Family Reunion[]

Belle and Motobud are in a small forest area surround by people who need help fixing things with Belle offering to anyone who needs her help. A father tells his daughter to go and explains to Belle how he has heard of her hard work and ask how they can repay her, but Belle responds telling him not to worry about it. Suddenly Belle is taken over by Dr. Eggman who tells her that he is in need of her services and Belle tells everyone to get back saying Eggman is in control and commands Motobud to zap her so she can control herself and thanks Motobud. Eggman is puzzled by this and ask what happened, saying how when she repaired Metal Sonic the data they exchanged made her prone to his direct control. Belle responds saying how she asked Tails to scan for trojan code btu said he couldn't quarantine it without affecting her base program and she came up with a "just in case" so Motobud can override her motor functions until Eggman got bored and left her alone. Eggman grows frustrated saying he needs her help, but Belle demands to ask her nicely. Eggman starts over saying how Metal Sonic has gone missing along with a cache of supplies. He continues saying how he can't connect to him and needs Belle's special link between him to regain control and adding please. Belle is in shock of Metal's disappearance and agrees but only if she can bring Sonic along and Eggman agrees saying how he most likely would have gotten involved anyway. He sent Belle metal Sonic's latest coordinates and tells her to get there pronto.

Eggman ends the call saying he didn't expect such forethought and cunning from Belle. Orbot adds saying how she is his creation and Eggman says how Sonic's involvement will only make things more complicated. Cubot suggest telling Metal Sonic to ambush Sonic and Belle once they find him and further adds how they will never see it coming, but Orbot adds how they lost contact with Metal Sonic and can't command him and Cubot agrees further saying it would be rude. Eggman then thinks saying how Belle would probably try and cheat him again and says how whoever stole Metal could just undo her work and needs an agent who he can rely on and one that Sonic won't see as a threat. Eggman has an idea and releases his A.I daughter: Sage who states how she is reporting for duty. Cubot and Orbot rush to give her a hug calling her little sis Sage and Orbot ask if she needs anything and Sage responds asking for some space. Eggman says hoe she was designed to be his ultimate artificial intelligence program and her ability to interact and control technology. Eggman states her mission is to accompany Sonic and Belle to regain control of Metal by any means. Sage says how she will not fail but Eggman tells her if things get too dangerous to retreat to safety immediately and she smiles at him saying she will be careful.

Later in Holoska, Belle and Sonic are riding on the wagon and Belle ask when Eggman's envoy is at and how they should've been here by now, but Sonic says it figures when he loses Metal Sonic and does not have anything else as fast. Belle then thanks him for coming and apologizes to make him save his arch-rival. Sonic shrugs it off saying he is happy to help her and how he's rather see Eggman with Metal them someone he never met. Suddenly an egg-pod appears and Sage walks out greeting Sonic saying to comment with the mission. Belle in shock says that Dr. Eggman is controlling ghost now while Sonic wonders when the last time they tangled. Belle ask Sonic how he knows her and he responds saying how she is Eggman's latest creations and how she once tried destroying him and later on help him and Belle responds in confusion on how they just get along. Sage responds saying how while Sonic is her enemy he has her gratitude for saving her father Dr. Eggman. Belle annoying asks if Eggman is her fear and she annoying says how that's good her. Sage comments on Belle's wagon saying it's not equipped for the terrain and Belle angrily tells Sage that she did not think of traveling to the arctic and Sage responds saying that was an oversight on her end and Belle argues saying she was supposed to just predict that. Sonic then breaks them up and tells them to focus on the search. A few hours later, the sun starts to set, and a storm was rolling in, Sonic thinks they should call it a night. Sage argues saying they will not rest until they find Metal Sonic, but Sonic argues saying they won't be able to find him if there frozen to death and Sage says how his limitations are proving to be a liability to the mission and Belle comments saying how she didn't calculate for that. Sage responds saying how Sonic has proven to overcome any hazards and Belle can only perform at her base functionality. Sonic then tells them to get inside, but Sage denies when Sonic says how she is welcome to stay outside in the cold.

Once inside, Belle apologizes for the small room saying how she doesn't sleep much. Sonic tells her that it's no big deal and Sage comment saying the wagon is rudimentary and before Belle could respond the wagon moves and Belle ask what it could be. Sonic says it's either the wind or a Orca under the ice. It happens again and Sonic tells belle and Motobud to get the wagon going as he goes to check he hopes it's not an orca when he is nearly struck by green beam of light. Meanwhile, Belle tells Sage how she wanted her to keep moving but Sage says how the current parameters are not optimal. Sonic runs ahead only to nearly doge the green beam and hits directly towards the agon Sage tells Belle to leave Motobud and Belle tells her she will not leave him, but Sage says how it is not important to the mission but before Belle could respond she is nearly hit by the beam. Sonic jumps in in btu before he could attack belle sense a connection and confirms it's Metal Sonic; Sage tells her to link so she can upload the software patch, but Belle says how she's struggling to connect directly. Suddenly Metal Sonic launches towards them but is blocked by Sonic and Sage tells him that the additional hardware is causing an interference and commands Sonic to deal with it. Sonic tells Sage it is a lot to do while also trying to protect Bell and Motobud though Sage locates a nearby Eggnet cave network nearby and the three run toward it while dogging metal Sonic's attacks. After a long chase Sonic pulls Belle's tail to cut off Metal Sonic giving them time to think. Belle kindly request for Sonic to give her a heads-up next time and he says how he was not thinking while moving so fast. Sage then comments asking if Sonic as thinking but further says how they need him, but Sonic sarcastically says how he has missed her positive attitude.

Sonic says how they have time to think and ask if the data she downloaded has a map of the cave and Sage says how it doesn't and how it cannot reach the Eggnet this deep underground. Sonic tells her not to worry and ask her to lead the way when Sage warns Sonic to not get overlay familiar reminding him that they are enemies. Sonic tells Sage to get used to it and Sage says how she cannot find a direct path to go after Belle told her to pick a direction, but Belle comments saying that being the "upgraded daughter experience" isn't perfect after all. Sonic tells her to chill when Belle yells saying how is Sonic going to replace Sage with her too. Belle then apologizes for her words and Sonic reshores her that she will never be replaced and how she was built by "Mr. Tinker" while Sage was a happy accident. Sage responds saying that she is not following her analogies and she does not like Sonic's tone, but he tells her that there might be some hope for him. Sonic gets back to the search saying they need to find Metal Sonic and continue to walk.

Elsewhere in the cave, a mysterious villain watches Sonic, and others form cameras that are hidden saying how he is always a conundrum and how he brought "Sage" along and ending talking to somewhere saying how it should be fun.
