Hi in the game sonic adventure 2 battel my chao reached maturity and it was not a holy chao or a devil chao it was larg and green keep in mind it was a normal noncolored egg this still baffels me could pleas tell me what this could be and how it happened?

My Chao, Chai, has been acting really odd lately. I was giving him some Condors and Skunks when all of a sudden his halo changed from purple to orange and he just sat down, smiled, had a heart over his head all the time, and a ring of flowers would appear around him.
