    1.I have a chao and I have been giving it animals for a long time and it hasn’t turned immortal. Can you explain why? 2. If it turns immortal and it was a sonic chao will it stay like that?

    1. Giving a chao lots of animals doesn’t make it a Chaos (immortal) chao. Check the Q&A archives for instructions on how to do so.
    2. No, there are only three kinds of Chaos chao, and each has its own specific look.

    when I was playing SA2 I went to the hero garden and my hero chao changed into an egg. please tell me the reason. thanks.

    It reincarnated. If a chao’s been treated well, it will reincarnate around age five. When it rehatches, it will be a baby again, only with 10% of its original stats from the start. Reincarnating your chao can make it stronger and lead to it becoming a Chaos chao.

    How many points does a chao need to do some stuff (like running or adv. running)?

    Running: to walk, 50 points; to run/take big steps, 800.
    Swimming: to swim, 100; to swim faster, 700.
    Flying: to fly, 100; to fly stronger, 1000.
    Power: to perform the wind-up punch/spin kick in Chao Karate, 500.

    I gotta know, when was the fact introduced (in the comic book) that Constable Remingto was the son of Kragok. I think I missed something here because I also do not remember when Kragok and Tobor were “killed”. Can you just tell me which issue I need to refer too so that I can check this out?

    is shadow 50?i read it on another site,but his profile didnt say.

    Shadow was locked away and asleep in stasis for at least fifty years, and he’s supposedly immortal, but physically he seems to be around sixteen. However, he was never given an official age by Sega or Sonic Team and as stated previously, only official ages go in the profiles. If a character doesn’t have one, it’ll be listed as “unknown.”

    How can you tell the differentces of Sonic 1 North America, Japan, and another Japanise Sonic 1?

    Sonic 1 US was the first release of the game in June. The Japanese game came out in July, and Sonic Team was able to tweak it a little. The big differences in JP Sonic are extra scrolling effects in most of the Zones.

  • Green Hill has scrolling clouds that move against Sonic on their own
  • Marble has scrolling backgrounds(the ruins and grass move with Sonic) and clouds that move with Sonic
  • Spring Yard has the same things
  • Labyrinth has rippling water effects
  • Starlight is unchanged
  • Scrap Brain has clouds that scroll with Sonic

    • I don’t know if there’s a second JP Sonic 1, Sega had an ad that named the game SegaSonic the Hedgehog but I don’t think the name changed on the product itself.

    Hi!I have a friend who has a hero chao and has 99run 76power 75swim 78fly.He wants to know that when his chao dies and riencarnates if his chao Champ will still have the stats shown above.PLEASE THIS IS URGENT!ankles

    The levels all go back to zero, but the chao keeps 10% of its stat points. If it’s got 2100 in an area, it will be reborn with 210 from the start, so you can get additional points through reincarnation and make it even stronger.

    I am badly in need of some help! 1) Where is the blasted Chao alter in Shadows first level Radical Highway! Unbeleveable as it is i can’t find it, Sega must of hidden it good. 2) my young chao is a Hero, when will it become adult in the races? 3)What is Shadow and sonic’s Costumes when you finish their stages in full A’s? I MUST KNOW!! Thanx 🙂

    1. At the top of the suspension bridge where the Gold Beetle appears, stand on the platform to the right (where Omochao is standing), but grind down the rail behind you rather than taking the one forward. You’ll go back a little and come across a platform with the shrine.
    2. Chao only become Hero chao when they evolve into adults, so either yours already is an adult, or it’s a baby chao that hasn’t evolved yet. They don’t evolve in the races, only in the garden when they’re old enough.
    3. Their costumes are based on Phantasy Star Online designs.

    What is the difference between super sonic and hyper sonic? Thanks.

    Super Sonic is the collection of the 7 chaos emeralds. Sonic is usually golden in this form, it’s also the most commonly seen. Hyper Sonic is the collection of the 7 super emeralds. This is when Sonic is flashing multiple colors and has the “dash” attack. This form though is just generally considered an extra for Sonic 3 & Knuckles as it hasn’t been seen since.

    You just said that the charecters ages dont change… but how come it says Amy is now 12 and she used to be 8, but Archies is age 13, and I read that she was age six! I am confused…

    Because Sega changed Amy’s age from 8 to 12. No one else’s age has changed in their universe. The profiles are separated by universes for a reason. You don’t use Archie to figure out Sega or vice versa. We use official ages here for each particular universe. –True Red

    Is there really an Amy chao? I’ve seen pictures but it’s not too convincing. If so, could you tell me how to get one? I have SA2B.

    Go to Sonic Team’s website to get your proof. Unless you live in Japan and can attend Sonic Team’s events where they give away Amy chao (among other rare chao), you won’t be getting an official one. –True Red

    Is there any other way to get a Tails chao in SA2B other than connecting a Game Boy Adv. to Phantasy Star Online for GameCube and meeting a Tails chao in Phantasy Star Online and sending it to a GBA with no cartridge?

    If there is it hasn’t been discovered yet. But given how much work is needed to be done in order to get the Tails chao, it probably is the only way to get one.

    Neutral running?

    Hey. About that last question… How do you make a Neutral running Chao? If you feed the Chaos Drives with Sonic, Tails, or Knux, the Chao grows closer to turning Hero and vice versa. So how do you do it?

    Taking care of a chao with Sonic, Tails or Knuckles will turn it into a Hero chao because those three are Hero-side characters. Taking care of it with Dark characters (Shadow, Rouge, Eggman) will help it turn into a Dark chao. To keep the chao’s alignment neutral, take care of it with characters from both sides. If it starts looking like it’s going towards Hero (turning white, wings look more angelic, growing two small nubs on its head), pet/feed/play with it using a Dark character until it goes back to neutral. If it starts looking like it’s going Dark (turning darker/black, wings look bat-like, headpiece goes wavy), pet it with a Hero character. It you keep it balanced, it will evolve into a Neutral chao.

    i have two questions.1)How do you raise a chaos chao and 2)Why won’t my chao evolve?i have had it for a very long time and it won’t completly evolve to a sonic chao.i have only gave him rabbits and green chaos drives.Please tell me cuz i would like him to evolve before he dies.oh and if a sonic chao recarnates,will he still be a sonic chao?     1. The steps towards raising a Chaos chao were given in a previous answer.
    2. Chao go into a cocoon and evolve around age one (and each chao year equals about 3-5 hours of in-garden time). If you’re talking about second evolution, it’s a gradual change and the chao doesn’t go into a cocoon. Around age two, or when the chao first goes into mating season, give it lots of drives (not animals) to start the second evolution. Keep giving it drives until it’s fully changed, but keep in mind it’s a slow change. You can keep giving drives even after it’s hit level 99; however, if the chao’s around age four or five, it’s too late to start the second evolution and it won’t work at all.
    A Sonic chao that reincarnates will be reborn as a normal chao, but it keeps its alignment and you can raise it to be a Sonic chao again.

    Hi. I was just wondering this question: I have a Hero Chao with dull yellow and blue stripes and a large striped spike with 2 super small spikes sticking out of the big spike. So do I feed it “green” type animals or green Chaos Drives or both? Thanks. Oh, and please don’t make fun of my name. It’s the name of one of my Dark Chao.

    It sounds like you have a Hero-Running-Normal chao… this chao can’t become a Sonic chao because a Sonic chao is Neutral-Running-Running, not Hero. But to answer your question, use chaos drives (green for the Sonic chao) rather than animals for second evolution.
