In the latest (June) issue of Britain’s Nintendo Official Magazine, an E3 investigation has revealed that Blaze will play a key role in the new Sonic Rush game as the Queen of an alternate dimension to Sonic’s usual world…The game will focus on the special emeralds of this realm, called the Sol Emeralds, making this one of the few games where Chaos Emeralds are not the main target.

The preview also reveals that because of the dual screens on the DS, the levels will understandably be designed vertically, with the core game not making any use of the DS stylus at all. Instead, NOM claims there will be unique minigames throughout that use the stylus, possibly including the E3 tech demo with Sonic accelerating with a rub of the touch screen.
