OOC:Um...Well I'm a noob at this so if I screw up, please don't hate me. This RP is set in a post-modern world(around 2200-2300(no specific year yet)). Technology has advanced one thousand fold, but society has gone down. The Earth now controlled by a central empire, called the Racves Empire(crappy name I know), has become turmoil. Countless rebellions have started in the past and other lower class empires(the one who work for the Racves)have tried overthrowing the Racves, but ended up being struck down by the iron might that is the military power of the Racves. During recent years interstellar travel has allowed colonization of other planets(including our solar system and others). Alien races offered peace and equality with the Racves Empire, but were met with one fell swoop of the Racves fleet. Along with technology ancient magics and ways have been reborn and begun a new era of warfare.
The Racves Empire is ruled by the central family of, well, Racves. The current ruler is Lord Nihn, who would rather put out a cigar on your forehead than even glance at a peace treaty. He stomped out the last rebellion with experimental weapons, that were eventually scrapped. Along with the rebellion, Lord Nihn destroyed thousands of innocent villages and towns along the way.
That's where my character comes in...
IC:
He stared out into the clouds from the deck of the ship. It's destination was not where he was headed, but he had taken it for another reason. He walked over to the railing, his black cloak swirling behind him, it's deep red inside pulsing slowly in the wind. He grasped the railing gently. The gloves on his hands preventing him from feeling the cold metal on his palm. He looked down at the surface slowly passing beneath the ship. "Almost there." he mumbled to him self. As he backed away and turned to the entrance of the innards of the ship, his thoughts remained solely on his destination and not the ship's. His breathing increased slightly and he cursed his nervousness under his breath.
As he reached the entrance he glanced down at the silver pocket watch he had just pulled from his pocket. It was just as he had predicted, 12 noon. It was time. Just as he mentally prepared himself a man headed for the ships inside walked up, "Hey,pal, you mind." He turned to face the man, the hood of his cloak covering his face, but not his dark green almost souless eyes. He stared unblinking at the man and said, "Move", his voice though deep, was not scary, the man moved all the same.
He took one last deep breath, then charged forward at the railing, dodging in between people as he ran. He began to get very close to the edge when he mentally screamed, "NOW!". He leaped up and over the railing and into a swan dive as he passed over the last of the ship. He felt the air hit him like a punch to the face as someone on board yelled, "Oh my god he jumped!" He saw the landscape below, a barren wasteland, all that was left after the last rebellion. He watched the ground, waiting for the right moment. Even though he had done this before, one mistake could result in death.
Just as the ground began to get dangerously close, he pulled his legs up to his chest and went into a high speed tumble. Then, twenty or so feet from the ground, he spread his limbs out and hit the ground. Dust shot high into the air. As it slowly cleared, it revealed him sitting on one knee, his fist directly on the ground.
He stood up and walked out of the crater that he had left behind. He wiped off the dust that had gathered on his clothes and looked forward to his destination. A small village sat on the horizon. As he began walking he noticed another crater to the right, "Damn, I missed."
OOC:Oh, I forgot to put rules. Well, just don't god mod yourself and I guess we'll be okay. Remeber that you can use magic, technology, and any weaponry you want. If you want to be an alien race, you can, just run it by me if you think it might not fit into the story(Ex:Characters from the Sonic Universe). I probably won't have much time to check back in, maybe once a week at the most, but I'll try to check in regularly. Oh, one more thing you don't have to put a character bio, cause as you see I didn't and don't plan to, but if you want to that would be nice.
OOC: Ah, what better way to celebrate my return to the MOFO than join a new RP. I just popped in here and seen it had no posts so I shall become the first player! WHAHA!
IC:
The young boy leapt from his bed. Something had stirred him from his mid-day slumber. A feeling of dread and hope entwined into one. A feeling of nostaligia from a time he thought was long gone. This night was certain to be different. As the boy opened his bedroom window to the comotion in the streets below, he knew his destiny had been placed before him as if he were at a great feast!
"Rodger's!" a stern middleaged woman exclaimed as she entered the young child's room, "What in the name hell is going on outside?"
"Dunno?" the boy responded, "Do you want me to go check?"
"Hm, I'd rather you not, after all your safety is my number one concern!"
"Aw, ma! I won't go to far, just far enough to get the scoop!" Rodger's then turns and points out the window, "Besides, they're already dozens of people on the streets!"
"I guess, but I'm going with you!"
"I can take care of myself, ma! I'm not a babby anymore!"
"BUT you are 10 and a half years old, and I'm your mother so what I say goes!" the woman turns to leave, "Now get your coat!"
The two exit the house, the sun was glareing down upon the crowd as a massive dark cloud approached from the east! Despite the huge population on the streets everything seemed errierly calm. Everyone's attention was focused on a thin trail of smoke rising gently into the sky! The sun now began to lose some of its light as the cloud grew ever so close.
"What do you think it was?" asked a balding young man.
"A meteorite I suppose!" another member in the crowd replied.
"A meteor? In the middle of the day?"
"Meteors can strike at any given time idiot!"
Rodger's looked up at his mother, "Ma, what are they talking about?"
"I don't know maybe it has something to with that tremeor we felt earlier!" she reponded.
"Tremor? What Tr-!" Rodger's voice was cut short by a suuden yell.
"LOOK SOMEONE IS APPROACHING!"
"What? Do you suppose he came from the space rock?"
"It wouldn't be the first time!"
All of a sudden the crows grew quite as the ominous figure grew ever so close! Was this strange being the reason for Rodger's strange and sudden feelings? On;y time will tell!

OOC: There I hope this is satisfatory DLPeaches, if not, well that's what the edit button is for! Also I will create a profile as more info is revelaed about my character! Oh, and good luck to you, because I remember my first RP and know how difficylut it is to make the right one!
OOC: I may join this, but I'd like to see where it's headed first. Also, a little more depth as to the kind of technology used currently would be nice, I mean, are we in a utopian-looking world, mile-high cities, flying cars the norm, etc., or is technology higher/lower than that?
OOC:Hey, Silver I meant to put that info in but I completely forgot about it. Currently the technology is kinda confusing. Laser pistols exist but only the Racves Empire has a steady supply of them, so if you want to use them, you're going to come up with how you got them. Also the laser pistols still use bullets, they're just like... laser bullets. People who don't work for the Racves still use normal technology guns, like .45s and revolvers, if you want to go that way. As for flying cars and whatnot, like the laser pistols, they're only available to the Empire. A big thing in this RP might be close-combat weapons. Most people still use normal bladed weapons, but if you want to use a lightsaber-like weapon, it will have to have a power source and will have to be recharged occasionally. No time for a post right now, gotta go. Will get a post the chance I get.
OOC: Alright then, I'll get started then.
IC: Silver had heard the landing, he lived at the edge of the village. For an instant, only an instant, he though maybe it was orbital artillary, they were firing again, the war was on, thousands more of his comrades would die as death rained from- ...
The feeling passed. The war's over... the rebellion's been over... we lost... calm down... A shiver went down his spine. He had been a commander, though there had been no formal ranks, in the rebellion, gone into hiding after surviving that final battle where the victor was decided. Since then, he had simply been staying in this village, keeping a low profile, hoping one day to get another chance to change the world, another chance to fix everything... to make up for the subordinates he sent into battle. To make up for leaving his family behind. To make up for everything.
Maybe... maybe today would be that day...? He dismissed the thought. He picked up his pistol, it had been heavily used and modified during the war, held twelve shots, including laser ammo... should he ever get his hands on some. He holstered it, and picked up a small cube lying on his desk. It was one of those "experimental weapons" used during the war, but it was nothing special. It was meant to be a sidearm for infantry, a small, enchanted bit of metal controllable using one's own will. Basically, it was used as a long-range close-combat weapon. Don't know what they were thinking of inventing it, but it helps out. He stuck it in his pocket and headed out. Artillary or not, SOMETHING had hit the ground nearby. He headed out, noting the large crowd gathering.
OOC:Sorry for the delay guys, but I'm back.
IC:He entered the village and headed toward the center. A large crowd had gathered together. He usually didn't arrive until nighttime but there were no ships heading in this direction tonight. At night most people were asleep and didn't take notice. As he approached the crowd, the village elder recognized him.
"Aidra, haven't seen you in a while. Did you see the meteor back there?" As the elder spoke he pulled his hood back revealing his face. His short blonde hair seemed to glow in the desert sun. "Meteor?" He turned and pretended he was actually trying to look for something. "No, I didn't see any meteor." Aidra turned back around and began to take notice of the people around. Since he usually came at night, he never really took the time to commute with the other villagers. The way they just stood there innocently upon the ruined background of what was once a truly beautiful oasis, it brought back old anger and hatred but, he quickly suppresed those bad thoughts. "Is my mom around?" As he spoke he kept surveying the surrounding people.
One person stood out. A small boy, about 10 to 11 years of age. The boy just stood there staring at him. As Aidra stared back, he realized who the boy looked like. Granlk. The name sat in his mind until the village elder responded. "Yeah, I 'spose so." As he turned back to face the elder, the last thing he saw was the boy getting smacked in the back of the head by a woman standing next to him, most likely his mother. He thanked the elder for his answer and headed toward the back of the village where his mother's house was located. He hoped she was doing better today.
OOC: Late or not it doesn't matter to me! Besides I'm very curious to see where this tale will head!
"OW!" the boy known as Rodgers exclaimed as his mother's fist drove into the back of his head, "What was that for mama?"
"You leaft the house and didn't even brush your hair!" the woamn hissed, "No child of mine will ever be considered the unclean one!"
Rodgers' mom turned and went back inside their drab living quarters as the boy stood staring on at the strange man. The man had beagan to leave with the elder, but Rodgers was sure the man had looked straight at him!
"Na! He must have been looking toward someone else, what would such a powerful person want with a out of nowhere hick like me?" then a grin rolled across his face, "But then again I am the great Balaba Rodgers! There isn't a man alive who doesn't tremble in fear at the mere mention of my name! HAHAHA!"
"Rodgers! Are you going to come inside any time today? The crowd is already dispersing, and you know its much to dangerous to wander our village all alone!" his mother called from inside their house, "Besides it almost time for some dinner!"
At the promise of an appitizing meal the child known as Balaba Rodgers quickly darted inside to see what treasureous dish his mother would prepare!

Aidra opened the door that lead into the home of his mother. The house hadn't changed at all since his last visit. "Mom," he called through the emptiness of the house, "it's me, Aidra." He heard no reply for a moment, but this was usual. "Aidra?" her soft voice echoed through the house, "I'm back here." He proceeded through the house knowing exactly where she was. He approached the final room of the house, which was the kitchen. The smell of fresh cooked meat wafted through the air. As he entered the room she quickly noticed him and rushed forward to hug him. He welcomed his mother's hug, but regretted not being able to actually feel the embrace. "So," he began to strike up a conversation as soon as she had released him, "how is everything?" She turned back to preparing the food laid out on the counter, "Oh, just the usual. Nothing interesting ever happens out here." Aidra chuckled at this comment, "Then what's that?" He turned her attention to the broken window just in front of her. "Oh, it's not like you were a perfect child. You know how the kids love to play out there." She was referring to the large empty area behind the house. The children of the village loved to play there. "Besides, I enjoy the breeze anyway." She laughed at her own little joke. He was glad to see her up and about, but he knew something she didn't. "So, what's with the fancy dinner?" "Just a little party with some of my old friends." "Just some old friends." "Yes, if you must be nosy." "Okay, I've just never seen my mother cook all this food, just for some old friends." "Aidra, are you accusing your old mother of having a boyfriend?" She pointed the knife she was holding up at him. "I'm just saying.", he held his hands up in defense. "But anyway, I just wanted to stop by for a quick visit before heading back to the city."She put the knife down and turned to continue their conversation. "That reminds me, how is the traveling merchant business treating you." "Oh, sales are pretty good," He pulled out his pocket watch, "But I really should be going now. I'll see you next time mom." He hugged her one last time and turned toward the door. As he headed out, he knew he could never tell her that he was a mercenary for the new rebellion, for her safety. But even worse, he couldn't find it in his heart to tell her that she was dying.
"WAHAHAHA! This meal is the @$#!!" Rodgers exclaimed as he gobbled down his second plate of his mother's own Special Fried Bread!
His mother quickly slapped him on the backside of his head for his outburst, "You wacth your mouth in this house! No boy of mine is gonna get away with swearing like that! It's all those damn teenagers you're hanging around I swear." Mrs. Roders walks off into the leaving quaeters.
"Hee! I think I have just one more slice!"
Balaba Rodgers quckly rushes to the counter and begins to cut him off another piece. As he is doing so something catches his eye outside the window.
"Ah!" a bright smile spreads across Rodgers's face, "It's that strange man from the meteor!"
Sure enough Aidra was walking down the path that was just outside Balaba's window! Rodgers looked down at his slice of fried bread.
"Hey I wonder if that alien would like some Special Fried Bread! I wonder if aliens even eat food!"
Balaba quicly grabs the plate and darts out the door. He approched the man from behind making sure not to get his mother's attention.
"Hey excuse me mister alien!" the boy polietly grabs Aidra's attention.
Aidra turns around to face the curious boy.
"Um, mister alien I was wondering if you would like to try some of my mothers Special Fried Bread even though I don't exactly know whats special about it? So do you? Huh, huh?"
TBC
Silver had been watchingthe house the newcomer had gone in. Something just... didn't really fit about him. Something that differentiated him from the crowd. He wasn't entirely sure what... but...
He decided it would be best to follow him. He didn't know what this man was, but that could be found out with a bit of recon. Just like old times...
"Sure, little boy, I'd love to try some of that... whatever you called it." Aidra picked the bread off the plate and took a bite. The bread was actually quite good. "Give your mother my regards, little ugly boy." He turned on a heel and headed toward the outskirts of the village, where he had entered. The bread still in his hand, he hoped to get to his usual camping spot before dark. God only knows what roamed the deserts at night...
OOC: Sorry it took so long to post back. My Internet has been down for quite some while and I just recently got back online! Hopw you understand!
IC:
Balaba had turned and started to head towards his house. Seeing the strange man had stirred something inside the boy! Something long past? No it couldn't be! Balaba had lived in this backwater village for his entire life.
"It's just my fragile mind!" Balaba said with a laugh, "but still, I wonder"
Young Rodgers stopped and stared off in the direction the "alien" man went.
"I guess I could follow him." Rodgers thought outloud, "SURE! I'll be back before bedtime!"
At that young Balaba darted down the opposite path!
TBC
OOC: sorry if it's short!
IC:As Aidra exited the village, he realized who that boy was. It was the boy he had taken notice of in the crowd earlier. He turned around but the boy was nowhere to be seen.
He turned away and began to ponder why the boy refered to him as "Mister Alien". Perhaps he had seen him exiting the crater. Either way it didn't matter now, he wouldn't be returning any time soon. As he headed in the direction of the nearest city, he took notice of a large dust cloud on the horizon. It was to small to be a sandstorm, yet to big for any of the suppliers that came through this area. Something was headed toward the village and it didn't seem friendly.
OOC:That's okay, I just hope this doesn't die. Do you have any idea of what happened to Silver?
Balaba was running. Running as fast as he had ever run before. He was running from his small village as it glowed a faint orange above the horizen. The flames reached high into the sky as Balaba felt himself weeping. He looked back to see several warriors on his tail. They were much faster than he was, and he knew he would not survive. He quickly darted to the left hoping to lose their trail. He heard one of them yell out to his comrade. "He's the one we want! Don't let him get away!"
Balaba stopped he knew he couldn't run forever. So instead he turned to face the menace head on! Deep within him he felt a craving for battle, a craving for blood!
"Look there he is!" Balaba's pursuer shouted.
Balaba tensed as he prepared for the carnage that was destined to take place! The warrior leapt as his comrade drew a pistol of sorts. Darkness.
Was Balaba dead? No. He was alive and aware. Aware of the mangled bodies of his would be captures. Blood was everywhere.
"Wh-what?" was the only word the young Rodgers managed to utter before everything went light.
Balaba rose to his feet. It was nearly dark now. He looked around unsure of his surroundings. He was in his village only mere feet away from where he spoke to the stranger.
"Wh-what?" was the only word Balaba could mutter before he was swept off of his feet.
His legs dangled in the air as he looked straight into the face of terror. His mother!
"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?" She shrieked gathering attention from some random passerbys, "You had me worried sick!"
"I just wanted to see the alien!"
"Alien? What-. Oh you mean-. He's no alien!"
"But he arrived shortly after the meteor!"
"Child trust me Aidra's no alien! Want proof? His mother lives here in town!"
"Ai-Aidra? That sounds oddly familliar!"
"Doesn't matter! We need to get home! Looks like another dust storm is brewing and you wouldn't want to caught outside in that!"
She set Balaba down and headed off in the direction of thier house. Balaba followed after trying to make sens of everything that went down. Was he going crazy? He was certain he heard the name Aidra once before!
TBC
He could see the village up ahead as he turned the throttle of his hover bike. As the engine roared and the bike accelerated he looked into the mirror and saw the rest of his gang behind him. They hadn't had any action recently and they were itching to rip something apart. He figured that this village would be an easy target in case they were a bit rusty. But, nevertheless, the people of this village would feel the sting of Rockit and...
"The Rippers.", Aidra muttered as he focused in on the approaching bandits. He had heard of them before, they were a bunch of misfits who traveled through the wastelands pillaging and destroying. But even though they weren't heartless and never harmed the innocent, they just take what they want and do what they want to. It was rumored that the leader of the gang carried a strange weapon and had usage magic powers, though Aidra had a "few" tricks up his sleeve. Needless to say he still needed to warn everyone in case things got out of hand. He rushed back into the village at break neck speed.
OOC:That ought to do for now.
No sooner had Balaba and his mother made it to their front step when the sirens started blaring! Is was a firece wail as it echoed over the horizen. It was the sound of death itself and it made sure everyone in ear shot heard its cry.
"Mom?" Balaba said as he looked up at his mother with a terrified look.
"Quickly get inside!" his mother said with a faint voice as her eyes grew wide at the approaching dust cloud in the distance.
"But mom-"
"DO IT NOW!"
She shoved the young Rodgers inside and threw the door shut. He crawled to the window and peeped outside to see what the commotion was about. He spyed a strange robed man approach his mother. A man who had lived in town his entire life, but rarely made an apperance outside of his abode. He couldn't make out what they were talking about, but he knew it wasn't good. The in an instant they darted off, outside of Balaba's view! He knew trouble was up, and his mind brought him back to the strange dream he had just a mere ten minutes earlier! Was it a subconcious harbeinger? Or was it something more? It didn't really matter for at that second the bandits had entered town! What did they seek in this no place village? Surely they couldn't be after loot could they? Balaba kneeled down and placed his head between his legs and started to weep. He cried like he never cried before. His vicious sobs were more heartbreaking than the day his father had left the village to seek out something called "DESPERATION"! He didn't know why he was crying. Was it out of terror or was it something else?
TBC
OOC: Sorry if it sounded kinda sloppy! The words just didn't come out quite the way I had hoped!
Aidra, after warning the village elder, rushed back to the outskirts of the village. They weren't here yet, but they were getting pretty close. He didn't have any weapons currently with him to defend himself. He'd have to rely on his wits and his powers...
Rockit let out a whooping warcry as they got closer and closer to the village, "All right boys, get ready to cause havoc!" He adjusted the strap on his chest that kept his weapon on his back. The large object was covered with cloth to keep sand off of it. He was prepared to unleash hell.
OOC:Sorry, I know its short, but I'll put in a better one later. Promise. (:
OOC:
Wow it seems the story is beginning to pick up quite nicely now! I really can't wait to see what happens next! More people should join this, this one's going places!
IC:
Balaba's mother was almost at a jog as she trailed the robed figure. She knew where he was leading her as they whisked down a back alley. I t really has been quite some time since the two had been through here, but given the circumstances there was no other choice! She jumped a little as she heard a window shatter in the back ground. The bandits had begun their rampage!
"Hurry up, general!" she impatiently barked at the old man.
"Calm down I'm not as nimble as you once remember!" he said as he kneeled down to the ground.
"Yeah and I've got a child to protect nowathesedays!" she gazed up towards the heavens.
The old man fidgeted with what seemed to be a small key of sorts. He let lose a triumphet laugh as he pluged a thin silver key into the ground.
"Ere we go!" he said as he stood, "Everything should be as you recall!"
"I sure hope so," she said as she made her way towards the old man stopping to look back at he town, "I sure hope so!"

OOC2:
Again sorry for the shortness, I felt I should've advanced just a little since you did as well, but I'm really at a lost as to where you are taking the story right now and I really don't want to jepordize any plans you may have! Also I really mean it when I say more people should join this, this has some potential I can tell!
IC:Rockit and his gang stopped in front of the village. It appeared that the scouts he had sent ahead were already enjoying themselves. "Alright boys, lets raise hell!" The ragtag group of ruffians ran yelling toward the village. As they were about to enter the village the gang members stopped in their tracks. A lone figure stood at the outskirts, "Stop, you will go no further." Rockit removed himself from his hover bike, his flaming red hair flowed in the wind, "And you think you can stop us all?" The Rippers let out an uproar of laughter. Rockit removed the concealed weapon from his back and used it for support as he leaned to the side, "Well your welcome to try. Crush 'im boys!"
Aidra drove his left fist into the face of the nearest gang member. The large man was propelled backward by the force of the blow. Aidra had charged enough energy into that punch to flip a building over, he wasn't getting up. He then grabbed the next one and threw him into the rest knocking some of them down. The group retaliated and prepared to attack him. "Wait." Rockit stood up straight, "I've heard of you. Your the guy who took down an Empire outpost single-handed. It seems you have some skill." Rockit unhooked the strap keeping the cloth on his weapon, "Lets find out how much skill."
Rockit whipped the cloth away to reveal an ancient orange electric guitar. Aidra laughed, "And what exactly are you going to do with that?" Rockit picked the guitar up showing off the blades crudely attached to the sides, "You'd be surprised." At that notion he charged at Aidra and swiped the guitar at him. Aidra dodged the attack with ease. Rockit follwed up with three more swings. Aidra flipped to the side and shot his fist at Rockit, who smacked it away with the neck of the guitar. Aidra then swung a hook punch at him but was blocked by the spinning of the guitar.
Rockit smirked at him and pushed him back with the flat of the guitar. He then jumped back himself and strucks the string of the guitar. Aidra jumped sideways to dodge a burst of flame that shot from the strings as their furious tone ripped through the air. Rockit called out in a mocking tone, "Come on, you can do better than that." Aidra stood straight up and allowed the energy flowing through his body pour outward, causing a faint yellow aura to rise from his body, "Yeah your right."
Aidra charged at Rockit, dodging two bolts of lightning that flew from the guitar. He ducked down and delivered a devastating uppercut aim straight at Rockit's face. But his fist was stopped completely by a gigantic wall of ice that had suddenly appeared as Rockit had jumped backwards to dodge the attack. It was shattered almost as soon as it was summoned by a blast of energy from Aidra fist as he smacked the wall with his palm. As he peered through the small ice crystals floating downward. He did a quick somersault to the right to dodge Rockit slashing at his throat. As Aidra did this he heard a deep note come from the guitar and was hit with a humongous boulder as it flew from the ground. He slammed into the ground hard and slid across the ground from the force of the blow.
Aidra staggered to his feet. His powers were strong, but that didn't mean his body was. A small trail of blood came from his mouth. He looked over to the leader of the Rippers, "You know, this fight just started and I can already tell that your going to be leaving with some bruises." Rockit grinned, "How's that?" Aidra wiped the blood from his chin with his black gloved hand, "Because I haven't had a challenge like this in a while." He took a stand placing his feet hard into the ground, his hands in front of him level with his face. The yellow aura from his body began to grow bigger and glow brighter, "Alright, lets go."
OOC: Sorry 'bout the delay! I've been meaning to post back in this, but felt really uninspired lately!
IC:
Balaba's mother passed the old man and proceeded to where he had plunged the key into the ground. She knealt down and grasped a little piece of Earth and pulled it back revealing an underground chamber. She made her way down the makeshift steps looking for exactly what she needed. The cellar was packed full of small wooded crates drpared in various cloths. She neared one in particular and ran her finger across the lining of the crate.
"Beautiful!" she said with a grin on her face.
* * * * * * *
Balaba peered out his window as he saw the bandits ransacking the town! However to Balaba it seemed the major forces of this gang were being held up at the head of the village. The bandits terroizing the town had to surely be strays coming in from the east end! Whatever their goal they were going to carry it out.
Balaba let out a shrieek as the door to his little hut was violently blown to bits. Balaba didn't stop to think. He quickly ran towards the bacside of his house and broke out the kitchen window. He heard footsteps nearing his location then quickly jumped out the window! He had to get to safety, he had to. Balaba spied other town folk scurrying about dodging the gang of laughing thugs, then realized that the north entrance would be the best way out! Even though the mass of gang thugs were waiting there for some reason, they weren't acting! Balaba never clamied to have common sense! He darted towards the entrance unaware of the battle taking place there!
