This is an adaptation of Hotwheels: world race and the other second world race series. Most of it I'll be making up, but hey, it's immpossible to be perfect. Okay, on the the storyline...
A car speeds down a huge raceway on what seems to be a rocky desert. But this track is unlike any on Earth, and infront of the car is a huge loop. The car speeds forward, up the side of the loop. IT seems it'sgoing to makeit, until...
An alarm sounds, the car looses traction on the top of the loop and falls.
This is watched by a dark red Echidna who slams his hand on a control panel. A small robot floats next to him. "Sir," , it says. "Maybe you don't need different cars. Maybe you need different drivers."
The next day. A select group of talented people find a car in their driveway, hotel parking space, dirt road, whatever. The each get the following message:
"Hello, my name is Dr. Isus, And you have been chosen because of your talents, your attitude, and your courage. You have been chosen to drive in a race like no other... You have been chosen to drive in the world race. Follow the directions given on the map in the back seat to find the starting point. You will know when you are there."
Okay! Now, I'm going to give a list of characters that you can use, and be free to be any of them, or any that I missed. HOWEVER, no fan chars in this one, sorry. I'd make it way to hard to keep track. ALSO, You cannot be eggy or any of his robots. They will appear, but not for you. =P

Knuckles rubbed his eyes in the light, and yawned long and hard. Another day...who knew what it was going to bring! He hoped it was going to be exciting...he was getting bored.
He was stood in the doorway of the house in the Emerald Hill Zone. The sun was climbing in the sky, and the air was already warm. With a sigh he looked around at the other houses in the village. No movement. It was only seven o'clock...to early for many.
His attention was caught by a car parked on the grass over to the left of his house. He blinked in suprise. That was some set of wheels! He wondered over to it, looking for any identifying marks.
Nothing! Whatever car company had made this thing they didn't seem to want publicity! But it was obvious by the car's attitude that it was something special!
He grinned and turned back to the house. He wished he could get a car like that! Goodness knew whos it was, or, for that matter, why it was parked next to his house, but he didn't bother thinking about it.
He opened the door and stepped inside, then jumped up three feet in shock and pain! "OW!" He had trodden on something with his bare feet!
He looked down to see a piece of paper on the floor, and beside it, a strainge shaped key. He picked both items up and began to read the paper, confused. As he read, his eyes slowly grew wider and wider.
Slowly, he turned back out the door and faced the car. Holding his breath, he pressed a button on the handle of the key.
BLEEP BLEEP. The veichle's alarm system de-activated.
"Woah yes!!!" exclaimed Knux to himself, grinning widely. It looked like it was gonna be a killer day after all!
Quickly he ran inside the house to wash and dress, then he dived into the car and started the engine. With a roar the machine burst into life, shaking with the raw power!
Still grinning, Knux rammed the accelerator, and the car thundered off through the trees!
OOC: Looks all right I'm game! I'll be Shadow!
Shadow went to his window and looked outside as he does every morning. This morning was different though when he glared out the glass he saw a strange auto mobile resting in his driveway. Curiously he walked outside and approached the vehicle. He pondered the question that someone left it here. He then noticed something stuck in the window sheild wippers. It was a slip of papper with directions written on it and a key. He got into the car and decided to follow the directions!
The computerised desplay on the dashboard pulsed slowly, directing Knux on the route he should take. It seemed to be taking him towards the Metropolis Zone, but he could be mistaken.
He had left the Emerald Hills and was now racing down the Chemical Plant freeway. He grinned as people in other cars gaped and pointed as he roared past. The design of this car looked like something from a sci-fi movie, and everyone was noticing it!
Suddenly a car moved across into his lane infront of him, the driver being the only one on the road NOT to notice the machine. Knuckles grabbed the steering wheel tight.
"Oh dang!"
The car was moving way too fast for the brakes, so he rammed the wheel hard right. The car swerved across all four lanes of the freeway and skidded onto the dirt beside the road.
Knux was fighting to get control again. Up ahead he saw a massive cliff, the bottom of which sloped down at an angle, piled high with gravel.
It was no good...he was going far too fast...!
The car thundered up the gravel hill like a ramp and onto the vertical side of the cliff. Knuckles put his head down, waiting for the crash. As he did so, he accidentally jabbed the accelerator harder.
It was nearly a full ten seconds before he realised the car wasn't crashing. He raised his head and looked around, then blinked in disbelief!
The car was driving on it's side! The speed was so high and the airodynamics so good that it was driving along the cliff face at nintey degrees to the floor!!!
Knux stared at the vertical horizon for a moment, then let out a loud "WHOOP!!!" of amazement. "Oh man I LOVE this CAR!!!"
Careful not to let his speed drop, he nosed the car back down the slope and rejoined the highway. He was looking forward to this race more than ever now!!!
