Recent rumors weather SatAM have been airing in Michigan have now been clarified. I contacted FOX33 and heres what they had to say.

ELSPA, the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association, and ComputerAndVideogames.com, the UK’s leading multi-format video games website, today published the results of a unique poll seeking to find the most popular 30 games of the last 30 years.

The top five games voted most popular by the public are: Sonic the Hedgehog, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Pac-Man, Tomb Raider and Space Invaders.

It has been announced today via the Associated Press that Sammy will buy a 22.4% stake in Sega, although the reasons behind this decision have not been explained.

Recent talks between the two companies over a merger fell through earlier in the year, as did talks with Namco. Now, Sammy will be required to spend $419 million on purchasing the 22.4% share of Sega.

Financial commentators are already expecting Sammy to launch a takeover bid once their share reaches the required 33%.

New Screenshots of Sonic Heroes and a new preview @ Gamespot

To my suprise today while at the local Best Buy they have a stack of soming attraction DVD's that come free with any Music, Game, or Movie purchase. This DVD has trailer for all types of games and music and movies. Among them is a high quality DVD trailer for Sonic Heroes showing off all the teams and some gameplay. I can make a DVD RIP later.

Sonic battle is now avaliable in Japan.

Seems Chaos in getting in on the action as well, and he also seems to have the ability to melt into a puddle of water. Who knows what other Sonic characters are going to be added next?
