  • Will SVT Die in 2005?

SVT.Comics, the Sonic fandom's only dedicated site for fancomics faces the possibility of a shutdown in 2005, along with The Sonic Stadium (TSS) and Sonic Anime (SA.net). Financial difficulties are being handled but are still there. With the lack of donations, it appears there's a need for concern. Shayne Thames, owner of the server in which both SVT and TSS reside on, is single-handedly paying the server costs. However, she won't be able to pay next year.

The concern is mimimal since we have an entire year to raise funds for the server. However, it is somewhat important to let everyone know that we are indeed facing a situation, and we ask that when we run donation ads through our sites that we hope for a little generous help. I personally will be offering commissions for drawing and part of the money will go to me, while the rest to the server. My commission rates are located in my DeviantArt Journal. All info will be released on their respective sites when they return (which should be another week). We hope we will be able to provide you with the best Sonic fan entertainment in 2004 and beyond! However, it might require a bit of YOUR help to do it!

Sonic Comic Con 2003 and it’s future

The second annual Sonic Comic Convention (SCC or SVTcc as it's commonly called) will take place December 24th, 2003 - less than TWO days away!

"We promised to put on a better show, and I think that's what we're going to do!"

With the re-schedulings that delayed the convention for more than three months, SCC looks like it's finally ready to show it's pretty self off at an end-of-year holiday treat! The future of SCC after 2003 seems secure, however it will be something rather different in 2004.

Sonic Comic Con 2003 is coming!

We brought you last year's Sonic Comic Convention, showing off many talented artists who branded together to make this online event possible. You had the chance to look at many Sonic fan comics such as Other-M, the premieres of Ultimate Sonic AND 3B, Sonic::Epilogue, A Bright and Shiny Future, Shadow and Light, and Sonic HQ & Agnes Studio's very own Butterflies. You saw who won, then you went home, happy.

Get ready for a better show...

The Sonic Comic Con 2003 will open August 20th and will run for two weeks, approximately. Also, there is a now a new way to get there: www.sonicverseteam.com/comiccon

The Sonic Comic Con will feature a host/hostess from now on. Each character will be related to Sonic in some way through the comic books, both fanmade, Archie and maybe even Fleetway.

Details will develop soon, but if you would like more information, or begin registering early, send an e-mail to: admin@sonicverseteam.com

    SVTcc (Comic Convention Details)

New information about the comic convention has finally been released. Go to the following address and bookmark it, because this is the address where the comic convention will be held:

    www.svtcc.cjb.net

We already have comics enlisted in this coming event: Other-M, Shadow the Comic, SU2 and Sonic Shadows to name a few. I've heard of other's interest to join, but no confirmation yet. Christine Chong's comics may make an appearance there.

This page I just linked you to should explain all. Thanks for listening.

    SVTcc (Comic Convention)

Hello, ladies and germs. This is SA speaking of the SonicVerse Team. I recently announced a big event that'll take place three times a year. It's an online comic convention called SVTcc. Of course, the name is pending upon it's first event so we'll see how that goes. But anyway, for those of you who want to get an idea, refer to the past few SAGE events (for those of you who are famliare with SAGE).

SVTcc will commence starting this December and from there it'll take place every March, June and December. Basically, this is an open event/contest that'll span for two weeks. Anybody who creates fan comic can enter. You are required to make your own booth (like in SAGE) using your own webspace (sorry, I'm not offering any due to the already many hosted sites).

All your booths will be linked back to the main SVTcc page under the booths section. When the event opens, people will come and look around. It'll be the biggest fan comic event ever with a GREAT sum of comics to look through. At the end of their reading, they'll vote for their favorite comics (by category) and at the end of the two weeks, the polls will be counted and winners will be issued with small custom awards handed out.

We already have Other-M, Shadow the Comic, Sonic Shadows, Christine Chong's comic and SU2 signed up for this event, to name a few. I'd like to see the Sonic Ideal, and others join in on this. You don't have to have a team, you don't have to have a comic series, it could even be just comic strips. They'll all be classified into categories.

In closing, I just want to mention that I'm going to be opening the SVTcc page tomarrow with instructions on how to sign up and details on the event. I hope that word of this reaches out to as many people as possible so we can make this event big. I'll announce the url of the SVTcc page tomarrow. Till then, sleep well people!
