  • Unused SatAM themes and more

On the FUS message board, their own Cheezmatt got into contact with Michael Tavera who, if you don't know, was the music composer for the first season of SatAM. Unselfishly and surprisingly, Mr. Tavera was willing to send Cheezmatt a CD of some of Season 1's music. Unfortunately there isn't that much background music available, but there are some unused themes and a short melody of background music that's totally worth the download.

So a very big thanks goes out to these to for what I am about to present to you. I would also like to thank PorpoiseMuffins for the original hosting of the files. Presenting some of Season 1's soundtrack and unused tracks as well. Head on over to Fans United for SatAM to check out these great files.

    STOP CONTACTING ANCHOR BAY

Kanshisha of The SatAM Network posted this on his site and FUS:

I got up this morning to recieve an email from Anchor Bay webmaster. Not sure how he got my site address since I never posted on the forum yet. but anyways. he told me and I quote.

"We do not have the UK DVD rights to SatAM. Can you please stop the continual bombardment of our forums and PMs with these requests? It is extremely annoying."

He also said if I know who handles the SatAM right to let him know. So I gave him alot of information about that and who to contact and stuff so please don't go emailing him about who has the rights and stuff. We don't want him to get even more annoyed with more emails of the same stuff and probably half of it is wrong information. So please stop posting on the forum because the more you annoy them the less of a chance we have to get it back. But if they are interested in getting the right like he sounded we may have a chance. So please stop bothering the man.

Well... looks like FUS and TSN were heard... a bit too loud though. I didn't think we were being annoying, but... like I said we were heard. All we can do now is watch and wait and see if they will release it. The ball is in their court, let's keep our fingers crossed.

    Also if a mod or whatever could edit the previous post by me and take out the links so we don't annoy them even more, please. That'd be great ^_^;

Want to see SatAM on DVD? Here’s how to help

As you know, Disney is being stupid and not allowing DiC or any company to release/air SatAM here in the US because they suck. Anyway, one of the fans (Sonicus Prime) suggested asking Anchor Bay to release SatAM, as they've all ready released several SU DVDs that have sold successfully. Anchor Bay is known for listening to their fans and even has a suggestions forum on their site. I don't know the whole history, but apparently they've also had fans of other shows they've released create extras. Since I, at FUS have some model sheets and what not and so does the SatAM Network, we could probably help in that department ;)

Anyway, we need to let them know there IS a fan base out there so sign up on their forums and help us out by posting in this topic that Sonicus Prime made:

Now before ANYONE tries to complain about how they won't be released in America (because they won't as DiC doesn't have the rights nor does anyone else) I don't want to hear it. This is a big chance for FUS. Anchor Bay would probably release all the episodes on DVD, and no matter what country it is, it would truely be a huge victory. A lot of UKers didn't whine when the original DVD was only released in in the states, in fact several of them order it from Amazon. So please, if you're a SatAM fan, no matter where you live, help us out. If you don't help out because you don't care that it's only in the UK then you suck and you are not a true SatAM fan.

    Sonic Eraser

I bet you all think I'm here to post some SatAM news, well I'm NOT! Actually, I'm here to talk about a Sonic game pretty much unknown to the Sonic fandom until PACHUKA of Sonic Cult and his 1337 hacking crew discovered it. As he says below:

We're also very proud to be the first site to bring you the long lost game: Sonic Eraser. Sonic Eraser is the 2nd ever Sonic game no one knew exsisted. It was brought to my attention by our friend Sparkster. Sega put their old Sega Modem games up on their emulator service. (Japan only) So, in the late hours, with my money, Ryoga's knowledge of Japanese, and the hacking skills of Nemesis, we managed to bust open Sega's program and extract the ROM. So we proudly present: Sonic Eraser!

The game is a puzzle game similar to Tetris, each piece that falls is made up of several symbols that you have to line up to get combos... and... well, it's hard to explain, but it can be found at Sonic Cult, along with pictures and information on the game. Also some of you may have notice that the CulT has been down recently, remodeling, well it's finished! So be sure to check it all out.

    SU DVD Released!

The SU DVD has been released! You can order it at Amazon at this link and at Animated Bliss at this link, and ... that's it for now I guess. Now I know everyone didn't want SU and they wanted SatAM but I urge you to buy this. Sales can only help the possibility of a future SatAM DVD box set. My theory is that if the SU DVD sales do good, DiC can go to Disney and say "Hey they really like Sonic, let us release the SatAM one" and they will to make themselves a few extra bucks. At least that's the plan until we come up with a better one.

Support Sonic Underground and help out SatAM

    Third Party Enemy FOUND!

It's Ken Penders! He cancelled future Sonic DVDS!

    Nah, im just kidding =P
It WAS actually Disney >:( Imagine that! I really didn't think it would be

Sonmanic (some of you know him) just posted this on my site:
    --------------
JUST GOT OFF PHONE WITH SOME INTERESTING NEWS!

Ok, after i was transfered a few times, i spoke with this british woman thats in charge of distribution. Sonic Underground is being released firt, cause it was produced in a low budget company that worked with DiC. Theres a possibility that SatAM WILL be released sometime after Sonic Underground, cause DiC is trying to resolve this issue with Third Party Rights. And what are the Third Party Rights? Well, after a few minutes of building a steady repore with this woman, she spilled the beans about who is preventing them from releasing Aosth and SatAM. Ever heard of a company called Beuna Vista? Thats right, Disney's little company is holding back the release since DiC released the first DVD without their consent. The other issue is that DiC transfered to a different distribution company from Lions Gates to a DVDtoons. Its a company that was just started so theres nobody to talk to yet. Now this you will find a shock to. Since SatAM had 26 episodes, it was going to be released as a box set. So rest assure people, DiC isnt the enemy, its Beuna Vista cause their claiming rights on show when it was affiliated with Disney. The only piece of optimism this woman gave me was that they are doing everything in their power to release Aosth and SatAM. Surprising enough, she said DiCs been getting a lot of responses regurding SatAM, so we might have a chance still. Here is that website she told me about. http://www.dvdtoons.com/

Im glad i was able to solve this mystery

    --------------
Well he did what several other FUSers included me could not, which is get info on this damn third party, so we all owe him a HUGE thank you. Now here's their website

    http://bventertainment.go.com/

    Now Im not sure if writing to these people or Disney will actually help, since it's a coorperate matter. They don't care much about individuals >< but for thsoe who want to see this box set, it certainly can't hurt. As for the SU DVDs, it's a way to show Disney that they actually released a whole Sonic seires to the public, and hopefully that'll get the bar rolling with Disney. So as mch as I hate to say it, BUY THE SU DVDs and help support SatAM when they come out. That is all ^_^;

    Sonic CulT/SHaC Contest

Sonic Cult and Sonic Hacking Community are having a contest for a universal hacking program. Here are the details:

We are looking to develop a fully functional universal studio tool for hacking Sonic games. With the current status of hacking guides, we feel it's time to develop more universal tools to hack Sonic games. We are looking for a SINGLE program. Not multiple programs. This tool should be based on the 16-bit Sega Genesis/Megadrive games. But the further you branch, the more score you receive. So if it edits Sega CD, 32x, SMS, Game Gear, and other games, the more you receive. Current programs and editors are allowed to enter, however they will be stripped of 15-30% of their final score, due to the head start they receive and depending on what they do to begin with. The prize awarded to the best tool will be a Sonic Adventure 2 store display, signed by Yuji Naka himself!

    From the GENS site:

The major change in Gens 2.00 is 32X support, i did the entire 32X support in 2 months so it's still far from perfect. I would like to thank Michel Gerrie (author of Xega) for the great 32X infos :)

Go to http://gens.consolemul.com if you wish to download Gens 2.00, and, yes, the 32X support does include Knuckles Chaotix:

The TRUTH About Sonic Xtreme, and Sonic Xtreme music!

Anyone remember the canceled game Sonic Xtreme that was orginally for 32X, then switched to Saturn THEN switched again to PC and was ultimately canned? What? You didn't now of the PC port? WEEELLL then I supposed you don't know about it's plan to use the NiGHT's engine? Well now you can!

Blaze Hedgehog caught up with the man in charge of the project, Mike Wallis himself! PACHUKA of Sonic Cult performed an interview and found many o interesting things about Sonic Xtreme, including the REAL reason it was canned. The interview can be read on This Page and also on the main page is some actuall music from Sonic Xtreme, which was provided by Chris Senn who was in charge of the PC port.

I know what you're all thinking. DO we get a copy? I will say it's possible, but the Chris Senn interview isn't complete yet, but he IS thinking about it. Stay tuned to Sonic Cult for more info.
