The new badnik seems to resist all of Sonic`s best attempts to bring it down by being able to counteract his every move. It introduces itself as Predicto, and invites each of the Freedom Fighters in turn to test its knowledge of their attack patterns, besting them all. Sonic is only able to confound and subsequently destroy it by pretending to surrender, which he, of course, would never do.

Despite the Chaotix's abilities, Knuckles defeats all of them one by one. Meanwhile, the Omni-Viewer has checked Knuckles' story and found out that Knuckles is no enemy – but it's too late!
At that moment, two Metallixes appear! They've been sent by the Brotherhood of Metallix to capture the Omni-Viewer and use it for their own ends.
