"Ne Ne Ne, Lock up me? No More!" he laughed to himself with a wide grin.
With a cackle the Rabbit looked at David. "Please don't point that gun at me, or you'll be full of holes like cheese!" he laughed as he twirled his Luger around his fingers.
Trey frowned and gritted his teeth as his eyes narrowed to look up towards Delougere. A low growl was emanating from his mouth as he found himself to positively hate this situation even more then it was a moment ago. Of course, before things were hectic and time was especially short, but now, throw in this mad hatter one with explosives, and you found yourself in an even worse situation.
One thing though that made him tense up, but not yet move, was the guys allegiances. Was he a friend or foe? He had made no evidence of either if he was to be an enemy, wouldnt he have already blown them up? Or would the sadistic rabbit rather take pleasure in making them feel pain?
What do you want with us? Whose side are you on? he asked.
Angel twirled her metal rod warningly, nodding at Trey's words and fixing a glare on the strange rabbit. The striped vixen was thinking along the same lines as the cheetah, her fur standing on end. She knew she was a pretty good sprinter, and pretty quick on her feet too. But would she be quick enough if this guy decided to blow their brains out? Knowing that they were treading thin ice, Angela just decided to remain quiet, awaiting DeLougere's response.
Asher on the other hand, fingered his sword with a calm look on his face. The tabby fox knew what would happen if one of them made the wrong move. He knew the situation, knew that bombs were a big no-no and a thing to be feared. But on the other hand, he told himself to keep calm, and keep a level-head...
"Tic Tock, your decision is." he cackled.
"Eh?" Trey raised a eyebrow.
"Allegiance mine? Yours or his?" DeLougere cackled again. But the rabbit spoke again. "I offer help, decline or accept? Tic toc the running clock. He he!" the rabbit laughed with a wide grin.
Trey was utterly confused by this statement as first through his wierd mannerisms, but quickly understood by what he meant. The decision of whether he was an enemy or ally was up to them, and whilst it would normall not be a difficult decision to make, this was an exception. Mostly because he was dangerous.
If he was on their side... if he was allowed to join with them, he could follow, atack them or hurt at any time, be it intentionally or not, through his madness instead. Trey certainly did not want someone so mentally instable on his team or on his side, especially one backing explosives.
But if they neglected him joining on their side... he could just throw a bomb at them now. Either way seemed like a bad decision... but at the very least, it would be better for them to accept him as an ally. It would at least buy them a chance and some time and maybe... maybe he could be a useful ally. In this desperate world, one where weapons were pretty scarce to come by unless you were working in GUN, he seemed packed with explosives... and that was something at least.
"I... would like you to be on our side, rather then against. But that is just my opinion... Delougere? Or do you prefer Hazel?" Trey spoke.
Asher and Angela nodded to each other, before agreeing. "We share the same opinion as well. We'd like to be your ally."
The twins were aware of how eerie they sounded when the spoke in unison, but DeLougere seemed not to be aware of this fact.
"Hazel is here, but he is not home - so call me DeLougere." he smiled before backflipping onto the ground. "Good choice you make, I blow thing up for you." he smiled.
"Uh sure...thanks, DeLougere." Trey responded.
The rabbit smirked as he straightened his duffel bag which held his explosives and holstered his Luger handgun.
"So what were your plan? Who you attacking?" he raised his eyebrows before snickering.
Trey extended his left arm and waved it downwards, to emphasise his speech of no hostilities.
"N-no one at the moment... DeLougere." Trey spoke. "We're on a search and rescue mission at the moment. Were looking for a female red fox. Her names Arista you wouldnt have happened to see someone like that?
"Lu? No, can't say that I have. But maybe I will help you on this quest? Yes?" he grinned. The bugged out rabbit scratched one of his ears as he leaned aganist a building.
"Why you find, want to find?" he asked.
"What?" Trey said.
"Stutter I did not....why you want find?" he said.
"Well we want to find her because...." Trey began finally getting what the rabbit was getting at.
(OOC: I'm back all^^)
"We don't have time for this." grumbled Max, turning and setting off down the road. "The guy's a nutcase! Leave him here!"
Trey looked round urgently, holding up a hand. "Max, wait!"
"Big ugly Maxy not like little me-me?" DeLougere murmured, advancing towards the buldog slowly. His voice suddenly had a sinister note to it, and his face bore a wide-eyed leer. "Big pity, very sad..." His hand was straying to the gun on his belt again.
David stepped forward, placing himself in between the Rabbit and Max. "We are looking for Miss Arista because she is our friend." he stated, matter-of-factly. "She has gone missing and we are concerned for her welfare."
Angel stepped forward too, smiling to try and defuse the tense situation. "Don't mind Max, he's just a little on edge." she murmured softly.
Max, who had stopped walking as the others had spoken, snorted in laughter, but his eyes remained locked on the rabbit, his arm tense near his belt...
"Friend...Friend, Friend?" the rabbit took awhile before he could register the word in thought. He nodded afterward and chuckled lightly.
"Oh, friend disappear want find. Not want anything bad happen?" he blinked.
Trey nodded. "Exactly."
"Like when Hazel wanted family, wanted them be okay, realize in the end that they... dead." the personality of DeLougere seemed not to be bothered talking about his 'sane' self.
"Yeah..." Asher said, his calm expression replaced with wariness. The tabby fox slowly backed up to where Max was standing, all the while keeping his eye on DeLougere.
"Yo, Max," He whispered. "That guy is a walking nuke, 'kay? Let's put it that way. He could blow our brains out."
Max flinched, "I know that! So why bother makin' friends with 'im?"
"Because," Ash continued, "If we stay on his good side, he might not try to eliminate us all."
"Oh that's a bonus!" muttered Max sarcatically. "I got a plan B for you. We put a hole in his head right now and leave him for the men in white coats to find!"
David, stodd slightly in front of them, turned around, his face puzzled. "Sir." he said, keeping his voice down same as the others did. "I was informed that the Neo-Freedom Fighters were dedicated to peace and justice!"
Max gave a curt nod. "Right," he replied, "when the subject can be reasoned with! This guy is mentally unstable! We can't trust him!"
"I offer to observe him." said David quietly. "My reactions should be quick enough to intervene should he attempt to cause trouble, and with my strength I believe I could restrain him if nessecarry."
"He's carrying weapons, and I no doubt believe he knows how to use them," Trey added in, trying to get Max to understand his way of thinking. "He's unstable, there's no doubting it. But consider this, he's carrying some serious fire power. As it is one could describe him as a one man army."
"And for that we should take him out now before he has the chance to do it to us!" Max shouted back, still unconvinced. Trey simply raised his only one good arm with his hand flat out in a stopping gesture.
"We wouldn't even have the chance to take him out. Simple as that. Better to have him on our side rather then against. And anyway..." Trey walked up to Max and lowered closer to Max's height and towards his side, his head lowered to the side of Max's own head, and specifically his ear. He spoke in a soft whisper so no one else could hear. "Like I said, he's virtually a one man army. He's unstable, true... but if we sicced him on our enemies, just think about the amount of damage he could do to them, and end up helping us, too."
Name: Rufus Feller
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Species: Jack Russel Terrier (Canine)
Weapon (if any): A long steel sword with various inscriptions on it, with a golden hilt and blue cloth wrapped on the middle of the hilt. A emerald is placed in the middle of the end of the sword. His second weapon being a Sage is knowledge.
Abilities: As a Sage he has a vast knowledge on history and such. He also is one of the greatest swordsmen on the planet and is his proficency.
Background: From a generation of Sages and Swordmen from a hidden kingdom from the world. Though not uninformed about the modern world. Rufus is a interesting fellow and if you want to know anything he will help you in knowledge pursuement or ally pursuement. He is a godo ally, but a bit obvious for his personality.
"Your worst enemy can be your best friend. But your best friend can be your worst enemy. Intriguing postition. Eh?" a voice said from the shadows. In which a dog wearing a long formal robe-vest in a maroon color with black designs on it stood. He had dark royal blue cloth pants, and brown leather boots. A royal blue tanktop under the vest and a godlen amulet with a emerald in the cener stood around his neck. A long sheath placed on the dog's back. And white fur color with brown patches.
"Who the--"
"I am but a Sage, that couldn't help to overhear your conversation, friend."
"Huh, yeah, but a sage isn't exactly the best of people one would need in this world, my friend. Still, wisdom could be something, that is, if we could trust you." Trey spoke, moving away from Max and towards the newcomer, but then laid his eyes on the Sage's sword.
"But it looks like you've got some means of weapon. Strange though. I thought one who is meant to be a Sage... someone who is enlightened and so knowledgable, wouldn't have to resort to using weapons. That is, if you are actually a sage." Trey further spoke, narrowing his eyes as he looked towards him with a bit of distrust. Too many strange newcomers were coming towards them, and they didn't have the time to deal with them. They had to find Arista before she got into too great a danger. They had to.
"Hey, David, how about you alert us when your sensors pick up somebody like this? You failed to mention ol'bunny boy, and now this guy. Next time alert us when someone's around, okay? For all we know it could be Sachio or Morgraine, and they're allowed to just get this close without us being aware then we're dead, understand?" Max spoke, a bit irritated towards the robot being.
David bowed low. "My apollogies sir. I didn't deem it nessecary since we are not yet in the Downtown area. I will begin doing so from now on."
Max was stood with his arms folded. "Trey's right though, we need to get going." he muttered. He turned to face the Sage, putting his hands on his hips. "Okay bud, you obviously made yourself known for a reason. Now let us know what it is, then we can be on our way to find our friend."
============================================================
(OOC: I've been asked to carry this on, so I will^^)
With a roar of engines the two cars thundered up onto the overpass, screeching their tires as they skidded round the sharp curve. One black, one dark purple, with gold wheels, they were quite a sight in the morning sun as they roared down the deserted freeway!
In the lead car, the black one, Wraith was sat behind the driving wheel, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. "How far?" he asked.
Lexx, sat in the passenger seat, looked at the map desplayed on the car's on-board computer system. "They joined the freeway at 23rd," he said, "so they'll probably be coming up to junction 7 by now."
Wraith sighed. "We've got to get them before they hit the junction. We wouldn't know which way they went!" He picked up the mic for the cars radio and pressed the button on the side. "S1 to S2, we've got to pick up the pace. Let's spray!"
The other car acknowledged, and Wraith replaced the microphone. Glancing at the others in his car, he grinned slightly. "Hold on tight...here we go!" Reaching across with his thumb, he pressed a button on the steering wheel.
The roar of the engine soared to new hights as the Nitrus flowed into it, and both cars launched forward like bullets, the surroundings blurring into obscurity because of the speed! Wraith was concentrating hard. Even without NOS the road was trecherous! Chunks of masonry from the surrounding buildings littered the road, and some of the lamp-posts had collapsed. There were even some points where the overpass itself had weakened, bits of it collapsing and leaving gaping holes where the road should have been! It took quick reactions and a lot of concentration to dodge the obsticles.
But at the moment concentration was something Wraith was slightly lacking. He couldn't stop thinking about Ari! Dang what had he done, telling her how he felt about her??? If anything should happen he'd never forgive himself! Ari...Ari I'm sorry...
"WRAITH!"
Wraith started and jammed the wheel hard right, slamming on the brakes. The car went into a spin, smoke rising from the tires and engulfing the veichle in a smoke screen. The ocupants held on for dear life as the G-forces grabbed at them, pulling them to the sides of the car...
...and suddenly, it all stopped. The car had come to rest, it's back end inches from the large chunk of concrete they had been heading for.
A voice came on the radio: "Boss, boss, you ok???"
"We're okay." replied Wraith as he watched the other Skyline roar past. "Keep going, we'll follow you!"
"Want me to drive boss?" muttered Lexx quietly.
"No, I'll be okay.It won't happen again." Jabbing the accelerator Wraith spun the wheels and the car skidded round and accelerated off in the correct direction again.
"Coming up on the junction." said Lexx, looking at the map once again. "There! We have them!" He pointed to a small flashing dot that had appeard on the edge of the screen. "They're heading south!"
Wraith nodded his head at the mic. "Tell the others." he replied. "It's time to deal out some justice."
Asher gripped his sword, suddenly feeling like a freak-show in a traveling circus. First DeLougere, then this...Sage! Like Max, the tabby fox was willing to bet that the next people to surprise them would be Sachio and Morgaine. And by the time they'd know of the two hedgehogs' presence, they might as well be dead. Asher sidled up to his sister, whispering through gritted teeth.
"Angel, we need to locate Arista. After all, this is what we came to do, right?" He hissed, pleased that his sister was frowning in thought. "And while I think it nice to have so many new friends, I really think we should get going."
Angela nodded. "I hear ya bro. But at the moment, I don't think there's anything we can do."
The sage blinked. "In this day and age one needs to know the knowledge to defend thyself." he stepped out of the shadows and nodded. "I wish to accompany you. If you do not mind me." he bowed.
DeLougere looked at the Sage. "Doggy with Knife, hi hi hi!" he grinned.
The sage simply chuckled, already knowing the figure from his vast knowledge. "Heh." he turned to the sane figures. "Do you require me or not?"
"Doggy good ally he has knife!" DeLougere widely grinned.
Max leaned over slightly so his head was close to the others. "Mister screwloose seems to like him." he muttered quietly. "I say we bring him along to keep DeLooroll happy at the very least."
"Agreed." Trey said, without much hesitation, if only to get the group moving again. "We move downtown then, and do what I suggested, right? It seems the most logical and practical decision. David stays in the centre of us, monitoring anyone within the distance he manage... was it half a mile? Anyway, we each split up and move to the maximum radius from David that he can monitor, so he can still monitor us and anyone in between. We'll then also have an extra range of finding Arista from our own sight, but we'll have to progress stealthily and with care since we'll be on our own. And if we see anyone who isn't Arista and looks dangerous," Trey stopped slightly to turn and look towards Delougre, as if he was emphasising it to the rabbit. "...we do not engage them unless otherwise neccessary, okay?"
The others nodded, understanding it.
"The only problem is communications. Do anyone have any communicators so we can keep up to date with each other?"
Max clicked his fingers. "I knew we'd forgotten something...rushing out so quickly." He thought for a moment. "Darn, this turn of events has wrong-footed all of us! We'll have to go back and get them, unless anyone has any other ideas?"
============================================================
The dot on the map was close now.
The two cars roared along side by side as they chased the pickup. It wouldn't be long before...
"There." said Lexx, pointing to the black shape on the highway ahead.
The truck was big, with large wide-guage tires and bull bars all round. Clearly a lot of time had been spent in toughening it up...whoever this gang was, they were pros. Two members were sat in the seats, the other five were in the back of the truck. They hadn't noticed their persuers yet.
"Lexx, give them a warning shot." said Wraith, picking up the car's mic and flicking a switch on the radio. The Gorilla nodded and leaned out of the window, aiming carefully with his automatic.
As the bullets whistled over the gang's heads they spun round and ducked, panicing. Wraith held the microphone up to his mouth. "Game over guys." he said, his voice being broadcast over the car's speaker system. "Drop your weapons and give yourselves up and you won't be harmed."
The gang stared in shock at the two cars for a moment, then they ducked down and grabbed their own weapons, sending a hail of bullets at the two machines! Fortunately the bullet-proofing did it's job and the bullets ricoched harmlessly to the floor.
"I don't think they're gonna co-operate." muttered Wraith, flicking the car's mic back to radio mode. "S2 we're going to go ahead. Stay behind them and try to box them in." With that he floored the accellerator and the black Nissan roared alongside the pickup.
The driver of the other veichle saw the move. Narrowing his eyes, he swung the wheel hard right! The massive pickup dived across the freeway, slamming the side of the car with a sickening CRASH!
"Dang!" exclaimed Wraith as the car shook from the impact. "They're insane!"
"That pickup can take it though!" retorted Lexx, looking across at the re-enforced machine. "It's armoured like a tank!"
"Hang on!" called Wraith as the truck once again roared towards them. The impact was bone-crunching, and the smaller car was thrown sideways, narrowly missing the barrier of the highway! "This sucks." muttered Wraith, easing off the accelerator and dropping behind the truck. "We get in front of them they'd just batter us from behind."
"Hold it steady boss." replied Lexx. "I'll take out their tires." He began to lean out of the window, but Wraith pulled him back.
"You insane? You'll get yourself shot!"
"It's the only way we can stop them Wraith! Besides, I think I can take out the tires and be back in before they can target me."
Suddenly the radio crackled into life. "S2 to S1, if we're planning anything we may wanna do it right now!"
Wraith and Lexx looked round in unison, and blinked in suprise! One of the gang members in the back had reached down into the truck's back and picked up a large bazooka, and he was currently in the process of arming and aiming it!
"Go for it Lexx!" growled Wraith through gritted teeth. The Gorilla nodded and leaned out the window, taking aim at the truck's large tires.
BANG!
The power of the blowout rocked the truck, and knocked the gang members in the back off balance. The driver of the truck began to spin the wheel, trying to stablize the skidding machine...
...but he turned too much.
Off balance with the weight and the lack of grip, the top-heavy pickup skidded sideways and overturned, barrel-rolling down the road like a football! Guns and ammo went flying into the air, some of them exploding as they impacted with the surrounding scenery! The five gang members in the back of the truck were thrown in all directions, two of them landing on the road in front of the Neo-Freedom Fighter's cars! Wraith slammed on the brakes and spun the wheel, desperately trying to avoid the bodies.
The truck's momentum kept it rolling for over forty meters, decapitating lamp-posts and flattening barriers! It finally slammed a large piece of masonry that had fallen from a nearby skyscraper and skidded across the carriageway, coming to rest precariously close to a large hole in the overpass. The cab of the veichle, heavily armoured like the rest of the truck, had survived the crash suprisingly well, and the two occupants were still alive and consious.
Wraith and the others had jumped out of their cars and were examining the other gang members, aiding them where possible. Leaving the others to their work, Wraith signaled for Lexx to follow him and the two set off rinning down the road towards the wrecked truck. No sooner had they stepped away from the cars, though, than a hail of bullets streaked towards them from the truck! They lept for cover behind a large metal girder nearby.
"Great..." muttered Wraith sourly. "They want to fight to the death, it would seem."
DeLougere grinned, he remembered he had put two comlinks with enough power in them for a week in his duffel bag. He laughed insanely for a momment before he opened his bag and looked to the group who were all staring at him. He threw two comlinks at Max.
"Wakka Wakka Wakka!" he grinned widely.
"Two's good, but not enough." Trey explained. "We'll be splitting up into more smaller groups then two can handle, but the thought's nice." Trey did a half smile, just to try and please the rabbit. "Most of us will be going on our own, but either way it would be better if we each have one. So that would be..." Trey took a pause to look around and count up the number of people. 7. "We need 7 of them. Surely it wouldn't take long for you to get them, right Max?"
The gunfight between Wraith, Lexx, and the two remaining gang members suddenly stopped short, the shooting between them ending when a sudden sound jolted their attention to look towards the sky, towards a helicopter, and to a person speaking out from it with a megaphone.
"This is the G.U.N army! Both of you gangs drop your weapons, put your hands over your head and fall to the ground and surrender immediately! You've caused enough damage now, we're taking you in!" demanded one of the men from the above helicopter.
Wraith sighed to himself. He had forgotten about G.U.N, and that, no matter even if they were stretched in having to respond to the crime, something as big as this would of course attract their attention. They had two helicopters in the sky, hovering above the four men and circling the wreckage of the rig.
"Uh, Wraith. That's not the only problem we've got, look." Lexx said, holding onto Wraith shoulder and turning him around to look behind him, and to the rest of his gang, the enemy gang, and their vehicles.
Behind them was a whole squad of GUN vehicles and heavily armed and armoured soldiers who had surrounded both gangs along the whole highway and was in the process of taking them into custody and securing some of Wraith vehicles, much to his dismay. They had been following the group's chase for a while now, and had at last caught up to them. Needless to say, Wraith, Lexx and his gang were in a bad position.
"I repeat, drop your weapons and surrender!"
(OOC: A thought Pach, Wraith and Lexx aren't shooting back atm. Wraith doesn't carry guns, and they want to try to find a peaceful solution if at all possible. Just a small detail, but it does keep Wraith and Lexx in-character better.
Also, the reason I carried this on was because someone else is hoping to join and they figured this would give them oppertunity. That's why I was doing it in long posts, so we could quickly get to the point where he can join. Because of this, GUN's appearence on the scene, while realistic and a clever idea, is a little unfortunate timing wise.
Leave that bit as-is for now. We'll see if we can figure a way to intro him as it stands. Other than that, we may be asking you if it's ok to edit just a little if that's ok. Sorry for being a pain. I'll get back to you on that one.)
IC:
"No, I don't think so...especially with the idea I just had." replied Max, turning and fixing his eyes on David. The robot inclined it's head.
"Sir?"
"You can move fast right?"
"Ah, you wish for me to collect the transmitters?"
Max nodded. "You'd be able to do it quickest out of all of us."
"That is technically true, sir, however I do not know the location of the transmitters in the base."
"I'll sort that." Max pulled out his mobile and dialled a number. "Kedra, it's Max. Listen, we need seven radio transmittersout here. We're sending David...you know, the robot. We're sending him back to get them. Have them ready okay?" He paused as Kedra answered, then mutterd "Great. Thanks." He hung up and put the phone back in his pocket. "Okay, go get em."
David nodded and, turning, he set off running back the way they had come. His acceleration was impressive, and he had dissapeared down the long street in seconds!
"Darn, he is fast." muttered Asher, staring after the robot wide-eyed.
(OOC: Fair enough, Wraith. I just thought a situation like that would of course demand GUN to be on the scene since they are the military/police force, afterall and a battle between two gangs would have them involved. Sorry if it did interrupt any plans and hopefully we can work something out.
Btw, who is this other person who might consider joining? )
(OOC: Yeah don't worry Pach, it's reallistic and exciting that GUN should turn up! All I'm thinking is postponing it a little. Anywho we may not need to change it anyway^^
And the newcomer is a friend of Eclipses called Seleth. He's got a cool character lined up! He's a little bisy atm but he's gonna be joining asap.)
"Uh, Wraith. That's not the only problem we've got, look." Lexx said, holding onto Wraith shoulder and turning him around to look behind him, and to the rest of his gang, the enemy gang, and their vehicles.
Behind them was a whole squad of GUN vehicles and heavily armed and armored soldiers who had surrounded both gangs along the whole highway and was in the process of taking them into custody and securing some of Wraith vehicles, much to his dismay. They had been following the group's chase for a while now, and had at last caught up to them. Needless to say, Wraith, Lexx and his gang were in a bad position.
"I repeat, drop your weapons and surrender!"
A figure jumped from a large building roof which towered over the highway, and onto a sacaffold on the side of the highway. Apparently parts of the highways were n some sort of ill-repair but the figure jumping wasnt noticeable for that reason.
He blinked downward.
Hed heard of Wraith and of his faction. GUN of course wasnt evil in theory but they were stepping in and stopping a revolution that was for the better.
Sirus himself believed these freedom fighters could restore the planet to its former glory. But it looks like they needed his assistance.
He smirked as he jumped from the scaffold, his maroon cloaked-robe flowing behind him in the wind. As he landed next to Wraith he smirked.
Need some assistance?
damn ezboard ate my post >_<, cant be bothered writing it again so ill make this short. basically i was saying sorry for making everyone wait so long and that ive been pretty busy with hw atm. my post is taking a little longer to create then i expected but it should be up soon. just so everyone knows that im still interested im going to post up my profile and ill add the IC later. thanks to james for letting me use this guy and thanks also to Wraith for helping me out. anywayz here he is. if i do anything wrong please let me no, this is my first time in an RP ^^;.
Name: Sword
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Species: Eagle
Weapon (if any): 1 primary and 3 secondary blades on each arm and his talons (also has a very pointed beak but he never bites people in battle so it doesnt count).
Abilities: The blades on his arms are actually wing feathers that have been trained by Sword, using a method known only by his old village, to harden and develop a sharp edge able to slice effectively through many materials. As the feathers themselves changed they lost the shape and weight required to maintain lift and thus he is unable to fly and has extremely limited gliding capability. Curiously his blades are also retractable despite the fact that it appears physically impossible. This is useful in causing enemies to underestimate Sword.
He is also able to surround his primary blades with energy using his own energy reserves. Gathering the energy required for this takes a few moments giving the opponent and opening for an attack and can be sustained, with Swords current capabilities, for little more than a minute.
Sword relies more on agility and attack speed rather than strength to win battles and is very acrobatic in his fighting style.
Hobbies: Training to improve his fighting style and the length of time in which he can sustain an energy aura around his blades (though this is more of an obsession than a hobby).
Quirks: Has a phobia for large bodies of water such as the ocean and large lakes.
Sword show little emotion throughout day to day life. He his quite happy to make friends and allies with people however always remain emotionally detached from them in an attempt to protect himself should anything happen. It is very difficult to anger Sword however if he is angered in battle he enters a state of Battle Rage. In this state his attacks become more powerful but his swings are much larger and wilder making them easier to dodge. As he looses focus he is unable to correctly execute a number of his techniques and can no longer perform combinations of attacks.
He only reveals his blades when he is faced with a strong opponent, or is in a tight situation in order to hide his true strength as best he can. He has an aversion to killing and will very rarely finish someone off at the end of a fight. Originating from a village of warriors he has a great sense of honour and will only attack those who are unarmed if he still perceives them as a threat. He also will not attack those who are unable to defend themselves.

OOC: Howdy everyone!
Just letting you all know that i will be posting soon, i just didn't get time tonight because posting in another RP has been so hectic because there is a part of the story that i have just become absoloutely lost on in terms of where to go with my next post. basically i spent all my time tonight trying to straighten that out, and i didn't end up posting any IC in that RP, i had to message a fellow RP-er for suggestions and merely post an OOC. -_-
Sorry again people, i know i havent been here for a while.
in other news, OMGDZ! BRENT! YOU MADE YOUR FIRST POST! even if it is just a character Bio, i am so proud of you. *sniff* sorry, i'm all choked up..

damn ezboard ate my post >_<
DANG I hate it when that happens lol!
NP Seleth, welcome to the MoFo man, and glad I could be of some assistance^^
I know you particularly wanted to join at this point in the story, so I'll wait for your post before carrying on with Wraith.
We can continue the others though^^)
IC:
"Okay, while he's gone, let's get some tactics figured out." said Max while they waited for David to return. "Trey, I'm still not keen on the idea of going solo to search. I'd prefare pairs, to be on the safe side. If we met up with anyone like Sacchio or Morgaine we'd be in hot water," He lowered his voice so DeLougre wouldn't hear. "and I'm not leaving him alone."
OOC: Welcome to the MoFo and the RP Guild, Seleth. Your character looks really interesting. He has good strengths and thankfully he isn't overly powerful. Nice.
"Pairs is definitely better, but if we do that it means we cover less ground and thus end up having bigger difficulty finding Arista." Trey replied. He had of course already thought of that point.
"Two's safer and I would recommend it as well, but only for those who feel they'd need to. The mission's a stealth as much as possible. Keep out of contact from anyone. If anyone did run into any of the major baddies like Sachio or Morgraine... or anyone for that matter, they run. We don't engage no matter what. Even with all of us I'd doubt we'd win. So, stay away from anyone as much as possible, but just get into positions where you can check the area. If you think you're fine to handle it by yourself, then do so. As for Delougre, well...
"I agree. He's too wild by himself or too go with a searching partner either way. I recommend he stays with David. David did say he'll keep an eye over him and it's probably best they stay together."
At this point David reappeared at the end of the street, and in a few seconds he was once again stood next to them. In his hand he carried a small bag, which he held out to Max, a smile on his plastic face.
"The transmitters sir."
"Finally we can get something done." muttered Max, taking the bag from the Robot. "Good work Dave. Now let's get this show on the road." He picked out a radio for himself, then tossed the bag to Trey so he could get one...
"Thanks. Nice work." Trey said, catching the bag and then dumping it to the floor. He only had one arm so he had to do it in this manner, as he used the arm again to reach in and pick one up, pocketing it, before again picking the bag up and throwing it towards Asher. "Teams then, or at least how we're going to do this."
The others nodded as they began distributing the communicators.
"David and Delougre can stay together, in the centre of the whole circle thing we'll have going. I don't mind being by myself. What about the rest of you?"
OOC: alright my first post. there is some more i wanted to add but i figured id let other people continue before i go on. plus its slready longer than i expected.
IC:
The sun rose quickly over the city, the sky fading from a deep orange to a pale blue, buildings casting long soft shadows over the remains of their fallen brothers. The dull roar of car engines gradually filled the air, taking place of the heavy silence that often hung over the city in the mornings. A figure, standing atop one of the many road signs that spanned the highways width, lifted his head staring down the road toward the source of the noise. It was impossible to discern any of his features other than the sharp, piecing eyes of an eagle against his backlit shape. He glanced at his watch.
Hmm... Their late.
The sounds grew gradually louder as the truck approached. Too loud. A single truck could not make this much noise at such a distance. The figure examined the shape in the distance. Definitely the truck. After a second two other shapes emerged from behind it, gaining on it quickly. Two cars. Not normal cars either. They were much too fast and appeared to be well armoured.
Idiots. Theyve been followed.
A gunshot rang out, followed by a volley of fire. The truck swerved hard right, slamming bodily into one of it pursuers. A final shot sounded and the truck swerved uncontrollably, jerking to one side, then the other. It rolled, sliding on its side before losing momentum and coming to a stop.
The figure snorted in disgust and leapt casually off the road sign, his long red scarf trailing behind him as he fell. Landing easily in a crouched position he hurdled the highways concrete barrier and sprinted along the grass toward the crash. A pair of helicopters rose up from behind a terrace building and passed overhead. Sword ducked out of sight, examining them as they flew over. The co-pilot in the closest helicopter had picked up a CB radio. Swords eyes focused in on him, reading his lip movements.
. . . raid group directly ahead. Proceed on present route. Repeat. Helicopters 2 and 5 to patrol squad. Raid group directly ahead. Proceed on present route. Over.
G.U.N. personnel. As expected. Their response time was a little faster than I anticipated however. This may complicate matters further, he thought, a frown crossing his brow.
He approached the crash site. The raid party and, presumably their perusers were already surrounded by a squadron of G.U.N. members while the two helicopters circled like birds eying their prey. Two men stood guard at the cars as the others continued their work. The larger of the raid group members struggled futility against the vice like grips of two squad personnel. Keeping low Sword slowed his movement, keeping careful watch over the two helicopters. Those on the ground wouldnt be a problem, most of them being focussed on the individuals in front of them, plus the chopping of the helicopters blades provided excellent sound cover.
Sword leapt quickly over the highway barrier as he drew level with the squad cars, tugging his scarf out of sight. Rolling as he landed he drew out his blades, slicing both rear wheels of the nearest vehicle as he passed before backing up against a car door and peered over the boot, examining the scene before him. The two standing guard were close, only a car away. Both had their guns drawn, both sending fleeting glances to either side before focussing once more upon the scene in front of them. The helicopters continued circling like vultures.
Out of the corner of his eye Sword noticed another movement. A figure jumped off some nearby scaffolding, landing neatly next to an echidna. He began to speak, the words being carried off by the downdraft of the helicopters, but Sword wasnt interested, an opportunity had presented itself. He glanced yet again at the helicopters, both of whom had rounded on the new arrival.
Perfect, thought Sword, grinning slightly.
He dashed out, keeping low. A guard noticed the movement and turned, aiming his gun toward him. Sword swung an arm, the blade slicing into the gun and cutting open the hand holding it. He bent low tripping him up with a spinning kick to the shin, then landing a sharp blow to his back, slamming him into the ground, knocking him out. The second guard turned, his head immediately connecting with a curved talon and Sword back flipped, knocking him to the ground also. Sword landed, slashing the rear tires on two more cars before rolling behind the fourth and looking back at the scene. Luckily the new arrival still had the others attentions and those few seconds had passed unnoticed. He quickly examined the bodies of the two unconscious men. No lasting damage, but they would be out for a while.
Sorry, Sword whispered, more to himself than to them, but it is necessary at this time. He exhaled deeply, withdrew his blades and looked into the open door of the adjacent car, spotting the CB on the control panel.
Now for those helicopters.
"Darn!" Wraith spat as he looked across at all the GUN weapons trained at him and Lexx. Suddenly a figure landed next to them, making them both spin round in suprise.
"Need some assistance?"
For a moment Wraith was speechless, unsure of how to proceed! Lexx narrowed his eyes at the newcomer. "Just who are you?"
"I REPEAT, DROP YOUR WEAPONS! THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING!"
The shout was answered by a hail of gunfire from the wrecked gang truck, aimed this time at the GUN veichles. The soldiers ducked as bullets scattered around them, pinging off the metal armour on the Humvees like raindrops.
BANG
Two gunshots fired in unison and the figures behind the truck dropped like stones. The GUN snipers had found their marks.
Wraith narrowed his eyes as the gun barrels immeadeately swung to face him, Lexx, and the figure who had just joined them. Lexx's hand was hovering near his belt, close to the holster of his pistol, but Wraith shook his head slowly.
"They're working for the same aims as us Lexx. That makes us allies. Besides, you'd be dead before you could get off a shot."
Reluctantly the gorilla slowly pulled out his gun and tossed it on the floor in front of them. The soldiers began to edge forward, guns still trained on them, ready to arest them, but Wraith took a step forward, placing himself between the other two and the GUN officers.
"Listen carefully!" he called. "We are not dangerous, and we will co-operate, but I have to speak to whoever's in charge here!"
"YOU ARE UNDER ARREST." came back the amplified voice. "LIE DOWN ON THE FLOOR WITH YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM."
"I said I want to talk!" retorted Wraith angrily. He opened out his long leather coat, showing he had no conceled weapons. "I'm unarmed! Give us a chance to talk, then we'll do whatever you say!"
There was a pause, as some of the soldiers seemed to be descussing this. Wraith stood observing them, his face set. He had heard of GUN, but this was his first encounter with them. They held the same ideals as the Neo-Freedom Fighters, but no doubt didn't like the way the gang functioned. They would prefare to have them as a subsiduary of GUN, so they could call the shots.
He glanced over his shoulder at the newcomer while the GUN team debated. "Looks like you would have been best staying hidden. I'm sorry you got involved in this man."
OOC: sorry im a little lost here, were the gang members being taken into custody or were they just surrounded?? also does anyone no how mant there are?? sorry for the annoyance ^^;
(OOC: Np man^^ There are 5 gang members, 3 in that back of the truck, 2 in the front. The ones in the back were thrown out when the truck crashed, and two of them are dead, the other criticaly injured. The two in the front survived the crash thanks to the truck's armour, but have just been hit by the snipers. They don't have to be dead though if anyone wants, just injured )
OOC:
ive just been going back through some of the previous posts in this RP and noticed that a lot of people seemed to have stopped posting. anyone know whats happened to them all?? ill IC later. and thanks for the info Wraith ^^
OOC: Busy. People have been busy with exams, school, admidst other things, Seleth.
OOC: Speaking of disappearing, I'm still watching this, BTW. I've had various ideas of how to transplant myself back into the action, but I always hesitate and lose the opportunity. I think I will try and get back into it, though.
OOC: It'd be great to have you back in, Nuch. But I'd say wait until we see whether everyone's still interested or when this picks up. If you want to discuss any ideas of bringing your char in if you really want to rejoin feel free to message me and we can try and work something out.
(OOC: What Pach said! It'd be fantastic to have you back Nutch man^^ Hope you can )
Angel grabbed two communicators from the bag, handing one to her brother before passing the rest back to David. The tabby vixen examined the small piece of machinery in her gloved hand, before replying to Trey's earlier question.
"Ash and I are goin' to scout around as a pair." Asher nodded, determination etched into his features.
The black tabby added, "We'll find Ari."
Max sighed, running a hand down his face. "Let's hope so....otherwise we'll have Wraith to answer to."
Sword leaned into the car making sure the door provided adequate cover and lifted the radio off its mount on the dash board.
"I REPEAT, DROP YOUR WEAPONS! THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING!"
He glanced up in time to see two gang members emerge from behind the truck sporting pistols and reacted immediately, launching himself into the car and ducking low. The patrol vehicles were not armoured like the hum vees but the engine, with the direction of fire, should capture any stray bullets. Gunshots rang out, the sound barely audible as the downdraft from the helicopters swept it away.
BANG!
Two more shots, much louder. Sword paled for a second.
Impossible.
He looked over the steering wheel. The two figures behind the truck dropped like stones.
Could one of them fired? he asked himself, scanning the scene. Most of the G.U.N. personnel had scattered once the gunfire broke out, trying to take cover as quickly as possible. Those who had already recovered had their weapons trained on the others. He studied the ground near each of them. No cartridges. Non of them had revolvers. That meant only one thing. There were more at the people than Sword had originally observed nearby.
A worried look flashed across his face. Normally his trained senses could accurately pick up and place the presence of those nearby. This was the second time he had failed to, and last time it had cost him.
He exited the car. The distraction could wait. Also he still needed the cover. Those shots had been close.
Most likely snipers, he reasoned, two at least judging by the interval between shots, possibly more.
He took a second to reanalyse the situation. He had been following the helicopters as they approached the crash site; they had been guiding the patrol squad into position. Right, that meant there wasnt much of a gap between the squads arrival on the scene and his own, any snipers would have to be in the vicinity. He dropped low, pressing his face against the asphalt and looked beneath the cars. Two bodies lay on it but 4 metres from his position. Well that accounted for the two shots but it was hardly feasible for two snipers to be in the same spot. It would greatly reduce the availability of a shot. There had to be another. He scanned around himself. No more on the ground.
Snipers would prefer high ground, Sword thought to himself, but theres nothing high within range. That could only leave one thing.
He glanced up at the helicopters again. Both were still facing the opposite direction. He climbed up onto the boot of a car and scanned the roofs on each. One pair of feet hung over the rear of the nearest Hum Vee. Theres the third.
Sword slipped lithely off the rear of the car, hoping nobody had noticed his brief appearance and made his way around the back of the cars to the sniper on the hum vee. He crouched low next to the door of the hummer studying the mans position. Picking a small rock from the road he flicked it up onto the roof. Some shuffling followed, but no response. He flicked a slightly larger rock up.
What the?
Some more shuffling followed the voice. A head appeared over the side; and was quickly met by a blow to the temple by a fist before being slammed onto the edge of the car roof. Sword hefted the unconscious body from the top of the vehicle and retrieved the sniper rifle. He had some basic knowledge of how to wield a firearm however was not very proficient in there use. In order to get a precise a shot as possible a rifle was relatively well balance and had a barrel as long a persons chest. This could be useful.
He removed the scope, stand, and clip from the rifle and cocked it again to release the bullet from the barrel. He drew out the blades on one arm and stuck the primary blade into the handle, slicing it, and the trigger clean off leaving just the barrel and the body of the weapon. He twirled it experimentally. Slightly off balance but still useable. A staff weapon is always handy in these situations. He flicked his scarf over his shoulder and emerged from behind the Hum Vee, ducking low and sprinting off toward the other two, slicing open more of the cars tires along the way. He stepped in between them causing both to look up as the rifle came down onto both, knocking each out.
Sword stepped over them and stuck his blades through each of their weapons, rendering each useless. Doubling back he slashed the two rear tires on each of the surrounding vehicles, save one Hummer preferring to pierce the fuel tank on its undercarriage. He crept around to the drivers seat, and lifting the CB from the dash board.
HQ to choppers 2 and 5, Sword barked into the handset, imitating an urgent, yet commanding voice, there has been a second attack. Repeat the first raid was a decoy. A second raid group has attacked. They are proceeding on a south, south west heading. Current position is the downtown area. Pursue immediately.
There was a pause before a response crackled through the mike.
Copy that.
OOC: Been meaning to progress the storyline seeingas Bentleee told me i can in a previous note, but never had time. Here we go!
----
IC:
Downtown area, outside old diner.
"Here's a question of mine" said Lucent to the two Dobermans, "where does a vengeful bat go to find Sachio's hideout, so that they may bring hell down on the place? i'll let whichever one of you tells me first live."
The two Dobermans glanced at eachover before desperately shouting out in a panic to save their own hides.
Lucent held up a hand and the two dogs stopped with their jaws still open.
Lucent scratched his chin and smiled maliciously, "hmm... close call... but i wonder, who spoke fir-"
"m-me! i did!" blurted out one of the Dobermans, still trying to be ahead of his 'comrade'.
"I hate it when people talk while i am!" growled Lucent. The Doberman who blurted out quickly came to regret it as he saw one of Lucent's gang members, Tabby, draw out his pistol.
"kill him". said Lucent.
2 rounds were fired right at the Doberman's head, killing him instantly.
Lucent laughed a bit and looked down at the remaining doberman. "Looks like you're mister lucky today." he mused, while shooting an evil smile. "Well, so let's hear it! Where is Sachio's hideout located?"
"c-casino!" stuttered the rough-looking doberman while trying to keep from looking at his dead comrade, "A c-casino about f-five blocks away... along the eastern road"
Lucent narrowed his eyes, "very precise for someone in your situation. If you are lying to me i swear i will surgically widen your throat and bring your intestines up to your jaws!"
The Doberman shook his head, "n-no lies man! j-just leave me alo-"
His speech was interrupted as he noticed that Lucent wasn't paying attention. Lucent had his eyes fixed on an arrangement of garbage cans nearby, and he didn't look pleased in the slightest.
"damn" thought Arista as she withdrew from poking her eye between two garbage cans to see what the gangs were up to. She had become so involved in hearing about Sachio's base that her gaze had been fixed on the Doberman, and not the menacing bat.
Lucent slowly turned back to the Doberman but shifted his eyes after his head was focused in the dog's general direction. "What about secuirity measures?" he asked.
"uhhh.. i dunno if i can tell yo-" the dog was once again interrupted, this time by Lucent's hand around his collar.
"Allow me to make your decisions concerning loyalty to your leader versus informing me a lot simpler... if you do not share information with me, your death is certain right here and now. If you do tell me what i want to know, you can walk back to that casino and pretend nothing ever happened. understood?"
Lucent purposely left out the option of, 'go back to the casino and warn the gang that Lucent is alive and plans to attack' part, he wanted the doberman to believe that he hadn't thought of that. Of course, Lucent planned to kill him anyway.
"Okay.. uhh... security.." started the doberman, trying to remember all the security measures taken over at the casino, "i-it's a casino man! cameras, gangstas out front, all the top shi-"
"Pah!" Lucent scoffed as he threw the doberman against the dumpster. "You commoners disgust me with your clinging to material wealth. There is no amount of money that can buy safety from my hand, that is certain."
"s-sure.." stuttered the dog.
"Now, the best part" mused Lucent, "where are there... 'blanks' in the security?"
The dog opened his mouth to speak but didn't get a word out over the sound of a gunshot.
Lucent and company turned to Tabby as he had his gun pointed at the trashcans, smoke wisping out of the barrel.
"I kept watchin', there's someone there boss!" said Tabby as he kept his eyes focused on his target. One of the Trashcans had a distinct bullet hole through it.
Arista cursed under her breath as she realised how close she was to being shot. luckily she had noticed the tabby-cat this time and hadn't been focused purely on the doberman, so she was able to recoil in time to avoid injury. but right now that seemed only like prolonging the inevitable, if she were to get up and move, she'd instantly be shot. At first she thought she'd be able to simply outrun the gang if she was noticed, but she hadn't anticipated so rugged-looking a street gang to be wielding any compact firearms.
The Doberman took advantage of Lucent and his gang looking over at the trashcans and got up and made a break for it down a nearby alley.
Lucent noticed this too late, and cursed under his breath to see the doberman escape. In a swift movement, Lucent turned and ran after the doberman, swerving round the alleyway that he saw him run down.
Sure enough, right up ahead was the doberman, running at full pace. Lucent smiled viciously and stood at the entry to the alleyway, simply watching the dog run as he reaised his palm, "Svarminus Paralia!" the energy-comet stremed forth into the air, after the escapee. The blast hit the Doberman square in the back and sent him flying into a wall which formed a sharp turn up ahead. Lucent was about to go and inspect the doberman's corpse when he was called over by Dirge.
"Lucent, get over here quick!"
Lucent growled, he was most displeased to find out about an eavesdropper.
Tabby kept his gun fixed on the trashcans as Lucent walked halfway between his gang and the garbage. "Get up!" shouted Lucent toward the trashcans.
Reluctantly, Arista got up with her hands in the air.
Lucent breathed out some smoke through his nostrils as he fidgeted with his cigarette, still poking out of his mouth. it was a wonder that he spoke so coherently with a cigarette between his lips.
"Do you have even the slightest idea who i am?" he inquired to Arista.
Arista inspected Lucent to see if it rang any bells. As far as she could tell he was a blue bat who... a blue bat.
Arista's eyes widened as she recalled an article involving a brutal gang violence crime scene investigation on the radio.
"...You're... Lucent?" she asked, now even more cautious of him.
"Glad to see my legacy lives on. even past my death" Lucent chuckled at this, but it only confused Arista who had heard nothing of Lucent's 'demise'.
Lucent went back to looking serious, "You interrupted a very important discussion of mine. you wretched spy!"
Lucent approached her angrily and stood about a metre away from her, the only real divider being the trash cans.
"I don't know what you've heard about me on those blasted radio stations, but i can promise you that i have no special treatment for female adversaries, afterall, we all bleed the same. Who the hell are you working for, and just what is it you are doing around here?"
Lucent clenched a fist as he awaited an answer.
--
red blurred the vision of the doberman as he stumbled in his walking pace. He had actually survived that blast from Lucent, and was now trying to make his escape complete. He had already walked about a block from his old position, so he had some good distance from Lucent.
"God-damn bat... freakin' bastard..." he muttered as he dragged his leg.
a bloody smile came to his face as he chuckled, "Mister Lucky eh? heh, yeah, maybe i am.. He's gonna be freakin' sorry..."
he turned a corner into the next block and began walking along the pavement back to the casino. "heh, Sachio... Sachio'll whoop his sorry butt... the boss'll still be pissed that he's alive, but he'll get 'im... yeah, he's a goner."
The doberman looked around as he heard a strange noise become louder and louder. He looked up in the sky as the noise grew close and saw the cause of it.
A helicopter was flying overhead, with a large G.U.N insignia on it.
The pilot spoke to the sniper inside the copter, "There's one down there! He's got blood on 'im, he's beein fightin', take him down!"
The sniper complied and took aim at the doberman.
"yeah..." muttered the Doberman, "mister lucky..." those were his last words before a bullet landed between his eyes. The sniper was very precise.

OOC: Sorry that wasn't one of my greatest posts, quite lacking in my opinion. I basically really wanted to progress the storyline, but i kinda kept running out of ideas halfway. ah well, i hope this works for everyone.
Pachamac, i haven't forgotten about Plugg and Azieral's little side-quest, i will be continuing that in my next post.
And now comes sleep.
g'night people.
The great Lucent...the one and only Lucent...the Lucent that was so infamous throughout the street gang underworld...
He was shorted than she expected.
Arista had gotten over her initial shock at the realisation of who it was that she was facing, and was now matching the bat's glare with one of her own. Boy, Wraith would love to get his hands on this guy!
"I don't know what you've heard about me on those blasted radio stations, but i can promise you that i have no special treatment for female adversaries, afterall, we all bleed the same. Who the hell are you working for, and just what is it you are doing around here?" he spat, clenching his fist. He was livid! She knew she'd have to choose her words carefully or she'd be in trouble.
Her mind was racing. Escape would be difficult...her stealth abillities would make it easier, but it was unlikely she'd get out without injury. Fighting of course wasn't an option, not alone. She wouldn't stand a chance.
But even as she considered all these options her mind was also working on something else...something more sinister. As a member of the Neo-Freedom Fighters it was her obligation to bring Lucient to justice in any way she could. But he was as mad at Sacchio and Morgaine as she was! She cursed herself for even having the thought...it would go against everything Wraith and the others...and herself...were fighting for...she would never be able to look him in the eye again, never be able to forgive herself...
Wraith...I'm sorry.
"No one." she replied evenly. "I'm working for no one, and I'm here for much the same reason you are."
Lucent's eyes narrowed. "Sure you are." he growled, then turning on his heel, he jerked a thumb at her over his shoulder. "Kill her."
"Yeah, you are a jerk." muttered Arista as Dirge raised the gun. Lucent stopped dead, his back still turned to Ari, his shoulders stiffening.
"What...did you say?"
"What I'd heard was true...you are a jerk, and brain-dead." retorted Arista angrily. "So wrapped up in your own little world of bloated self-importance and machohood. All men are the same, but you have to be the worst!"
Lucent slowly turned to face the vixen, his face black as thunder. Dirge, gun still leveled at Ari, was grinning incredulously. No one had talked to Lucent like that in a long time...there was gonna be fireworks now!
"Trying to compensate for something maybe?" Arista continued. "You pretend to be all high and mighty but you don't even think. I heard your conversation, you didn't get the info you needed about the blanks in security, so what are you going to do, wade in there guns blazing?"
Lucent raised his palm at Arista, snarling through gritted teeth: "You've done it now!"
"What you fail to realise is that I can help you!" shouted Ari, her eyes still fixed firmly on Lucent's. "I want to take Saiccho and Morgaine down just as much as you, and I'm trained in stealth tactics! I could get in there without detection and help you to t6ake them down permanently! If you used your two brain cells and actually thought for the smallest second you might realise that I'm actually useful to you!"
Arista finished, glaring venomously at the bat. Lucent still had his palm outstreached, but he wasn't speaking. There was silence for a full minute while they stared each other out, then Lucent spoke. "You've got guts." he growled through gritted teeth.
Arista said nothing, simply continued to match Lucent's glare with one of her own. She had scared herself to some degree with her outburst...her mild-mannered, shy self before the ARK fell, even the hardened, brave, hot-headed Arista that she had become would not be capable of that! Now she was something else, something more...and it scared her...
But she had no choice. She had let her anger take control, her rage against the ones who murdered her parents take over. It was the way it had to be. Sacchio and Morgaine must die, and nothing and no one would get in her way, not even the fabled Lucent!
It somehow felt like a passing, like something had changed irreversably inside her. And scariest of all, in some strainge, deep, dark way deep inside her...she liked it.
Lucent was absolutley steaming. He wanted to kill her ten times over...to decimate her into millions of pieces and fire them off into the sun...
But she did have spirit...he couldn't lie to himself, he was impressed by her stance...
============================================================
Wraith blinked as something caught his eye behind the line of GUN units. He could have been mistaken, but he thought he saw a figure stealthily sneaking behind one of the veichles, ducking down to stay out of sight. What was that...?
His attention was drawn back to the soldiers as a large, burly figure stepped forward, holding a pistol loosley in his hand, and a cigar in his mouth. "I'm Captain Warrick." he growled.
(OOC: I'm not really well up on Warrick, since my only contact with him so far has been earlier in this RP, so I'll let someone else play him as he is ment to act. I'll still play Wraith though, if that's ok.
I also had a bit in for Max, David, Trey and the others, but I've edited that out when I saw Pach had posted. I think we posted at the same time lol.)
OOC: Heh, no problem James. Pleasant dreams.
IC: Trey had wasted no time in standing around. They had all been given communicators, tuned to the same frequency, and had now split up to search for Arista, praying it wouldnt be too late.
Trey had embarked on his own, in a northern direction from David and DeLougre, who would stay in the middle of the circle radius area in which David could search and scan for any life forms within. Asher and Angel had partnered together and gone in a western direction, whilst Max took off in an eastern direction. The sage Trey wasnt sure of him. He had left before he had taken his own course of action, so whether this sage had gone with Max, gone in another direction entirely or stayed with David and DeLougre he didnt know, but then, he was concerned with something bigger at the moment. Finding Arista.
Be careful everyone, Trey said, speaking into the communicator. Remember, this is one hell of a dangerous world we live in. Anybody you encounter, presume to be dangerous and a threat. Through that way you live. Stay in the shadows.
Trey got in return a set of Rogers from the rest of the team.
David, your job is one of the most important. Youre our shield for sensing and detecting anybody near us. Please make sure that you send us in the right direction and can make out if ANYONE is coming towards us. We WILL need the warning. Trey said.
Yes, sir. David responded.
Right, good. Be careful, everyone. Keep out of the way, dont get into any combat if at all possible, and if you did get into serious danger, radio for help. We need to keep communications a top priority, here. Trey concluded.
Again, he was returned by a series of Rogers, and was pleased that the group was understanding his plan and could only hope they would do as good a job as he. Teamwork was an important part of survival, but trust was greater still. He didnt have a problem with trusting them TOO much it was simply their capabilities, which he didnt know of. What were their speed, stealth, agility, strength limits? It was these unknowns which made him worry and unsure. But this moment of thinking was broken, as a voice spoke out to him.
Master Trey, there is a signal of three people to your immediate left, within that building. The communicator buzzed of Davids voice.
Trey froze and crouched. He was within the alleyway that two buildings formed, and the one of his left had three people within them. Of course, three were more then just one, just Ari, but it wouldnt be difficult to assume she could have been captured.
David, can you get a vertical position of them? Like what floor theyre on? Trey asked, whispering into his communicator.
Yes sir, the 7th floor.
7th?! He had to check it out anyway, no matter how unlikely it was. But it would be better to do it from the other building next to it which bridged the alleyway.
And what side are they on towards me? They on my side or the other side of the building? Trey asked.
Your side. You should be able to get a good viewing point from the 7th floor of the building on your right. David replied. Heh, good. He had the exact same idea as Trey himself. That was very good.
Okay, right. Im on it. Are there anybody else around here, someone who could see me enter the building?
Negative, sir. The rest of the street and buildings seem to be abandoned. The buildings dont appear very structurally sound, it seems, which would lead to a logical calculation why. Said David. That doesnt make sense then. Why would these three people be here, then? Just because its safe, a hideout where no one else would go? Or an easy place to kill someone without anyone nearby being aware of it?
Im on it. Thanks for the info, David. This plan seems to be working. Trey said, coming out of the alleyway and quickly turning in a U shape into the entrance of the building on his right, heading towards the stairs of the weary and shaken building.
I am concerned though. This plan, although it does seem to yield the best results, may take a sufficiently long time to complete. David added.
True, Trey thought. But what else could we do?
OC: i am well aware of how stupid my title for this post is, but meh, i thought it was funny at the time ;P
Wraith, that was an excellent post, it's great to see more of Arista back in the RP! sorry to make you wait so long to post with her. I just love how she's reacted toward Lucent, i actually laughed to myself a bit when i imagined how utterly full of rage Lucent would be upon hearing such words, i think when you said:
"Lucent was absolutley steaming. He wanted to kill her ten times over...to decimate her into millions of pieces and fire them off into the sun..."
you summed it up the best. ^_^
Keepy uppy the posting people, i'm really seeing some cool stuff! oh, and i forgot to mention Nuchtos in my last post, it'd be great to have you back in buddy! but i agree with Wraith, might want to wait until a little more is happening to bring your character back into it, but i am looking forward to your return!
oh, one more thing for Wraith, WHO YOU CALLIN' SHORT? I'm not sure Lucent would appreciate that, he is afterall the same height as your average Mobian of his age, but meh, there's a lot of things that piss him off. he's an angry little guy... oops! there i go saying 'little' about him! Poor Lucent ;_;
------
IC:
Lucent blinked a few times before lowering his palm and breaking out into a small fit of almost maniacal laughter as he crossed his arms.
He stopped laughing and looked at her with a wicked glare that almost made Arista's fur stand on end... almost, afterall she had confronted him thus far.
Lucent's mind was filled with a few thoughts, he hated this individual that he saw before him, but he couldn't help but be amused by her naiveness. Still, everything aside, she was very spirited indeed, and Lucent was quite taken by the fact that someone was standing up to him when the odds seemed so utterly hopeless against them, he was so used to seeing people either stupidly quiver in their speech or just cowardly turn tail and run... but this girl, as bleak a situation she was in... remained strong...
"Hmmm... two braincells eh? i must say i am quite taken back... by your un-observance!" He purposely made a pyre of pale glowing energy dance in his palm as he held it up during his speech, "This... is Lunar Arcanum! a highly refined form of harmonic manipulation, much more complex and sophisticated than your simple fire-ball or what have you. To master such a power to my degree of expertise requires much more than two brain cells worth of intelligence. To be blunt, a mind as feeble as yours would have no hope of even learning how to make a few dancing lights like these..." Lucent clicked his fingers and the energy in his hand split off into a few dancing lights that flickered in the air before disappearing in a wispy fizzle.
"So next time you intend to insult my intelligence like that, i suggest you use whatever miniscule number of brain cells that you possess, to properly consider such a remark!"
Arista was unsure whether to feel downright insulted, or whether to feel amazed by Lucent's display of intelligence, afterall she wasn't expected someone who was known to be a brutal murderer to be so... weirdly civilised.
A few chuckles could be heard form Lucent's gang, although Lucent knew perfectly well that they couldn't possible have processed anything that he had just said. He rolled his eyes as he heard them and shook his head slightly. Needless to say, the gang didn't even need to see his facial expression to feel the aura of discontent that hung around their leader.
"Now then..." began Lucent, adjusting his cigarette calmly before breathing out some smoke, "Under normal circumstances i'd kill you right here and now for showing such carelessness in your actions, spying on me, and being so rude... but, despite being one who has no tolerance for stupidity, i instead find myself... intrigued... by your own interest in a certain adversary of mine..."
Arista shuffled a bit as Lucent gave her a sinister glare, "I think it fair that after costing me some information, that you supply me with some about yourself... Why are you so interested in Sachio and Morgaine? I assure you that having to murder yet another individual in one morning isn't what i would call much of a chore, so i will not hesitate to kill you right here and now if you do not answer me truthfully, i've heard enough desperate cries for mercy to know when someone is lying to me, so don't even try it! Secondly, even if your information is convincing, how do i know for certain that i can trust you? I've been betrayed many times in the past as well, so once again, i won't take kindly to betrayal... for traitors, i give a slower death."
The gang behind Lucent kept silent, they all didn't want to say or do anything that might bring their leader's gaze to them when he was in such a bloodthirsty mood. They all knew too well what happened to traitors in their gang, thus why they were all so loyal. Tabby had holstered his gun and stood behind the massive figure of Dirge the Grizzly bear.
Lucent flicked his cigarette onto the ground at his feet and grinded it into the asphalt with his boot. "I suggest you start using those braincells of yours to the best of their ability for your words, they may very well be your last." he said this in a sinister, almost mocking tone, adding to the effect by delivering a brief sharp-toothed grin.

Do that again and I shall gouge out both of your eyes, understand? Azieral hissed, before dropping Plugg to the ground.
Plugg held in a painful scream as he fell over as he went down... onto his injured arm.
Azieral focused on the corridor ahead from which the two gang members that she had just incapacitated came from. It looked clear enough, but as she had just learned the hard way, one couldn't be too cautious within a confined area of an adversary's base.
Plugg got up and coughed a bit to clear his throat then he tapped Azieral on the shoulder. Azieral turned to face him and saw the disgruntled expression on his face.
"What you seem to be forgetting here..." started Plugg, trying to sound in authority, "... is that i am in charge here! you can't treat me like that! it'd be just like going up to Lucent and just socking him in the face! he'd do a lot more than jus' sock ya back!"
Azieral was growing very agitated at Plugg's personality, she was convinced that he was complete annoyance incarnate, there was no more fitting definition! Not only did he ALWAYS seem to believe that he could just walk all over her, even after being threatened, but he also kept on blabbing about Lucent this, Lucent that, his loyalty was literally mindless in nature, how he has survived so long in this new world without being killed by someone who could not tolerate him, even Lucent himself, was a mystery that had embedded itself into Azieral's mind so deep that it distracted her from her disciplinary abilities... like observance.
She hadn't noticed that there was a knife protruding out from one of the cocoons which sealed the gang members she had disposed of, a knife which was slowly cutting a gap into it.
Plugg strolled past Azieral in a commanding manner, which only succeeded in making himself look stupid, "well, no use standin' 'round 'ere! There's a room up ahead just here that has rolls and rolls of bandages!"
"you're going to be needed some in a minute..." mumbled Azieral to herself as she reluctantly followed after him, to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.
A hand came out from the newly formed gap in the web-cocoon that contained one of the gang members, it was the ferret. He gasped for air as he poked his head out and proceeded to release himself.
As soon as he was free, he used his knife to open the cocoon which held his comrade.
"that's one crazy chick..." said the squirrel as soon as he was free.
"knock it off!" growled the ferret, "Whatever she is she ain't pullin' that one on us a second time! c'mon!"
The two took out their weapons and stomped down toward the door of the room Plugg had recently occupied.
"empty.." said the squirrel. The Ferret was wielding his crowbar in one arm and his pocket knife in the other so he left door opening to his friend, "She musta gone the other way!"
The two turned tail and ran down the corridor that now contained Plugg and Azieral.
As they ran down, they saw nothing up ahead. They reached the T-intersection before they were each delivered a punch to the face, from Azieral and Plugg who were waiting for them at the end of the corridor. Azieral had heard the two clumsy guards stomping about and actually got Plugg to co-operate.
The squirrel and the ferret backed a few steps as they recoiled from the punches.
"oh that does it!" shouted the ferret as he lunged forward with both weapons at Azieral. The squirrel took a second to acknowledge the situation, but then he too charged with his wrench, straight at Plugg, who drew out his own weapon, the stolen police baton.
Needless to say, Azieral had her Sai at the ready.

Okay, now that post i feel was much better than my last one. This one had more feeling and such in it, i fele better about this one.
there, now we can continue two aspects of the RP! ^_^ i quite enjoyed writing that, it was loads of fun!
OOC: Ooh, I didn't notice Wraith's post before. o.o Oh well.
And just to let people know, Warrick is my character, and while I do allow some minor controlling, he isn't an NPC. And considering the wide range of injuries he got from Frost I wouldn't have expected him to be back this soon... but meh, I'll go with it.
IC:
And you vigilantes are under arrest. Warrick muttered aloud, taking a drag from his cigar. We dont appreciate you fools tearing up the street and taking the law into your own hands. I dont care what your thoughts or motives are behind this, were taking you down.
Warrick frowned slightly, as he saw the two helicopters that were once circling in the air around at the area beginning to turn and depart. What the hell?! He shouted, his cigar falling from his mouth as he turned back to the GUN guards that still held their weapons aimed at Wraith and the two others, as ordered by Warrick. The GUN guards looked around between each other before shrugging. They werent sure.
One finally spoke up.
Weve been told by them that someone alerted them that a second raid group is occurring in the downtown area in a south, south west heading, sir. They say that they were told this raid was a decoy. A dog guard spoke up.
Tell them to stay here right now, and they are to not act on any orders other then my own! I want to know who exactly gave them the authority! Warrick ordered back. The dog guard nodded hesitantly, and then looked around to the other guards. None of them knew who had done it.
the hell. Warrick said, before shifting suddenly towards Wraith, Lexx and the other, new strange arrival, his pistol pointed towards Wraiths chest. Well? Got any ideas on whats going on there, exactly?
Sir! Sir! shouted one guard, a rookie, as he raced forwards towards Warrick. Warrick frowned at the improperness of what the rookie was doing, but decided to let it slide. Parts of the group that had started the raid were already captured by the other GUN personal, as were Wraiths other crew who were chasing the raid group. All that were left were these three people, and the two remaining members of the raid group that had been injured via sniping.
What is it, rookie? It better be important. You find out who sent that order? Warrick asked.
N-no sir The rookie responded, panting heavily. But a lot of the tyres on our vehicles have been punctured!
What?! Warrick bellowed.
And several of our GUN personal have been knocked unconscious and viciously wounded! The rookie followed up. N-none of the raid group, or this Echidnas group that were in the truck or those cars could have done it, since weve got them in chains already, and some of the cars that belonged to the Echidnas groups had tyres slashed as well! We believe it to be the work of someone else still around here!
The GUN personal that had heard automatically reacted to the situation. Not only did they still aim their weapons at Wraiths company, but also began to wearily look around the assortment of vehicles for this strange attacker.
Warrick turned and glared at Wraith.
Thats it, I dont care what you might care to say. We dont talk to criminals such as yourselves. Get down on the ground now, before we have to take you out just like those two other there! Warrick shouted, pointing towards the two injured raid members who had been sniped. The helicopters that were once about to leave were now coming back, circling the area once again as per their new orders, and were also looking for this mysterious new attacker. They werent going to accept the orders of anyone bar Captain Warrick, who they could easily see in the clearing between the raid truck and the GUN vehicles and personnel, along with Wraith, Lexx and the new arrival. They were ready to attack whenever necessary.
OOC: I'll edit in an Azieral IC later.
