Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, Sega’s free-to-play MMO action-RPG, is celebrating Sonic’s 34th birthday. The Sonic Super Festa 2025 celebration is here for the next couple weeks. Check out what’s in store!
PSO2NGS‘s yearly Sonic celebration is here. The central city of Halpha is decorated with statues of Sonic & friends, and numerous limited time events are happening:
- Daily login bonuses featuring Sonic acrylic stands to decorate your Creative Space with.
- A scratch ticket featuring numerous Sonic-themed items — including outfits, accessories and music. (This is the “AC” scratch ticket, which involves spending real money to scratch, though individual items can also be bought with the in-game currency in player shops.)
- Two Sonic & Shadow-themed limited-time quests, rotating daily. These are semi-competitive quests that have you racing around collecting rings and chaos emeralds, boosting your stats and score, and collaborating fighting some tough bosses.
- A second Sonic scratch filled with more Sonic-themed items. These are older items released in previous years — things like motion changes, floating character accessories, and more music. A great chance to pick up stuff you missed. (This is the “special” scratch ticket, which can be collected for free by playing the limited-time quests. First-time clears net you 10 tickets each!)
- Various rare drop rate boosts, including a big one of +240% on the big day of June 23rd.
Additionally, a special keyword (SONIC_34th_Anniv.) will also net you an additional 34 special scratch tickets when posted in the in-game chat (starting on the 23rd). Further details on all of this and more can be seen on the June 2025 update page.
This event is starting now (June 18th) through (at least?) July 1st. Check it out while you can!
