OOC:
Sorry i've taken so long to reply everyone, i've been recovering from a new years party that i was at, it was at Brent's place in fact. I think i drank too much cola and it kept me awake until 6:30AM before i could sleep. I saw DAYLIGHT before i could SLEEP! ugh... my body's just not used to caffeine i guess, because aside from last night, i barely ever drink any cola. As rarely as i drink cola, the only one i even like is the one that has vanilla in it. and GUESS which one brent HAD to have available at the party? I'll be damned if i ever drink COFFEE!
For someone who was feeling poorly, that post was rather well written Ben, and harsh indeed.
Just need to take this moment to say that everyone here just keeps impressing me with each of their posts, making unpredictable moves and developing their characters constantly. Man, this is the stuff that the heart of role-playing is made of!

"Myst, do you have a mobile phone? I need to know...right now!
Myst replied with haste, considering the incredible pace at which Wraith had just asked his question, Mobile Phone? Afraid not, I lost mine long ago.
Damn! cursed Wraith
easy, easy now said Max as he stood inside the building and observed David climb down through the skylight, trying to do so carefully so that his large metal frame wouldnt make a loud noise upon landing.
See anyone Tails? asked Max, turning his head to the two-tailed fox who was keeping lookout down a corridor. Max immediately turned his head back to Davids direction as the robot landed with a thud.
I toldja to make a SOFT landing! complained Max. my apologies sir, I mis-calculated the remaining distance between myself and the flooring replied David, a hint of a genuine apologetic tone in his voice.
Max was about to say something else when Tails came running up to him at full speed, creating more noise to alert people to their presence. Darnit! Tails dont you sta-
Someones coming this way! interrupted Tails in panic.
Max immediately began frantically looking around for somewhere to run or hide. The corridor they were in happened to finish to a dead end, with the supposed guard approaching from the one and only direction they could run to, they were right on the side of the building. His eyes fixed themselves on a single door behind them, the opposite direction that the guard was approaching from.
The trio all acted in unison and made a break from the door Max had spotted, but upon reaching it, found themselves in only more panic as the door appeared to be locked.
anything else going to go wrong today? grumbled Max.
May I suggest retreating above to the roof, sirs? added David, almost taking no notice of Maxs mumbling.
Tails shook his head No time! That guy I saw is right-
eh? Boss that you? said a voice from behind.
The group of three slowly turned to face a shotgun wielding beetle who appeared to be squinting at them, Tyson.
eh, it is you innit? said Tyson, I thought I saw ya outside there boss! Wasnt expectin ya back so soon though.
Max and David both turned toward their fox companion as they realised that it was indeed Tails that this beetle was addressing.
uhhhhmm said a nervous Tails, yes.
Tell ya wot boss, began the beetle, everyone round ere keeps complainin about me damned eyesight, and I keeps tellin em I aint blind, and whaddya know, whos the first one to spot ya comin back to the base eh? Nurse thought we was bein attacked or somethin, thats not Lucent she goes. Typical!
Lucent? whispered Max
by the way boss, yer feelin right? said Tyson looking at Tails again, Yer voice sounded a bit weird.
uhh.. muttered Tails as he turned to Max, an expression on his face that just spoke out, what do I do?. Max met him with an expression that said just go with it!
Tails cleared his throat before replying to the shotgun wielding beetle, *ahem* uh yes, I think I caught a cold his mind raced for any information he knew about the gang leader Lucent and his manner of speech, he found pretty much nothing, except for what hed learned from speaking to people, mostly rumours.
Heh, so its true den! replied Tyson, EVERYONE catches colds!
Tails remained silent, not knowing how to reply.
well then? said Tyson
well then, what? replied Tails, adding you, in-infernal, uh, nitwit!
well, whats yer orders then? asked Tyson
oh, those. Tails suddenly got a burst of confidence, well, care to explain how I got inside the base without being stopped?
Tyson was taken back by this, eh? Oh, well whaddya mean Lucent?
Ill tell you what I mean! shouted Tails as he took a step toward the beetle before him, who was obviously taller, despite being frightened by Tails and taking a step back. If it was so easy for me to get in here, then how easy is it going to be for intruders hmmm?
Tyson fumbled for answers, well, I dunno boss, didnt lookit it that way
Tails took another step forward and began tapping a finger into his open palm to exaggerate his anger, well, d-do something about it then! Get everyone outside! I want a-a-a big circle around the whole base, no use keeping everyone inside if it doesnt seem to be working!
Tyson scratched his head in a puzzled manner, but, what wassat you were sayin bout keepin a low profile and makin sure no-one sees us guardin th-
Dont question my orders! You, you. you insolent, fool! shouted Tails.
Boss you sure youre right? It might jus be me earin but you sound really dif-
GO! shouted Tails once gain, trying to end the confrontation as quickly as possible.
Tyson immediately saluted and began running downstairs to alert the others to the bosss orders.
As soon as the sound of Tysons footsteps faded, Tails withdrew a large breath and began un-tensing.
Max gave Tails a pat on the back, heh, not bad kid! he said with a smile on his face, slick work with those orders too, should be easier to find Wraith with all those thugs gone.
Pardon me sirs, interrupted David, but according to that encounter, we are in the base of one, Lucent the Bat, a dangerous individual.
Exactly David said Max in return, The Nocturnes street gang, the same ones that Aris with So Wraiths somehow involved as well? Ugh, Im confused, just what the hells going on around here?
Tails caught Maxs attention, We should focus on finding Wraith for now, we can ask for answers after.
Max nodded and signalled for David to follow him as he followed Tails.

Lucent suddenly cried out in absolute dire pain as he found himself caught against the chaos blast- the white and pink energy smacking hard.
Sachio stood there, witnessing it all as it everything seemed slow down as laggard, as the bat appeared to be caught up in the chaos nightmare's wave like motion, before he fell to the ground like lead.
The last thing Lucent saw before completely blacking out, was a swirling mass of purple, pink and white images, all contorted into a strange sickening kaleidoscope. The sickening hallucinogenic effects of the chaos nightmare blast were welcomingly overwhelmed by pure darkness soon enough.
As Lucent descended into a subconscious world of dreams, it soon became apparent that the hallucinogenic symptoms of Sachios magic werent limited to the conscious.
A realms of pure white came into existence, no clear indicators of sky nor ground could be seen in any direction, directions which seemed to extend for an endless stretch of yet more empty white land. This endless void was enough to drive any living being mad.
Only one sound echoed throughout the spacious wonderland, a distorted sound of a beating heart. Lying limp on the ground in a bloody mess, was a figure of pure white, reflective of the land. Lucent couldnt move from his position, he couldnt speak, he felt like he couldnt breathe. He looked in horror at his own arm that lay before him, it was pure white, from fur to cuff to glove, all white. A pool of red blood underneath his pulsing chest was the only colour to be seen.
Lucents eyes were open to their fullest, incapable of shutting them, he watched in idle horror as the pool of blood leaking from him seemed to be stretching outwards towards his open palm. He felt like screaming when from out of the blood there formed a hand reaching out in pain, a bleeding hand, a massacred hand with some fingers cut down to stubs his own hand.
Lucent own screams filled his ears as the world around him shattered and he found himself falling through the sky, past clouds and past various seabirds as he plummeted towards a city below.
He landed in the end of an alleyway and found himself against the wall of a dead end, feeling no pain at all as he landed into a twisted position with his back slumped against the cold bricks.
As he raised his head he noticed graffiti on a wall beginning to animate, unrecognisable words changing into faces, pictures of objects and then back again over and over. His confused gaze was soon pulled away from the graffiti as he felt a hand wrench his chin and force his face to point in another direction.
He found himself face to face with a shadowed figure in street clothing, and piercing red glowing eyes. Behind the figure were tree identical ones, all wielding various weapons that street thugs usually do. Lucent tried to move but found himself unable as it seemed as though his whole body was weighted too heavy to move. His panic increased as the figure that held him within their grasp, raised an arm with a knife in hand, and began bringing it down in what seemed like slow motion.
Sounds became distorted as the world began to spin around Lucent violently, making him feel sick beyond whatever illness he had ever known before, yet he did not throw up. The world ceased spinning as a new one materialised before him. In this world, Lucent found himself standing.
Lucent gasped for breath as he looked down at his body, badly beaten with various bloodstains dotted across him. Looking around, Lucent was able to determine his surroundings as very tall buildings rooftop. Clouds raced past at incomprehensible speeds, forcing Lucent to squint just to make out a strange silhouette atop another building across from the one on which he stood.
The clouds suddenly faded and fire took their place, blanketing almost the whole building save for the area upon which Lucent was standing. That didnt catch the dark blue bats attention so much as what the distant silhouette turned out to be.
A bead of cold sweat descended down Lucents brow as he made out a demented figure composed entirely of shadows and a ghastly purple aura standing on the very edge of the distant building, and in its grasp was a familiar female bat, covered in bruises and her own blood, her eyes barely open.
MYST! Lucent shouted as loud as he could but his voice came out distorted as if he was speaking into a device with bad reception. Myst painfully tilted her head upwards to face him and her eyes suddenly widened as she felt a sharp pain in her back. A contorted smile consisting of an almost endless row of teeth, stretched across what would have been the shadowy figures face.
Lucents jaw gaped and his pupils shrank when a large blood stained blade suddenly became visible protruding from Mysts stomach. The twisted mass of shadows only widened its sickening smile as it slowly withdrew its impaling blade out from its victim, sending a spray of blood to rain down on the streets below. Mysts head flopped down to face her falling blood, lifeless with eyes wide open in terror.
Above the psychotic grin of the dark creature, a grotesque eye bulged into existence, pointing its purple glowing pupil across the special gap between the buildings, meeting the shocked gaze of Lucent, the creatures grin impossibly wider than before.
w-wh.WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? screamed Lucent as his gaze met with the creatures. The monster replied by sinisterly narrowing its one eye before suddenly loosening its grip on Mysts limp mutilated body.
Lucent reacted instantly as Myst began to fall. He stepped up onto the very edge of his building and jumped with his arms outstretched.
Falling at a speed never before experienced by Lucent, he painfully kept his eyes wide open despite the painful gale. His wings flapping madly, Lucent tried his best to get close to Myst, closer, closer, closer
Alas, Lucents ruined wings proved a futile aid. Lucent desperately stretched his fingers outwards as far they could go, as he reached out to at least catch Myst by the hand, knowing fully well it would make no difference, there was no way he could fly back up again.
His fingers were merely inches away from Mysts and the ground was yet metres away, but it was the ground that met Lucents touch first.
Once again the world abruptly began to shift. A transition of maddening patterns and colours overwhelmed Lucents vision as he appeared to be floating in midair, not another soul in sight.
Thunder sounded in the distance, it was raining. Lucent could feel it on his cold face. He was lying down again, crystal drops from the heavens hailing down onto him directly from a dark sky riddled with storm clouds.
Lucent raised his head but soon regretted doing so. One of his legs was twisted the wrong direction, the other was covered in massive cuts. One of his arms was dislocated, completely numb, while the other was capable of moving. Lucent lifted the arm that could move and was unable to utter a scream as he saw the same mutilations along the hand as he had seen before in the endless realm of white.
He frantically looked around his surroundings and saw what could only be recognised as masses of broken machines.
He wanted to scream but was interrupted by a throbbing pulse in his chest. Looking down, Lucent caught sight of a gaping hole in his chest with a constant flow of blood leaking out from it.
The world began to tremble with every new boom of thunder
Boom
Boom
BOOM
Until there was nothing but darkness, and complete silence.
An echoing sound began from what seemed like miles away, but it began to become louder, and clearer. Laughter. Sinister laughter. The kind that nightmares are made of. A face materialised out from the darkness with a gaping maw, it was the face of that strange creature, the one that killed Myst and it was the source of the laughter.
The psychotic features of the dark being werent what scared Lucent, so much as the laughter that accompanied it laughter that Lucent soon recognised as his own.

"My final words to you, Lucent," Sachio began, trying to steady Lucent whilst still holding him, considering Sachio's underdeveloped frame "you thought you were rising, ... but now you will be falling... and this time, you won't be getting back up again. Ever.... old man."
With that, Sachio projected his arms out so that he was holding the lying Lucent above the open sea, from meters and meters below... about to drop him to his death.
Sachio was on the verge of loosening his grip on Lucent, when the once lifeless bat suddenly erupted into a frenzied fit of screaming.
Absolutely taken aback in shock, Sachio found himself losing his footing and beginning to panic. Out of reflex, he fell backward, dropping Lucent on the ground of the cliff as Sachio himself skidded back a little farther back.
Sachios heart was racing as he looked back at Lucent, who was supposed to have been rendered unconscious. The bat was now sprawled across the surface of the cliff, his eyes tightly shut beneath his bandana, and his screaming replaced with heavy breathing.
The clearly unsettled Sachio began to calm himself, his thoughts returning to him, analysing his situation. He remembered back to the first battle with Lucent, how he had let his guard down and suffered the consequences after believing Lucent to be unconscious, then he remembered how just previously he had fallen for the same ruse, believing Lucent to be unconscious during their beach fight and then once again suffering the consequences, the image of Lucent talking back to him materialised within his mind as he remembered the bats snide remark
Not bad for an old man, wouldnt you say so? And you taunt me for getting hit by the same move twice, have you forgotten the last time you got cocky and I blasted you?
Sachios brows lowered and his mouth twisted, both combining to form an enraged frown as he angrily stomped toward the suffering Lucent.
NEVER AGAIN! he shouted, while simultaneously delivering a sharp kick to Lucents side, flipping the bat over, toward the cliff edge.
Sachio bared his teeth as he stepped up toward Lucent once again. TODAY IS MY DAY!, yet another sharp kick was delivered to the fallen bat, causing him to gasp and cough, a spray of blood escaping his mouth as his aching body rolled further still, closer to the edge of the cliff.
Sachio nudged Lucent to turn over once more, placing him right on the edge and making him face the sky. He reached down and violently removed the bandana from Lucent, making the bats head thump against the ground as the bandana was removed.
Lucents eyes slowly opened, and blurs turned into sharper images as he began to see clearly. He saw Sachio, tying the bandana around his wrist.
Sachio grinned wickedly as he tightened the knot on the bandana and observed it on his wrist before looking down at Lucent, whos eyes were half open. What do you think? Does it suit me? Sachio sniggered, taking pleasure in Lucents drained appearance, reds really not my colour, but Ill get used to it. Afterall
The blue and lavender hedgehog placed a foot upon Lucents chest and pushed it firmly in place, its not polite to return a gift, in your case, a parting gift. Lucent began to slide off the edge as Sachio increased the pressure of his foot. No more last words Lucy, said Sachio with his chin raised and his eyes narrowed, Watch me prosper from hell.
hell
hell
...hell
That last word echoed in Lucents mind. As he began to slide off the side of the cliff, he saw it again that creature of darkness, it was standing in place of Sachio, looking down on Lucent, laughing with Lucents own voice once again.
Sliding off the edge into the pit of death below, Lucent roared in anger and clasped his hand around the creatures leg.
Sachio panicked and frantically reached for something to grip onto as he was pulled down along with Lucent. The hedgehogs vision filled with blurs of motion, reminiscent of what one would see when viewing film from a camera being thrown violently.
When the world stopped moving, Sachio found himself with one hand gripping onto one of Lucents tattered wings, ironically it was the hand with the newly acquired bandana, his fingers settled in between some random tears and holes within the ruined leathery carapace.
Looking up, Sachio saw Lucent staring back down at him with confused, cautious eyes. Lucent was hanging onto the edge of the cliff with but one hand, struggling to keep the full weight of himself and Sachio up, the aching pain throughout his whole body only making it more difficult.
Lucent gritted his teeth as he saw the shadowy creature that gripped onto his wing below him beginning to fade along with the haze that clouded the rest of his vision. He now saw Sachio, holding on for deal life right where the dark creature had been. The young hedgehogs previously smug appearance was replaced by one of genuine panic.
The tattered bat was somehow affected by the panic-stricken face of his adversary; he didnt feel any pleasure from seeing such pain brought upon one that he had so sorely hated. Instead he felt something else, almost guilt at having placed Sachio into this position, at first believing him to be a creature from his nightmares by mistake.
Maybe it was the overdrive rush of adrenaline messing with his thoughts, maybe it was withdrawal from his emerald having unexpected effects, or maybe it was lingering hallucinogenic effects placing irregular thoughts into Lucents brain, but whatever it was, Lucent reached out the hand that wasnt gripping the cliff-side, despite how painful it was to move that limb, and stretched it out to Sachio.
Sachio observed Lucent reaching out toward him, and was overcome by a number of conflicting emotions, including confusion. He was gratuitous for a way out of this almost inescapable situation, yet angered at having to accept help from his enemy. He hated the idea of accepting help from one that he almost finished off for good, and more so he hated the disturbing thoughts of what might come after accepting such help; owing a favour to his enemy, ridicule should the word get out of his rescue, and worst of all, loss of confidence from his sister, the only family he had.
Sachio shook his head to clear his thoughts and swallowed his pride as he reached out with the hand that wasnt griping Lucents wing carapace. The two warriors stretched their arms as far as they could, their fingertips about another hands length from each other.
I cant reach any further! Youre wing! Raise your wing!!! commanded Sachio as he silently wished his arms were just a little longer.
Lucent complied and gritted his teeth harder, his fangs in fullest view as he tried to raise his wing that supported Sachios full weight. Slowly but surely, the wing began to rise upward, shaking as it struggled to bring Sachio close enough to grab Lucents hand.
Sachio gritted his own teeth as he continued to stretch his arm. Thanks to Lucents efforts, his fingertips were now mere centimetres away from Lucents.
A sound that could be described as thick skin, peeling slowly, pierced the ears of both warriors as Sachios hand dropped a few centimetres down. Lucents wing shivered more violently as the both Lucent and Sachio realised what had happened. Sachio watched in horror as his fingers, weighted down by his entire body, began to rip through the leather carapace of Lucents tattered wings, Lucents blood seeping onto his fingertips.
UP! QUICKLY! shouted Sachio to Lucent, who was already taking action by straining his wing further upward, trying desperately to carry Sachio back up.
Lucent growled as the pain began to sting intensively at the joint that connected his wing to his body, but he still continued to raise the wing.
Sachios fingers were now right up against Lucents, the two began grasping their fingers around one another, knowing that soon they would be close enough to completely grab each others hand.
A subtle snapping noise sounded, and as subtle as it was, it pierced Lucent like an arrow. The bats eyes widened in panic, and Sachio; observing the sudden change in facial expression, also began to panic.
Lucents wing bones broke at the joint, causing the wing to violently swing back down, Sachios fingers slipping from Lucents and his whole body violently thrust down.
WHAT ARE YO- Sachios panicked scream was cut off as he saw his fingers rip right through the leathery carapace all the way to the end.
The image of Lucent reaching down to him, a shocked expression on his face, grew very distant very quickly as a forceful rush of wind could be felt all along Sachios back.
Lucent looked down in shock at Sachio as he fell; the young hedgehogs horrified face, his limbs madly flailing for any means of gaining a hold on something, his terrible screams That image would stay with Lucent forever.
Sachio opened his eyes, unaware that he had ever closed them to begin with. He saw Lucent, still dangling above, holding onto the cliff edge with what strength he had left. Sachio could see the sky too constant sky. He felt no more strong winds against his fur either, no loose falling stones or sand rattling against him, only a slight tingle in his chest, a tingle which turned into an ache, and an ache which turned into a searing pain.
Using what seemed like some of his precious little energy remaining, Sachio turned his head down to look at his chest. Protruding from the center was a spire of bloodstained stone. Horror befell his face as he realised what had happened, that stone that now skewered him was among the spiked masses of stones that lay beneath the cliff edge.
He let his head fall backward as he faced the sky once again. y..y-you ki-killed, m-m-me he spluttered, feeling blood escape from his mouth as his speech came out in a low husky tone.
What might have been a tear, or might have been a droplet sea spray, rolled down his face as he struggled another little bit of speech, m-mum fath..er M-mo wh-where areeee... ... .
Sachios body stopped twitching, and his lips stopped moving before he could even finish what he had to say. His head slumped to one side, his ruptured lips still slightly open, allowing a flow of blood to leak out and mix into the ocean water below, and his eyes remained wide open with shrunken pupils.
Sachio was dead.
Lucent closed his eyes tightly shut, trying to block out the image of Sachio dying below him. His eyes only opened again when he screamed as he used both arms to try and hoist himself up.
A set of arms coiled upward, almost ghoul-like as they scratched at the surface of the cliff top, frantically searching for something to grasp.
Following the arms was a head with two large bat ears. Summoning as much of his remaining strength as his limbs would allow, Lucent slowly managed to drag his body up from the cliff and lay above it, almost slipping off completely numerous times.
Lucent lay there, heaving breaths of precious air as large as his lungs could contain. He coughed up a large amount blood onto the ground on which he lay, and even had to turn to one side to throw up on some ground where he wouldnt lay his head.
Taking one moment to lay down, Lucent began to drag his body against the ground, back toward the previous battleground, back toward Arista, knowing perfectly well hed be useless whether he got there or not. Lucent could feel his body seemingly dying, the overuse of his magic without the aid of an emerald, and all of his wounds, both taking their toll on him.
Only managing to make it halfway back down the cliff toward the land, the last thing that caught Lucents attention was a faint hint of magical essence flowing in the air. His dazed eyes looked up to see a blurred image of a figure atop the rooftop of a distant boat house. Lucent didnt know who this individual was, but somehow he could sense magical essence emanating from them, almost as if it was leaking out from them clumsily, like they had no control over it, on another note it was impossible for Lucent with his poor far-sightedness to determine whether the strange figure had noticed Lucent observing them.
Not another moment was spent on that thought before Lucent collapsed, his back beginning to bleed again, and a new flow of blood forming from a snapped piece of bone that now stuck out from the joint of Lucents broken wing.
Wind blew against the bat and caused his hair and ears to move, nothing more. Peacefully he lay there, oblivious that unless fate would grant Lucent any aid in his current state, his body, drained of all its energy, would surely give in to his wounds and he would perish.

Well there you have it people, a dramatic scene that Ill bet a lot of us didnt see coming. Harsh indeed.
In case you are all wondering, yes Bentleee and I planned this little endeavour, we thought itd make for an interesting twist onto the already overwhelmingly engaging storyline. Just mentioning this in case anyone thinks I just killed Sachio upon my own accord. Im a better role player than THAT people ;P
And now, if youre all recovered from the nightmarish hallucinogen scene, and the shocking death of Sachio, I have one last morsel to add to this already long post. Take note that the following happens DURING the above.

IC:
Well. Azieral spoke up, obtaining the attention of the obviously surprised Sword. I wonder whatever that could be
Sword held no interest for what was obviously some form of gang conflict, and thus he turned his gaze not towards the city, but back to the conflict on the beach. Needless to say, Sword was somewhat thrown into further dismay as he saw that both the fox that appeared to be an ally of the bat, and Morgaine had both already abandoned their current battlefield and were closing in on a nearby boat house.
Shifting his gaze to the other battle, hoping to find something not quite so disappointing, Sword was indeed surprised to see the strange magic-wielding bat fall in battle, now being carried by Sachio in what appeared to be the direction of a cliff by the open sea.
Sword lowered his eyebrows as he decided it would be best to observe Sachio finish his task, that way he could at last speak to one of the notorious twins and be done with the reason he came here in the first place.
Azieral in the meantime, had clasped a hand over each of her sai and was prepared to counterattack.
Sword threw his scarf back over his shoulder as he began to walk toward Sachio and the cliff. Been a pleasure speaking with you. He said as he took his first step away from Azierals hiding place and began his walk, making sure to keep enough distance so that he was out of Sachios sight range, but keeping Sachio within Swords own incredible sight range.
Azieral let out a sigh as she heard the stranger leave abruptly. Sure it would have been nice to get some answers from him, but it wouldnt have been pleasant to have to resort to fighting an opponent such as he, who she knew near nothing about.
---
Sword kept a great distance away as he eventually saw Sachio about to drop his adversary off the edge, although he seemed to be hesitating. Saying some final words of glory no doubt, it would after all be true to the character of the young hedgehog.
As Sword waited, he mentally ran through the short conversation he had with the individual who was in hiding just before, trying his best to make a strong mental note of the sound of their voice, their manner of speech, so that Sword may recognise the individual should he ever meet her again. Yes, her, Sword would have to keep note of that as well.
A scream interrupted Swords chain of thought as he looked up from his thinking position and saw both Sachio and the bat topple over the edge, the bat first.
Concentrating hard, Sword could make out a hand still clinging onto the edge, although due to the similarities in fur colour, and the haze of sand, it was difficult to tell if that was the hand of Sachio or the blue bat.
Sword rushed over to another position along the beach where he could make out what was happening on the side of the cliff that he could not see.
He arrived just in time to watch Sachio plummet to his doom, Sword winced as the hedgehog landed, impaling himself, on a spire of sharp stone.
damn cursed Sword as he realised what had happened, that blasted bat had messed up his intentions once again. Not that he cared much for the death of Sachio, but merely that he did not get a chance to converse with him at all. Really he had both of the warriors by the cliff to blame, they were both so stubbornly persistent that their conflict led to such an end.
Sword contemplated his available options as he took note of the bat eventually rising from the cliff and collapsing halfway back to land, surely on the verge of death anyway
OOC: Bloody hell! That was an amazing and superbly written piece there, and a surprise I didnt see coming. Very well handled!
It was also good in the sense then that things wouldnt boil down to constant never-ending conflict after all, nobody really likes it when their character dies, and to that extent, such key characters might not ever end up dying, and so its a vicious continuing circle
Absolutely brilliant. nuff said.

She relaxed. The eagle had at last gone, and so she took a moment to let out a sigh of relief. He was an anomaly to a situation, most of the players here she knew off, but him, no, he was an enigma. A dark horse that would have to be watched out for.
Slowly, she turned around to finally see what the situation between the other combatants was like. And both sets of fights
had vanished.
One was moving to a nearby boat house, at least she assumed that to be the case. It must have been the vixen, Azieral had sensed that she had somehow obtained the Chaos Emerald off from Lucent earlier, and so her battle against Morgraine must have taken its turn over there.
Four of her eyes then subsequently turned to the cliff. There was no mistaking from the size of it that she had sensed a spike of chaos energy emanating from there, but now, there were no signs of anything. No fighting whatsoever, and no combatants either. Could they have fallen off the cliff?
Given how it was Arista with the Chaos Emerald, and she was fighting Morgraine earlier and their battle led to the boathouse, it must have been that it was Sachio and Lucent who were battling at the cliff. The both of whom, were her inevitable targets to complete for G.U.N. What she had been hoping, that all of her targets were wearing each other down and leaving them in a state comfortable enough for her to kill them in, seemed at last to be coming to fruition.
She finally stepped out from behind the ticket booth. It would make sense now then to check out that site first, and to observe and take the spoils of war. Depending on the situation and status of either of the combatants, she would at last make her move
She darted forwards, crossing the beach. The porcupine had decided to take up enough time now to look up once more from her nails (whilst her attention had been distracted by them before, Sword was easily able to pass) and Lienna finally noticed Azieral.
Hey! she called out.
Azieral spared only time to glance at her with one of her many eyes and lift up one of her arms, shooting out a thin strand of webbing which stuck to the porcupines mouth, catching her by surprise. Before she could react, Azieral had then used the three of her arms that were to the side of Lienna, and then release a long strand of webbing that coated and stuck Liennas body together in what resembled a cocoon. Lienna struggled to break free, but this only ended up resulting in her falling over, a series of mumbles and groans escaping her gag, but no sensible words could be defined. During this whole time, Azieral kept her pace as she ran to the cliff.
She was unable to see Sword during the meantime, he was a fair bit of distance away from the remainder of the cliff as he had moved to get a better vantage point of what had happened to Sachio. But his keen eyesight didnt make Azieral approach to the cliff go unnoticed. For whatever reason it seemed that the Black Widow realised that something had transpired here, and was arriving for whatever reason. Well then, he quickly contemplated. Is she still spectator, or is now otherwise?
Near the battle between the Nocturnes and Sachio/Morgraines forces
It was chaotic. He had followed them all to this point now from the trail of Pluggs stench, but what greeted him something far more unpleasant. It was a huge gang warfare between the Nocturnes and Sachio and Morgraines men at their base; and the sounds of gunfire, shouts and small scale explosions made it almost impossible to think.
Lucent and Arista. I need to find them. None of these people are important. The weary Cheetah thought to himself. He was drained, not only from his earlier confrontation with the Nocturnes, but the mere fact that he had also spent a large deal of time constantly running either from them or after them, the whole situation with searching for Arista earlier and the confrontation with the men and other, more feral feline.
He was worn out, almost at his brink and yet still found himself moving on. For a purpose that almost made it necessary to leave David and (the now deceased) Delouger and the rest of the Neo Freedom Fighters. He sighed, as he breathed heavily from his vantage point. He was crouching down at the entrance of an alleyway, watching the nearby battle, but making a point so as to not to get himself dragged into it. The people fighting did deserve to be defeated, but they were only the small fry. It would be much more important that the main leaders, such as Lucent were defeated.
Yet he could not see, hear or smell him. Instead, an overriding smell continued to be in the way.
Grr, Im supposed to be a hunter, a tracker, and yet I cant find that Bat?! he whispered to himself in an aggravated tone. They have to be somewhere near here
Nocturne and Sachio/Morgraines forces battlefield
The Nocturnes hid behind whatever shelter they could find, mainly from the shattered and ruined husks of car shells, but even then they would offer limited protection against an enemy with better defences and a vantage point. Their enemy, the forces of Sachio and Morgraine, had a whole base and hideout with which to be able to use, and so far, the Nocturnes were not only suffering heavy casualties, but were now practically pinned.
I sure hope Lucent hurries up and finishes what hes doing! Tabby spoke up from behind the chassis of a broken down vehicle.
Course he does! Plugg replied, quick to speak back up. Hes the main man, he knows what he doing! Plugg hesitantly turned his head in order to look around the side, but quickly ducked back as a bullet almost hit him, narrowly missing however as it ricocheted off the worn metal. Ya gotta have faith in him!
Faith, sure. Tabby replied with a hint of depression. What they were in was far from a good situation. Already he had cheated death numerous times from narrowly missing gun fire, and he wondered just how long he would able to do so left. I sure hope hes done fighting! We need Lucents power here for sure!
The cliff
To say she was surprised would have been an understatement. Shocked, more like. The great Lucent who she had even begun to, in a sense, revere, was now beaten to a pulp. To finish him now would take little effort at all. She walked around Lucent slowly, examining the body, before peering over the cliff, searching for Sachio, and finding his motionless, dead body. Well, that was one target accounted for, dead already.
She had already had the opportunity of killing Lucent before. After she had retrieved the shotgun one of Lucents men left on top of a building. During the meantime, the bat had been in a confrontation with Sachio, and left the battle looking worse for wear. Of course, back then was better then what he appeared like now. And yet, it could have been so incredibly easy to have finished him off once and for all then.
So why hadnt she done it? Well, the answer was now staring her in the face; Sachio. Lucent was an incredible opponent, just the kind needed to either wear down, or kill the hedgehog. In that respect, Lucent had served a part of his purpose, disposing of one of the twins. The other was to be in such a condition that would be ripe for her to kill.
Yet, she was reluctant. She should have just done it, there and then. End the Bat, and end the possibility of him coming back. Another chance like this would be rare to come. But something strange was making it difficult for Azieral to just run her Sai along his throat.
Myst her own tale
No, sentimentality, emotion such as that was a weakness. Azieral shook her head from side to side, as if rubbing it away completely. Get it over with, finish the job. DO IT!
She put away the Sai. This feeling was inconvenient, and as such it was preventing her from doing it. Why exactly, she did not know. But over the coming time, shed be able to purge it, and then finally complete her job.
or would she?
She knelt down, ready to pick Lucent up, and then carry him a safe distance away from where they were. Back to the Nocturne base and to Myst, so she could heal him and tend to his injuries.
And during all this time, the eagle Sword continued to watch.
OOC: If ANYONE has a problem with this please let me know. I will change it to whatever everyone can live with. It's an odd idea I had and felt like trying it. Here goes...

THE BOATHOUSE
*The Rooftop*
============================================================
Jet had been pretty focused on the fighting inside the boathouse. Unaware that Lucent had indeed seen him, it didn't matter. The bat had fallen unconcious. Jet watched the foxgirl and Morgaine very cautiously. He had to get in there and get Tech out.
He was ready for anything except what happened next...
Jet had never encountered a Chaos Emerald and didn't know that one was right under him with the vixen.
Ari was moving about underneath him for a while, but when she moved close enough to where he was watching from, Jet felt a very strange, dizzying sensation come over him. It was awful and he felt it the most in his head. This had never happened before and he didn't know how to react other than to ignore it. No matter what! He had to stay focused.
As he watched their movements again, Ari, moved even closer to where he was. The sensation got worse. It felt like it was hurting him now.
Trying to fight it as best he could, he wasn't paying any attention to what he was doing and the roof was beginning to give under the frantic weasels weight. By the time Jet realized what had happened it was too late. Jet fell through the hole and with a loud "THUNK" and a cry of pain, he had landed on his head somehow. He just layed on his face a moment, stunned at his own stupidity.
"Ow...What else could go wrong today?", Jet thought as he rubbed his head a moment realizing the trouble he had literally "fallen into."

(OOC: Dang...just...DANG!!!)
IC, Hospital Alleyways:
"We gotta get back in there."
Myst's eyes opened wide in supprise. "What??? After all that you just spouted??? Wraith, what the..."
"Not now." interrupted Wraith, setting off back towards the hospital. "I promise that when this is all over, I'll explain everything, but right now there's no time!"
Myst followed him, her mind in a quandry. What was Wraith getting at??? He had just done a complete turn-around...gone back on everything he had just said...
Did it have something to do with the intruders and that robot...thing...? She started in horror as the thought occured to her...maybe when he had used the phone before he had called for backup, and now his "Neo-Freedom Fighters" were attacking the Noctourne's base!
Could it be that the noble, honorable Wraith was actually a double-crossing cheat, just like all the other gangs out there? Now they were going back...why? To take over the base and wait for Lucent?
She swallowed hard. No, surely it couldn't be that...and yet, what else could it be?
Wraith was striding (as best he could with his knee) back towards the hospital, when suddenly he was confronted by a large crocodile with a nasty looking rifle under his arm! "Hold it right there buddy! Who are you?"
"Ragnarok???" exclaimed Myst from behind him. "What are you doing out here?"
The crocodile's eyes flicked over to her. "Myst! I could say the same thing myself! We're following the boss's orders and guarding the area!"
"He told you to guard the building, not out here! You're easy targets like this!"
"That's what I figured, but the orders came from Lucent himself."
"Since when???"
"Since five minutes ago, when he got back. Tyson told us what he said."
"Lucent's back???" exclaimed both Myst and Wraith together.
Ragnarok nodded. "Yeah. What were you doing out here if you didn't know? And who's this guy?" He poked Wraith's chest with the gun barrel, causing a slight metallic clunk on the Echidna's armour.
"He's our prisoner." replied Myst quickly. "Didn't you hear Plugg and Azerial came back with him? He's the leader of the Neo-Freedom Fighters."
"What's he doing out here then?"
"He managed to escape in the confusion, when you all were worried about the attack. I chased him and caught him."
"How come you didn't bind him or anything?" asked the corc, a note of suspicion in his voice.
"I didn't have anything with me." replied Myst angrily. "Besides, he can't really escape with that injury can he! Now stand aside and let us see Lucent! He'll be happy to meet this guy!"
Ragnarok stard at her for the briefest of moments, before nodding curtly. Wraith continued to walk on, followed closely by Myst, and as the bat passed Ragnarok, he touched her arm a moment. "Hey, when you see the boss, see if you can get him to let us back inside. I don't like it out here, and he seems to listen to you more than us."
Myst nodded. "Where is he?"
"Top floor. Came in through the roof."
The roof? Both Myst's and Wraith's minds started working on this, but neither said anything else as yet. Myst was thinking hard...why would Lucent come in that way? Where was the rest of the gang that went with him? Why would he order the guards to go outside? And Lucent hated machines, so if it was him, why would he me hanging around with that combat mech thing that they saw before? She stared at Wraith as she followed him into the hospital. He knew more than he was telling...what was his stake in this?
Wraith's mind was on a totally different track. Lucent was back, and on the top floor??? But that was where the others had gone! They had come to rescue him (defying a direct order in the process) and unwittingly put themselves in more danger than they could possibly imagine! How had Lucent got back without Wraith or Myst noticing? And how had he known that Tails and David, and possibly Max too, were coming in from the roof? It didn't matter...if Lucent was as dangerous as the reports suggested, he'd have lots of ways of doing those things.
And why had he sent the guard out onto the streets around the hospital? He probably wanted the fun of killing the invaders himself! Wraith wasn't really in a position to fight the bat himself, but he'd stand more chance than Max and David, and probably Tails too, and hopefully Myst would try what she had been saying, talking to him and getting through to him.
He hadn't freamed that anything like this could happen so soon though!
============================================================
Hospital: Inside
"That is correct, sir. Everyone has left. There are no more lifesigns in the building."
Max gritted his teeth. "But hang on, if Wraith was here, they wouldn't let him leave! What's going on?"
"Perhaps they moved him to another location after his phone call?" suggested David.
Max nodded. "Maybe...or maybe..." he paused, then shook his head, as though deciding not to continue. Tails looked up at him.
"What?"
"Nothing. Just thinking."
Tails narrowed his eyes. "What is it? You sound like you're worried about something."
Max sighed. "I'm just thinking...what if for some reason Wraith's gone off his head and actually joined this gang...I dunno, maybe hoping to see Ari or something."
Tails' face looked shocked. "Max, how could you say that??? He'd never do anything like that!"
Max nodded. "I know, kid, I know. It's just that whenever I try to solve a problem, I think of all possibillities, however improbable. I don't for a second believe it."
"Sir, two of the lifesigns outside are entering the building again." reported David, checking his sensors again.
"Okay, much as I hate to do this, we need info." muttered Max. "Come on all, we're going to capture those two figures and question them. Tails, see if you can find something to hide our faces with. We can't let anyone know that the Neo-Freedom Fighters are involved in this. Try to keep your second tail hidden too. We'll have to be careful."
Tails nodded and dashed into a nearby room, returning a moment later with a long roll of bandage. "How about wrapping up our faces in this, just leaving our eyes?" he asked. "Not ideal, but it's the best I can find for now."
"It'll have to do." replied Max, taking the bandage and commencing wrapping it around his head. "David, nobody knows you're aphiliated with us, so you should be okay without this. Besides, I get the deeling you'll be the most important one to restrain them, so you'll need full freedom of movement."
David nodded. "Understood sir."
A moment later Max and Tails' disguises were complete, their heads wrapped in bandages and only their eyes showing. Max set off towards a neaby flight of stairs, his voice distorted by the layers on his mouth. "Okay, let's go."
============================================================
Boathouse
The old boathouse was rikkety enough as it was...let alone with the duo of Morgaine and Arista fighting away inside it!
As Ari had guessed, the whip's length was of little use in here, and Morgaine had decided to wrap it around her fingers, instead using the long, thick leather handle as a kind of club. Ari was swinging Lucent's chain in one hand, and was also holding her knife in the other, although her wrist still stung and she could do little with it. The end of the whip still wrapped around it gave her some support though.
They fought visiously, swinging at each other hard and diving around with impressive speed to avoid each other's attacks! Quite often they would miss, instead hitting support beams of the boathouse and weakening the building's structure even more!
Ari swung the chain hard, trying to slash at Morgaine's face, but she ducked quickly and the spiked chain embedded itself in an upright wooden pole. Morgaine quickly rushed forward, still ducked down, and implanted a shoulder firmly beneath Ari's ribs! She found herself thrown backwards, winded, the force of the blow even strong enough to tear the chain free of the pole! The pole splintered like matchwood, the roof above creaking as it's support was further deminished.
She landed on some shelves holding oars for some of the boats, and as she impacted with them the shelves cracked, raining chunks of wood and oars down on her! She cried out and brought an arm up to block the shower, but when she lowered her arm again she was immeadeately met by the handle of Morgaine's whip in the face! Her head was smashed sideways, blood dripping from her mouth where she had bitten her tongue.
Gritting her teeth she lunged forward with her knife, scoring a deep scar across Morgaine's cheek! The hedgehog stepped backwards in supprise, muttering a curse, and Ari quickly stood up again, or at least, as quick as she could. She was bruised and battered all over. She was putting up a couragous fight, but Morgaine did have the upper hand, and Ari had sustained most of the injuries!
Morgaine was about to jump forward again, raising her whip to strike, but before she could they both heard a sound above them, the noise of splintering wood! They looked up in shock to see part of the roof collapsing in on them! Quickly they both dived out of the way as a large chunk of wood crashed to the floor where they had just been standing. Morgaine was on her feet again immeadeately, and Ari quickly stood up too, but for the moment neither of them were looking at each other!
"Ow...What else could go wrong today?" muttered the Weasel who had dropped in along with the piece of roofing, rubbing his head sourly.
(OOC: Just done this last bit to bring Ari and Morgaine up to the same timeframe as everyone else. Ari's been injured more than Morgaine, and Morgaine is very terretorial anyway, so I think she would probably speak before Ari. I'll let Ben take over that bit, unless she dissagrees with me^^)
OOC:Everyone's posts are just BRILLIANT! And that post about killing Sachio was some increadible writting. Awesome idea. Plot twists keep the story going afterall. Makes me wanna stick around, that's certain. Hopefully this RP will last a while.
I really don't have anything to add until someone else posts. Not sure about using other folks characters just yet.
Oh yeah. I don't have info for a profile yet, but here's Tech if anyone cares. --~~>www.deviantart.com/view/27267525/
OOC: Sorry it's taken a while. As well as starting back at Uni, the gym wears me out. Ha ha!
Like I've said before James, fantastic post. Really had an effect! Never had that off an RP before. I was left feeling morbid about Sachio's death
And everyone else's followups, never short of fantastic as usual. Weiter so!
Oh wow Jet, that's a lovely picture. I was intrigued by your description as to what creature Tech was. That picture does your info much justice and the pic's plain gorgeous! n.n

The streets
Frost made his way rapidly towards the end of Turner street, just as Delougere had told him as to the whereabouts of the Warehouse.
He heard a massive explosion, which caused him to skid to a halt and kick up some dust. After having stood still, he flicked his head to look at the background and watched as a massive flame cascaded in the sky.
He smirked with delight. That crazed rabbit had obviously done the job. His psychotic obession with explosives will have spelt the end of himself and those twins. And the tiger as well who tried to snag the red Chaos Emerald.
Two Chaos Emeralds he had in possession as of yet. The light blue one as given to him by Eggman, and the red one which he found after having hijacked the truck.
He briefly pondered how that gang with the oil truck had acquired the red emerald in the first place- but then dismissed it as a waste of time. Unfortunatly, even in this post-apocalytpic world were whit and intelligence was required to survive- even the most dense people seemed to have survived.
'Not for long. I'll kill them all.' he sneered in his mind.
As he began to walk gradually though, he couldn't but hear a crack of thunder in the distance- which caught him by surprise and caused him to swirl his head in the direction of a looming black cloud.
At that moment... he stood still and held a reflective gaze as the wind began to pick up debris, leaves and soot.
He didn't know why- but a sudden irking and disturbing sense overwhelmed him.
"Someone walk over your grave son?" called out a frail voice.
Frost snapped his stare towards a dark alleyway. He sneered; both at the intruding voice and the fact he hadn't been more alert.
As he approached the shady darkness in a cold-manner, he eyed a black-silhouetted individual from head to toe.
"I have no respect for people who simply 'get by' with brute and strengh in this world," the elderly voice continued "power comes from the heart."
Frost continued to stare at the figure.
Eventually he was able to make out a very old, brown rat with grey tufts of fur, leaning on a walking stick as he spoke.
He also appeared to be donning a pair of dark glasses.
Inrigued, Frost waved a palm in front of his face.
No reaction. He was blind.
"Bereavement I sense?" the rat said.
"What the hell?!" Frost snapped angrily.
"You've lost someone... I sense it... just now."
"I don't hesitate killing people old man! I suggest you keep quiet before I snap your neck.." Frost uttered a growl, reaching out to hoist him.
Before he could do so, however, a spontaneous flash of lightning blinded the scene, followed by a booming thunder which echoed across the derelict city.
Followed by that was the sounds of helicopters and sirens of emergency vans.
Frost grunted- unsure of who the fleet were but decided not to hang around. It could have been G.U.N and he didn't particularly want to get tangled up with them at this time- even if they were around for other purposes rather than hounding him down.
"I don't have time for you old man. You won't live long anyway you blind thing... and at the rate you're jabbering on with your preech and prattle, someone will surely kill you to put an end to both their and your misary!" Frost snorted, before dashing off from the scene immediatly.
__
Frost skidded to a halt, as he found himself stopping outside a massive warehouse.
The odd resonance of thunder and lightning had been displaced thanks to the distance he had given himself.
He was unsure as to which direction this approaching storm might be travelling in, but he didn't care. He had matters to attend to.
And he wasn't going to let what that enigma of an old rat play on his mind. Though his mystical words did seem to reflect a certain emptiness, or void as such, he felt earlier on. What was the meaning of that sudden mental chasm?
"Grrr... enough!" he said out loud, swooping a dismissive arm across his body, before standing up straight and approaching the warehouse.
He was after Wraith the Echidna, Miles 'Tails' Prower, and some possible information about the notirous ever-rising gang, 'The Nocturnes'.
He was prepared to inflict a lot of lethal discord and disarray- if his victims decide to be non-compliant with his demands.
Eyeing the large outside door from top to bottom, he stepped back a bit- before leaping forwards and knocking the door down with a flying kick.
The wooden mass fell of its hinges and hit the ground with a 'heart-skipping' bang.
OOC2: I can't remember who's in the wareehouse o_O Can you get someone to react Wraith? If that's okay. Significant or insignifcant. Lol *shot*

The boathouse
"Ow...What else could go wrong today?" muttered the Weasel who had dropped in along with the piece of roofing, rubbing his head sourly.
Morgaine blinked a few times, her panda shaded eyes making her look a bit dazed- before she shook her head viciously to snap her head back into focus.
She got up, walking over to the fallen weasel. She stopped before him, whilst pulling two ends of the whip in an intimedating fashion as she fixed her cold eyes on him.
"What else could go wrong today...?" she repeated with a subtle snigger "the cat of nine-tails against your back, that's what!" she announced, flicking the dagger rope against the floor which gave off an ear-piercing lashing sound.
Shortly afterwards, Morgaine pulled back the belt- ready to slash her rodent victim...
Jet's eyes widened in a frightful manner, followed by his ears lowering, before he shielded his body with his hands. He gritted his teeth- ready to feel the cut slash across him.
"Ugh!" Morgaine uttered, finding herself at the receiving end of a vicious kick and thus stumbling to one side which caused the thrashing whip to only just miss Jet. The whip had left a skid mark on the wooden floor just an inch away from Jet.
In addition, the whip had also managed to slip from Morgaine's grasp and roll to one side of the room.
Surprised to find himself unscathed- no scream... no lash... no pain... Jet gradually opened his tightly shut eyes. He peeked through his fingers, at the two confrontational females in front of him.
The female hedgehog growled, opening her eyes as she stared daggers at Arista.
She had obviously kicked her out the way before she could inflict the attack.
"Low... just low! To do your 'uncalled-for' deeds..." Arista sneered, her fists loosening and tightening to control her anger "you and your brother are vile... it's only right your lives are ended!"
Morgaine stifled her snide laughter, before pushing her palms against the wooden floor to hoist herself up.
She took criss-crossing 'model like' strides towards Ari- as if to accentuate a certain dominance and to belittle the vixen.
"And you're thinking you're the one to do the job? To end our lives?" Morgaine spoke up, getting more vicious on every word.
She spontaneously shoved Arista with both hands, causing the Vixen to stumble back slightly. Ari was however, able to recover herself from falling, and stood up straight again- defiant in being patronized like this.
"Pft! Look at you... you're so pathetic!" Morgaine said, eyeing her up and down from head to toe "you're slithering... you're weak... you're feeble. And you know why?!" she continued, observing Arista's ever-stern stare.
"Because you're you! Your stupid parents... were so easy to kill. So bloody easy.... my god!" she laughed, shaking her head as she briefly stared into space to recall the massacre incident "so bloody easy. And you happen to have those beggarly, needy and wretched genes which make you the pitiful fox mink you are today and will always be. You're weak! And a waste of space and will never amount to anything..."
Ari maintained a defiant stare, at this point leaving Morgaine in the unknown as to whether she had been effected by that verbal onslaught.
Morgaine frowned, before bringing a palm back and slapping Arista across the cheek like lightning.
This made Jet wince slightly- covering his eyes even more as he almost 'felt' the pain of that slap.
Arista however, uttered no yelp or scream- simply having felt her head jolt and the stining pain.
Nonetheless, she brought her daring expression back in place to face Morgaine.
Morgaine stared at her coldly for a good half minute, before nodding slightly and then rolling her eyes.
"Now let me just reclaim my whip so that I can skin you alive... fox mink!" Morgaine sniggered, throwing her head over her shoulder before striding off to reclaim her whip.
Like a bolt of thunder, Arista, gritting her teeth with anger, took the oppurtunity to leap at Morgaine from behind.
The tackle caught Morgaine by surprise, causing her to utter a slight scream before the girls found themselves in a vicious fight against the ground.
"Get off of me you mink!" she snarled, trying to slip through Ari's grasp.
Morgaine eventually freed an arm, and took the chance to elbow Arista's face.
Arista staggered back slightly, wincing from a black eye that the elbow deal gave her.
Grabbing her dagger, she slashed Morgaine across the arm- causing the hedgehog to wince slightly as she instinctively covered the cut with her other hand.
It was rather deep...
Before either of them could contemplate the next blind attack to give each other, they spontaneously yelped as the found certain planks on the ground giving away. The constant fighting and rough and tumble was obviously beginning to take a tumble on the old boat house.
Arista was about to jump out of the way as she felt the floor give way beneath her- but found it too late. She was about to fall into the sea beneath her- where she heard other planks fall with a splash.
She reached out desperately... her fingers somehow grasping onto shards of wood despite being splintered in the process.
She was now dangling- holding for dear life onto what was remaining of the ends of the floorboards of the boathouse due to the gap that formed in that part of the boathouse caused by her fight with Morgaine.
She gulped- glad that she hadn't fallen... yet.
Morgaine in the meantime, had been ridiculously lucky.
She took care, however, as she gradually walked across the floor- as the planks were creaking and whining increasingly from the weight of her every step.
She had also managed to somehow, reclaim her whip.
"The sharks are out today..." she laughed "they'd ignore you had you avoided some wound infliction... but you know what it's like..." Morgaine spoke, pointing at the various scars on Arista.
"They love a bit of blood and vital fluid... so..." she paused, slowly bringing the whip back "that'll bring them in! Enjoy the last seconds of your life sweety..."
With that, Morgaine brought the whip forwards rapidly- about to lash Arista's fingers which were still holding onto the edges of the plank.
OOC2: Was in a rush. Hope my descriptions of the cliffhanger aren't 'impossible' to interperate o_O

BOATHOUSE
Jet rubbed his head sourly and wondered,"What else could go wrong today?"
His ears perked up at the reply.
"What else could go wrong today?" Asked the hedgehog, now looking on with a cold expression, "The cat of nine tails against your back! That's what!"
Jet knew he gotten himself into a bad situation. The sensation he felt earlier still lingered too, making his head hurt... more. He felt his fur stand on end when he saw Morgaine raise her whip to strike him. All he could do was hope to protect himself somehow with his arms. He raised his arms and closed his eyes. He couldn't watch!
Then something amazing happened. Just as she was about to whip him good, Ari kicked her in the side causing her to drop her whip and miss Jet by a mere inche. As Jet peeked through his fingers he saw a huge slash mark on the ground next to him.
Jet was stunned! "That was gonna be my back!" he thought to himself. He then got up and brushed himself off.
"Low... just low! To do your 'uncalled-for' deeds..." the vixen sneered, "you and your brother are vile... it's only right your lives are ended!"
Jet couldn't help but agree to some degree. He didn't believe in actually killing someone though.
"And you're thinking you're the one to do the job? To end our lives?" Morgaine said as she became even more vicious with her words.
She shoved shoved Arista with both hands, causing her to stumble back slightly.
With that he saw Morgaine viciously slap Ari across the face! He couldn't help but wince at the horrible sound it made! So painful!
"Now let me just reclaim my whip so that I can skin you alive... fox mink!" Morgaine sniggered, throwing her head over her shoulder before striding off to reclaim her whip.
"Ouch!" He thought, wishing he could do something. He had to get Tech out before he did ANYTHING though!
As the two began fighting again, Jet seized the moment to go to Tech and get him out!
He slowly crept over to the boat making sure to listen to the hedgehog and fox girl's every move as he did so.
He reached the boat and lifted the tarp, "Tech?" he whispered.
"Jet?" came a frightened reply. "Oh Jet! It is you! I knew you weren't gonna leave me here!" And with that Tech leaped from his hiding spot and clung to Jet's, now rather dirty, leather coat.
"Tech you go on and get out of here! Go out the hole in the roof and take the long way to Amanda's place. Watch for anyone who looks suspicious and make sure you're not seen! Something's going on and I'm gonna get to the bottom of it."
"But..I thought.."
"Just get going! I'll meet you there when I can!"
And with that Tech flew off. Then As Jet made his way towards the entrance he heard what sounded like splintering wood! He spun around and saw that the foxgirl had fallen through the floor and that Morgaine was gonna knock her into the ocean below!
Jet thought a second,"She helped me, so I should help her right?" He reasoned as best he could as his head still hurt slightly. He then darted off to where Morgaine was standing over the broken floor.
"The sharks are out today..."Morgaine sneered "they'd ignore you had you avoided some wound infliction... but you know what it's like..." Morgaine spoke, pointing at the various scars on Arista.
"They love a bit of blood and vital fluid... so..." she paused, slowly bringing the whip back "that'll bring them in! Enjoy the last seconds of your life sweety..."
As Morgaine was about to finish it, she was met with a swift kick to her side that caused her to skid a few feet away from the hole. With that Jet went to the hole, "Don't worry, I just wanna help." He spoke as he pulled the fox up onto the ground again. Jet felt his headache coming back, but he was able to ignore it now. He had far more pressing issues.
As he turned back to Morgaine, she was already on her feet and ready with her whip.
"You meddlesome weasel! I'll teach you a lesson you won't soon forget! You and the foxmink!" she sneered as she cracked her whip in an intimidating manner as if to try and scare them.
"I can take it!" The weasel said in an almost impatient voice.

OOC: I don't know what was planned for the cliffhanger Ben, but I'll change it if I messed it up. I just thought it was a good spot to get Jet involved but I have no problem changing any of the post. There you go, Jet helped Ari. Have fun! ^_^ It'll be fun to see where the fight between Ari and Morgaine goes!
I'm just wondering what became of Joy and her sister? No one's mentioned her for a little while. =/ They seemed pretty interesting to read about.
OOC: Joy and her sister were characters of Nuchtos, but's he since left. As such, the characters have become NPCs and sort of drifted away... as evident that the sister had joined with Asher and Angela, but vanished after they arrived at the warehouse, I think.
If you want to control them, I'm sure that'd be okay.
IC later.
OOC: Oh! I was just wondering is all. Thanks man.
I'll have an IC when some other folks post here. =3
...My avatar changed again. Aww! I liked the chaos, they were cute! How do customize that thing anyway!?
OOC: It isn't your avatar, but rather an icon. The icons change based on your post count.
This here shows the various icons if you scroll down to user level.
If you want a unique avatar like mine or Bens, then:
Go to your control center. The link to the control center looks like this. If a similar link doesn't appear on the board for you, then you probably need to enable cookies or log in. Click on the "edit profile" button. You can enter an URL to use as a personal photo here. To set the pic's size, just add " width=number height=number" after the pic's URL, separated by spaces. Don't use a width greater than 120 pixels.
Again, that information as well as icon levels are all in the first link leading to the Useful Info.
OOC: Oh! Ok. Cool. Thanks again Pach.
(OOC: lol I was wondering what would happen with regard to Frost getting to the warehouse Ben^^ I'll see what I can do lol. I've browsed through some of the earlier pages and found a couple of characters mentioned in passing that could come in here.)
IC:
Aaron the Racoon was sat at the desk, flicking through some of the gang's files, totally immerced in his reading. "Noctournes..." he kept muttering to himself quietly. "Lucent...Noctournes...Lucent..."
"What are you doing?" He looked up to see Agis, the Lynx, stepping up to him, towering over him with her impressive height. She had at one point been Female Kickboxing Champion of Mobius, and her muscular build reflected it clearly, added to by her thin, black, sleeveles vest and black denim shorts!
Aaron was momentarily speechless...he secretly thought Agis was very attractive, and had many times wanted to talk to her, but he had never had the guts. After all, why would a huge, powerful, impressive creature like her be interested in a short, overweight, geeky computer whizz like him? He nibbled the collar of his green shirt for a second, trying to organise his thoughts enough to reply, before looking up again.
"I-ah-I'm just checking what info we have on the Noctournes...you know, since Ari's with them...we may need to face them."
"Good point." nodded Agis thoughtfully. "What have we got?"
"Not much." admitted Aaron, holding the small file open for her to see. "Base of operations unknown. Gang size and strength, unknown. Known offences, few enough to count on one hand..." He sighed and put the file back on the desk. "Everyone knows they're one of the most dangerous gangs, and everyone knows they're behind a whole lot of junk, but proving it is another matter entirely! They cover their tracks well!"
Agis nodded slowly. "I'd love to meet up with that bat-eared leader of theirs...five minutes alone with him and I'd see to it he'd confess to anything."
"I can imagine!" exclaimed Aaron, grinning. He couldn't help thinking in the back of his mind that he could take Lucent's place in that little story though. Even being beaten up by Agis would be a joy for him!
Suddenly there was a loud CRASH as the main door to the warehouse came flying into the room, propelled by some kind of powerful force! A figure came with it, a dark, cold looking hedgehog, flying through the air like a bullet, having apparently kicked the door off it's hinges! He landed in the warehouse bent low, one hand flung out behind him, his eyes slowly sliding across the room.
The whole gang had jumped at the shock of the entrance, but they quickly got over it and immeadeately weapons from guns to knuckledusters to knives were drawn and the crowd charged forward, forming a rough half-circle around the newcomer, standing ready for battle!
"What a nice welcome." murmured the hedgehog, straightening up and grinning sadisticly. "It's nice to know your efforts are appreciated."
"Who are you runt, and what's your buisness here?" retorted a large lizard by the name of Leon, holding a small pistol in his hand, the barrel aimed squarely at the hedgehog's head.
"My name is Frost." retorted the hedgehog. "And my buisness is to find out where that so-called "hero" wuss of your master is. Tell me quick, and I may spare you all."
"And just who do you think that master is?" Agis strolled slowly through the crowd, stepping forward before Leon could offer a reply. "I think you've got the wrong house, sweetheart." she continued in just as patronizing a tone as Frost himself!
Frost's eyes flicked across to her. "Can the games. I know you're the Neo-Freedom Fighters." he spat. "Where's Wraith the Echidna?"
Aaron, stood at the back of the crowd, brought his hand to his mouth, but Agis just laughed, setting a ripple of laughter running through the gathered crowd as well. "The Neo-Freedom Fighters? Darling, you're confused! We're much more dangerous! Now why don't you turn your little spiked butt around and high-tail it away before we ask you kindly to leave?"
Frost's eyes narrowed. "And what if I didn't?" he retorted. "What then? You wouldn't kill me...you Freedom Fighter cowards don't work like that." His face suddenly dipped into an evil leer. "Your biggest weakness." he murmured quietly.
Agis kept her sarcastic smile intact, but inside she was angry. He was calling their bluff! Wraith had always told them never to reveal their true identity if the base was breached, but wherever this hedgehog got his info from, he seemed pretty sure of himself!
Aaron, meanwhile, had become destracted. It had suddenly dawned on him what the hedgehog had said his name was...Frost...he knew that from somewhere! Where?
He ran over to the opperations desk again, obscured from Frost's view by the crowd, and started looking through more of the files on the desk. Wraith had said that the files should be hidden away in a secret place should the base ever be breached, but in this case it seemed pointless. The attacker was one solitery hedgehog...what could he do against almost two hundred gang members?
Agis was thinking the exact same thing. "Well, if you want to expediate your own funeral, then who are we to argue?" she murmured, shaking her head slowly. "I'm just sorry you didn't see sence while you had the chance!" It was true that it wasn't Neo-Freedom Fighter policy to kill, but this small hedgehog could easily be restrained, even knocked out if nessecery, and imprisoned for Wraith to deal with when he got back. Seriously, this hedgehog must have been grade A stupid to try something like this alone! Still, it wasn't Agis' place to question...many out on the streets were that dumb after all. "Grab him!" she shouted, stepping forward herself to attack...
============================================================
Ari rolled onto the wood of the boathouse, gritting her teeth against the pain. Thank goodness she had managed to grab a hold with her good hand, not her broken one!
She looked up at the weasel who had saved her life as he squared off himself against Morgaine. She wondered who he was, but there would be time for that later...right now she could use all the allies she could get, and if this guy wanted to help her no questions asked, who was she to argue?
She took a deep breath and stood again, ready to back the newcomer up as best she could. She was tired and in pain, but she had to continue, she couldn't give up now!
One of the main problems, though, was that she seemed to have lost her weapons. Her knife was nowhere to be seen...she had a sneaking suspision that it had fallen into the water below, but she wasn't sure...and she had dropped Lucent's chain as well, being unable to hold it with her broken wrist while her other hand held the wood that had suspended her above the water. She was sure the chain hadn't dropped, although right now she didn't know where it was.
The lack of weapons wasn't too much of a problem...her Akkido training would assist her, but still, in a battle against one so powerful as Morgaine, she would have prefared something a little more, as backup.
Then she remembered...Lucent's Chaos Emerald! She still had it! Could she possibly make use of it as a weapon somehow?
(OOC: Ben, in the warehouse, feel free to make up new NPC characters if you like...pretty much anything goes, so long as they uphold the Neo-Freedom Fighter ideals.^^)
OOC: Just a shortie here.
============================================================
IC:
As Jet prepared to face Morgaine, he took his gloves off again to expose his claws.
Instead of putting them back in his coat pocket however he tossed them to Arista.
"Put them on!" he said. "They'll keep the wounds on your hands clean."
Ari was a bit surprised. He didn't even know her name and yet he was willing to help her. She was able to get one on her bad hand easy enough, but had to use her teeth to pull the other one on.
"Well weasel boy." Morgaine spoke as she strided towards the two clutching her whip. "I hope you're ready for the thrashing of your life!" She sniggered.
============================================================
OOC: Ok. I'm gonna wait for everyone else to post now. =). I guess Jet's just very nice to folks if he has no reason not to. Basically, if Jet can help them, he will. I thought I'd get a bit more into his personality so it's easier for others who try to use him. I don't know.... X( I have ideas, but I can't really use them until I know what everyone else is doing. You guys still in? It's just been awhile is all. 0.o Are we waiting for Seleth?
... Is it just me? Or is this RP quiet as of late?
OOC: Ha! Quiet of late? Not as much as usual. ^_~
trust me, this RP and some of the other bigger ones just don't run so fast because the majority of us are busy with RL stuff. I think at one point, there was like a two month, if not bigger gap between posts.
As it is, there's normally a surge of activity, then a long period of quiteness before activity rises again. I wouldn't worry about it so much. This RP won't die just yet.
OOC: Eh. Just wondering is all. =P
OOC: I'm going to be writing the next post on the Warehouse and the Beach house. So nobody touches those scenes, if that's okay.
Brent, you pmed me about an idea which you were going to fulfill but I'll resume it if that's okay . You're too slow! XD
I really was amped on writing this scene on Tuesday or sometime round then but have had a rapidly worse-turning flue.
Must go home. My head hurts. bye
OOC: sorry bout my absense. i was going to write an IC like, a week ago but never got round to it. i dunno, just havent had much motivation. i got this REALLY good idea for my next post last night though so ill see if i can get one up today (i also have homework ive been neglecting man why do we get homework over the long holidays :"> )
as for the boathouse scene, i was going to have sword go up and make an appearence but my latest idea actually steers things away from there, so no need to worry bout me ben ^^;. i was going to tell you earlier but... wait... i only had the idea last night
been learning how to do the yard today. first time ive actually mowed the lawn, whipper snippered the edges etc. gives ya hands and arms more of a workout than i would have thought o well, i need the exercise . anywayz i gtg. BARBEQUE!!! YAY!!!
OOC: It sounds like you aussies live a similiar lifestyle to the South Africans . Well, that's the last time I had a BBQ anyway. 'cept they're diet is like, 90% meat and 10% veg. Disgusting! Tell me you lot aren't the same!!?!
Anyway, no, DO tell me the idea . I'm feeling better today so I'll be going to the gym first anyway while I can *shot*
OOC: similar lifestyle to south africans?? how so? 90% meat 10% veg eh? how you know that? o well... sounds good to me yosh i is teh carnivor ^^.
"Anyway, no, DO tell me the idea" does that mean you WANT me to tell you? i guess i can send a note now. its 12:28 at night here and im bout to go to bed so i guess ill be posting tomorrow. man i didnt get any hw done today either. ended up watching lord of the rings: return of the king and that took me to about 11:20pm... i started about 8:00 (i got the extended version, good stuff) and then i watched the new bleach (anime) ep as well ^^.
gym AGAIN? GAH!! and here i am having my version of a full work out by mowing the lawn . remind me never to arm wrestle you k?
anywayz im gonna note you my idea. dont read if you dont want spoilers.
OOC: ZOMG Bleach. Best anime ever! I've only seen up to Ep 60 so far, since I'm giving myself a break to allow there to be even more Bleach eps to eventually watch when I see them again.
Glad to see one of us is feeling better, Ben, I've still got a horrible cold. I take back my earlier statement about liking snow and the cold, it sucks (even though it isn't actually snowing now, but w/e :P)
...I like the cold, and snow. If you're too cold, you can wrap up, if you're too hot you can't do anything about it o.O
On another note...I have a problem. I've recently come up with a killer of a character idea that I want to try out in an RP, but there aren't many RPs running that it'd fit into and no new ones starting at the moment.
I wonder if I might be able to ask you guys (and gals) something. I know I already have 3 characters and a controllable NPC in this RP, and I really don't want to take over or anything, but would it be okay with all of you if, should the oppertunity present itself as the RP progresses, I might try inro-ing someone else into the mix too?
As I say, I don't want to inadvertantly take over, and if this would be too much, feel free to throw me out the nearest window...I'll understand. I just really wanna try this idea, especially with great feedback from fantastic RPers, which this RP is full of^^
Let me know what you all think, but don't be afraid to say if you don't want me to.)
OOC: It sounds cool to me! It'll add more interest I think. ^_^
OOC: I think the number of characters a person has shouldn't really matter, as long as you're able to control them well enough and they don't eventually become ridiculous numbers, so 4 and an NPC isn't really much.
I don't see how intro-ing another character might inadvertantly take over, unless the idea around the character might contribute to this?
OOC: Howdy everyone.
While waiting for brent to post, i realised that i could at least make a post concerning the Nocturne base with Wraith and Myst.
The thing is, that i just seem to have trouble writing for just one side of the RP at a time. I am an organisational freak, so i tend to feel better about writing an RP post when i am updating ALL of my covered aspects of the RP at once. I'm sorry if this displeases anyone, especially you Wraith. Please bear with me.
Ah yes, Wraith on the issue of introducing another character.
Well, to be honest i guess that my main concerns with introducing another character are as follows:
-Will the character 'fit in' amongst the rest?
-Will the new character affect the storyline in a way that is not universally agreed upon, or will the character simply seem 'out of place' in this setting?
-Will introducing a new character mean that you will begin focussing on this character, and that your other ones will simply drift away or have little spotlight?
My primary of those concerns is probably the last one. I know from RP-ing with you here that you are indeed quite an adept roleplayer, and seemingly an expert at maintaining a myriad of characters with unique personalities. Although i just don't want characters such as David to fall into the shadows, so to speak. David is really such an interesting addition to the roleplay, and has proven to be right at home amongst the other characters, although i am still curious as to what you have planned for his future, or even if you dont have anything planned and simply want to have something happen when the oppurtunity arises. in the latter case, this would mean that you would definitely have to circulate quite a bit of attention to David at certain points in the RP, but you would also have to make sure he doesnt get completely left behind at times.
Additionally, managing another character means that you will have more to keep up on in the RP, and thus you would have to write longer, or more frequent posts in order to keep up. Although i don't doubt one bit that you are capable of doing said task, but i just dont want you to grow to see posting as a chore.
I guess most of the above mentioned isn't such a big deal seeing as i know just what calibur a roleplayer you are, and i am very confident in your abilities, as well as everyone elses in this roleplay. I'm hoping most of my queries will be satiated once you can reveal a little information about this character perchance?
Overall, to make a long story short, could you kindly give us a glimpse of this character in the form of a BIO or something, and then we'll see what everyone thinks
Honestly, i ramble too much somtimes.
P.S: By the by, you nailed my thoughts on cold weather exactly! if it's cold, rug up. If it's hot, moap around in a sweaty state of lethargy.
OOC: Oh, one more note. I'm not sure how many people are aware of this, but in roughly 30 days from now, the Mobius Forum will be moving to a different server, Eliteboard. Some of you might have already been on there (such as during the hack of Ez), so yeah, just a note to say that some you might have to re-register on Eliteboard.
The reasons why we are moving include that the subscription or whatever to Ezboard has almost ended, and we're taking the opportunity then to move to Eliteboard. It's faster, (arguably) better with greater customization and ability, plus the far most important thing, imo, is that it's safer. I'm sure none of us want to experience the EzHack again, eh? This RP was luckily spared (but left that strange page thing. >_>) but loads of other RPs and topics weren't.
I'm not entirely sure what will happen to this RP, whether it be transferred to Elite or we'll have to start a new RP continuing of from where we are at the moment, but I hope the rest of you will join us over at Eliteboard, and this is just a heads up for those who weren't aware.
OOC:
Ah, thanks for the heads up there Pach!
In terms of moving the RP, i could simply copy the lot and paste it in one humongous post if i have to, simply so that we can keep the past events as reference, although keep in mind i have no idea how well that will work, or even if it will work at all.
You can bet i'll be making the move when it happens. There is no way i'm just leaving this 'ere RP behind! I too hope everone can join us.
(OOC: Yeah I'm there, even if I hate Elite's guts...I'm not leaving this one behind! lol put the whole RP in one post??? And how many decades would it take to upload it???
And with regard to characters...I hear what you're saying Eclipse, and I agree. If the quality of my RPing was to deminish from another character then it would be a bad idea. As to wether it would or not, I honestly don't know, since I've never controlled that many characters before. That being said, I've never controlled as many as I have now either, and I'm pretty proud of how I'm keeping them all going^^
I appreciate your praise "> While I think you give me somewhat too much credit, it's nice to know your efforts are appreciated, thank you^^
And with regard to planning...David, to be honest, I don't have any plans for at the moment. I'm just keeping him in character and seeing how he reacts. It's funny you should pick him out particularly...you may recall that he was an experimantal character anyway, and truth be told there have been a few times when I figured he wasn't contibuting much and considered dropping him. I have since found a little more potential for him, but still not any real plans...being a robot acting on ordters from others, it's a little hard to give him motivation other than following whoever he's helping.
And other characters: I guess now is the time for revelations...at some point in the not too distant future, Ari is going to die, and possibly Max too. With Ari I'm waiting until Wraith gets there, as I want him there when it happens. I was going to let Wraith, Myst, Max, Tails and David meet up, then OOC or message everyone to let Wraith get through. Max I'm still deciding about, but I did have this one idea about him going checking the Neo-Freedom Fighter's base, and Frost is still there...*voice trails off*
And the new character...again, I was hoping to supprise people, however it is a good point about the details, Eclipse, so here's a bio for her.
Name: Usually Ianthe (I-an-thay), but can change (see Background for details)
Age: Usually 19
Gender: Almost always female
Species: Mobian Squirrel
Appearence: Brownish red fur, with a big bushy tail behind her. Tall and thin for a Mobian, and exquisitely shaped. A delecate face with large, emerald green eyes and small, pointed nose. Appears cute and harmless. Wears a pair of brown boots that reach to her knees, and a long brown cape on her back, tied around her neck with a gold clasp.
Weapon (if any): An expert at using anything around her, but usually carries a long metal pole, very light, that she uses like a staff.
Abilities: Solstice (see background) is a karate expert, and all three are very fast, with lightning reflexes and impressive running speed! Also, Ianthe's logical, level-headed brain is fast and versitile, able to think her way out of most situations.
Hobbies: Survival, now that she is alone. She has no time for anything else.
Quirks: Can be immobilised temoprarely if her personallity shifts (see background), much longer if she becomes Fiona or another shy character! Also lacks physical strength, and her thin build makes for injury easily.
Background: Ianthe was origionally living with a happy family in Station Square, but at a young age was diagnosed with Multiple Personallity Disorder. Her parents cared for her as best they could, but both of them were killed when the ARK collapsed, leaving Ianthe out on her own! Her quick-thinking, level headed mind helped her to survive, along with some other help from Solstice, and she has lived on the streets ever since, fending for herself and scavenging whatever food she can wherever she can find it.
Her Multiple Personallity Disorder is stronger than ever though, as she has no steadying influence to control it. She shifts between three main personallities regularly, although has been known to manifest any number of others at times! She can shift without warning or trigger, making it as much a supprise to her as to anyone around her! Her three main personallities include:
Ianthe Irrin: Her birth personallity, Ianthe is aware of her condition and has accepted it with a logical mind. Quick thinking and intelligent, she is very resourceful and can usually use her brain to get out of situations. When that doesn't work, she has become skilled in her staff.
Fiona Blackwater: A girl far younger than Ianthe, perhaps 10 ir 11, Fiona is very shy and reserved, and often very frightened. At the slightest danger she will run and hide, and doesn't trust anyone! Jumpy and nervous all the time, she can rarely think straight.
Solstice Equinox: A dark, evil personallity, Solstice is a cold, mercyless killer, with a tendancy to turn on and attack anyone, even close friends! She rarely speaks, but her visious, bloodthirsty actions speak for her. She has mastered Karate (nobody knows how...Ianthe never took classes or anything) and despite lacking physical strength, her moves coupled with her speed make her a formidable and deadly opponant!
Motif if this RP (if needed): At the moment, survival, although that is simply because she hasn't found anything better to fight for yet.
OOC:
Wowzers! Wraith, when you said that you had a killer character idea, i knew it'd be something exciting, but man oh man i did not expect what you showed us at all!
First of all, let me tell you that the character idea is terrific, the idea of a split personality character works very well in this chaotic roleplay setting of ours. She definitely fits in.
Unfortunately, as good an idea as this character may be, i have a few gripes that i hope don't prove to be too serious:
She is a very interesting character, but considering 'Solstice' and her mastery of karate, i hope this marks the end of martial arts based characters in this RP because it might become a bit repetitive if we introduce more, already having Arista who knows hand-to-hand combat, Azieral who is a ninja, Sword who has a discplinary traditional fighting style and Trey who has mastered a martial fighting style that focuses on kicks. But in the long run, i guess that this could work greatly seeing as although each of the aforementioned characters have a martial fighting style, they are all varied in some way, which could be expected from a setting like a post-apocalyptic station square. So with this point i am unsure, i'd like to know what others think.
Also, the split personalities will mean that you will obviously need to write posts that flow with the sudden changes in personality, in effect like controlling 3 characters in one. I just hope that this doesnt seem too difficult for you and that you will be able to write posts including this character and not feel as though it is a chore to write another one! Also, being a character with split personalities means that this character will be more unpredictable to control in terms of when another player features them in a post, whether it be a minor role or posting in your abscense. This could mean that no-one will be capable of posting with this character because we do not know compeltely how the character is 'driven'. Although after observing Ianthe in action a few times in your posts, i guess we could all get used to her and b able to control her eventually.
Most of all, i once again have to stress that i hope you are able to manage this character along with your others. This character in particular will require a great deal of focus i'm sure due to the split personalities feature, and as much as i'd love to see this character getting involved, i'd hate to see characters like your wonderful experimental David.
Now i know that i probably sound like i'm nagging and nitpicking about things that aren't really that big a deal, but like i said, my main concern is maintaining interest in the RP by making sure none of the players, in this case you, ever feel that posting has become a chore.
Now, i feel that i've said enough on the matter. I'd love to hear everyone else's opinions, and feedback. Moreso i'd love to be proven wrong about all of my queries and witness this character become a part of 'the family' XD
Also, i would like to take this opportunity to say that this is a fantastic group of roleplayers we have here. Everyone here has such beautiful writing skills, such co-operative attitudes, and above all some of the most vivid imaginations i've ever had the pleasure of reading from. Whether it be be descriptions for a fight scene, interesting personalities created for simple characters like minor NPC's, or even just dialogue, everyone here does so well in all of these fields. It is an absoloute pleasure to be partaking in this roleplay and i look forward to witnessing more shocking developments... and creating my own. 😛
I also think give a round of applause to newcomer Jet K who i think has really surprised us all!
well done everyone
And now... i wait for Brent. :">
OOC: Eclipse has said most of the things that I think is important. However, a character like this is definitely interesting and I should imagine it might be quite difficult to roleplay efficiently, but given your already strengths, I don't consider it much of a problem. And besides, it better to experiment and try new things so as to improve your own level. I think Ianthe will be able to do this, a challenge in which you'll be able to improve.
And yeah, perhaps that is a solid note about the martial arts based characters, and, quite shamedly, two of them do belong to me. But yes, at least they are varied so as to not create repetition.
As for Eclipse's earlier suggestion of posting the whole RP in the first post, XD! Not only what Wraith said about loading times is true, but also the time it would take to scroll down to the read the new replies would take ages (given that there's 20 replies in a page).
Here's hoping that the mods in charge either move the whole RP over to Elite (but I'm not sure how effectively that'll work, given this strange error with the pages) or at the least, archive this. I'm not sure, I asked them this earlier and they said they hadn't decided, so we'll have to wait and see.
(OOC again: Some good points, yeah...some that I hadn't thought of.
Martial arts...I hear you, trying to stop the characters becoming too "samey" and all, but, truth be told, what other ways of fighting is there? As mentioned by Sachio and Lucent, magic, etc is very rare in this world, and with the lack of other fighting styles, surely it's only more reallistic that people would practice something like that to defend themselves? I'd be open to suggestions as to what her fighting style could be other than Karate, but I'm afraid I can't really think of anything else that would be feisable.
Others controlling her...a very good point, and something I didn't think of in the slightest. It's true that after some time reading my posts others may be able to get her three different personallities, but I can understand how difficult it would be, and I wouldn't want to put everyone through a rediculously tough time just on a whim of mine. What would be other people's views on it...would they be willing to try it...do they think they'd be able...?
As far as controlling her myself goes, yes, I feel confident I'd be able to pull it off, and it is something I'd love to try as well. I'm in to what I call "Alternative" RPing ie. thinking up and trying out something that's never been done before. Granted I'm speaking from a viewpoint without experience of the character, but I feel I could pull it off if I were to try.
Don't worry at all about me getting bored of this or anything...it'd take a whole lot to make that happen, including things like hell freezing over, so no worries there One thing I would be worried about is if other RPers started getting bored when they had to try and control the character, and if that became the case, then this would be a bad idea. Having said that, I agree wholeheartedly with what you said about everyone here Eclipse...we all rawk majorly and are making this RP absolutely fantastic!
But as stated earlier: either way I'm good. If we decide to try the character and see if she works, brilliant...if we decide it's too risky and don't, no probs. Just let me know what to do and I'll do it lol^^
EDIT: Something else that's just occured to me though...if we were to include her and others controlled her, we could have an easy "get out clause" for any mistakes by claiming another personallity took control of her temporarely^^ I know it's cheating a little, but it would be plausable in the story and would allow for some leeway. While she has 3 main personallities, there's no limit to how many others she could have, and if in doubt, the other RPer could simply shift her personallity at the beginning of the post to something different, and make it up as they went along lol)
OOC: Wow! That's an awesome character man! I can't wait to see her in action! =D I think I've got an IC today too.

IC:
BOAT HOUSE:
Jet and Arista were about to face off against Morgaine!
"Are you going to be alright?" Jet asked the fox.
"I can fend for myself just fine." Ari stated. Then she remembered she had Lucents chaos Emerald. "I wonder if I can use this somehow?" She wondered as she took it out to examine it.
Suddenly Jet's small headache felt like he was being hit on the head with a 20 pound sledge! It came on so suddenly he almost fell backwards.
Morgaine was watching and quite amused at the weasels pain.
"Aww! Did the poor wittle weasel hurt his head?" She spoke as she drew back her whip. "Don't worry! You won't feel a thing when I'm done with you!"
Something strange was wrong with Jet. He knew it too, but... his headache. It was fading again! It felt like something clicked into place in his brain as a strange phrase came to mind. He somehow remembered learning it too!
"Alamaris Perithus? What does that mean?" he thought as he looked up and saw Morgaine about to lash him!
He meant to block the whip but when he raised his hand a purple and teal light formed and an energy blast shot from it throwing him backwards and knocking Morgaine back even further!
Ari was stunned. Jet however was horrified! "What was THAT?!" He said finally as he saw it went clear through the wall of the boathouse! "I've never seen an attack like that!" Ari stated.
Morgaine was just as stunned, but was quick to get up again. She was angrier than ever too.

OOC: Jet basically remembers bits and pieces of his lost past when he's exposed to Chaos emeralds. I plan to reveal more of that as the story gets going. This time he remembered a phrase he can use to control part his power better. I talked to Bent and she said to go ahead. I'm leaving it at that though. ^_^ Let the experts do thr fight scenes. =P
OOC: Wow, so much OOC to answer to, so little energy. At still very sick, but I don't want to put off at least a scene update any longer.
Well, just a quick thanks to Pach for letting us know about the shift of location mofo will be undergoing- or something. I was indeed unaware of this.
Copy and past a whole RP? That does sound tedious. Lol. Isn't there a quicker way?
That does sound like an interesting character Wraith ^^. I'm glad you didn't put the split-personality disorder down as 'Schizophrenia', which is a common assumption people make. It's worth giving a shot. I wish I could offer an insightful opinion (I must confess that being ill is suppressing that), but I guess I'd just adhere to James' and Pach's advice, or at least be aware of pros and cons and challenges and what-not.
Solstice Equinox? Sounds like that character Athena briefly encountered in that one RP I joined for like 1 post and never came back. Oops XD
Oh yeah, I have to say you played Frost well. I kinda laughed at the clash of 'badass' personalities there XD
IC:
Warehouse
Frost looked up at the considerably taller Agis who appeared to be stepping in to attack- before sidestepping and dealing a kick behind her back.
As quick as a flash however, she managed to swat his punch out of the way with a downwards fisted block-
"Ha ha! Too slow spiney!"
She came in herself with a series of rapid punches.
Frost simply smirked despite his failed punch, and saw the series of punches which he was able to aptly counter them away with his own iron-akin fists.
Before finding himself trapped against the wall as they opponents moved backwards, he took the opportunity to back flip- before getting his shoes to make contact with the wooden wall- such that he could kick off and spontaneously direct a kick towards Agis' face.
"Gah..." the Lynx suppressed a cry as she found herself brutally knocked backwards- a little helpless in her rapid 'backwards-flying' motion- until she hit a group of a crates- which chalked and splintered slightly on impact.
"Ouch!" the hedgehog joked sarcastically, followed by a snigger.
Frost landed on the floor again, squinting an eye and cringing jokingly as he looked at the fallen masses of crates- seemingly suffocating the wounded Agis in front of him.
"Pft! Commando chicks..." Frost muttered "always a disappointment."
"Hey you!" growled a tall Falcon named Guy, with red bandana around his head, earning the attention of Frost. He jested with his fingers to the group behind him to rally up "treating a lady like that ain't gonna earn you any favours..."
"Ha... well she was-!"
Before Frost could finish, however, he gasped when he found a hand latch onto his leg and unexpectedly hoist him up into the air.
Higher and higher he found himself- dangling on one leg.
"Met up with our Chimpanzee, Rob?" The Falcon smirked.
Frost managed to look upwards, and scowled as he saw that a white vested ape-type creature had been the one who dragged him to a ridiculously high scale of the warehouse- and SO quickly.
"Guess he's left you 'hanging around' huh?"
Frost rolled his eyes, despite swinging back and forth.
In an instant, however, he managed to thrust enough force in a forwards swing, so that his forehead made contact with Rob's.
*BANG*
With that skull bash dealt, Rob began falling towards the ground uncontrollably, whereas Frost grabbed onto a beam and swung himself towards one of the platforms- hiding in the darkness.
"Hey! Come back here!" Guy shouted "we do have you surrounded you kno-"
*FLASH* *BANG!*
"Argh...!" Guy screamed as he found a force like the back kick of a horse send him flying backwards and falling against a stack of canisters.
The other pack of fighters were taken aback as they saw a series of light-blue and red lights momentarily enmesh the spined physique who had dealt that kick- which turned out to be Frost.
Hes got a Chaos Emerald remarked a bulldog.
Make that TWO Chaos Emeralds! Frost laughed with a disturbing pitch, before scarcely bringing a red Chaos Emerald down within the palm of his hand. This motion in turn seemed to lure a red spear of energy as if from nowhere which smashed against the bulldogs back. Once the red flash had consumed him, causing him to howl with pain- the light all evaporated which left behind, the dead dog against the cold wooden floor.
Sam! screamed a female cat, who bent down to check his pulse- but hung her head low as if it were obvious to her within a split second what the dogs fate was.
The rest of the group stood there in disbelief at the ruthless killing, before all snapping their gazes at Frost heatedly. A good deal of them cocked their guns, before pointing towards his chest.
It has to be said your fighting tactics really do drip with tedium. The hedgehog sneered get those damn guns out of my face and give me some answers! he yelled impatiently.
No need to shout sweety were all ears! Agis smirked; bringing her cat eyes up close to Frosts which caught him by an uncanny surprise.
She in turn, reared her head back, and skull bashed his which caused the hedgehog to topple over and lose grip of his Chaos Emeralds.
Agis smirked as she observed the one red emerald and the one light blue emerald roll towards her feet- sparkling and gleaming as they caught the warehouses light. She momentarily cast her gaze at the dazed Frost- who groaned as he picked himself up, with a heavy hand to his forehead.
T-t-two Chaos Emeralds! Aaraon stammered out loud, peering from the railing of a balcony. He couldnt believe it!
He looked at the files he had scooped up from the archives and nervously flicked through them, constantly looking at the momentary stillness between Frost and Agis.
He focused more of his attention on Frost, making constant cross-references as he read up the descriptions within the files in his hands.
He finally came across a relevant page, informative with black and white print and snapshot of a somewhat angry looking profile of a hedgehog in the top right hand corner of the page.
G.U.N files
Frost, codenamed: Specimen 156. Cloned hedgehog of the Ultimate Lifeform, Project Shadow was the first of his kind. Directed to further state-of-art genetic engineering and enhancements, it was anticipated the subject would be rendered powerful enough to replace conventional and outmoded arms and men.
Noted to have defeated adversaries such as stolen Prototype G.U.N mechanical models BF90, BF102, J67, J76, in one sitting, 30 platoons of Dr. Eggmans robots, and a legion of G.U.Ns notorious enemy army to date, the MRA Armada single-handedly (with reported help from Wing Commander Seipher the Kitsune), the subject earned an aspiring name.
Unconfirmed reports that the subjects rebellious and increasingly disobedient behavior and personality should be noted and guarded carefully until further reports
Aaron flicked the page to read up on further information but found there was none.
Hey, this must be an old entry he said, scratching his head Im sure this guys defeated a hell of a lot more since those bozos
Those are pretty stones you got there! Agis smiled, picking up the two Chaos Emeralds- one in each hand as she flicked her eyes from either not great to see them in buttered-fingers though. She said remarking on Frosts carelessness of dropping them.
You like them huh? Frost stifled his sinister laughter as he picked himself up off the floor and dusted his rather dark fur I think theyd look prettier smashed against your head!
At that threat, a swarm of guns being loaded was heard throughout the Warehouse; the barrels all redirected at Frost.
Dont get cocky boy! Are you blind to your surroundings?! Agis snapped its not like you have your trumps either. She said, indicating to the Emeralds.
I got by for a long time without the trumps catgirl! Frost spat as he threw a pointed finger at her threateningly I was designed to be a one-armied man- and now Ill show you how that works
At that moment, a cascade of bullets suddenly came soaring in Frosts direction- so dense that it blinded Agis sight of the hedgehog that was standing on the spot.
The series of shots and bangs was deafening, as well as the pulsating white lights which made even the vastness of warehouse seem eerie.
Agis squinted her eyes, a bead of sweat running down her forehead as she tried to make out what was ahead of her but more importantly- waiting for the smoke to dissipate.
HAD that creep been struck?!
She cried out as she suddenly heard a lot of kicks and punches from behind her- the sounds of bones cracking and necks being snapped- as well as the tearing of skin and sheering of spin dashing heard.
She stepped back, quite startled and disturbed as she heard constant cries of pain and blood-curdling screams- but for the scream she wanted to hear.
In the time she swatted her head from side to side, her head buzzing with the frustration of what move to undergo next- she found herself face to face with an extremely, angry-faced, cerulean hedgehog who loosened and tightened his fists as he began to approach her.
He half-heartedly turned his head over his shoulder, despite maintaining Agis stare, as he was more-or-less trying to direct her to the mass of fallen bodies behind him and thus, the threat he really was.
Now if you wouldnt mind he began, but decided to let his eyes take care of the rest.
As his sapphire eyes ignited during a split-second period, a couple of ice rays suddenly emanated and shot each wrist of hers precisely and with a shocking smack.
As a blockade of an entrapping ice cuff formed around Agis wrists, she yelped at the intense sting and bitterness of confinement.
Her fingers immediately felt numb, which caused her to drop the Emeralds to the floor with a clang.
Frost retrieved them with a single snatch, before looking back up at her.
Surprised? he leered now why dont you be a good kitty and get back to my former questions before I skin you?!
__________
OOC2: Going to add to the boathouse scene laterz ^^;
OOC: I dont think well necessarily have to copy and paste it onto a new thread. I think, after speaking with the moderators, that they have plans to archive everything theyve got, whether that means itll be archived once transported to Elite, or archived on Ez, Im not sure. All of the sub forums other then the EVC will be locked. Still, it might be a good idea to copy down the whole RP and save it in Notepad or something like that anyway, as Im pretty sure the RP will be archived on Ezboard, and in case of any more future hacks better to be on the safe side.
IC:
Warrick had been sitting atop the roof of the adjacent building to the warehouse for a few minutes now, he had taken to ascending the building in order for a better view and vantage, as well as strategic defence point, in order to see the confrontation that was taking place almost next to him.
The site before him was shocking. He had thought he would have gotten used to it by now, but that seemed wrong. In a way, he was almost relieved, to find that he hadnt become so numb and unfeeling. But perhaps it would have been better had he done so, he wouldnt be weak to emotion.
Commander Warrick, are you still there, sir? came the slightly garbled voice from the transmitter Warrick held within his right palm. A second later, Warrick brought the device back up to his mouth and spoke into it.
Im here, private. Relay this to all available units, that Target Frost, as well as an unidentified gang are at Co-ordinates D274893, and to send any and or available armed personnel to this location right away. This is deadly serious, I dont want Frost getting away this time. Warrick concluded his sentence, and turned away from the edge of the building and back towards his motorcycle. In order to have ascended the building so quickly, he had drove it all the way up the fire escape stairs, and needless to say the bumpy ride did little to improve the wonders of his wounds.
Roger that sir. The alert has been sent and back up is coming on its way. Theyll be there in ETA-
VROOM. The sound of the motorcycle engines started.
sir? May I ask what you are doing?
The gang that Frosts massacring wont last long, and I dont think theyll last even long enough for you to arrive. Meaning; someones got to keep him busy long enough until you get here. Warrick explained.
But sir, against Frost?!
Frost was the mistake of G.U.N, us who seek to be the protectors of this world. Its ironic, in a way, that we who claim to be for the benefit of this world created the most dangerous thing alive. Its therefore falls down to our responsibility, to ensure that this madman is stopped now. Warrick exclaimed, and another noticeable roar of the engine could be heard. By the way, if you need to know which warehouse it is within that sector, just look for the one with the smoke pouring out of it.
Smoke? Sir, I dont see no smoke-
The transmission was cut dead and the small device placed back into his pockets. The idea he had planning was hardly going to kill Frost, it was doubtful that itd even do enough decent damage. He only hoped that it would help keep him busy long enough for re-enforcements.
Warrick accelerated forwards, and in the burst of speed he had already passed and now sailed over the edge of the building, falling downwards towards the warehouse in front of him, the self-same warehouse which currently saw the developing battle between Frost and the Neo Freedom Fighters. Warrick let go of the handle bars, and reached over his shoulder, pulling out the shotgun.
The motorcycle smashed through the glass that had once created a window upon the upper floor of the warehouse, the suddenness of the crashing sound attracting all of the attention of the onlookers around, and a shadow emerging upon the figures where the motorcycle would land, just in front of Frost himself.
What the hell?! The cerulean hedgehog shouted out, jumping backwards, away from the danger and Agis, and landing with an angered glare. He had returned, and he should have been dead!
The motorcycle was still tumbling, and it was now that Warrick finally jumped off it, towards Agis. Agis was finally able to make his legs move, and darted to the side barely to avoid it, and at last the bike crashed, skidding along the ground in Frosts direction.
Its a shame. Warrick muttered under his breath. It was such a nice bike, too.
Warrick pressed the trigger, and a high powered blast was shot from the mouth of the shotgun towards the ever skidding motorcycle. In one shot, the two had connected, and a giant bang rebounded about the room along with an intense rush of force and heat. The area was coated in a white light. The motorcycle had exploded, inches away from Frost.
Warrick couldnt have been sure about Frost himself, but the Mobians who were behind his back and on his side of the warehouse was relatively unscathed from the blast itself, including Agis. The matter which had taken the most damage and brunt of the explosion itself was the warehouse itself, and the ground caved, forming a crater. One side of the warehouse wall, which Frost was near, tore out backwards and flew out, littering the street behind. A section of the upper floor collapsed and fell down into the rising smoke and fire that was reminders of the recent explosion. The Neo Freedom Fighters base looked a mess. But, for this brief moment of respite it almost seemed worth it.
Warrick landed on the ground, his legs bending in what would have been a relatively comfortable landing position. And yet, the landing itself brought an immense feeling of pain, as the wounds within his body were shoved an incredible amount of pain, and he grunted loudly, his teeth gritted together so as to not cry out in pain.
What in the world?! Agis cried out. Who the heck are you?!
Hes hes backup! another member cried out. Look at his back! Its says G for G.U.N!
Frost Warrick called out, as he tried to force himself to his feet.
OOC: Good idea Pach! I could try to copy and paste into Word. I'm not promising anything, but I was thinking about doing that a few days ago actually. I'll go ahead and do it if there's no objection from anyone, that is.
What does everyone else think?
<<; Oh brother. I'm about to give up on that stupid picture! I just do not seem to be doing something right. Does it not like Photobucker URLs or something? X( Oh well. At least it works on Elite Board.
Well I'm done with ICs for now. I'm gonna wait for a few posts now.
...Still here all, but really short on time atm, so not had chance to catch up yet. Will update later or tomoz if I can.
EDIT: Up to date now, but I'm gonna wait on the other scenes updating if that's ok with all...I'm kinda like James in that regard. If it takes a long while, though, I'll put something in (No worries to anyone if it takes a while, of course^^).
And yeah, Ben, my uncle suffers from schitzophrenia, so I know there's a difference^^ I'll give the character a try then, since nobody seems to be too worried or anything, however I'll try to intro her in a role that we can disgard her if she isn't working out. I have an idea for it...Jet, I may need your help with it, I'll contact you in EZmsg.)
OOC: I'd be happy to help man. Ask away. ^_^
OOC: I'm gonna update Tech here.
============================================================
IC:
Tech was very worried as he flew off to where Amanda would be waiting. "I hope Jet's ok" he thought, scanning the area for anyone who looked suspicious. He then flew over a warehouse and saw a man on top off a nearby building.
"Oh shoot!" He then flew lower so as not to be seen as he went by. "Wonder what that G.U.N. guy was doing? Oh well."
He had been flying for a little bit now and after passing that warehouse he knew he had about 3/4 of the journey left. He just sighed and pressed onwards adjusting his pack so nothing fell out as he flew towards the meeting spot.
============================================================
OOC: This RP is sure getting good. I can't wait til more folks add to it. =D Well. there you go. Not much, but at least Tech is caught up now.
OOC: I think I ought to update the Warehouse scene before Wraith, and definately add to the boathouse scene at some stage.
Firstly I haven't really been on a com AT all for the last 3 days, and just as well cos I am still ill (but still attending Uni cos that's how diligent I am )...
Anyway, I'll go ahead and do just that when I can.
It's Friday!
OOC: Sounds good to me. ^^ I'm no good at fight scenes anyway. XD
By now Tech was far enough away from the warehouse for the sounds of action to be muffled by the distance...there was always SOMETHING exploding or burning somewhere in the city, and the noise of Warrick's bike blowing up was pretty much commonplace at this distance.
Another noise was filling the air though...getting closer by the second! Tech gulped as he recognised the regular thud-thud-thud of helicopter blades, echoing around the area from somewhere close!
He quickly dived, losing altitude and heading for the floor. Helicopters had to be GUN...no gangs had them that he knew of. Either way, if he was seen, he could be in trouble!
Sure enough, just as he landed on the ground, a large copter came roaring around the side of a nearby skyscraper, heading off the way Tech had come at high speed. Maybe it had something to do with that GUN man, he thought as he watched it speed off over the wrecked city.
He wanted to start flying again, but there could be more copters about. It would take much longer to walk the rest of the way, but he felt he didn't have much choice. Maybe if he hadn't heard anything for twenty minutes or so he would chance taking to the air again.
He turned and set off down the back alleys, casting about warily for any movement as he went, but this part of the city seemed as dead as a graveyard. Debris littered the streets, as it did everywhere, and as he walked, he stepped past burnt out cars and piles of rubbish taller than him!
He completely failed to notice the slim, suave figure stepping out from behind one of the trash piles, falling into step behind him...
He jumped suddenly as a thin metal bar slipped around his neck, held on either side by slim, delacate brown fingers. He gasped as the bar dragged him back, pressing him against something behind him, possibly the body of his attacker...!
A voice spoke in his ear, quiet and soft, almost musical, but firm and powerful at the same time. "Don't move, and don't make a sound. If you do, I'll kill you. You understand?"
He nodded quickly, not really sure what else to do.
"Now, tell me, who are you, who are you working for, and how many of you are there here?"
OOC: Whoa! I didn't quite see THAT coming! Great intro man! Ok, so now to update this.
============================================================
IC:
Tech was terrified. He could feel shivers going up and down his spine as the figure demanded,"Answer me!"
"I'm Tech...",he decided to try to be as vague as he could while still answering the intimidating figure. "I help Jet and Amanda. There's only us."
============================================================
OOC: Hope that's good. =)
(OOC: looks fine to me )
IC:
"And where are they?" asked the voice, as Tech felt the figure behind him move...possibly scanning the buildings and alleys around them for movement.
"They...they aren't here." he replied, thinking immeadeately afterwards that saying he was alone could put him in more danger than if he had claimed to be with an army! He bit his lip and waited for a responce.
"What's your purpose here, fool?"
"I'm just pasing through...I would have flown but there were helicopters overhead and..." his voice petered out. So much for not giving too much information!
There was a long pause, then the figure behind him sighed. "I don't know why I believe you, but I do." continued the voice. "I'm going to let you go, but if it should turn out that you've tricked me..." The sentance was left hanging for a moment, then Tech felt the tight grip on his throat loosen as the metal bar was pulled away! He quickly dived forward and turned to face his unseen attacker, jumpy with panic, but he stopped and blinked as he saw the image ahead of him!
She was stiking, to say the least! Tall and thin, and somehow delicate looking, with impressive curves and long, flowing brown hair, straight as a ruler, reaching the small of her back. Her eyes were a glittering, sparkling green, and her small, pointed black nose looked so cute and beutiful set against them. Her long, thick, bushy tail arching up behind her back stapled her as a squrrel, and she wore a long, dark brown cape over her shoulders and down her back, tied around her neck with a gold clasp. Her feet wore knee-length brown boots, tall, but by no means overstated. In her hand she held the long metal pole she had used to pin him...she held it loosely, but he could tell she was still prepared to use it!
She seemed to be looking him up and down as much as he was her! "Where are you going?" she asked, those brilliant green eyes meeting his again...
============================================================
IC:
"I'm off to find one of my friends." he said as he adjusted the backpack he carried.
============================================================
OOC: Boy! She sounds awesome man! =D
Oh yeah! I also got the whole RP, err.. well what we have so far, on CD. So now we have back up in case it's hacked! XD I didn't copy some of the OOCs though. Sorry. I can do those later. I only kept them if they were relevant to the storyline. ^^;
I'll just let someone else update the boathouse now. I'm out of ideas. I've talked long enough for one post.
The strainger paused, staring at him for a moment, as though considering something in her head. "It's dangerous out here." she continued eventually. "Especially for one so unobservant."
Tech gulped slightly, wondering what she had in mind. He was completely unprepared for what she said next though!
"I offer my services as a bodyguard while you're in this area. I'll go with you all the way to the river...after that, you're on your own. What do you say?"
============================================================
IC:
Tech thought for a moment. What could she possably want to be a body guard for? Especially for someone whom she's just met! He was intrigued by the offer. After thinking a bit more he finally decided.
"Well ok." What did he have to lose? Amanda would be waiting only 2 miles away from the river.
============================================================
Risky. Very risky.
But then, what wasn't nowadays?
She hadn't offered it because she cared. Yes, she did...she wasn't completely cold like some of the gangs in the city, but it was possible to care too much, and that was dangerous. The main reason she had offered was to keep her eye on him.
This was her turf, and she had been alone on it for a long time. Nobody else seemed to want it...it wasn't strategically advantagous for a gang, and not profitable for a thief or killer. The whole of the midtown district had pretty much been abandoned, and for a very long time she had been alone here.
For her, it was perfect...it had no less than two old shopping malls that were good for food and supplies, a park area that she had begun to cultivate slightly, and it's deserted nature ment she was in little danger!
Even so, she had had her fair share of run-in's with various nasty people as they passed through, and had learned to keep a watchful eye on any visitors to this part of town. This stranger seemed...cute...somehow, innocent and truthful. It was his manner that made her trust him. Even so, she was still wary, and the offer of protection had been made mainly to make sure that the weasel made good on his word and simply passed through, meaning he wasn't a danger.
She nodded curtly, and immeadeately started walking, passing Tech and carrying on down the street the way he had been headed before they met. She transferred her staff to her left hand, resting it on her shoulder, as she looked round over her right shoulder at the still immobile Tech, who was staring a little perplexed at her.
"You coming?"
"Uh...sure...sorry." Tech jogged up to her and fell into step alongside. "Say...what's your name?"
"Irrin." replied the Squirrel. "Ianthe Irrin."
OOC: It's a quickie. ^_^
============================================================
IC:
"Irrin? That's a really pretty name! My name's Jeremy, but my friends call me Tech cause I'm good with computers and stuff like that." he replied.
"So why are you out here? Don't you have a group to be with?" he asked curiously."There's no one in this part of the city."
============================================================
OOC: Here's a pic of Amanda for anyone who wants to know what she looks like. =P ---~~> www.deviantart.com/view/28052770/
OOC: Hope niether of you two mind me re-introducing this character again for potentially a small part. If you had plans or have any objections, just say so and this post will be gone.
IC: The curved feline remained within the shadows, shivering. She could hear voices, coming from outside the building. At first, she closed her eyes, and tensed her body, holding herself together tightly, a part of her subconscious feeling with dread the possibility that they had returned. The one armed Cheetah from before, no doubt he would have assumed that she was completely feral, had no sense of rationality whatsoever.
That was only half-true.
As her ears pricked up, she was at last able to identify that no, this was not the same group of men that tried to harm her the last time. Instead, the voices were far-removed from that type, one was that of a young boy, the other a more soothing womans voice. Most likely people she didnt know.
The leopard edged out of the darkness from the shadows generated by the old, decaying wooden desk, and closed to the cracked and shattered glass window. As she peered out from it, she could see two figures, the same two she had heard before. Her sensitive ears had managed to correctly identify the types of voices at any rate, and again, she did not know who they were. One of them, the woman, was a squirrel. The young boy, he was a ferret, with large wings?
Whatever, it didnt matter. She was starving, she needed food!
She jumped out from the ground level window and darted forwards with surprising speed towards the two new figures, intent on pillaging the pair and at last find some food!
OOC: We don't mind Pach! We were actually wondering how to stall these two to update the Boathouse! She sounds like a cool character too! ^_^
============================================================
IC: Tech was waiting for Ianthe to reply when he heard something coming from the building they were walking past.
"Do you hear something?" he asked the squirrel.
"Yeah I hear it." She said.
Within moments a leopard lept out of the building and was racing towards them!
