Gotta race fast! Fans of the Blue Blur and McLaren Racing are in for a massive treat this week. SEGA and Sonic the Hedgehog are speeding down to Miami, Florida, to help kick off the McLaren Racing Live event.
Whether you’re heading to the Sunshine State or hanging out at home, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action. Here is everything you need to know about the event and the brand-new Sonic Rumble Party crossover.
In-Person Activation: Regatta Harbor, Miami
If you’re in the Miami area between Wednesday, April 29, and Sunday, May 3, you’ll want to make a pit stop at the Regatta Harbor. The interactive Sonic fan activation will be open all weekend, streaming the big race and offering exclusive merch for attendees!
Here is what you can expect at the SEGA space:
- Sonic Speed Trap: Think you’re as fast as Sonic? Step up to the track and channel your inner Blue Blur! Sprint to the finish line, and you’ll receive a custom photo showcasing the supersonic blur you created at top speed.
- Sonic & Tails Meet and Greets: Fans of all ages can meet Sonic and—making his first public debut—Tails! Both mascots will be hanging out at the event all five days for photos and fan interactions.
Play From Home: Sonic Rumble Party x McLaren Racing
Can’t make it to Miami? No problem! You can still participate in the high-speed fun through a special in-game collaboration.
The Sonic Rumble Party x McLaren Racing Mission Event is running from Tuesday, April 28, through Wednesday, May 13. Players can jump into the game to collect exclusive crossover rewards, including:
- The exclusive McLaren Racing Sonic skin
- Custom McLaren decals
- Unique logo plates
