Robotnik has finally captured Sonic – but has to join forces with him to defeat the overwhelming forces of the Metallixes.
All entrances to the Special Zone have been sealed, and Sonic is the only one who can still enter it by powering up a Star Post with his speed. He arrives just in time to see the last of the Metallixes depart to the Miracle Planet, but is unable to stop them.
"The Seven Badniks – Part Two"

The B.A.R.F. – after some gentle persuasion with a hammer – collect the badniks and deliver them to the Green Hill Zone. The local badniks, however, are none too keen at having newcomers on their territory, whilst the more advanced Palmtree Panic badniks decide to destroy their older, inferior counterparts. A battle ensues, and Cam `n` Bert are forced to retreat with the sorry remains of the Zone`s original badniks, leaving the interlopers to run wild!

There`s no time to sort out the fact that the Nameless Zone folk have mistaken Knuckles for "Tails` sidekick", Sonic (his story and he`s being forced into sticking to it) before Tails is attacked.
Knuckles leaps in on the fox`s behalf, only to be floored himself, but recovers undaunted, knocking Errol out cold and enabling him to be safely confined in some conveniently outsized stocks. Tails decides to venture back into the Land Beyond to retrieve the Enchanter Kings, and Knuckles, relieved to be in a zone with no hero worship of Sonic, agrees to tag along.
