A bit over dramatic, but what the heck?
Basically you post what you think are the stories/ game adaptations/ storylines that would have been in if STC was still going. You can go however plan or however detailed you want (I will >_>). STC-O Doesn't count. Not sure why, but it just doesn't.
1) Sonic Vs The Seven.
Yeah, those fusions of Crabmeat, Buzz Bomber, Moto Bug and Chopper created by the B.A.R.F. Would have been over in 2 Sonic's World Strips but still... closure would have been nice.
2) Knuckles Vs Metallix V3.
Yeah its the whole look-a-like thing really. It wouldn't have made sense really unless Robotnik found the Floating Island.
3) Whatever happened to Dr. Zachary?
Yeah he was knocked out by Knuckles and then the Emerald Hill Folk were all like "We like to go home..." Knuckles lost all focus on Zachary completely. And he dissapeared.
4) Future game adaptations.
How would Adventure 2 pan out with Shadow, was he going to be an expirement from Dr. Kintobor? Or maybe even Sonic's evil twin. Robotnik did obtain Sonic's DNA when he made the elderly clone of Sonic. Would they touch the Knuckles / Rouge thing? Especially since they sidestepped Amy's fangirl-ism of Sonic.
How would STC do Heroes? With a new Metal Sonic and the Chaos Data, Shadow clones and Cream the Rabbit. What about the Battle and Advance 3 stories? Would they even touch Shadow the Hedgehog? Sonic Rush probably would have been set in the Special Zone (seeing as it was a whole universe).
5) Eggman, Earth and Humans.
How would STC adress the new Sonic games and the Japanese story overriding Robotnik and Mobius. Admittly the furrys acted pretty much as humans did anyway. Plus if it became a real problem from Sega they could always do a Sonic X and Chaos Control Earth and Mobius together. Also with Robotnik/Eggman scenerio I suppose STC could do a whole Robotnik disappearing act and he returns with his Adventure body proportions and Tails or Amy says he looks like an Egg. And so on.
Anyway. Its your turn.
Edit: presentation posh up.
I think if they ever did a Shadow adaptation, it would have been set on Earth, with good ol'Percy Granite leading the charge against the aliens. He would probably have taken the role of the GUN Commander or w/e.
I would have loved to have seen a big 'Crisis On Infinte Earths' style crossover with all the sega strips that had appeared in the comic. The Streets of Rage characters side by side with Marko and his Magic Football, punching badniks. It would have been somthing great.
I can't help thinking that if Cream turned up, not only would Amy go into motherly overdrive in the same way she used to do for Tails, but we might see Sonic being a little more emotional and over-protective after what happened to the last rabbit he hung around with.
Thoughts?
That would've been cool.
I'd like to have seen the STC versions of Sonic Rush and Riders - parallel universes and Sonic being matched in speed? The writers would've had a blast with that!
Thinking of Blaze is putting me in mind of your comments on whether Amy'd be happy with Sonic having another love interest or not - it might've been worth seeing. 🙂
As far as Sonic's emotional development went: we actually saw him starting to care more vertly about the gang after Johnny died - I just thought that it was a pity that that couldn't be followed up.
Yeah, Kitching said he had plans for Sonic to be trying to keep the rest of the Freedom Fighters out of any danger (i.e., out of any freedom fighting).
Yeah, I remember. I was more than a lurker on the list back then.
I wonder if it'd have been the same had he killed off Johhny earlier for being superfluous, as he'd originally planned.
Am i the only one whos glad it DIDNT get around to all these adaptions? with sega releasing 5million new characters per game, it wouldve been to much for StC to keep up IMO, not only that but most of the new characters are one-dimentional clones (cream, shadow, rouge). I suppose maybe the shadow story and the Heros arc wouldve been good, minus all the superflourous characters. For example Team Rose is pointless, and Team Shadow wouldve been hard to write, it wouldve boiled down to Team sonic VS the new metal IMO (which wouldve been really class, the main 3 havnt actually fought metallix as a group before).
As for SA2, as i said, it wouldve been really good with the whole Kintobor/shadow relationship, but IMO shadow wouldve been killed off as we were led to beleive at the end of SA2, hence, continuity problems wouldve arose if he was brought back (so no team shadow). Just some thoughts on that.
edit: and he always has been and always will be refered to as Robotnik, eggman is such a crap name!
I think that an arc focusing on Knuckles looking deeper into where his people went and how he got suspended in animation would be pretty awesome. I've always prefered StC mythology; like how the Chaos Emeralds were created (the Drakons stealing Emeralds from the Echidnas to store their newly created Chaos Energy), and things like that, and I think that a series of strips explaining how/why Knuckles was put in stasis and where his people went would work really well if done in the same quality.
I was thinking that the story could begin with Knuckles experiencing several minor flashbacks over a period of time concerning the fate of his people and stuff, which would also work well in that Knuckles could become distracted by them, allowing an enemy to defeat him (and perhaps steal the Master Emerald, since that's become an unavoidable trait). From here, there are lots of possible options; Knuckles' flashbacks could become more frequent and more full, he could be driven crazy and unstable and exploited by an enemy, so n and so forth. There's lots of ways in which it could be played with.
Mind you, I don't know where it'd go from there; I'm tired, and my creativity has run dryer than Ghandi's flipflop.
Team Rose's story in Heroes didn't do anything for me, either. But again, Amy's more mature attitude in StC would've made SAd3's Team Jubilee worth writing as far as I'm concerned.
In fact, with Tails able to take care of himself and Amy pretty keen to be on the front line in the last arc, it might be interesting to see someone remind her that she needs to remember that other people need her, and she used to be less gung-ho. 🙂
