A subject I hope a lot of you here can relate to: frustration and disappointment at days' and weeks' and years' worth of role-plays snuffed out in an instant due to a database crash or server failure. RP has been a passion of my life for many years now, and having my home base of SonicVerse Team have its message board wiped three or four seperate times, taking a lot of our epic stories along with it, finally got to me, and I decided to do something about it.
Hosted at the collaborative artistic community of Crystal Plains, the RPTPS takes in role-plays from anyone willing to submit them, reformatting them into an easy-to-read table format in HTML, and providing them a safe and stable home where they are no longer in fear of falling to the Internet abyss. Since this board here recently experienced its own loss in the ezHack, I hope some of the players here can appreciate the effort going through into this.
The RPTPS project was just released as 'beta', meaning its still very rough around the edges and is in need of a lot more features to make it fully operational; but the intent is apparent.
If any of this sounds relevant to your interests, please take a look and leave your feedback. Lots of help is still needed to bring this project onto its feet, so please don't hesitate to offer your expertise.

Also wanted to throw out that I've finished archiving all nine chapters of SVT's first new epic campaign, "Bad Blood", which is accessible from the link above, if anyone's interested or wants an idea of how this all works together - the CPWiki, RPTPS, and old archives.
Well, that definitely sounds neat, because all of the server crashes have utterly destroyed the life that the roleplayers guild once had.
Glad to have at least a few voices of support for the project. If anyone has RPs, either from this board, another board, or something over IM, that they want archived, feel free to speak up and I'll get it on the RPTPS as soon as possible.
If I could find the End Of The Eggman Empire RP from a few years back, I'd love to see it archived. It's a shame the EZboard search function sucks.
I wonder if between Sam, CJ, and a few other if we actually have ALL of Evalc's.

I do have a memory of it though, kinda.
How I wish this was done sooner. A lot of epic rps took big hits. Mines for example lost practically everything in a hack attack. Sadly I don't dare recreate it because there was a lot of player added content which was very valuable and I dare not try to mess with other players contributions with my memories of events.
But I like this idea. I'll probably send my new rp if its good enough for safe keeping.
-.- Man, I wish this came about sooner. I lost an MB a few years back, but it had one of the best-no THE best RP I ever started x_x. Now its gone. All gone. I will definitely keep this mind mind for next time though.

Seriously, can we resume this feat? I thought I nearly deleted my own post the other day and freaked when I saw other people potentially had the power to delete their own posts. So yeah, can we find a site to preserve copies of RP's before hurricane eHacker reprises his or her role? Or someone gets emo and deletes their owns posts.
