in waterstones or something?
I have seen issues sold in forbidden planet or a1 comics. well that's where i buy them
the english sonic the hedgehog comic hasn't been in print for years now, so you wouldn't find it in stores like waterstones.
you may be able to find back issues or secondhand comics in shops such as forbidden planet, but i personally haven't been very lucky.
The only decent chance of finding copies are at car boot sales or our old friend eBay. I've seen UK Sonic comics on eBay quite a lot lately.
wot they stoped making copies?
The only comics being made now are from the U.S. Sonic The Comic stopped in I believe January 2002.
ah, we in the uk dont get anything worth good its all in jap n usa. (unless you have a credit card)
sadly that's life i'm afraid.
but if you live near a comic shop, you can always order in comics from america (and perhaps other countries) and be able to pay with cash.
btw, please don't say 'jap'. it's a racist term that most don't seem to be aware of.
oh, sorry, i didnt know i was being lazy, i did that for short.
i could try that but..........when i ordered romance in the three kingdom th dude in the shop seid it is very expencive.
i'd guessed that, so i thought i'd give you a poke so you don't make the mistake again. ^^
i've the american sonic comic on order in my local comic shop. i pay the same price as americans pay (possibly with a bit of added postage and package)
Places like Forbidden Planet stock the American Sonic comics, and can have them on order for you. There are also a few websites that should be in the links section of this website that may be helpful too.

It's short for Japanese, not Japan--the shortened forms for Japan are JPN or JP. The term "Jap" gained its most notorious prominence during World War II as it basically means the same thing toward Japanese people as the N-word means for Black people. Of course, due to the fact that many people can't tell the difference between someone who is Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc. most Asians were called by that term. The reason most people don't know about it nowadays is pretty much everything that ever used the term is currently banned from airing on television or radio.
Teh british flag has also bin used by rasicts but that doesnt mean i shoudnt .
I think you'll find that it's usually the English flag - the cross of St. George - rather than the British flag.
But there's a difference between something like a flag - which can be adopted for s purpose like that - and a word or phrase which had no other use than a derogatory one, such as the one we're discussing.
But he just used it up there . And i dont think he was being rasict . Unless he realy is evil .
It can offend people, so you avoid using it. That's the point. ;p

But I would think we can call someone who IS Japanese a "Jap", right? Because it's just a shortened down version of where they come from, just like people who call me a "Brit".

Only if you want to be smacked/hated/etc. While most of us are ignorant as to what that term means in part due to censorship, a lot of people from Japan (and the rest of Asia) are very much aware of what the term means--and to them it's not a good term. That's how I learned about it in college when I had to deal with a lot of people from China & Japan in my classes. Will you find some that won't care? Of course, just as not every Black person finds the N-word offensive.
burn the GB flag,
i have a right i live in GB
burn that flag too.
it mean nothing too me.
actually it can be used as a shortened version of Japan, most games have region settings, the 3 main ones are EUR (Europe), USA (America) and JAP (Japan)
Really? I always thought it was JP.
JP or JPN are the shortened versions i usually come across.
I mostly see "JAP" used by fans rather than officially. It's especially common on the sonicanime.net boards when referring to the Japanese Sonic X. Every time I see it I cringe, because I realize the people don't even realize they're saying something that could be considered offensive. I usually don't speak up about it, but I recently did in South Island.
JP and JPN are perfectly acceptable, servicable substitutes, or you could write out the entire word.
perhaps you should inform them before they accidently upset someone?
I would like it if some people please not say things about GB that are bad because i am very serious about people talking down to the English, just ask True Red.
who's been talking down about my country? so far it's been fellow brits saying things, and it's more allowed when it's your own country you're complaining about.
Hmm... suprised my account's still active after all this time...
As has been stated earlier, Sonic the Comic is no loger in print. I have, however, still to find a positive answer to the "are STC scans illegal?" question that keeps cropping up.
so how is it racist, wouldnt it be racist if someone sead it in a bad way.
It's a slur. An easy one to trip over, but it's as offensive as calling someone a nasty word beggining in n. It's not ours to decide what offends other people, just to respect that it does and make sure not to do so. Politeness and curtesy
well if the black people dont like being called that word that hurts them, why do they call each other it? and when a white person calls them it its suddenly being racist?
dont get me wrong, i do agree with craig.
a case of one rule for us, one rule for them? like how black rappers only seem to have black girls dancing in the background, while white singers need to have a black girl or more to be PC?
but that's just me generalising, i'm not sure why a select few use racist words to each other.
wot a weird world......

For the same reason White people can call each other certain terms that a Black person saying it would be called "racist." However, the idea that Black people like the term is one that I find truly hilarious.
If you want new issues you'll need to settle for a fan comic.
