Being an American fan whose survives on scans, maybe I'm not the most knowledgable of StC fans but I'd like to think I know abit about it. On that note after reading an old thread here, I put forth this question so that an interesting topic might grow. I've always loved people's opinions and views on "what ifs", so here we go...How do you think/would you like to see StC takes on games/characters created after the end of the comic? Take on anything from Cream and Shadow to Battle and Heroes. Let's hear those ideas everyone!
I'd like to see how Fleetway would handle Shadow. I've not actually seen his entrance into the games (In SA I think...?) but I've seen him in SH and he looks like a cool character.
Near the end of the series they looked like they were going to start on SA, with Chaos and even Big making an appearence, but sadly it was not to be.
I would love to have seen their addaptation of SH though! I've said in another thread: for all their faults, the one thing Fleetway got absolutely SPOT ON was the game/comic tie-ins, and I bet they could have made something amazing out of the multiple story threads running through SH.
Just my oppinion...
Wraith.
er, the Chaos Arc WAS the SA adaption!
check out STC-O for shadow. I have strong opinions about the new characters, I am not a fan of Shadow at all and I absolutly hate Cream with a vengeance, and the new Blaze the Cat, whats the point?????
check out STC-O for shadow.
Yes, but we're talking about what StC would've done - not people's fan comics.
And could you back up those character bashes you've just made with some actual reasoning, please?

I dunno, his STC-O persona of moody psychotic loyal to Robotnik and not really caring about the damage he's causing probably would've been what showed up in STC proper. Except without a death toll that makes Judge Death give the thumbs-up.
Nigel did want to use Doc Zachary some more, so he'd probably take some of Robotnik's roles in game adaptations.
Then there's Cream and the Advance games... Sonic Advance 3, featuring Mobius being split into seperate worlds and lots of travelling between them, seems perfect for latter-era Lew Stringer to adapt. It'd probably involve the New Zones and Shanazar, with Robotnik/Zachary/Plas causing the new Mobius to dimensionally fragmant and so the Freedom Fighters go off to sort it out; using the New Zones would lead to really weird scenes for the story to work in, since they're pretty diverse. Cream shows up as a Tails-style sidekick for Amy & Techno, w/ Vanilla being captured as part of the evil plot; afterwards, Cream joins the girls.
Sonic Heroes... Ooooo. Definite Nigel story. The last Metallix decides to avenge its fallen brothers, first framing Sonic for crimes to cut him off the Freedom Fighters and get a bounty-hunter team (Rouge & Omega) sent after him; he teams with Tails and the Chaotix to uncover the mystery and destroy the Metallix's prototype war fleet.
How about Sonic Drift Race? In the days of Robotnik's reign, he sets up a kart-racing tournament to tempt Sonic's ego with a prize the Freedom Fighters can't refuse (maybe some prisoners). Sonic, Tails, Johnny, Knuckles and Amy set off on the Grand Prix, going up against citizens, Robotnik himself in an uber-kart and several Badnik racers; and Robotnik's made sure to booby-trap the race to get the Freedom Fighters taken out. But into this comes the wild card in Nack the Weasel, whose entrance ends up making everything go wrong.
lol I like your style Charles...all that sounds cool!
I admit that I haven't seen the SA games, so I can't really comment completely, but I'd have to say I dissagree that that story with Chaos was the entire SA adaptation. Big the cat showed up in it for an entire single pic, where as in the games (so I hear) he plays a major role. Who knows how they were planning to transform the Drakon Prosecuter back into Chaos though, after he was thrown out the window...
But anyway, another question. Did StC ever do a Sonic-R adaptation? I don't remember one, and I suspect it would only really work as a side story, off from the main plot, but I wonder what they'd do with it...
There wasn't a Sonic R adaptation per se, but there was the Knuckles (Mark 3?) Metallix who looked very similar to Metal Knuckles from the game.
Metallix Knuckles turned up first, but honestly it was probably nothing more than a coincidence. There's only so much you can do with a robot Knuckles after all.
Mind you, I doubt I was the only one to recieve a StC advert in my copy of Sonic R...
the only thing related to Sonic R was the Knuckles Metallix, and even then they look very different.
I dunno if that was taken from Sonic R though- the design & concept for a Knuckles Metallix was brought up by Grimer before Sonic R came out.
