I'm aware that there is a green sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but for years I've been bugged by the fact that I recall a green sonic in a certain comic, not sure if it was this or the UK version, seeing as I live in the UK. However I haven't been able to find a single thing about it online, as you can guess it's pretty hard to search for 'green' and 'sonic'.
Anyway, anybody have any idea who it is? And if so, which comic and issue it was? Would be greatly appreciated. I think he had a race with him maybe, or something, it's been a long time.
Well, there is the current Scourge in Archie, but by the sounds of it you are thinking of Cosmic (I think his same was) from StC.
A green hedgehog who showed up to challange Sonic to a race, and was stealing all his thunder, but turned out to be the Evil shapeshifter Metamorpia (again, not sure on names, but she was a highly psychotic black eyed bio-mechanical cat thing working for Robotnik) and was endangering Green Hill zone.
It all ended happily, I think Sonic tricked her into falling for her own trap or something.
"Cosmic" looked like sonic but green and with a moon on his head IIRC, but it's been a while...

Finally, I know, now...to track down that issue.
Of course, the issue in which Sonic made his debut in his Adventure style *I'm talking about archie here* Sonic did transform to a green superform for one panel called Eco Sonic. ^^
