I seem to remember someone else starting one of these at one point, but I can't seem to find it on the board. Sorry Admins if there is one, plz don't kill me! lol
But yeah, any questions about Fleetway and StC? Ask them here and everyone can help you answer them. Any question at all^^
Speaking of which, I have a major question that I'd like to ask. I only descovered the series about half way through, issue 150+ish, but my brother used to work at our local paper shop and so saw each issue from quite early on. He used to tell me about some of the stories in the earlier issues, and there was one story he mentioned that I want to know more about.
He couldn't remember much about it, but he said it was a crazy story, more for fun than serious. The two main features he remembered were:
1. The Death Egg had a landing pad that was a pyramid in the Sandopolis zone. It would come down on top of the pyramid (Stargate style).
2. The story introduced (and was possibly the only appearance of) Dr. Robotnik's long-lost cousin, a somewhat mentally challenged character named Doctor Dumbhousebrick. Apparently Robotnik convinced him to help with his latest scheme, but at the last moment Dumbhousebrick realised Robotnik was evil and sabotaged the plot, saving the day.
Can anyone shed some light on these events? What issue did the story appear in, and what was the basic plot? Or is my brother just remembering wrong? Any help would be much appreciated

Yes, my thread is currently on page 2 or 3, but I'll ru nwith this seeing as 1) im not an admin just HQ staff so I couldnt stop it if I wanted to, and 2) that thread is alreay full of it's own rubbish.

Hmm, yes, there were sort of lift thingsat the side of the death Egg, they did exist but we never saw them in action. All we know is that despite appearing to be built on a flat construction site early on we late discover it's planted flat bang ontop of the volcano (NOT Sandopolis, the Volcano, although the 2 are linked by a ecret passageway)
There's a nice pic of this at the HQ entitled "The impressive Lava Reef adaption issue 49 I think, see this link:

I have a feeling this was the cartoon series Adventures of Sonic he Hedgehog, not the comic...
Doesn't quite fit in with the whole Kintobar thing...
we met Grimers brother, but he definitely wasn't anything like as big as the plot you described, I'll check but I've a feeling it wasn't Fleetway.
Oops sry Swifty. Didn't mean to steal your thunder or anything with the thread
Thanks for the reply though. Yeah I suppose he could have ment the volcano, although he definitely said Sandopolis. Possibly he was getting mixed up.
Also, never seen the cartoon. You're right that it wouldn't have fitted with Kintobor, but just occasionally Fleetway would pop something in that wasn't in keeping with continuity, goodness knows why. One thing I wouldn't understand though, is that if it was the cartoon my brother wouldn't have known about it, since we have never had a TV. How would he have found out about it if it wasn't at least mentioned in StC I wonder...
Anyway thanks for the input ">
Dont worry, I have a huge ego and anyone is welcome to deflate it a little bit whenever they...
Actually, maybe not...
Maybe someone else could confirm it but I dont recognise the name ,
Yeah, it doesn't fit, but then again the Slimy thing didn't either, what with mentioning Grimer's family.
It's one of the worst filler stories ever, right along with how Amy became pink.
So yes, it could be possible that Fleetway made it a filler at the beginning, but I wouldn't pay it any heed if I were you. Just like Slimy and Amy's pinkness, it sounds like a story to be avoided.
Maybe your friend was having you on?
Possibly, although I just love the name! Dr. Dumbhousebrick. lol it's a classic!
Thanks for helping me clear it up though^^
