E-102, designated as "Gamma," launched a final missile from its right arm's cannon at his "brother," a black and white robot known as E-101 "Beta." The damaged robot fell to the deck of the Egg Carrier, and it sparked as it laid there.

Gamma landed, the hover pod module floating behind him as his lanky legs touched down. He paused, his round visual receptors scanning Beta as he approached. Beyond the battle scene, the waves of the ocean lapped against the scuttled airship, now floating uselessly in the water. But unlike the movement from the water, there was no motion from the battered robot in front of him. He stepped closer, reaching out with his left arm's three-fingered hand to the panel on the chest of the robot...

Beta launched itself up and fired a point-blank shot at Gamma's red and white chest, throwing him backward with the explosive burst that caught both robots. Gamma was critically damaged, and somehow he knew that his brief existence was about to end as he fell back onto the deck. He hardly registered the explosion of the other robot, and of the bird that flew from the shattered remnants of Beta. The bird looked down at Gamma, and it flew off towards the sea.

Memories passed by Gamma's vision as he laid there...of seeing his creator, Dr. Eggman, at the start of his "life"...of capturing the frog from the beach...of seeing the pink hedgehog girl who had so valiantly defended the bird in her care, of seeing that bird who awakened Gamma's heart...and of coming to the realization that he needed to change his mission parameters to rescue his robot brethren.

And he had done it. He had become free of Eggman's programming, had rescued the birds trapped inside each of the other robots, including Beta. He had accomplished his mission. And now his existence was ending...

Rescue operation...complete.

Gamma lost all sense, and his shell exploded, leaving only a bird in the wreckage to join its fellow and to fly off.

-------

System boot. Core processor online. Reinitilialization complete. System check, complete. Mobility restored.

Sensors online.

Gamma looked up at an open sky, and for a moment was confused by the incoming data as a bird flew overhead. His vision was framed by leaf-covered tree branches in a circle around him.

"Does not compute," he said to himself, his masculine but emotionless voice emanating from his structure as he reached out with his arms and pushed himself to a sitting position. He was in the middle of a clearing in a forest, brown trees with green leaves surrounding him. And in this clearing, he sat in the middle of a field of flowers, brightly colored with whites and blues and greens and mixtures between the three.

"Scanning memory," said Gamma as his computer systems checked through his memory banks for an explanation of this unusual phenomenon. But try as he might, he could not discover any memory that explained how he had come to this location. Nor was there any sign of the battle damage that he had received in his final fight against Beta.

"More data is required," he concluded. He pushed himself up to his feet, his long arms hanging at his sides as he sweeped the area with his sensors, his golden-hooded head rotating around on his robotic torso.

And he stopped immediately, his head pointed directly backwards as he detected a human female standing there, a woven wicker basket in her hands. Her hair had a green tint to it and was tied into a braid behind her head with a pink ribbon. She wore a pink dress, sturdy-looking brown boots, and a short-sleeved jacket.

"Oh, hello there. I'm sorry if I startled you," said the woman with a soft smile.

Gamma swung the rest of his body around, keeping his sensors locked onto the woman. He registered that she did have a weapon strapped to her back, but it appeared to be a simple metal rod, and she was not making any potentially hostile movements. In fact, judging by her relaxed stance, she was quite unafraid and not concerned for her safety.

The robot was unsure how to proceed. He had limited social experience, and after such a confusing episode of memory loss, he did not want to end his existence again so quickly. At least until he found some answers.

"Can you talk?" asked the woman.

"Affirmative," answered Gamma, his programming satisfied by the direct request for information.

"Oh! That's good. My name is Aeris...what's yours?"

"E-102 'Gamma.'"

"Glad to meet you, Gamma," chirped the woman with a friendly giggle. "You must be a new arrival. I haven't seen you around Gate Town before." She turned and began to walk away, then looked over her shoulder and nodded back at Gamma. "Follow me, I'll take you there!"

Gamma didn't understand what this "Aeris" meant by "Gate Town" or about Gamma being a "new arrival." This reinforced his previous conclusion that he required more data before he could discover what had happened to him and just where he was now. And to acquire more data, it appeared the best course of action was to follow Aeris to this Gate Town.

"Acknowledged," replied Gamma as he stepped after Aeris, and the two of them walked along a path through the forest until they exited the trees. Then they continued to follow the path to a small town at one edge of a valley, a town that housed other people...

-------

OOC: Now that you've read through the opening sequence, here's the situation. In this RP, you play as characters from video games, animes, cartoons, and movies. The one restriction, however, is that the character must have died in the game/anime/cartoon/movie/other media that he/she/it appeared in. The two characters that I have picked to start us off, for example, are E-102 Gamma from Sonic Adventure, and Aeris Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII.

Now, there are obviously some cases where a character may have died and come back, multiple times in some genres. This RP is open primarily to those characters who actually died and did not come back. Also, villain characters may be selected, however they should appear in their normal forms and not in any super-powered forms that they may have. This also applies to all other characters. Please, no fan-characters, only official characters. If there are any questions, please ask.

The general point of this RP is to see how these different characters from different genres would react and interact with each other if, after they died, they somehow reappeared in another world and established a town. Gate Town is filled with characters from other universes who have also died. You may decide that your character has already lived in Gate Town for a while and knows Aeris already, or that your character is also a new arrival. Feel free to expand on the town and any potential problems that the people here have to face or the sorts of lives that they lead. Aeris is supposed to be more of an NPC, so feel free to use her as appropriate.

(OOC: This is a really interesting idea, and I've been racking my brains to think of a character that I could use, but I'm afraid my computer game experience is limited when it comes to RPGs and Platformers (I generally prefare Racing games and Simulations). Because of this, I'm afraid the best I can come up with is Tidus from FFX, but you already have an FF character. Would Tidus be alright to use, or should I try to think of someone different?)

(OOC: Tidus works fine. You can use a character from just about any cartoon, anime, heck even movie or video game as you like. If limiting yourself to anime and video games doesn't bring to mind any good ideas, you can turn to other media for character ideas, even books.)

OOC: I'm game for this. :)

IC:

His eyes set upon his target, he pushed the mechanical chariot forward.

"I'm sorry that I have brought trouble upon you all. Even though I was controlled by the Empire, I'm going to make amends for the things I have done to all of you!"

He thrusted the mech forward, heading towards the Great Destructor. Turning towards him, the feindish creature raised a hand. The last thing the warrior heard was the desperate scream of a young girl over the radio.

"No! Green, come back!"

--------------------------------

".......Ungh......."

Cold concrete lay beneath Green, his body feeling weak and drained of all energy. Had he suceeded? Had the Great Destructor been destroyed?

"...Is.... Is it... over?" He managed weakly. "... Is this... Is this... death?"

OOC: Introduction post, and an opportunity for someone else to jump in.

OOC: Sounds like fun. X3

IC:
Soldiers ran across the battlefield, and the two sides clashed with one another. Green and red, the colours representing the two sides, collided and mixed with one another.

"C'mon, let's go!" A voice shouted out. A man with spiked hair, rode on the back of a horse. Red bandana was tied around his head. "All units, charge! Take them down! Yeah!" The bells upon his necklace rang as his horse galloped forward into the battle.

Spearmen units brought up their weapons, and charged forward at an oncoming charge of cavalary. Firearrows were sent in waves over the heads of the soldiers. The battle was messy and bloody. Corpses were strewn across the battlefield.

The man on horseback just charged through the enemy, bringing up his sword, and slashing it down across the troops. "Hyaah!"

The battlefield was Yi Ling, in ancient China. Gan Ning, an ex-pirate, was now the commander of a unit for the Kingdom of Wu, in the Three Kingdoms Era. The Wu Army was facing off against the Kingdom of Shu.

Gan Ning leapt off his horse, and he hit the ground running. He had taken a couple of hits, and blood was coming from his lip. He could feel himself physically drained, but he'd give this battle his all. "Argh!" He yelled out, and dashed forward with a burst of speed, holding his sword out to the side, and cutting down enemy soldiers. He could see their commanding officer dead ahead of him, and he was getting closer.

The commanding officer of the enemy platoon, ShaMoke, brought up his bow, and pulled back on the arrow, targeting the approaching Gan Ning, hearing the bells chime over the sounds of battle. If he was unlucky, he'd be cut down, but he had faith in his Elite Guard.

Gan Ning grit his teeth. ShaMoke's guards were in the way, and he wouldn't be able to get close enough to him. He went straight at the first one, and then circled ShaMoke. That's when he realised his mistake. He now left himself exposed to the enemy, he attempted to look towards ShaMoke, but a sudden, sharp impact to the side of his head prevented him from doing that. His world went black, as his body fell to the side, collapsing against a tree.

-----

OOC: Okay, Gan Ning, taken from the Dynasty Warriors series of video games. That's the scene where he dies, at least, taken from the context of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novels.

-----

Gan Ning lay on the ground, clutching his head where he had been struck by the arrow. Except, the pain wasn't there. He opened his eyes, and he was facing the ground, laying upon cold concrete.

"...Is this... Is this... Death?" He had heard someone ask.

Gan Ning blinked, as he still lay on the ground. Didn't sound like anyone he knew. He lifted himself up, and sat cross-legged. He scratched at his head, as the balls on him chimed lightly with his movement. "Man, I hope not." He'd answer the voice, who just happened to be behind him. "Otherwise, this sucks."

(OOC: Books too? Hmm...well that opens it up a bit^^

Okay in that case, I'm gonna go for a character from the Stone trilogy by Graham Edwards (awesome books if anybody gets to read them!), an evil dragoness called Archan.

Small note, in those books, magic is a physical, liquid substance, called "Charm"...that's what I'll be refaring to in this post. Also, Dragons refare to Humans as "Faeries". Guess I should put a bit of a spoiler warning in too, although I'll try not to give too much of the books away in case anyone wants to read them.)

In a clearing nearby the other two newcomers, the quiet, tranquil atmosphere of the forest was suddenly rent in two by a loud, inhuman shreik, something between the roar of a tiger and the screech of an eagle! In the clearing, a large figure lept up from the ground where it had been lay, writhing around as though fighting off unseen enemies! It was a curious shape, a long, serpantine body, extremely smooth and clean-shaped, unbroken by harsh angles and appendages. The only limbs were a thin pair of legs, with sharp, claw-like talons on the end, and a large pair of batlike wings, almost disproportionately large for the creature's body. It didn't even have any eyes or nose, only a thin slit of a mouth graced it's smooth head, packed with a row of razor-sharp teeth that glinted in the sun. The creature's skin was a pure, irridescent white, smooth and streamlined, and surprisingly soft.

She had made sure of that on purpose. Throughout her life, she had constantly used her Charm skill to reshape her body, removing her forelegs, gouging out her own eyes when her Charm sences surpassed them in usefulness...all for one reason: manipulation. The Dragon males of her home found her sleek, streamlined form irresistable, so sensual that they would do anything for her. Many had fallen to her wiles, and she had loved the feeling of power it had given her as she lured them to her home, toying with them, and eventually killing them...

But this was not her home, and her Charm sences told her that there were no Dragons around at present. She stopped thrashing around, slowly calming as her mind began to take control again. Just where was she???

The last thing she remembered was plunging from the summit of Stone, that strange between-world created by the Basillisks to store the memories of Earth. She had been struggling with her sister after being tricked by...Jonah...Jonah Lightfoot! Her blood burned in fury as she remembered the red-haired Faerie! He had fooled her, tricked her into giving up the immortality she had stolen from the Basillisks, then she had plumeted over the edge of Stone...

...to her death...

...so where was she now?

She looked around again, a slight smile seeping onto her almost featureless face.So she wasn't dead after all! She didn't know where she was, but she had survived, even without the immortallity that had been so violently stripped from her! And as long as she lived, there was still a chance of getting it back, of becoming the controller of Stone and by extension, Earth, and getting even with that insolent Faerie who dared to deny her power! Yes, he had won the battle, but she would win the war!!!

But first, she had to find out just where she was. Had she somehow been pulled through a gap in stone into one of the timeframes on Earth? That seemed the most logical explanation. She would have to explore though, to find out more. Maybe there were people here who she could exploit, to enable her to return to the other world and exact her revenge.

She took a deep breath, and her smile became a wide grin. Charm existed here too, it would seem...she could taste it's scent in the air. At least she would have no shortage of power in this place, wherever it was.

She steeled her magics ready for use, just in case. Now that she was no longer immortal, she would have to take more care that she had become accustomed to, but it should be no problem. Slowly she spread her wings and lept into the clear sky, preparing to scout out the landscape from high above, to find out more about this strange world she had arrived in...

Samus charged at the Omega Metroid, firing shots as rapidly as possibly. But to no avail. The Omega Metroid swiped at her with amazing accuarcy. She fell back, and the creature advanced. She resigned herself to her fate. She closed her eyes as the creature lifted its arm again...

The creature shreiked and retrated for a moment. Samus opened her eyes to see the SA-X charging past her, firing rapidly into the chest of the beast, but the beast swung again, this time at the SA-X, destroying both its "Human" form and the outer shell of it's true form. She wasted only a moment wondering what had just happened before she jumped forward to regain the last of her lost powers...

SSSSSSSSSysTEm ChchcheCK: LifLifLifLife sup-p-p-port 067NLINE. W3EeaP9N SISTERM ERRORERROEROEROEOOROOEOROEORERRREO...
A human, yet horribly unhuman scream filled the air. Thoughts, fragments of thoughts, questions, answers, pictures, momories, and theories all flooded the SA-X's head at once. It screamed again, this time louder. It seemed to sit and pant for a moment. It's thoughts were stilll jumbled, but at least now they were jumbled correctly. The human part of it was pulling out and organising things while the virus was making sense of them.
It looked down at it's left hand with a mixture of human emotions and a parasite's understanding of the way things worked. The human part of it wondered how it was alive. The parasite part didn't care. It looked up at the infinately bright yellow ball in the sky. A star. A medium sized one. It detected water vapor in the air. It was surrounded by plants.

Life

The parasite part of itself attempted to spawn more X-parasites from itself. But the human part fought back with a fury the X hadn't even detected in the Omega Metroid. THe parasite was repressed to a mental cage.

"I... am... Samus... Aran..."

OOC:

I'd just like to explain why I portray the SA-X as I do here. Those of you who don't want to hear my theory on Metroid Fusion, skip this. ALSO SPOILERS ON METROID FUSION. I really started think on my second playing of the game, right after stopping the X from destroying the place with self destruct. More specificly, when the computer said, "Possibly to prevent you from destroying X on other planets...?" I was thinking 'Why then, did the SA-X attack the Omega Metroid First, instead of finishing off Samus and THEN killing the Metroid. It only would have taken a shot.'
After many discussions with my freinds I came to a conclusion. Because Samus would have wanted to destroy the Omega Metroid, and the X did realise it was an immediate threat, even tough destroying Samus was it's main directive up 'till then. Meaning Samus' Copied mind did have SOME control.

END SPOILERS AND THEORY.
Plus, you took Gamma, Terg! ;_;

OOC: WOW! This is a fantastic set-up, Terg! Really fantastic! I applaud you.

The character I have chosen, through a fantastic game of Character Roulette, is none other than...

Archer, of the anime Fate/Stay Night. Kinda obscure, I guess, but I'll try my best to explain... unless that's not needed. But, better safe than sorry. The abridged version:

Archer is a Servant, a reincarnated warrior summoned in an event called the Holy Grail War. He is the reincarnation of the series' main protagonist, Emiya Shirou, and serves the main character's friend and ally, a girl named Tohsaka Rin. He is an exceptional ranged fighter, but can also participate in close combat rather efficiently. His class (Archer) also grants him amazing eyesight, allowing him to see great distances. His most amazing ability, however, is "tracing". Similair to Alchemy, it allows Archer to craft any weapon he has seen before and learn its fighting style. The weapon, however, will never equal the original in terms of quality and power, as minute flaws occur during the tracing process. Archer's most powerful ability is his "Reality Marble", which generates an area in which Archer has crafted an unlimited number of weapons. These weapons can then be transfigured into arrows, and fired at the foe. Archer's death scene is as follows:

IC: Archer had run out of options. Berserker was incredibly strong, too strong for Archer alone, and even one hit from that massive obsidian blade of his would rip several Servants in half. Archer had managed to buy enough time for Rin and the others to escape... Maybe they would defeat Berserker. Hopefully. Having killed the lumbering giant of a Servent only five times, Archer knew he didn't have enough strength to accomplish seven more deaths. Berserker's Noble Phantasm, "God Hand", granted him a life for every one of the twelve heroic labors he had accomplished as the demigod Heracles...

This was not his day. Archer stood, his twin Chinese swords rematerializing in his hands. He began the chant that would signal his demise, ignoring the pain that threatened to overcome him...

"I am the bone of my sword.
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.
I have created over a thousand blades.
Unknown to death.
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, these hands will never hold anything.
So as I pray, 'Unlimited Blade Works.'"

Berserker's Master, Illyiasviel von Einzbern, watched in amazement as the foyer of her manor was transformed into an expansive field littered with a countless number of weapons. Archer spoke, blood dripping from several points on his body...

"What you are facing is an unlimited number of blades. Can you overcome that... Heracles?"

Illyia laughed in her innocent little voice.

"The little Archer thinks he can overcome my Berserker? You've finally snapped! Berserker! Crush him."

Berserker rushed Archer, who grasped a long, golden blade. As the blade became a long, golden arrow, Archer smiled. Was this resignation he was feeling? As he felt the massive, jagged edge of Berserker's weapon sink into his shoulder, he almost laughed. Was he actually at peace? As he felt his body deteriorate into nothing, the last of his mana leaving him, her face flashed before his eyes... And he knew that everything was as it should be.

"Saber..."

****

Archer awoke, sitting on a bough of incredibly green leaves. Death was not new to him, but he knew that this time it was permanent. He would never be reincarnated again. His time as a Servant was over... He sighed and let his head fall back. For a moment, everything was quiet... Then, a horrible wail snapped him out of his reverie. Archer sat up and looked around for the source of the otherworldy scream. As he did so, he began to realize something... This was not Avalon, the Land of Golden Apples, the land where fallen Heroic Souls reside. This was... different. He had hoped to see her again... Archer became worried. He got up, noticing that his swords were still at his sides... He began to stride towards the sound, his keen eyes scanning the dense vegetation, the back of his neck tingling oddly...

OOC: Wow. It's really been awhile. I hope the fact that he was reincarnated once is OK, Terg; though technically, after he had died as Emiya Shirou, he was no longer Emiya Shirou but Archer instead. If that made any sense.

Oh, also, if it helps: The wikipedia article for Archer, detailing his Noble Phantasms (and anything else about F/SN for that matter, heh.)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arc...y_Night%29

I really look forward to this, Terg! Happy RPing!

OOC: Apologies, but I won't even be able to touch this RP until I get back from NY this weekend. Thanks for your great character entries though, and I look forward to getting to this after I get back.

In the meantime, keep going insofar as you can, and I'll try to make up for this.

As soon as the words left her mouth, she realised the truth. She was merely a copy of Samus, created by unnatural means.

System Errors Fixed. All systems: Online

But if I'm alive... then... the real Samus...

Lifeform Detected. Threat level low.

She turned her head in the direction indicated by the visor. There was someone coming out into the small clearing she was in...

OOC: I guess that's my cue?

IC: Archer continued to push through the dense vegetation of the forest, marvelling at just how GREEN it was. There wasn't a single dead leaf in sight. Suddenly, the forest gave way to a small clearing, in which Archer saw what looked like a red-and-yellow armored warrior.

"Hm. So I see I'm not as alone as I thought I was."

Archer strode towards the warrior, appearing nonthreatening but ready to raise a defense at any moment... The warrior appeared at lost as Archer, judging from "his" posture. Archer cautiously approached, not wanting to make any sudden movements, for this warrior looked quite formidable...

OOC: I haven't read through everything, but I will. For now, I will lay claim to the anime/manga character, Sieghart. He's from Groove Adventure Rave (he did die in the manga. The anime ended at book 12 but the manga continues after.)

Sieghart is an extremely powerful magic user, but he can hold his own with a sword as well. He does not require the usage of incantations to utilise his magic, meaning he can instantly create fireballs and the like. Of course, there is a limitation. He can only use one kind of magic at a time, and he cannot use others until he is ready to cast another spell. Also, overuse of magic will tire him out, and eventually he will be too exhausted to fight. However, in most cases in the manga, his opponents are beaten before they can force him into that state.

Any magic weapons or spells are useless against him, unless the user possesses more power than he does, or he is caught off-guard. He is not associated with any elemental type as well. As long as it has to do with magic or sorcery, he is next to invulnerable. His main weakness is non-elemental weapons like bullets, arrows and plain metal swords.

He can also amplify his magic power by drawing a special magic formation over an area, but it also amplifies the magic power of everyone else in there. Also, it takes a very long time to create the formation.

IC:

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp A blue-haired man awoke, lying in tall grass. He brought both hands to his face and looked at them. What the How can I be alive? How He got up, and adjusted the position of his derriere so that his white coat would not tear. Along the seams of all his clothing ran two black lines.

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp He adjusted his boots, and ensured that his trousers were bloused over them so that they would not be dirtied. I dont understand I I died.

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp He stood up and looked around, but none of the terrain seemed familiar to him at all. Ive never seen this place. This cant be Luca, Symphonia or the Rareglove Kingdom It cant be Median either. Where is this place?

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp He lifted his hands slightly, so that his palms faced the sky. Moments later, he rose from the ground. Once he reached an altitude that satisfied him, he simply looked all around the place.

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Nothing No landmarks I recognise. I am still confused How can I still be alive? He muttered to himself as he flew about. Hmm? Something caught his eyes. A town! Excellent. A place to gather information. He dove down, heading straight for the first sign of civilisation.

The blue-haired Human did not escape the watchful gaze of the Dragon flying above...such was Archan's attentiveness to her situation, she spotted the figure the moment he breached the treetops. So, there were Faeries here too...curses, was no world free of their hateful influence??? Wait, there was a paradox though...this Faerie was apparently skilled in Charm usage, as he was flying without wings, and she could sence the aura of power radiating from him, yet he shouldn't have been. It was only the Faeries of her time, in their 20 centemeter high, butterfly-winged forms, that had been skilled in wielding Charm! As they had grown, losing their wings and evolving into the creatures that now called themselves "Humans", they had lost their Charm sence, and became unable to wield the power they had once posessed. So how could this Faerie, obviously one of the later evolved generations, cast spells?

She would find out in due course. Right now it wasn't really that important...what mattered was finding out where she was, and this Faerie would assist her in that...wether he wanted to or not...

Folding her long wings slightly, she dived down out of the cloudless sky like a white bullet, long tail trailing out behind her as she lanced down towards the canopy and the small figure above it. She whooshed by Sieghart at incredible speed, the wind desturbance from her passing spinning him round and almost blowing him into the treetops with it's power! Archan laughed to herself as she swooped upwards and arced round for another pass. No matter their evolutionary state or nature, Faeries were fun to harass!

As the man regained his balance in the air, she swooped down again, dive-bombing him like a sparrow attacking a hawk when it's nest is threatened. As she approached, she looked carefully for the fear in the man's eyes, the look of terror on his features that made the effort worthwhile. Faeries were not worth a breath without the play value...and this one had better be afraid or she would tear him to pieces for not entertaining her!

Again she blasted past the man, the sharp leading edge of her long wings raking his back with the closeness of her flight! She laughed again as she spread her wings, beginning to circle the man slowly, like a lion stalking prey. "Faerie!" she called in her bold, harsh voice. "Listen to me carefully...I am now your master! You will do as I say or you will be destroyed. Tell me, what land is this? What place is it that has over-evolved Faeries that can wield Charm like their ancestors?"

OOC:
I'm just being a little nitpicky here, but Sieg's a cool guy. WAY cool. He doesn't show too much expression, so he feels very strong emotions as a result. He only speaks when he feels a need to, also. S'all okay though. Any human would be pretty freaked out at such a sight. ^^

IC:

"I know not what you speak of, and I do not know where this place is," he replied plainly. "I am slave to no one."

"Hah!" The dragon scoffed. "You will obey me, or die!"

"We shall see about that." Just as he said that, claws came his way, but he nimbly thrust himself backwards. The swipe added to the effect, pushing him slightly further back than he had expected to go. Hmm. Powerful.

"I will tear you limb from limb!" The dragon swooped towards Sieghart, who calmly opened his hand, his palm facing the dragon. She advanced at unprecedented speed for her size, but veered to the side as a blast of bright green light came her way. Good! This one is worth the effort to toy with and kill!

"You cannot hope to kill me."

"Man, I hope not. Otherwise, this sucks." Came a voice from behind Green.

Pushing himself to his feet, Green turned to look at the owner of the voice.

"So..." Began Green, running his hand through his dark, spikey hair. "Am I to beleive that you are not from this area?"

OOC: lol understood Vic, but notice I never actually said Sieg was showing said emotion, only that Archan was looking for it^^ He might not have been showing it.

No time for Ic right now, will do soon.

EDIT IC:

Insolent Faerie...

He was powerful though...those skills were impressive! And she was no longer immortal...she had almost forgotten that in the excitement of the fight.

Perhaps there was a use for this one after all. She had no love of the annoying creature, but his power was, she had to admit (with a great sence of anger), very impressive, and to go against him as things stood could be somewhat risky. Just how did a Faerie gain the Charm control of a Dragon anyway???

But perhaps she could use this one, convince him to join her on her mission. Together the two of them would be unstoppable! And then, when the mission was complete and she had found her way back to Stone and reclaimed the immortality rightfuly hers, she could eliminate him with ease! He would have outlived his usefulness, and she would be unable to die once again.

She paused her flight, coming to a hover as her eyeless head stared down at the figure floating a little way below. She was tempted to try and take over his mind, use him as a pawn and give him no choice to serve her, but she doubted she would be able to hold him for more than a few minutes with his resistance. No, it was time to use her other skills against this curious enemy, ones she had had almost equal practice in.

"Impressive!" Her serpantine mouth curved into a leer as she slowly beat her wings to maintain height. "I admit, Fearie, your powers are extremely refined...and coming from me that is more of a complement than you could ever know! Perhaps there is no reason to kill you after all...perhaps we could accomplish more...together...?" She slowly allowed herself to begin drifting down towards the man, not actually flapping her wings now, but using her Charm to stay aloft as she came closer. It was easy to get others do do as you wanted them provided you pulled the right strings, and she waited for the man's responce, listening carefully so she would know what to say next to gain his trust...

"I decline." His face was expressionless as usual. "I am a guardian of [Time]. My purpose is to do whatever it takes to preserve the flow of [Time]; to ensure no changes in history or the future are made."

"Perhaps, we could do that together," suggested the dragon.

"No." He flatly declined once more, still floating where he was, keeping his eyes on the dragon in case she decided to strike. "As it is, my existence is an abomination to the preservation of [Time]. I should be dead. I will find out the reason, and I will act accordingly. My sole purpose is to preserve [Time]."

What was all this talk about [Time]?! Her impatience mounted, but she knew it would not be wise to fight with Sieghart. Even if she did win, she would certainly be badly wounded. She opened her mouth to speak...

OOC:
This looks like a fun idea. I'm gonna attempt at joining this with one of the characters from the Guilty Gear series of games, the only one thus far to have actually been killed off: Commander Gear Justice.

IC:
Justice paused, regaining her breath. This human was strong, no doubt about it. The Immoral Flame simply stared back at her, no emotion in his eyes, but a look of contempt on his face. Then something about him caught her eye, as the headband he'd been wearing had been damaged and cracked in their battle... revealing...
That mark on your forehead... you're a Gear, aren't you? she growled, almost triumphantly. Sol made no response to this remark. Justice straightened up to her full 7' 7" height. A surviving human Gear that I was unaware of. Now this is interesting... Very well! Join with me and revel in destruction! she ordered, engaging her Commander Gear abilities. The human looked back at her for a few seconds, then without a word, leapt at her and struck a mighty blow with his sword. Justice reeled back half in pain and half in shock.
You...! Why do you disobey my orders?! she uttered. She had never encountered another Gear that wouldn't obey her unquestioningly. Finally Sol spoke.
You can ponder that in Hell! he yelled. And that was the last thing she heard...

Justice's golden eyes flicked open. Her first feeling was one of confusion, for unless she was mistaken, Sol Badguy and the other surviving Knights of the Sacred Order had just killed her... So what was going on here?
She looked down at her chest. Nope, no huge gaping wounds... in fact, no scratches or dents to her exo-armour at all. Justice found this odd, because last time she had checked, there had been a number of nicks and scratches all over. She carefully hauled herself to her feet, her propulsion system whirring to life as she did so, allowing her to stand easily at her full height. Small bolts of energy started crackling off her lower half, as was usually the case when her hover system was engaged. She looked around at her surroundings. A forest... it looked similar to... no, she pushed that thought from her mind, a number of factors coming together at the same time. This couldn't be Wicked Forest. Sol had killed her, she knew that. So the only logical explanation, therefore...
This... is the afterlife... she mused. Well... at least the surroundings are better than that sickening dimensional prison. The very thought of that place where she had been sealed for so many years got to her, and she lashed out in frustration. Her long sharp fingers shaped themselves into her Michael's Sword, and she slashed through a nearby tree. A small cloud of steam erupted from the space between the two large plates of armour on her chest. She looked around again, and noticed in one direction the trees seemed to thin out, leading to what seemed to be the edge of this forest. The booster between her shoulders kicked into life, and she jetted off through the forest toward the clearing, her long red hair billowing out behind her...
TBC

OK, bit of info on Justice. She was a wickedly strong boss in the awesome fighting game Guilty Gear: The Missing Link, and she was later brought back in Guilty Gear XX: #Reload as a bonus character, along with her story in the game's story mode to explain exactly what happened to her between Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear X. Basically, she's a 7' 7" tall "Gear", a meld of man and machine. Look here for a reference. (Bear in mind I don't entirely agree with the article: in XX it seems to me as though in the Story mode that's when Justice is killed, so I'm going with that.) Justice is from roughly around 2175. Something you can't see from the picture on the Wiki article is that she has a long pointy tail as well, and an angled blue spike lower down her torso near her legs. Here's a decent reference pic of her. I think that's all that's needed now. ^^

Hohoho.

*has an eeevil idea...*

IC:

NOOO! I cannot die....

"Silver Crystal Power!!"

No....that light.....that.........

...................where....?

"Hello!"

Where....!!

"I'm Aeris! Nice to meet you!"

No....take me back....!!

"Let me fix you some tea."

NO!!

Memories of her arrival were burned into her memory. Nothing could get rid of the cheerful face of Aeris from her mind as she sat inside the tiny one bedroom house that was to be her eternal abode.

"....Brat." Long white hair cascaded down from the crown of the shadow's hair, all the way to her feet, and even beyond that. "How she annoys me. Her laugh, her eyes.....her power. Such a disgusting creature."
"I hhope you don't mean me."

Crimson eyes slowly looked up from the shadows as the door opened. She stood, her hair as black as her companion's hair was white, her shoulders covered by a mink stole. As the white-haired woman stood, it was shown that both had skin as white as alabaster, and were extremely tall - the black-haired woman was over 7 feet tall, and the white-haired woman was not far behind. In general, both their statures were formidable and frightening.

"Jadis." The white-haired woman's voice was flat. "You returned."
"I have no reason to leave, Apsu." The woman named Jadis' laugh was harsh. "I am, after all, dead."
"Aren't we all."

Apsu, the white-haired woman, went to say something else, but her thoughts were interrupted by her coughs. She was forced to sit back down in the shadows to recover herself.

"I was..." she managed to gasp. "So close...."
"Damned children." Jadis scornfully sat down next to her. "We were ageless. Then we were killed. There is no justice there."
"And yet there are those who revel in death." Apsu's red eyes flashed. "Those with power who don't appreciate it. Will not use it for the proper things...."
"...I think I know where you are going with this." At this, Jadis stood once more, cloak in hand. "Here. Let us take a walk. Perhaps we'll see her."
"....Yes." A wicked smile came on Apsu's face. "Perhaps."

At this, the two women went out, Apsu leaning on Jadis' shoulder. Two women, from different worlds, different dimensions, with different powers. Two women, all different, except for one thing.

Their capacity for evil.

OOC:

PROFILES:

NAME: Apsu
ALIAS: The Shaman, Apsu-sama
CANON: Sailor Moon: Another Story (Video game)
AGE: Unknown; at least 5,000 years old
HEIGHT: 6'7
WEIGHT: Unknown
EYES: Crimson red
HAIR: White
RACE: Mercurian, though this is conjecture
POWER/STRENGTHS: Time travel/alteration (negated upon death); power boosts to others and herself; energy blasts, the most powerful called Hell's Sun and Fin de Siecle; physically imposing and psychologically dominant with some mind-control powers. Also known to control elements and inanimate objects from very long distances, even in deep outer space
WEAKNESSES: Suffers from a mysterious coughing ailment which can suddenly render her completely helpless at any time; usually cannot be around certain items of magic or characters (particularly the Silver Crystal, even though it is part of the cure, and Sailor Moon) without being severely weakened or possibly killed (or in the death land, put into complete soul stasis from which it takes a great deal of time to be revived from). Can underestimate opponents, though not in the way Jadis does.
QUICK BIO: Apsu is a mysterious, but ruthless, adversary. Her sole desire is power, and the ability to overcome her illness, and is willing to destroy anyone in her way. In life, she attempted to obtain the Silver Crystal by altering time at verious points, but was ultimately unsuccessful. Currently, she is in the afterlife, living in Gate Town, hating every minute of it and desiring a way to break free. In this, she's teamed up with Jadis to work towards that goal.

NAME: Jadis (The best book version image I could find :/)
ALIAS: The White Witch, Former Queen of Narnia, Former Queen of the World of Charn
CANON: The Chronicles of Narnia
AGE: Unknown; at least 1,000 years
HEIGHT: Around 7'3
WEIGHT: Unknown
EYES: Emerald green
HAIR: Coal black
RACE: Charnian (half Giant, half Djinn)
POWERS/STRENGTHS: Can easily turn people to stone (partially negated upon destruction of wand), can evoke very powerful spells upon the elements and on living and non-living objects, can summon various demonic forces to her at whim, has supernatural strength and sorcerous voice, and it is possible that she can return to life *and has done this at least once) in other forms with various other powers (due to eating an apple that made her effectively immortal). Her most powerful spell is The Deplorable Word
WAEKNESS: Is unable to withstand any spiritually pure environments, objects or people without it drastically affecting her; her magic, while powerful, may not even work at all in certain places or in certain environments (such as in a dimensional crossroad or in less magically inclined worlds). Is haughty and vain almost to the point of fault.
BRIEF BIO: Jadis is a well-known villain, hated and feared throughout her lifetime. A destroyer of planets, a despotic tyrant, and the (tenuous) hangman of the Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea, Jadis is truly evil and enjoys destruction and misery. Unfortunately, her centuries-long reign in Narnia was cut short by the messianic lion, Aslan, and she was sent to Gate Town. She managed to ressurect herself, returning to Narnia in a new form called the Emerald Witch, but this form, too, was destroyed. Jadis, though looking for a way to go back again, has forged an alliance with Apsu and must take her into consideration - whether or not she wants to.

In reverse order of appearance.

As if its needed, One.

And to mix things up a bit. Two.

On with the 'show'--

Numbness, last words echoing through what he could only assume was air. "Let ME try Sonic! I, I can do this." He felt the immense pressure of the fear he'd been in still coursing through him. He could hear his friend's voice too, noting his accomplishment. Then everything went white, the memory ended and he was here, the only query was where they aforementioned 'here' was. He wasn't alone, however, there was a presence whereever he was, and it seemed annoyed. In fact he could almost feel it condescending to him, as if he could feel the emotion of whatever was here.

Suddenly the strange place was gone, darkness enveloped him and he felt something on his back. He realized with some measure of speed that he must be somewhere, and that he was no longer numb as he could feel the ground on his back. It only followed that the gloomy blackness was the result of his eyes being shut, a situation that was easily resolved.

The light flooded in, blinding him and forceing a quiet whine from his mouth. As he squinted and blinked in a feverish attempt to regain his sight green replaced the blinding light from before. Slowly a forest began to take shape around him. He sat up, again he was alarmed at the ease of it. Before the fear had been so horrendous he had to fight with all his willpower just to move.

He cautiously got to his feet, testing the ground first as if he didn't trust it. He looked around, for a moment he felt alone, everything was different than a few moments ago. Familiar faces were gone, even his only way of defending himself was gone. The reality was starting to set in when he heard a annoyed groan coming from a clearing. His gut told him not to follow it but even meeting something hostile was better than being alone. He pushed through a stand of bushes, a thorn catching in the red leather of his jacket. He wrinkled his nose and pulled it free, still pushing forward into the clearing.

In front of him was what appeared to be a real human, like Kintobor. But different somehow, the man appeared to be in pain.

The man was thin and had a strange blue leisure suit on. His hair was in quite possibly the most bizarre looking style he'd had seen.

---POV Narration Shift---

"Just a bad dream..."

"Bang."

It doesn't hurt anymore. So this is what death is like? Heh, just feels like another dream.

"Hey mister, are you okay?"

Aw crap, they have kids in heaven? Or is this something else.

He rolled onto his butt and stared lazily at what he could already feel was going to be trouble. He snerked audibly, at sight in front of him more than humorous. What appeared to be a rabbit. A rabbit standing on two legs and wearing clothes. And apparently, a rabbit that could talk. He could see this strange creature in front of him wasn't as amused as he was by all these events.

"Heh, and here I always thought I'd see pink elephants." The man voiced out in a low, laid back tone. His remark seemed to cause only more confusion. "Ah well, pink elephants or big bunnies its all the same ta me." He answered the still hanging question by rolling back and jumping to his feet, landing in a gymnastic finishing pose and exclaiming almost sarcastically while giving his new acquaintance a exaggerated bow, "Ta da. For my next trick I would pull a rabbit out of a hat, but I'm short a hat big enough for ya fuzzy."

By now it was obvious he was delivering cutting remark after cutting remark aimed at his younger counterpart's race. The young man sighed, "My name is Johnny, not fuzzy."

The human responded by pointing at the rather large talking rabbit and winking, "And my name is Spike, not mister." He grunted and preceded to pop several joints before looking around, "So. This a dream, or death, or am I just on so many painkillers from getting cut up that I'm just seeing talking animals."

Johnny looked around nervously, "I, I dunno, I was fighting this evil Chaos creature a second ago and now I'm here. I remember getting to the plug and it attacked me..."

Spike blinked at the strange barrage of nonsense but the last three words seemed to coincide with his own final memories prior to waking up here. He looked away rather seriously for a moment thinking. Attacking him huh. Well considering the last thing I remember was taking it to the gut I think its safe to assume we're dead. Won't do any good to say it, scared kids are even more annoying than normal ones. Better find a sucker to ditch this one on before I get stuck with him for the whole afterlife.

"Hey Mis- I mean Spike, what is it?" The rather naive voice came again. Spike blinked, the smirked, "Just thinking we better make sure whatever came after you doesn't find us. Maybe there's a town around here or something."

There have to be other people somewhere.

"It's this way! Com'on!" Spike perked up hearing a distinctly feminine voice coming through the forest. He turned to see a very attractive young lady walk into view backwards as if coaxing someone to come with her. Another smirk crossed his face as he spoke up to get her attention.

"Well hello miss, it's nice to know strange talking rabbits aren't the only thing I'm seeing today."

Even though the Faerie was annoying, some of the things he was saying were fascinating. "Time?" she responded, not putting the same accent on it has he did. "You're aware of the Memory Rods?"

The figure simply stared at her, apparently bemused. Archan's curiosity had been further sparked though...Stone had been built upon the Memory Rods, columns of pure memory, a black, marble-like substance that served as recepticle for all of time on Earth and the worlds that it contained, from the infinite change of the past, to her own Charm filled present, and on to the future where Faeries like this one ruled, and beond. It was for this that Stone had been built, to protect those memories, that stream of time.

If this figure knew about the Memory Rods, that could change things completely! Maybe they hadn't actually left Stone after all? Maybe this was some kind of strange backwater of the world where the near vertical wall was invisible? If so, then her arch enemy Jonah would simply be above her head, waiting for her to find and destroy him!

Or even better, if she could find the rods herself, she could alter history again, change things so that she wasn't defeated in the first place! It was an exceptional gift that only two beings in the entire universe posessed, the ability to tap into the memory rods and make changes, adjust history to their own desires! Of course, the stream of time would always try to force itself back to normallity, meaning major changes were not only very difficult, but extremely dangerous as well, but small changes, tiny adjustments to things, that was possible! She was one of the only two gifted to have this abillity, and the other was Jonah himself.

But perhaps he now considered her dead! Perhaps she could use the element of surprise against him to defeat him once and for all! She needed to find the Memory Rods!

"We seem to have more in common than we thought, Faerie." she replied evenly, keeping her irritation under control. "I know of this time you refare to, although perhaps we call it different names. I too am a kind of guardian of it, and recently I have been trying to protect it from an evil monster that has been attempting to destroy it and reshape it to his own ends, an evil Human who I was in battle with just a short while ago. He and his allies tricked me and somehow transported me here, however with your help, perhaps we can stop him before it's too late! I know you said you prefare to work alone, but I tell you, this threat is real and dangerous, and to ignore it would be to ignore your own duty as a guardian! Since we are both here for the same purpose and working for the same goal, it only stands to reason that we should work together to accomplish that!" She inclined her head to one side thoughtfully. "Perhaps it is his meddling that caused this discrepancy you talk about. He must be stopped at all cost, and to do that we must find the Memory Rods, or "time" as you call it. What do you say?"

"Protection of [Time] is my duty alone. I will find out why I even exist right now. As it is, this is an abomination to my purpose."

Sieghart would not relent. Somehow, his gut was telling him that this character simply could not be trusted. He had a way of telling when someone was being unnatural, but never could tell what the person was thinking.

"Once again, I decline. If you have nothing else to say, I will take my leave. Try to kill me, and I will destroy you."

Gamma followed Aeris, his programming still keeping him wary of the surrounding environment as he followed the woman in the woods. She beckoned him to come along, but showed no sign of impatience at his methodical movement. The woods and the bright day showed no sign of danger, and movement was limited to small woodland creatures.

But they came around a tree, and as Aeris faced Gamma, they both heard a new voice. "Well hello miss, it's nice to know strange talking rabbits aren't the only thing I'm seeing today."

Aeris turned on her heel, and Gamma stepped up behind her to observe another human, this one a male in a blue suit. He had apparently been the speaker, and he stood with a very casual air about him. Just beyond him was a bipedal rabbit, similar to some of the other creatures Gamma had encountered before during his missions.

"It appears that we have more newcomers today, Gamma!" exclaimed Aeris cheerily before she bowed toward these two beings, careful not to spill her flower basket. "I suppose that both of you Awakened very recently?"

This brought stares, which Aeris giggled at, gently and not unkindly. "I suppose I should explain things as we head toward Gate Town. The first day or so is always the hardest here. Come along with me, and you will have your answers."

"Answers, huh? My first question then would be, what is your name?" The male human gave Gamma a watchful glance before turning his attention to Aeris, who he seemed much more interested in.

"Aeris Gainsborough. And yours?"

"Spike Spiegel."

Aeris looked over to the rabbit, who looked up and replied, with just a tinge of nervousness to his voice, "I'm Johnny, Johnny Lightfoot."

Aeris nodded approvingly, and then stepped to one side and gestured to Gamma. "And this is Gamma. He just Awakened too."

Processing data, thought Gamma as he listened to this introduction. New term "Awakened" entered into database. Must discover meaning.

Aeris began walking along the path, and Spike wasted no time in stepping right beside her. This left Johnny to walk alongside Gamma, and Gamma soon became aware of the rabbit's intense eyes that seemed quite focused on Gamma's robotic form. There were emotions there that Gamma recognized, but Johnny was not attempting to attack Gamma, so Gamma did not interpret it to be harmful.

"You've said something about being 'awakened' twice now," said Spike, his hands in his pockets as the unlikely troupe continued on through the woods. "So what does that mean?"

Aeris nodded toward Spike before turning her head to look forward again. "Awakening is what happens when you finish your time in the world you were born in, and leave it for this world. Everyone who is here in this world had to go through it, no matter what or who they were in the life before. I don't understand why myself, but I have seen it enough times now that I understand it is similar between people. It's almost like another birth, except you carry with you the things that most people think are left behind."

Gamma recorded this new knowledge carefully, creating a voicefile and saving it under the heading of "Awakening." Pieces started to fall into place now as he listened and watched, and he understood he was in the right place to learn more about what had happened.

"Finish your time?" asked Johnny, speaking up from behind. "You don't mean..."

Aeris looked back at Johnny, a sad smile on her face as he trailed off. "I can't tell you that this is death, because you and I are very much alive. But for some reason we've been brought here. It is a place beyond the veil of death."

Spike let out a low whistle. "Not exactly what I imagined...so, where is this Gate Town you mentioned? Is that it up ahead?"

"Yes it is," answered Aeris as she pointed, and Gamma saw a collection of various houses built along a winding stone-bricked road in the middle of a valley. The trees became scattered until the forest ended as the group left it behind, and they entered the road and the town. "It's called Gate Town because most Awakened people arrive very near here. I do not know when it began, but someone first started this town and ever since it has continued to grow and flourish."

Gamma looked left and right, his sensors taking in each house as they walked by. Many of them were crudely erected shacks, but just as many had unique architecture of fine build and craftsmanship. Tall or short, wide or thin, mansion or corner shop, each building added to the tapestry of this town. Most of the materials were wood, but other materials like brick and metal were present, and even some that Gamma's sensors could not identify without further analysis. There was one house that appeared to be made out of giant sea shells. Another appeared like a technological lab that robots like Gamma might have stepped out of.

"Here's the Way Inn," said Aeris, pointing to a larger structure built of simple wood but with sturdy stability, two floors and a low and long construction. "One of the first buildings in Gate Town, it's the place where newcomers may stay until they build a house of their own. It's also one of the centers of community life here, so there are often groups gathered here at all times of the day and night."

Gamma considered this new data. He did not need a place to rest so much as he needed a source of energy to recharge. He had not detected any such sources of energy, besides small windmills that brought electric current into particular houses equipped with them. Perhaps he could determine where a good source of energy was...

Spike was maintaining a safe distance from Johnny, after the girl had simply blurted out they were dead he didn't want to get left babysitting a blubbering hairball.

"Quaint." The human uttered digging in his pockets, "So uh, you guys just give all us poor dead guys a house or something?" He smirked finding what he'd been looking for. A strange custom of his, he stuck a cigarette in his mouth but didn't bother lighting it. Then returned his hands to his pockets following Aeris in an aloof stroll.

Johnny looked much less apathetic about what he'd just been told, jogging up next to the girl and away from the robot. "We're dead... but not dead? What, what does that mean? Can we get back? My friends are going to need my help."

"You cannot go back."

The voice to Johnny's response was low, weak, but dangerous. He quickly turned to see himself staring into a black dress. He felt a sudden chill down his spine.

"Hello, rabbit." He looked up and saw a pale, but large and intimidating, female figure standing over him, white hair cascading to the ground. "You may call me Apsu-sama, if you wish."

Next to her was another, larger figure, with black hair, and piecing eyes. He took a step back, uncertain of what to make of these new people.

Johnny took a step back, trying in vain to feign defiance, "How do you know?"

Spike was leaning against the inn, rolling the unlit cigarette around in his mouth. Great, more weirdos. The furball is starting to look more normal by the minute. Least the girl is normal, sorta. The more weirdo's appeared, the closer he kept to Aeris.

"Don't you think all of us have tried to go back?" Apsu looked at Johnny smoothly. "I can't tell you how many things I've attempted. But it is for naught. We are all stuck here for all eternity, so I suggest you get used to it and find people who will help you in this place. People, such as myself, who have been here for some time."

Apsu could feel the fear inside the rabbit, and at this, she smiled gently. Perhaps there was a way this newcomer could be used.

Meanwhile, Jadis looked at Spike, as he hung the cigarette from his mouth.

"Do you need a light for that?" she inquitred as casually as she could, even as she summoned fire on her fingertips.

IC:
The high speed provided by her propulsion systems soon brought Commander Gear Justice out of the forest and into a wide green glade. She planted her feet, skidding to a halt and tearing the grass up slightly in the process. The booster on her back spun to a halt as she stood up to her full height and surveyed her sourroundings. As she gazed around, she spotted a small town not too far from here. However, something else alerted her senses and she looked up. There in the sky was a flying man, and some sort of huge creature the likes of which she had never set eyes on before. The flying man didn't surprise her much, she'd seen the likes of this before. But the creature... now there was an interesting sight. This bore further investigation. Justice's leg muscles tensed, and she leapt into the air, her augmented strength pushing her powerfully up off the ground. Again the booster system on her back whirred into life, keeping her suspended in mid-air a few feet away from the creature and the flying man. The two of them seemed to be having some kind of discussion, and as yet she'd gone unnoticed...

Spike moved his pupils lazily to the corners of eyes to look at Jadis, "No thank, I'm good." The eyes moved back forward and he mumbled out, "But maybe you get yer friend to stop spooking the furball, only thing worse than kids is scared kids."

Johnny backed his way over to Aeris nervously. Depressing strangely dressed humans that didn't seem to mind a robot hanging around. This place was definetly as weird as it could get.

Sieghart, not taking his eyes off the dragon, moved such that his field of vision showed both the newcomer and the dragon. He treated both with suspicion, though he was more hostile towards the dragon.

"Who might you be?" he asked Justice.

(OOC: I'm really really sorry to everyone in this RP, especially Silv and Vic, who I've been holding up. It seems just when I thought I might be able to get back into RPing around here life lept up to kick me again, and now I've found out I'm going away with family for a time on thursday as well! With that in view, I reluctantly realise that it'd be better for me to pull out of this RP, to make sure I'm not holding anybody up as I am doing currently. Hopefully when I get back from vacation I'll be able to do more here, maybe even rejoin this RP, but we'll have to see how life treats me.

I'll take Archan out of the story to allow it to continue. Assume this post to take place just before Vic's post above. Once again, sorry for ny problems caused.)

Archan bared her teeth in rage. You...impossible...creature!!! Why was it that every single Faerie she had ever met was so incredibly annoying???

Oh how she longed to lunge in now and tear him to shreads...but with great difficulty, she managed to force the feeling down. No, he was too powerful. Without her immortallity she could be injured severely. One thing was for sure though, when she had completed her mission and control of the memory rods was hers, she would reserve a special place for this insolent being where she could torture him to her heart's content, making him pay a million times over for his contempt! Yes, she would not be denied her revenge!

She shouted as much at the figure now! "You will be mine, Faerie!" she spat as she glared at him with her eyeless sences. "Remember this day...soon, you will pay for it dearley!" She was so maddened with rage that as she turned to fly off over the forest in search of clues to where she was, she completely failed to notice the newcomer who had just arrived on the scene from the trees below, a rare mistake on her part. Her Charm sences were usually alert to everything, however in this case, the curious newcomer completely escaped her notice as she flapped her large wings, dissapearing off over the forest at surprising speed for her size...!

IC:
Justice stared after the large winged creature as it sped away.
Hmm... such a curious creature... she mused to herself. One wonders if it realises the fullness of it's situation. Ah well. She turned neatly towards the human floating nearby. Well. I've been called many a thing in my time, and not all of them pleasant. Very few in fact. You may simply call me Justice, however. Her eyes moved back in the direction the dragon had sped off in. That was a fascinating creature, however. In all the time I was alive, I believe I never laid eyes on such a thing. A shame, I daresay such a creature as that would have made an amazing Gear. Ah well...
Having said that, Justice reduced the thrust from her boosters, sending her plummeting back downward. She cushioned her landing neatly with the propulsion system, and then looked around once more, searching for the village she'd noticed earlier.

Sieghart sped towards Gate Town from the air - it was his initial intention - whilst memorising the landscape. It was a habit; he would always make a mental map of the region before he went anywhere. Being able to fly was an advantage in this sense.

Strange creature, that dragon was. But this one... Sieghart shook his head, his already fluttering, spiky blue hair moving even more wildly. He had to concentrate on gathering information, and that was exactly what he would do.

"Now Apsu," said Aeris in a gently reproving tone, like she had done this many times before and still had the patience for it, "none of us really know whether there is a way back or not, so don't talk to newcomers like that. You know many of them are so desperate to get back to help their friends."

The almost fey human smiled at Johnny. "The truth is, I'm afraid I don't know if there is a way to return you to your friends. But there is an entire world here to explore, and you never know; you might find a way back to your own world, if you look for it."

Gamma evaluated the possibility of being able to return to one's "world" from this one. Before it had reached this new world, the probability wouldn't have breached its mind. But with the fact that it had emerged in a new world after being terminated, Gamma calculated a fair chance that either a way back existed, or at least a way to another world existed.

"And to answer your earlier question, Spike, you will have to build your own house. You can ask for help from other people, and in the meantime can stay here at the Way Inn."

"Ah. Nice." Spike did not seem very excited by this response, but he had hardly seemed to Gamma to show the same sort of reactions that Johnny had shown so far. "Say, I've got another question. What happens if we die here?"

Aeris shook her head. "I don't know. No one has ever died since I've been here, and age doesn't seem to affect people here like it did before."

"Don't be silly." Apsu looked at Aeris at this. "If it were so possible, you with your power would have gotten back to your own little friend in no time."

With that, she turned and began to walk off, back towards her abode. She knew she'd hit a soft spot; many people who had been in the town knew of Aeris' attachment to a certain boy back in the living world. Mentioning always got a rise out of Aeris, as the boy was in a grave state of danger - and she was powerless to stop it.

A shadow of satisfaction crossed Jadis' face when she saw that the insult had an effect on Aeris, who simply stared at Apsu, clearly unable to speak. Gamma, meanwhile, looked at Spike, who simply looked at Apsu's disappearing figure with bemusement.

"Don't worry, Aeris." Jadis knew how to trap bees with honey, as opposed to vinegar, when the situation called for it. "Apsu can be cruel at times. She had no right to say that to you...."

"No, Jadis, it...it's all right," Aeris sighed. "We all have our own ways of coping with this new world we've been placed in. And we've all left people who we care about behind..."

Gamma detected more sensitive emotion in Aeris's voice than she was letting on, but she seemed to bounce back from whatever it was that Apsu had said and a smile graced her lips again. "Come on inside, I'll introduce you to the innkeepers! They're friends of mine."

She opened the front door and stepped inside, leading the way as she waved to the two men behind the counter. "Biggs, Wedge, I'm back! And I've brought some newcomers with me."

Looking like the most mismatched pair this side of Rouge and Big, the two young men smiled as they hurriedly came from around the counter. One of them was short and round, and even now he hid a half-eaten hot dog behind himself as he approached. The other was taller, thinner (not a particularly difficult accomplishment), and wore a headband to keep his messy scruff of hair out of his eyes.

"Oh, good! Anyone from our world, Aeris?" asked the shorter one, licking a dab of ketchup from his lips.

"No, not this time," Aeris said, keeping that smile on her face with cheerful determination. "Can you get some rooms ready, and a drink? I imagine they're all a little thirsty."

"Sure, what do you all want?" asked the taller one. "I'm Wedge, I handle the bartending around here."

"And I handle supplies and rooms!" squeaked the more rotund one. "I'm Biggs, good to meet ya!"

OOC: I still seems to be stuck. =/ I'm not sure where Omega is right now, but if someone could IM him or something, t'would be appreciated. I'd get myself out of this, but i don't know Archer's personality well enough.

EDIT: Okay, Terg says he can't really continue this RP, and has given me permission to continue it. If you're interested in continuing, PLEASE say so. We can figure out who's here and not here and plothole non-active charactes out of the way. ALSO because probably a few people aren't going to be back, this RP is still accepting entries.
