I’ve had the sonic mega collection(awesome game disc) since Xmas and I’ve looked at every comic cover and I was wondering “if the green guy on the sonic cover #101 was hyper knux?”Thanx, This site is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, that wasn’t Hyper Knuckles (who’s pinkish colored like Sega’s Super Knuckles). That was just Knuckles turned green due to his natural latent chaos powers (in Archie). –True Red

Archie Timeline?

Hi. I recently familiarized myself with the SegaSonic universe after 5+ years of being away from the Sonic scene, and now I hope to do the same with the Archie universe. Of course, I haven’t read the comic since “SonicQuest: The Death Egg Saga #1”, so it won’t be easy for me to get reacquainted with the comic. I read the profiles page, but I was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of info I didn’t know. The fact that I stopped reading the comic before “End Game” can be attributed to this fact. What I need is detailed plot summaries of the comics “as it happened” so I can slowly but surley get back into the swing of things. I tried the comics archive on your site, but the summaries didn’t cover the entire issue. It merely went about 3/4 of the way through, then stopped on a cliffhanger. I also tried various review sites, but of course, they focused more on critique than plot. Is there any where I can go to find plot summaries of the entire issue without reviews that assume you’ve already read the comic? I realize that this won’t be easy, since I missed out on 5+ years of issues. But if you can help me, I will very much appreciate it. (Sorry about the long post.)

Sorry, I don’t know of any site that does what you are asking. I do something similar for the Knuckles storyline only on another site of mine. –True Red

Hello SonicHQ! Great site! Any ways, as one of Shadow’s Followers, I want to know all I can about Shadow. I am very new to the Archie Comics of Sonic. I already know that Shadows is in going to be in the future issues #124-125. But I heard that Shadow destoried Silver Sonic 2 in its profile. So what issue is this in which Shadow is in? Is their any other issues in which Shadow is in so far? Sorry the long Question. Thanks

how can I beat the “crazy gadget”stage with an “A” rank on sonic adventure 2:battle?! It is a very hard stage to pass with an “A” rank.

At the very first Artifical Chaos robot, jump off the pole and jump-dash into it for 500 points. You can also roll into a shielded robot by jumping off another pole short of it ending, for 500 points. When you fly out into space using the Light Dash, keep running to the Chaos robot that spawns the blob things, jump on the head for another 500 points. Figuring out Action Links is the way to go. The gold beatle is located in the long hallway to an anti-gravity transport deal, jump off the pull about midway and run to the left, it’ll appear in front of the 2 sheilded robots.

2. No. All the songs in the Sonic Adventure games were made by Sonic Team themselves.
3. It varies from hatred to appreciation. It depends on the Overlander, just like it depends on the Mobian what their opinion of Overlanders are.

I got Sonic comics only since #114 and I need some questins answered. I learned about Sonic though games. 1. The Sonic/Mina/Sally thing, isnt Amy Rose involved? She loves Sonic. 2. Why are Chao called heralds and since when could they talk? 3. Do tikal and Chaos and Mammoth Goyal live in the Master Emrald? 4. I thought Knuckles lived by himself and his family was long gone.

1) No, she isn’t.
2) Chao aren’t all heralds, just the two that were shown in #121 as there have been chao before & they weren’t heralds. Also, Chao have been able to talk since SA1 in Chao Adventure.
3 & 4) The Archie profiles will answer those questions as the Master Emerald and all of those characters mentioned (except Chaos–though mentioned in Tikal’s a bit) are already profiled.

1.Is Knuckles Chaotix a Sonic Team? 2.Why did sonic team took out the chaotix? 3.Are the the chaotix sonic team characters?

1) It’s a Sega of Japan game.
2) As the rules state, we don’t speak for Sonic Team.
3) They’re most likely Sega of Japan characters since they’ve only appeared in SoJ games.

You yourself can’t turn on the TV or open the Jack-in-the-box. Your chao will use them, but only when they feel like it.

Sonic’s Fingers in comics?

Hello, I got one question. In the Sonic Comic books howcome Sonic,Tails and Amy(I can’t see because knuckles is wearing gloves) only have 5 fingers and Sally,Roter,Bunnie and Antione only have four fingers?

Sega characters have their Sega designs. Non-Sega characters have their DiC or “customary” American designs. It is customary for animal-like characters to have 4 fingers in American designs. –True Red

HI latly my qustions havent been getting to you so i sent this one twice.I have heard of this small animal on sa2 called a half fish.I am trying to get a chaos chao so i need to give him all the small animals.But i cant find this half fish could you tell me exacly where to find one.THANX THIS SITE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Half-fish can be hard to find as they’re usually in the third chao box of some levels, but there are some that are more easily obtained. In Green Forest, beyond the second checkpoint and after you swing on the vine, check around the wooden boxes for a half-fish. From that point, jump on the small floating platforms to the left; on the third, stationary platform, whistle near the flowers to make another appear. In Egg Quarters, you can use the bombs thrown by the Kiki monkey robots to break open metal cages containing other half-fish.

Sonic the Hedgehog comic issue #1

Sonic HQ, I went to a comic convention to find some early Sonic comics. I found and bought the first issue. I’m confused because in Sonic Mega Colection in the comic section the cover of #1 shows the Freedom Fighters battling Robotnik and his robots. My comic shows Robotnik’s face and Sonic carrying Sally away from Robotnik (she’s still pink). I am so confused please tell me why the covers are different. Sorry for the long question.

You bought Sonic #1 from the original Archie Sonic mini-series (Sonic #0-3) released in early 1993. That series came before the Sonic #1 (released in mid-93) that started the current ongoing Archie Sonic series that is featured in the Mega Collection. –True Red

Big’s Cameos

My friend told me that Big the Cat from Sonic Adventure, makes a cameo in Sonic Adventure 2. I own SA2: Battle, and I see Big nowhere. Is it only the Dreamcast version, or do I need glasses?

In SA2, Big was hidden within the levels themselves. In SA2B, he’s only hidden in certain cutscenes. You need to select a specific scene in Story Mode, and then hit A repeatedly while it’s playing. If you hit it at the right time, he’ll appear somewhere in the scene, such as running behind Amy when she talks to Shadow on the ARK.

ok..well i turns out that Bunny was a sonic chao….for a long time now…well then if i give it other animals and stuff,will it turn into a differant type of chao?thanx,i really need to know so i can get bunny’s strength up…it really needs it. thanx,shadow

Large amounts of Chaos Drives of a single type can still change it to a different secondary type, unless it’s too old (around age four). If that’s the case, it won’t change at all (excluding animal parts).

Basically, a kitsune is a mythological Japanese fox spirit with multiple tails.

Rouge and Knux Chao????

Right now, my brain is mush. You guys told two people that there’re aren’t any Rouge or Knuckles chao, but I heard on a chao site that a Rouge chao is a dark/running/fly and a Knux chao is a neutral/power/fly. Are these really true? Sorry for the long question.

There is no official Rouge chao. There is an official Knuckles chao, but it’s only availble at special events in Japan. Some people make up “chao recipes” to make chao that vaguely look like other characters, but the two you mentioned aren’t actual character chao at all; Dark/Running/Flying looks nothing like Rouge, save for the fact that like all dark chao it has bat-like wings, and Neutral/Power/Flying has no resemblance to Knuckles; it just happens to be red.

Echidnas head

What are the things that hang from Knuckles and all other Echidnas head? Some of Shadow’s Folowers (SF) say they are Echidna quills. Other F of S (remember what s and f stand for) say that they are dread locks. So… What are those things? Please answer.

The popular theory is that they’re echidna spines styled into dreadlocks.

I noticed that when you give a Dark Chao Power bottles, he gets ring bracelets on his arms. When you give him green bottles, he gets Shadow’s hair. Can you get the Chao to have both rings and hair, and anything else?

Giving a chao enough Chaos Drives (not power bottles) alters its appearance. That’s how second evolution works; it can change a chao’s look dramatically. There are many varying patterns (usually stripes or coloured fronts), colours and shapes (including hedgehog spines) for every type of chao, but the Shadow chao won’t get rings on its arms.

In the fan-fic area it says “MISTing”. What the Heck is MISTing?! Tell me, pleeze. I’m a big fan! THANX!!!^_^

MiSTing is a type of fan-fiction where an author will take another person’s story and make fun of it by adding commentary of how bad typos are, how there’s no plot, and such. It’s based on the Sci-Fi channel’s show Mystery Science Theater 3000. To most people getting a story MiSTed means that you’ve screwed up big time, but to others they actually want it done. Either way, MiSTings are usually just a way to get a good laugh out of a story.

how do you get the lost chao in cannon’s core? I can’t find it anywhere. please help me. thankx.

Do Tails’ part as usual. In Eggman’s part, after you reach the check point and go through the door, you can either go down (the way to finish the level) or go to the other side. You need to get to the other side first and use his Mystic Melody (or else you might as well start over). Then, finish his part as usual. In Rouge’s part, there will be a door (just search the area you start out in, you’ll see it) that wasn’t opened before. Go through it and use her Mystic Melody & then finish her part as usual. In Knuckles’ part, you’ll see platforms to climb where you’ll have to use his Mystic Melody and then finish his part as usual. Now as Sonic, just go through his part as usual and eventually you’ll see a path of rings that you’ll have to light dash through that’ll take you to the chao. –True Red
