It's now 15 years to the day when STC #1 came out.
So if you remember that issue, YOU BE OLD.
I didn't start collecting until maybe mid 50's or so, whenever the Death Egg saga was kicking off and Super Sonic ripped the Super Metallix a new one, although my collection seems to remain from the early 90's with the awful Marvel superheroes parodies in the special zone. I have no idea where my earlier issues are. o.o
I can still remember reading my very first issue off a friend of mine:- the issue where Robotnik has been captured and Knuckles frees him, leading to a climatic battle against Sonic. It was just so... awesome.
Happy 15 years! Here's to wishing that the mag was still carrying on but bah humbug with reprints and all that jazz.
*waves flags, scatters confett!* ^.^
i didn't start collecting until waay into the re-prints time, but still.. 15 years is a long time ago!
I didn't start collecting till issue 24 or 27. It was the Mystic Cave story where Sonic gets hit by a Flasher and meets Captain Plunder.
I bought it the very week of it's release. I still remember the store I used to go every fortnight to get it...
Damn I'm old.
o.o I think my first one was Girl Trouble... but then I only had it sporadically at that point, and didn't get it all the time untill much further into it.
Also, man that was a long time ago.
I coincidentally started collecting at issue #100. I remember going to the same shop every fortnight to pick up a copy.
Good times indeed.
I'm another person who started with issue one.
And I know I'm old. I'm just trying to be apathetic about the fact at the moment.
I wish i'd held onto the old comics that a freind lent me before i started to collect them myself. there was always this excitement that i felt before reading each issue. ^^;
I had the preview comic that came with a Stingray magazine, it was the only reason I got the magazine...
I think I missed issue 1 though, I started with issue 2, the first story featuring Tails trapped in a metal suit that Robotnik made.
I miss those days.
My uncle had 1-100 and I remember reading them alot when he lived with us. But there all gone now, lost to a fire.
