I believe a while ago I read somewhere that Sonic’s original design was a rabbit that’s main attack was to pick up objects with it’s ears and throw them at enemies. Is this true in any way and do you have more info on it?
Yes, it’s completely true. There’s even a pic of Sonic as a rabbit. You could probably find it at GHZ. Picking up items was considered a layer of control complexity that detracted from the speed of the game, so it was dropped.
