Sonic Boom, the cartoon, has gained general appeal amongst Sonic fans. Episodes are chopped up into 11 minute episodes and usually one 11 minute episode airs each Saturday per week. There has also never been any continuation from episode to episode. Sure, maybe you’ll see some of the same robots or quick references but that’s it. That changes this weekend.
This Saturday, we’ll get the first of a 4 parter, “Robots from the Sky.”
“Robots from the Sky” (parts 1-4) follows Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Sticks as they pursue hoards of gung ho automatons on home turf and abroad. After Team Sonic bests Eggman and his bots, the champs go on the road. They travel to cloud-based metropolis Roboken for a showdown with an obscure overlord, his charges Mighton and Bolts, and multitudes of hypnotized metallic citizens. Mighton and Bolts finally see the light and help Team Sonic to create Cyborg Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Sticks. Will these mechanized heroes be able to squash the nefarious forces at play?
