No, Team Artail didn't close, but they no longer own the artail.net domain. The new URL is http://www.teamartail.com (although it seems to be down at the time I'm writing this).

Dream-Alive was a campaign that was devoted to saving the Dreamcast. Now its somewhat different.

This can definitely be considered purely a rumor, since we've seen no evidence to back it up (yet) - it was posted on the IGN boards. Supposedly, Sonic Team told a Japanese magazine that the GameCube SA port would have more improvements than SA2:Battle did.
Or at least, I think. Sonic Underground is being replaced by Sabrina the Animated Series on Teletoon. The last day of Underground will be... August 30th. Oddly, that day is the 3rd Anniversary of Sonic Underground in the US.
After 6 months of downtime, LOSTArtists is back up. Most of the site is going through the passes of being restored, but the hosted forum is fully-functional. LOSTArtists hopefully could be fully up to speed within the coming weeks.
Gamesradar.com has posted some more screen shots of the Mega Collection for Gamecube that'll be released in November in the US.
