OOC:
I'm seeing some excellent character development AND plot thickening here people! I'm really looking forward to seeing where these trails all lead.
A hearty welcome to Eggpire, good to have you aboard and a very interesting set of characters, hope to see them in more action soon!
For now, let's all see what happens when Wraith and Lucent try their hand at… civility.
-----------------------------------
IC:
--Downtown Alleyways--
"In the interests of morallity it is my duty to waive my responsibillities as a Freedom Fighter while your life is in danger." Wraith spoke up at last, his voice carefully measured and controlled. "I will do, and indeed have done, everything in my power to keep you from death. But now, you are alive, you seem out of danger...and we both know that Arista isn't the only one in this world that has crimes to answer for, Lucent."
And all the while, Lucent remained perfectly still...
A few seconds of awkward silence passed, all but the watery eyes of Myst kept shifting their focus between the dark, mangled figure of Lucent and the stern opposing figure of Wraith, as if watching some deranged form of tennis.
The silence was broken by the sound of Wraith's shoe touching the ground as the echidna took a single step forward, causing those loyal to Lucent to flinch while the bat himself remained still, not so much as even looking over his own shoulder as he reacted with words rather than actions.
"Tell me… Wraith…"
The bat's voice pierced through the lingering silence at an intensity level not below that of Wraith's single motion, almost in a gesture of immediate competitiveness. It was enough to make Lucent the centre of attention, even garnering the interest of the pious echidna enough to make him halt his advance even if just momentarily.
At last the bat's head turned but not to meet the echidna's gaze accordingly, instead Wraith found only a bandaged eye and a set of teeth addressing him, taunting him.
"…Just who is 'Ari', to you?"
"A comrade Neo Freedom Fighter and a good friend as such" Wraith replied hastily but, as he mentally cursed himself, perhaps too hastily.
The bandaged eye, motionless and yet somehow colder than the gaze Wraith was dealing with before, accompanied a terrible grin of sharp teeth speaking the words "Oh? Is that all?"
"Every one of my comrades is an equal, including myself. Though I'm aware this may seem strange to you, it seems camaraderie is a dying tradition in this world." This time Wraith hesitated but kept his composure, using his precious moments of hesitation to scan over his immediate vicinity again, taking note of the positions and stances of Lucent's loyalists.
The grin became a smirk as Lucent's head swerved to allow his good eye a view of his adversary.
"And yet you go through such lengths to find 'Ari'…"
Wraith's returning gaze was unwavering, he would not allow himself to be intimidated, not even by one as legendarily hostile as the figure before him at this very moment.
"…A single member of what 's known to be quite a vast network of… 'heroes'…" mused Lucent, "and you personally set out to find them instead of sending out groups of your 'comrades' to do it?"
Try as he might to control himself, Wraith could feel his temper worsening as the bat toyed with his patience, "A good leader is always prepared to do the same as what he asks of-!"
"The possibility of her being dead never crossed your mind?" Lucent spoke with a smile.
Tails couldn't reach out to Wraith in time before the echidna snapped.
"ENOUGH!" Wraith's booming voice was enough to make Plugg duck all the way into his trash-can and made the Dirge and Tabby take a step back. They'd all heard enough stories about how strong the leader of the Neo Freedom Fighters was, the legacy of those stories was beginning to become apparent in their knees.
"Lucent! You are hereby under arrest for your crimes against the interests of the decent, hopeful people of this city!" Wraith rose his fists, "I have sworn not to allow you to come to any harm…" once more he scanned the area, "…but if you resist then I will have no choice but to retaliate accordingly!"
"HA!" Lucent's whole body turned to face Wraith's valiant figure, "That's what I cannot STAND about you so-called 'heroes'!" a single finger, he pointed at the echidna "It's bad enough that you all pursue your pitiful, futile goals in life AND you annoyingly never seem to completely die out, but even when you are faced with a situation that calls for bloodlust and everything that you deem 'un-just'…"
Lucent's accusing finger retracted back into his fist and returned to his side as his head tilted upward in a gesture of superiority "…you all try so god-damned pathetically to justify your actions as 'the right thing'. Your indecisive kind disgusts me. What are you echidna? Are you a beggar, or a taker in this world?"
Wraith shifted to a fighting stance "Neither, I'm what keeps people like you from setting rules like that" his fists pounded together "now Lucent, are you co-operative or are you foolhardy?"
The bat smirked "Neither, I'm a tactician!" Immediately Lucent started rapidly giving commands, catching everyone by surprise.
"Dirge, Tabby, Plugg! I do not wish to be followed, make sure it doesn't happen. Do not try to kill him, he will not be able to reply with lethal force if you don't. 'Heroes' can't do that." The bat smirked before breaking out into a swift run in the direction Tabby had specified earlier, towards the mutiny in progress at the bulk of the Nocturne forces.
Dirge and Tabby glanced at each-other nervously before doing their best to swallow their fears, remembering what Lucent said about Wraith before he left. Plugg just emerged from his trashcan enough to yell profanities at Wraith in, what he believed, was a good effort to demoralize the echidna.
Myst stood up and called out to the group, her eyes still teary, "everyone, please stop!"
Tails joined in Myst's efforts to resolve the situation peacefully, "Wraith! Don't lose control, we can settle this!"
"Don't worry" replied Wraith, keeping himself in check, "I'm not losing control." He raised his voice slightly to address his opposition, "Fighting is not necessary. Move aside and we can avoid some trouble."
"Hey, screw you echidna!" shouted Plugg, still within the self-imposed safety of his trashcan, "We ain't lettin' you ruin our chances of gettin' the gang back!"
"Plugg's right!" yelled Tabby, surprising himself with his inclination to agree with Plugg, "If you wanna go after Lucent, you gotta get through us first!"
Dirge took an intimidating stomp toward Wraith and growled, "Lucent's the only one who can stop the others from turncoatin' on us, but even he'll need to get there a.s.a.p judgin' by what Tabby was sayin'." The big grizzly bear clenched his fists tighter, "It might not look it to you, but he trusts us and he's trustin' us right now to keep you from messin' up everything!"
"Come get us, dreadlocks!" shouted a very pumped but not battle-inspired Plugg.
"Shut up Plugg!" shouted the braver two of Lucent's fighters.
Not another word was spoken that moment as Wraith came bearing down on both Dirge and Tabby from atop a high leap, landing a swift blow to the sides of their heads as his arms unfurled with incredible speed from a crossed position against his armored chest.
Like two besieged pillars of stone, Dirge and Tabby hit the ground with a thud, their now unconscious forms composing a caricature of an open gate for Wraith to walk through. Plugg was noticeably silent and not immediately exposed from his hiding place at that moment.
Wraith turned to Myst and Tails who were both stunned at Wraith's display. Wraith snapped them out of it with a command to Tails, "Tails, I'm going after Lucent, keep an eye on me from the sky and come meet up with me once I catch him, I might need your help."
"Wraith, where are we going to take-?"
"We can work that out later, Tails."
Tails nodded in compliance while Myst stared down at Dirge and Tabby.
"It's alright, Myst" Wraith assured her, "I didn't hurt them, just knocked them out for a little bit. They'll come to soon enough."
"Wraith…" Myst spoke softly, "do you have to arrest him? Isn't there anything else…?"
Wraith bowed his head down in melancholy, "…I'm sorry Myst." With that he broke out into a run, chasing after Lucent through the alleyway he saw the bat disappear into.
There was little Tails could do to comfort her, all he could do was try to re-assure her that Wraith would bring Lucent in peacefully before he too sprung into action and took to the skies as Wraith ordered.
Through the dirty alleyways, lined with broken and boarded windows, Wraith dashed as fast as his legs, in their state, could carry him. Leaping over hurdles of discarded junk and over pieces of shattered glass, he let nothing slow him down in his pursuit of one of the most dangerous criminals of the city.
It wasn't until Wraith could see dark blue figure hastily limping up ahead of him suddenly taking notice of him and breaking out into a dash that his head began to fill with more questions about the enigmatic bat.
'Just who are you exactly, Lucent?'
'Where does someone like you come from?'
'And what is holding you together let alone letting you move around like that?'
Keeping track of Lucent up until this point had been based purely on instinct but now the chase was on.
Wraith definitely had the upper hand when it came to speed, even with his injured leg he was able to move at a faster pace than Lucent, who appeared to be struggling. This only made it more curious as to how Lucent planned on taking charge of his potentially mutinous gang upon reaching them.
Quickly Wraith was gaining on Lucent. Closer and closer without letting up, Wraith dared not slow down even the slightest as the end of the alleyway they traversed drew ever nearer. Wraith could begin to hear the sound of a cheering crowd coming from up ahead, there was no doubt that on the other side of this alley was the mass of Nocturne forces. If Lucent got there first, Wraith would have to go out into the open to catch him and whether loyal to Lucent or not, the Nocturnes would surely turn part of if not all their aggression to the leader of the much hated Neo Freedom Fighters.
Lucent must have been a mere few metres away when Wraith cursed his own misfortune as he saw the blue bat make it out of the alley first, his head start being his boon.
Wraith cursed himself again and again as he moved to take cover behind the charred car turned onto its side outside the alley exit that Lucent was now standing atop. Close enough to hear the outcome of Lucent's ordeal, the chase would most certainly not be over yet!
"…time we started takin' matters into our own hands!" Ryan was savoring every wave of cheers his words caused to erupt from the crowd of Nocturnes, even if they were mixed with a minority of disapproving profanities. As his two primary associates, a toad and a parrot stood beneath the busted old cab that he stood upon, arms crossed, the roach was struggling to contain his own excitement. What was this strange rush? This sensation… this feeling of power! It was no wonder people like Lucent lived for this kind of thing!
"RYAN!"
Just as he began to think about his former leader did Ryan set his eyes on the charred car across the street and more specifically the mangled bat standing atop it. It was at that moment that Ryan started doubting how powerful his own voice sounded.
The gaze of the rest of the Nocturnes followed Ryan's as they too heard the shout from across the street, some cheers escaping from the displeased minority from just a moment ago. For the rest, dead silence.
"L….L-Lucent…" stuttered Ryan under his own breath.
Lucent's single exposed eye penetrated through the fumes coming up from the curb-side drain beneath his charred pedestal. Accompanied by the wispy torrents coiling into the air, Lucent's tattered form was all the more terrifying.
"Ryan, you TRAITOR!" Lucent shouted at the roach and pointed an accusing finger at him, a finger that might as well have launched an arrow as Ryan felt pang of fear well up inside him almost instantaneously.
"T-Traitor?!? M-Me? No no Lucent, y-you got it all wrong!" as his confidence dropped, so did Ryan's eyes, but at that moment they fell not upon a patch of ground to look at but instead his two key henchmen who were looking up at him with expressions that were starting to show doubt in the propositions he was making earlier.
At that moment, Ryan had a burst of courage of sorts. Whether it was a wave of more fear or a sudden realization that he had nothing to lose in this situation by at least standing up to Lucent, or even if it was an after-effect of the power rush he was feeling just a moment ago, Ryan spoke out.
"I…I…I-I'm not the traitor h-here Lucent!" arching his back, Ryan pointed a finger right back at Lucent. "NO! I-I think YOU'RE the traitor!"
This got the whole gang murmuring. Lucent was not amused.
"…What!? How DARE you? You insolent little-!"
"CAN IT... LUCY!" shouted Ryan, accompanied by some nervous cheers. "Right from the start, you… you you you were only in it for yourself!" Ryan did not lower his finger, "You keep givin' all these talks about takin' over, 'bout rulin' this city… but you know what I think? I-I-I think, that you don't give a DAMN about us, and and and when we take over, it's gonna be all YOU and not US!"
The crowd was now buzzing and cheering, Lucent was not only un-amused, he was fuming.
"We're sick of you, bat-breath!" Ryan was feeling the adrenaline coursing through him, the pure excitement of it all was causing his brain to go into chemical overdrive, it was like the part of his brain that registers fear was starting to shut down completely.
"We're sick an' tired of being made SCARED all th'time! Scared a'you! You keep givin' us all these promises but at da same time y'keep givin' us all these THREATS! Well, we're SICK OF IT!"
"SCARED? I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT FEAR TRULY IS YOU VERMIN!" Lucent raised his palm in the direction of Ryan, his gesture painting a wave of Nocturnes bracing themselves.
"SVARMINUS PARALIA!"
Ryan screamed out aloud as light blue energy manifested into Lucent's palm in a pattern the Nocturnes knew all too well, it was a pattern that had spelled the doom of endless victims… and now it was his turn. Petrified, he couldn't bring himself to move out of the way, he couldn't even shut his own eyes.
Then he saw it.
A spray of blood erupted into the air, blue energy crackled, dissipated and faded away…
Ryan came back to his senses and regained his composure when he realized what had just happened.
Lucent clutched at his bloodied arm, holding his other hand over where the wound had burst and unleashed a spray of blood that went through the bandage that covered it. Energy still crackled around it, almost mockingly.
The spell had failed, backfired even. Lucent's mind was racing, how had the spell backfired? What went wrong? Why did he now feel so drained all of a sudden?
What started as an almost mad chuckle in disbelief became an eruption of laughter from Ryan that spread like an infectious disease throughout most of the Nocturne gang.
"You… You can't do no magic tricks no more!" shouted Ryan, pointing a mocking finger at Lucent once more.
Lucent could do nothing more but bare his teeth and growl, keeping his hand over his re-opened wound.
Ryan jumped up and down with twisted joy, "oh this is just too perfect! The 'great lucent' is now… not so great!"
The crowd's attention fell back onto Ryan, Lucent felt something he hadn't felt in a long time, a sinking feeling as he realized that the gang was looking in Ryan's direction now because they were disregarding him.
Ryan stomped on the cab upon which he stood and shouted out to Lucent, "Alright Lucent, listen up! All this time you been stringing us along, givin' us this false sense o' hope and whatnot, but where are we now, huh? We just got into a fight with the biggest baddest gang in the city and we had to run for the god-damn hills!"
The crowd cheered Ryan on as he continued and he soaked it all up, "And anudda thing… I don't remember seein' you out on the field there wit' us 'BOSS'! In fact, last I heard, you were goin' after that other freak Sachio, all by your little lonesome! You ABANDONED us, LEFT US FOR DEAD, just so that you could go and get your little revenge!"
Ryan took a step forward on his cab, "You planned this from the START didn't cha? It was never about striking out at the most powerful gang in the city and becomin' the strongest, it was all about YOU and your chance to get revenge for YOURSELF!"
Lucent grinded his teeth.
Ryan grinned with a glint of what some would call power-hungry madness in his eyes, "Well guess what Lucy? You killed Sachio, great job! Seriously, let's give him a hand boys!" As he started to clap mockingly many followed his example and sniggered the whole way at their former leader.
"Now…" muttered Lucent, "YOU listen to ME, YOU PATHETIC WASTE! I AM the gang! I am the SOLE reason for your survival! Without me, you would all be NOTHING!"
The crowd went silent.
"Without me you would all be rotting somewhere in a gutter, while the other gangs squash you all like the bugs that you're making yourselves out to be now… That's what you are without me… you're all BUGS!"
Ryan's mind was too far gone to let Lucent's comeback stop him now, he was not going to lose the gang, he was not going to lose the rush. "Yeah? Well you know somethin'? You're right Lucent! You DID get us this far!"
The whole gang looked up at Ryan with confused glances.
Ryan met them with a mad grin, "So now that we're all so high and mighty, we don't NEED you anymore! That's right! Sachio is dead, he and his sister's gang is in total chaos, WE'RE the big cheeses now! So you know what? I think we can handle everything from here ourselves! We don't need YOU, and we especially don't need your SCARE TACTICS on us no more!"
Lucent lost them, the gang cheered for Ryan with only a minority not taking part in the cheering.
A finger once more pointed at Lucent, "Lucent, I am hereby RELIEVIN' you of bein' boss of da Nocturnes! From now on, you're on your own, pal! And one more thing… I don't even think we need t'be called the 'Nocturnes' no more, do you guys?"
The gang shook their heads and said 'no' many times, anything to please their new visionary leader.
"YEAH! I think from now on, we'll be called… THE STINGERS!"
The gang began to murmur amongst themselves in mixed opinions about the name.
Ryan slapped his forehead, "okay okay, we'll work on the name, a'ight? For now, extra food shares for whoever brings me Lucy's big ugly head!"
With cheers and sniggers and weapons raised in the air, the gang began to advance upon their former leader. Lucent could only watch in horror as his world started falling apart in front of him, there was nothing he could do now to stop them! He didn't have any words that could snap them out of their ignorant bloodlust stupor, experience with gangs had taught him that at this point only brute force would make them reconsider, but he didn't have the energy nor the body to put up a fight against one gang member let along the horde advancing toward him.
Stunned as his mind went into overdrive trying to think of some way to salvage the situation, Lucent could not move from his spot and he began to feel a panic akin only to that he experienced when on the verge of death dangling from the cliff edge with Sachio clinging onto his now broken wing.
Wraith made his move and in one swift and well planned swoop, grabbed Lucent from behind the charred car, pulling him away from immediate danger and propping him up to help bolt back down the alleyway that they had been running along just moments ago.
Before the 'Stingers' could process what just happened and react accordingly, they all became distracted by something in the sky that one of the gang pointed out.
A large area of the gang was illuminated instantaneously as a bright light shone down on them from a G.U.N helicopter making its way to the scene. Everyone had been so loud and obnoxious that no-one took notice of the background noises around them, even something as loud as a helicopter.
The pilot of the G.U.N chopper spoke out to the gang through a megaphone, "Stay right where you are, all of you! You are all hereby placed under arrest by order of-!"
Before he could even finish, the gang had already begun scattering in random directions, running in the direction of where Ryan was standing to begin with, perhaps seeking some sort of solace under the guidance of their newly assigned leader. Those who weren't happy with Ryan's reign simply scampered off wherever they could. Ryan's two main bodyguards took him by the shoulders and ran out of the scene as well.
Inside the chopper the co-pilot turned to his accomplice and said "I told you that wasn't going to work!"
The helicopter hovered in the air and made its best efforts to pursue the largest group it could find, the pilot practically screaming into his radio wondering why the hell his backup wasn't in the correct formation to capture any fleeing gang members like he'd been assured just a moment before making his move with the spotlight.
Meanwhile, Running through an alleyway with a bewildered and speechless Lucent hanging over his shoulder, Wraith kept on running and signaled to Tails up in the air to come down and avoid being spotted by the nearby G.U.N choppers.
"Wraith!" Tails shouted as he swooped down to fly by Wraith's side as he ran, "A whole bunch of G.U.N choppers are coming in from all sides, I lost sight of you while I was trying to avoid detec-"
Wraith interrupted Tails with an unprecedented falter as he accidently tripped over a segment of broken pipe sticking out of the ground when he looked up to see Tails.
As he tripped, he dropped Lucent who then rolled a few meters ahead only to be stopped by a pile of filthy papers.
"Wraith are you alright?"
"Unngghh…" Wraith groaned as he got up, rubbing a hand over his bumped head.
"You butter-fingered cretin!" shouted Lucent, standing upright and practically foaming at the mouth as a result of all the frustration he'd endured, "is it customary for all 'heroes' to go dabbling into the affairs of others or is it just unique to a select few who suffer from some sort of mental impairment?"
"HEY!" shouted Wraith in return, "Incase you've forgotten already, you were about to be torn apart back there! I said I wouldn't allow your life to be in danger and I came through for-"
"Mark my words, echidna!" spat Lucent, "You're very fortunate that I'm without my emerald or else it would be YOUR life that would be in danger!"
"Emerald?" said Tails and Wraith in unison.
Lucent paused for a moment and then groaned at his own sudden daftness, all this stress was really starting to get to him and his injuries were not making the whole experience any more bearable. He'd let his temper get the best of him and he'd revealed a piece of valuable information. No matter though, for there was little use for such information in a situation like now anyhow.
"Lucent…" started Wraith, "just what was it exactly that Ari stole from you?"
Lucent simply turned and walked away without reply as Tails and Wraith both watched.
"Hey! Get back he-!"
"Wraith, can I talk with you for a second?" interrupted Tails as he landed to pull Wraith aside and let Lucent limp a little further away so that he couldn't hear them.
"There's no doubt about it, Lucent must have had a chaos emerald and now Arista's stolen it!" whispered Tails.
Wraith nodded and groaned, "Right. That would explain why he's so hell-bent on killing her."
Tails' ears drooped down, "Wraith, the energies of a chaos emerald are powerful and unpredictable. Some people can even tap into the power of a single emerald, sometimes through just strong emotions alone, especially negative ones!"
Wraith already knew where Tails was going with this, but let him continue.
"We know that Arista is probably in a bad way and not working with the Nocturnes anymore…" Tails trailed off a little, "…I hate to say it, but we really don't know who she might be working with now. For all we know she may be using the emerald as a bargaining chip to help her chances of survival."
At this point, Wraith was holding back a lot of negative emotions himself. He didn't want to believe that Ari was working with more thugs after her temporary alliance with the Nocturnes, but the melancholy truth was that it was definitely a possibility at this point.
Tails sighed before continuing, "Lucent seems to be dead set that Arista has it, and he just said that if he had his emerald then he'd be able to kill us. I'm betting he's able to tap into an emerald's power, and if that's the case then he might be able to sense where it is!"
Wraith knew that keeping an emerald out of a villain's hands was an important goal, and he certainly didn't want Lucent to get back this emerald he spoke of... But inside, Wraith knew that getting the emerald out of Lucent's hands wasn't the first thing that came to mind when Tails spoke. No, Wraith's thoughts lay with Arista. A feeling of guilt washed over the echidna as he realised that it was his personal embition of getting Arista back so he could talk to her that really drove him right now, it ashamed him to think that although pursuing the emerald would achieve both goals, inside his head thoughts of his personal woes was dominating his sense of duty, just this one time. All Wraith could do was gently nudge Tails aside and gather his thoughts as he took a firm stride towards Lucent's lumbering frame, intent on fixing some problems and calming his head.
"Lucent!" Wraith called out, Tails following behind him.
Lucent didn't reply, even as Wraith drew close enough to be a mere meter or so away from him.
"Lucent, I need to talk to you." Wraith took note of the droplets of blood falling from the arm that Lucent was clutching.
With a cough, Lucent replied without turning his head, "approach me… and I'll kill you…" Lucent himself knew that the threat was an empty one in his condition.
Wraith took a few steps forward and placed himself right in front of Lucent, blocking his path and meeting the gaze of his one good eye with a stern, no-nonsense expression.
"Now listen…"

OOC:
TAG, WRAITH!
Plenty more posts to come, though bare with me if my next few are much smaller, I'm coming to a very busy time university-wise, I will still try my best to make them awesome.
Also sorry for there being no new Rise and Fall arts yet guys, same reason as above for that. Don't worry though, they will be drawn.
Keep on postin' y'all!
OOC:
Just a quick update. Uni life is messed up at the moment and shows no sign of slowing down so I won't be posting an ICs till my semester is over, not that it looks like that will be a problem atm XD. Also don't have any ideas for progression of my part atm either. Anyway nothing much of interest has happened to me lately, just thought I'd chuck something up here to prevent our thread from dropping off the page ^^. Catch yas!
(OOC: I'll put in a word for any who might not have heard too - I'm sorry for my absence all, but this past month or two I have been really - seriously - ill, and have been able to do or focus on very little. I'm still picking myself up from that, and I'm afraid I have no idea how long it's gonna take me, so again, I appoligise. I sent one or two people PMs explaining this to them, but I haven't been able to post up in the thread until now.
But yeah, I have not forgotten about this, and will post IC as soon as I am able to do so.)
Please forgive the bumpage, but I thought it best I put in a word here as well as in the RP Discussion Thread, as it seems appropriate.
To all those in this thread, I just want to appologise - majorly - for my dissapearance. As I said in the discussion thread, it breaks my heart to think that I was responsible for killing this one off a second time. I really wanted to post, but because of illness and other things in real life at the time I was unable; I was really -seriously- going through the wars at that point. And then as time went on, even though I was still having difficulties, I kinda ended up forgetting about this. And I could kick myself a hundred times over for doing so. Even though it was running slow at the time and others were having problems too, I think it was probably my lack of posting that really put the nail in the coffin here, and I don't know what to say. I can only hope all of you, Ben, Eclipse, Seleth, Egg, Pach, anyone else who I may have missed, can forgive me for this one guys. I did NOT want to see this end, at all! And to think I could have been the one to cause it's downfall...
I'm sorry, everyone.
~Wraith
Hey don't be too hard on yourself man, everybody kinda drift from here a while ago. Personally I don't think this has to be considered dead yet but if it is then its certainly not all on your head. Funnily enough I've been thinking recently that, now I've almost finished uni for the semester I might try and put up a post just for kicks *cough* (we'll see if that actually happens considering my track record so far). If you want to make a post then go for it. It might trigger off a new revival. Sorry to hear you got so sick. Sounds like it was pretty bad.
lol well true, this has been through enough pauses and breakages to suggest there may still be hope for it I guess. I'm not sure though. I might try and put up a post just for the hey of it as you said, we'll see. Thanks for the reassurances bro at any rate.
OOC: Ha ha, what's the chance of a reassemblage then? XD
btw hope you're feeling better Wraith.
(OOC: I dunno but I'm formulating ideas for another post, if only for old-times' sake. May take a while but I'm gonna put something extra up here when I can. And thanks for the well wishes...I'm still not well at all, but I'm trying to find an equilibrium on which I can at least continue as long as I have to.)
There is no beef from me Wraith! I can kinda relate to your position! Its totally a drag when something in life such as illnesses holds you back from doing the things you enjoy doing the most! Sometimes it seems unfair to say the least, but even the worst of the worst gets better over time! Best wishes and hope to see post from ya soon!
OOC: Nostalgic post. Man can't believe this thing started back in 2005.
Time sure does fly, eh?
OOC (but does that even matter?):
The best part is that this RP hasn't seen activity in over a year yet it's still on the guilds front page. I didn't join in until way late in the game, but I had a lot of fun here. It was probably my favorite RP I took part in back in 2008, and that includes my own (such as Herald). This RP makes a very entertaining read, and the mere fact that the players kept it alive for so ong is a testament to that. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't be talking about as if it were my best friend. After all I only got in no more than five ICs, but still it made an impression on me! ^^
OOC: You random bunch of randomers.
Well, would you want to start it up again or not?
Choice is yours. I have some time on my hands. I realise there's probably a pessimistic sigh going on in everyone's heads and the trouble of regathering...
Unless I start a new thread with a reboot and summary with all that has happened? I do really want to roleplay again.
Hope you're all well!
I wouldn't mind rping with you all again, but its been so long since I played in this particular rp that I honestly can't remember the majority of details contained in it. I'd rather be up for something new but that depends on everyone else.
Getting everybody together for Rise and Fall might be difficult so I ditto what Pach said. Something new would probably be for the best.
Good point. Awesome man. I'll think of something then
In the meantime I've read Mike's RP intro thing so I'll join that too.
Cheers for the response guys!
Yeah, isn't Wraith really busy and scarce now? I forget if I was involved with this one or wanted to be involved. But I know I've read it from time to time at least.
In the meantime I've read Mike's RP intro thing so I'll join that too.
Wooooo!
