Hello and welcome. First and foremost, I want to inform you this is my first shot at a message board type RP. Whereas I'm used to the faster pace of chat-room RP's, this is a new thing for me.
Needless to say, this means I've never really had to make a plot, as chat RPs never really go anywhere. Especially those that start in a tavern of sorts, which have the most ununique characters everywhere. It's gotten to the point were the Sonic RP's are awful. In fact most Sonic the Hedgehog rooms are full of spooge-cybering. Ugh. So I quit Sonic RP chats and went to the tavern-type rooms. Almost all of the "tavern" RPers are vampires or demons. That got pretty old after a while.
I went through many cycles of many different RP genres until it came to me. I'm going to try a message board RP. But again, the difference between a chat RP and a MB RP is the level of plot. So behold, my first attemps at creating a story and enviroment in which to play in, instead of going to one already set out.
It's ripping open the universes. Not good for most people's health.

Today should have been a snow day. Really, a foot of snow makes roads unsavorably dangerous. But no, up in Maine, the school buses had plows on them.
The school board doesn't consider the people who walk to school, or get a ride from their parents. Audrey is one such kid, and if he didn't know better, he'd be flinging some pretty colorful words as he trudged through the snow.
One thing was okay right now, however. The snow had sat for a while and was a lot harder than powdery, fresh-fallen snow. Because of his light frame, Audrey could walk ON it, instead of IN it.
Something wasn't right. He felt.. light. Moreso than he should. Weird. The feeling kept getting worse. At a point, he felt as if he was floating. The feeling made him a bit nauseous.
Well, he had every right to BE nauseous, because he couldn't feel the ground underneath him. Something was... pulling him upward.
"Ah!" was his brief yell, and he looked down to see himself an inch or two off the ground. He inverted himself in midair and gripped at the snow. For a second, he hung there, saved by the iced-over snow.
But this force was getting stronger. The snow he grasped pulled away from the ground, and he found the ground beneath him seeming to fall away as he began to fall faster and faster into the sky.
"No! Let me down!" he yelled at noone in particular as he plummeted through a thick gray overcast. Suddenly, there was complete darkness.
"Is this space?" he though to himself. "Oh God, I'm gonna suffocate!"
But he never did. The feeling slowed gradually, and eventually he hung in the air. where was he anyways...? He blinked once, twice, and something come into focus.
Leaves? Trees didn't even have leaves this time of the y-
Wham! He feel straight down, landing flat on his back. His first impression was that this was way too hot. He stood up quickly and looked around. Where was the snow?
Whatever, it was too hot for a coat right now. Audrey took it off and looked around. A forest? That's weird, he didn't live anywhere near a forest. Something else was wrong... Gravity felt slanted, as if pulling him slightly to one side over another. But this couldn't be a hill, the trees were straight up and down...
"Hello...?" Audrey called out, rubbing his side from where he had landed. It was bruised a bit.
Audrey sat down, calling out things like "Hello...!" every now and then, hoping someone would find him.

And that concludes this exposition top this RP. Anybody willing to join may, and you may do minor plot twists, and may write for other characters for small lines, but don't make any big decisions for them.
In general, all sorts of worlds are colliding together. You got your human world, SegaSonic, Archie, Megaman, Megaman X, Megaman Legends... pretty much any universe you can think of. All of these universes are smashing and conflicting eachother, bringing people, things, sometimes places are being brought to others with no explanation. It's an extremely random process. One might get flown there, one could fall through the ground, or simply be teleported there, but they leave the plane they came from and appear in a random location of another. These planes can span across time as well as space.
It should be noted that the laws of these universes are very powerful, and will transmute foreign things to something that better fits the plane its on when it remains dormant for an extended period of time, IE sleeping. So a human being brought to a plane where humans are extict, like an MMX world in the extreme future where there are only reploids, they will find themselves becomming more and more robotic after each time they wake up. It works the same vice versa if a reploid should go to a time before Dr. Light made Megaman X.
I hope that'll be clear enough for ya... Get RPing if you so desire. 
EDIT: Any and all pre-made characters, like Sonic, Mario, Megaman, ect. are playable in this. Just a footnote. >.>
