Official Solicitation
Determined to find out more information about the legendary-and possibly not real-eighth Chaos Emerald, Fang, Bark, and Bean make a trip to Angel Island. But trespassers looking for an emerald are going to have to tussle with the Master Emerald’s guardian, Knuckles! Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails follow their own lead on another mystery…

Fang is dodging Knuckles's traps in Mushroom Hill, Fang gloats about him being a Hunter but soon finds that Knuckles is, in fact, hunting him. Fang thinks about where Knuckles could be hiding. Fang heads over to Sandopolis and wonders how many ancient treasures could be there. Refocusing, Fang eventually spots Knuckles under a pillar. Once he does, he calls his Marvelous Queen as a distraction while Fang lands a sneak attack on the echidna, sending him into a large pit. Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails are shown flying the Tornado and catch up with the disappearing ship. The ship disappears before they get a chance to fight it. Sonic gets angry, expressing his frustration on wanting a fair fight. Tails tells him he will study more at his workshop. Fang is shown trying to fight the Hyudoro, becoming distracted, he doesn't notice Knuckles coming in. Knuckles attack him causing another fight. They fall down another pit which is where Bean and Bark were tied up at. Fang blames them saying he worked hard to get to Sandoplis. Knuckles and Fang continue their fight with the Marvelous Queen cutting Bean and Bark free, letting them join up with Fang against Knuckles. Fang asks Knuckles about the eighth Chaos Emerald, Knuckles assumes he means the Master Emerald. Fang accuses Knuckles of keeping info from them. Knuckles calls him delusional. Fang's Gang fly off, where Bean tells Fang not to waste him or Bark's time, threatening to leave. Fang responds by tipping the Marvelous Queen over the ocean, telling Bean and Bark that if they want to leave, their stop is over the ocean. The two decide to stay. The Gang fly over to a island Eggman had tried to conquer in the past. It starts to rain in Newtrogic High Zone, leaving them unable to leave due to Fang's Marvelous Queen's batteries being drained. Fang mentions that when they find the eighth Chaos Emerald, he would get his Marvelous Queen the best and biggest updates. Bean cuts in, wondering where his and Bark's cut of the profits comes in. Fang rationalizes it as a benefit to the whole gang. The lab starts to flood while Fang looks at Eggman's many monitors. Fang panics, commenting on how they can't escape due to the aforementioned batteries being drained. With the lab starting to flood due to it being destroyed. An invention of Eggman's comes though the ceiling, picking up the Hooligans. The issue ends with Eggman demanding what they're doing in his old lab.
