearby tree for emphasis. "'Sides, I WANT that white hedgie's hide!" He retrieved his arrow.

"D-didn't you say we were gonna sell the skins?"

"And we are, make no m'stake 'bout that. Her belly fur's still gonna be sold, but I want tha rest o' dat hide as a trophy, so's I c'n say I got the beast dat almost outwitted the Great Tracker! Tha furiers got no use fer tha spiny part of the skin. 'Sides, I want dat hide anyways. Whoever that white 'hog is, I want 'er skin on my wall! Heh. Show THAT to his High-an-Mightyness Hunter. I'll show 'im what an 'amateur' I am, huh!"

"How do'ya know it's a female, though?"

"You ask too many questions. I jest do, tha's all. It's a thing 'bout trackin you haven't learned yet. And I ain't perpared ta teach ya yet! So there!"

"I was just askin, sheesh. Don't need to get all defensive bout it..." Clyde muttered under his breath.

With that the two hunters turned around and began retracing their steps...

OOC: I'm just gonna let them sink back into the woodwork for a while. No more with these two until later...:evil

OOC: Oh wonderful....I sense a future sneak attack.:annoyed

If only Froggy could have been at the fur factory....he would have went completely bezerk. Blood flowing on the ground....human heads mounted on pikes...that sort of thing. He has quite a temper when it comes to those things. Oh well....maybe some other day. Those two hunters will have to do eventually....

'That one sure has a temper' Myth thought. He could see the look in Froggy's eyes, it was the same look myth had born himself when he had begun his quest. What was his quest? Bah! he didn't even know any more. But the look was one of pain and anger, the shear blood hatred that had driven Myth to his insanity. When he truly thought about it, Myth realised that he wasn't really insane, just in denial. Ha! who was he kidding, he was mad as a hatter and proud of it.
Myth had been following the unusual bunch for quite some time after they had left the tree. This Froggy bloke was damn good, it had taken myth all of 10minuts to pick up their trail and if it took myth 10 minuets it would take even an experienced hunter a few hours to follow it accurately. He was travelling on the ground now, having gotten sick of talking to the birds that kept taunting him. Unfortunately, he hadn't quite been looking where he was going, having been focused on the group to the left of him. The was a loud snap and myth leaped about a foot into the air, narrowly avoiding the large leg trap as it clamped shut on nothing. Having finished his graceful arc though the air, myth now realised that not only was the party now alerted to his presence, but that he was currently heading gracefully down toward a very well trapped patch of ground.

Only one thing passed though Myths mind at this time and it was a small voice that said: 'Oh Bu**er'

He landed on his finger toe and figger tips, limbs spread eagle to avoid the trap's trip switches. He sied with relief, and then realised that he couldn't move with out setting off the traps. Another small voice reminded him of his cruelty to the kit earlier on: 'Well, well, well! aren't we in the most ironic of predicaments!'
Just then Froggy walked in to the clearing.
Myth looked up at him and smiled, blushing with the shear irony of his situation.
Myth: "Humm.. I'm not quite sure how to go about this but err... help?"

Froggy looks down at Myth and fights to keep from laughing. He fails that fight and busts up right then and there, causing Myth to blush even more.

Froggy: "Sorry...couldn't help myself. Hold on..."

Froggy draws his sword and bats away many of the surounding traps. He sheaths the weapon and lifts Myth back to his feet.

OOC: There's still the issue of the explosive that Tranq is currently handling veeeeery carefully...and has no idea how to deal with. :b

TRANQ: "Uhhhh...*gulp* What am I s'posed to do with this thing anyway?"

Um...Anyway...I may return later with something a little more substantial. Feel free to help Tranqy out in the mean time. :]

TRANQ: *Murderous glare* "Don't call me that..."

Ahem, pay no attention to me...In a weird mood again...

Myth dusted him self off and looked at the mobian that had probably saved his life.
Myth: "Well, that was an interesting experience, and one which I ain't going to repeat anytime soon. Ah! Where are my manners! My name is Tobias. (In a most English voice): "And to whom do I have the honner of owing my life to?"
Froggy smirked again: "The names froggy bud, and these are Tranq, Electa and Silence. There out here looking for there mother apparently"
Myth seared at the group, 'what a motley crew' he thought.
Myth: "Well, I really have done it this time, ho they'll never let me live this down. *sie* I am now in your dept so I'm guessing with the shivery and all I'll have to tag along with ye until I can repay you."
Froggy was slightly confused and was about to tell myth that he didn't need to repay him when myth walked away toward the three hedgies.
Myth looked at Tranq who was slightly shakier than even the injured one, a very slight look of panic in his eyes. Myth realised that the kids fear was well justified as he was holding a very dangerous looking explosive. Myth bent down to the explosives level.
Myth: "Nice Proxy-mine kid, how clever of you to think of trying to disarm it, (leans in closer to whisper in Tranqs ear) not that it is disarmed or anything."
Tranq's eyes opened a little more at the realisation of what he was holding. Myth bent forward and took out a few plastic rods from inside his coat.
Myth: "If I were you, I'd try not to move."
He set to work, very carefully unscrewing the top of the tube and putting the plastic pins into the mechanism inside
Myth: "You see laddy, what you got here is a Proximity mine, and a shoddily armed one at that. You see there are three pins in this and the only reason this didn't go off before you had the chance to spot it was that the second pin hasn't been pulled. Which means that right now your holding two pounds of high explosive C4 that has now has nothing on pin the other two sides to stop it from going off and if it dose go off... well lets just say, there ain't going to be enough fur left on ether of us to make a glove." *CLICK*
The sudden noise almost made Tranq drop the bomb, myth grabbed out at him and clamped his hands over the kids, making sure that Tranq kept a firm grip until he carmed down a little.
Myth: "Don't fret lad, this won't be going off today, I've put another two pins in, that click was the trigger dropping."
Tranq sighed in relief.
Myth: "But I still would not advise droping it. The efects may not be all that helthy"

OOC: My grandfather passed away recently, so I haven't been participating in anything... I'm still hurt and crying... but I'm trying to get relaxed.

IC:
Lucia had been following the group in the dense undergrowth. Now, he saw Myth with the group and decided to reveal himself.

Tranq: o.o

Lucia: I've been following you. I saw those hunters from a long way away. They'll probably be coming back for you, so I'm going to help you.

Electra: oo; I thought Froggy made a false trail...

Lucia: A false trail won't work for long. Let's get away from here before they come back.
Silence looked at him as if trying to say something. Lucia shook his head.

Lucia: Let's move.

Before Lucia can do anything else, he finds Froggy's blade at his throat.

Froggy: "Excuse me, but what do you think you're doing, barging in on us and commanding us what to do....human? You better start giving me some good reasons for not killing you on the spot. I'm sure there are some good humans out there. After all, there are always exceptions to the rule, but I'm yet to find one. So no offense if you are....but I'm not going to trust you, and I sure as Hell am not going to let you lead us. You think we're stupid? Think we'll just follow you into some possible death trap so you can just take what you want of us? Not going to happen."

Froggy takes some deep breaths to calm himself down. Keep a clear head....

Things are quickly spiriling out of control. Two people have shown up within the last couple minutes, and he didn't even know that they were coming. His teachers would probably give him a beating...if they were still alive.

Myth seems a little on the crazy side, not an unusual state in this insane world, but trustworthy. The human....well Froggy stated his views on him clearly.
