The Febuary numbers and in, and they're looking sweet. Yes, Sonic Heroes continues to be the driving force behind Sega's console line up, with Kunoichi (or Night Shade, as Sega of America likes to call it) not even touching the top 20. While the sales for Sonic Heroes on GC have gone down signifigantly since since January, PS2 and Xbox sales more than pick up the slack. Here is a list for sales on all three platforms for Febuary:
PS2: 84,098
Gamecube: 76,506
Xbox: 36,544
This adds up to: 197,148 units.
After doing some more simple math, adding the January sales of 199,032 units, the total amount of Sonic Heroes units sold in it's first two months is: 396,180 units. In other words, Sonic Heroes sold a loooot of games, as that is nearly half of what Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, one of the best selling games of all time, has sold since it launched. It should prove interesting to see how Sonic Heroes fairs on all 3 major platforms in the coming months. Who knows, it might be the first 3D Sonic game to sell over 1 million at this rate. Of course, that's just a wild hope.
This information was gathered by NPD Funworld.
Sonic Heroes is the #1 best seller for Nintendo Gamecube and Sonic Battle is #2 for Gameboy Advance. Sonic Heroes is selling better on Nintendo Gamecube than on the other platforms.

Sonic Team has finally gotten around to posting some information on Sonic Advance 3. The site has several new screens and information on the 'ultimate fighting robot'. Sega.co.jp's put up a Sonic Advance 3 page too. There doesn't seem to be any new screens there, but there is a better picture of the character art.

The GBA's new player will have Episodes of Sonic X released on it. Here's the full story from IGN.
March 11, 2004 - Majesco has revealed that it has entered a three year deal with 4Kids Entertainment to publish several cartoons on Majesco's upcoming GBA Video format.
The company will produce 12 different volumes of individual episodes this May, including episodes from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Sonic X. Additional terms of the deal call for the promotion of the titles on 4Kids Entertainment's FOX BOX programming block and FOX BOX Web site.
Majesco's new video compression technology presently allows viewing of approximately 45 minutes of quality color video with the capability to view 90 minutes of color video under development. The technology fits in a standard Nintendo-manufactured, Game Boy Advance cartridge and incorporates standard "DVD-style" player controls. The technology features color video across 100 percent of the screen.
The company previously announced a deal with Nintendo that brings SpongeBob Squarepants, Fairly Oddparents, and Jimmy Neutron to the cartridge format.
