    Chao Names and Evolution

    I have 2 questions: 1. How do I give my Chao custom names? and 2. How do I evolve my Chao into a “Dark Chao”? Thanks.

    1. In SA2 for DC, you can change a chao’s name through the VMU. If you’re playing SA2B, take it to the Fortune Teller in Chao Kindergarten. When she asks if you want her to choose a new name, say no, and she’ll offer to let you name it yourself.
    2. Treat it well with Shadow, Rouge and/or Eggman (pet it, feed it, rock it, etc.) and give it Dark Fruit. You could also beat it with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles to make it into a Dark chao, but that’s not a good idea if you want your chao to reincarnate.

    Say, I’ve come here often, and I’ve noticed once ina while that on the top left of your navigator bar there are a few pictures of Sonic characters, but seems to be made from a fanart artist. Who makes them? Are they available to view on this site? (Example: One image has a picture of Sonic and Tails with sunglasses)

    Those were made by WB. I know some of them are in his fan art archive on the site, but I don’t think all of the pictures are. –True Red

    Hey Sonic HQ! I heard from a friend that you could be Sonic and Tails on Super Smash Brothers Melee (like a version of the Ice Climbers… or so says my friend). I was wondering… how is it possible to get them? I’ve been to cheat site online to see if they could help me get them.. but no could. I was wondering if you guys could help me…. I had even say a picture of sonic in the middle of melee, but i’m beginning to think it’s a hoax… and I really hope it’s not. I’ve heard by mouth, and I’ve seen it.. but I still don’t believe. Could you guys be so kind as to help? Thankx.

    I got a shiny dark chao and I was wondering how can you change color of its ball on its head and how can my dark chao become crazy and jump around (like that one chao in karte).Thank you

    To change the colour of the chao-ball, give it lots of a single kind of chaos drive or animal. It’s unsure how to change a chao’s starting pose/taunt in karate, but it may depend on its personality and whether or not it’s wearing a certain hat.

    If you mean the first set, those came out almost a year ago and are basically very hard to find as most video stores carrying them have sold out based on most fan comments. If you mean the possible second set, those haven’t been released yet. –True Red

    Ok…hi again.I was playing SA2B(again)and i was in the Hero Chao garden and on that bridge like thing.I was peting my almost Sonic chao bunny(the thing wont evolve!)and i was near the little arch thing.I looked on the down and there where shadows!There where moving too!My bro said it was just a glitch but someone on the internet was talking about invisable chao’s.I can’t pick or pet it though.Can you tell me what the heck they are?And can you tell me how long it normally takes to get a almost Sonic chao to evolve to a fully Sonic chao?     It’s a glitch. Pure and simple. As for the almost-Sonic chao, it takes just as long to evolve any other type, just search around the Q&A for the full answer to that one.

    When I read most of the episodes script at naosth.com, none of them took place on earth & there was no humans, but however some of the episodes are from the game, but it didn’t took place on earth. Why is the naosth cartoon is barley like the segasonic games?

    It’s loosely based on the pre-SA American version of Sonic from 1993 or so, nothing from SA is in the cartoon, and very little sometimes to do with the games.

    Ok,i was playing SA2B yesterday and i was Rouge.I was in the level wherer you have to get the 3 chaos emeralds and i already got the first one.The second one was in a safe.Omachao said to dig into the center but it wouldn’t let me…and then i tryed to dig into it untill i died.And then i got mad so i stoped playing that level.Can you tell me what i did wrong?     You need to trip some switches in order to unlock some vaults, find them, and if you die, you have an idea where they are and you can clear the stage with little trouble.

    How do you get tha air necklacess for Knux and Rouge

    Rouge doesn’t have an air necklace. Knuckles’ air necklace is found in Aquatic Mine. It’s at the end of the always-underwater mine shaft, you have to swim fast to get to it, but it’s worth the trip. Just make sure you have the 3rd switch (located above the starting point) tripped so the shaft is open. ~ SA Tails & True Red

    If it’s based on “official” art (which most of them are), then it’s fine. Credit would be appreciated though. If it’s based on fan art (such as Julie-Su one you’ve mentioned), it would be more appropriate to ask Chainspike, who’s the artist responsible for them. –True Red

    How do you collect the last emerald with rouge

    Im looking to find out how to get the last emerald shard while using rouge. Its the one on the platform with the four sipky balls. Her jump and jump kick dont seem to be high enough. Is there an ugrade I require and if so how and where do I obtain it?

    Rotate the control stick til an Action Window appears, hit B and she’ll fly into the air and catch the shard.

    Though I haven’t read all of the comics, I did look through the scans, archives, and encyclopedia and still can quite figure out what issue I should be hunting for to see how the Fearsome Foursome got from being Mogul’s cronies in the M.M. Special (between #39 and #40) to landing in the Devil’s Gulag. Please help me out here!

    That’s never explicitly shown, but it would’ve happened sometime after “SSS#1: Battle Royal” (which takes place between #46 and #47) when the group was defeated by the Chaotix & the Freedom Fighters and during “SSS#2: Brave New World” (which takes place between #52 and #53) when the Gulag prisoners were first shown inside it. –True Red

    Hey SonicHQ! I was wondering… How do you play the Main theme song for SA2? I went to the sound test and it wasn’t there… And I don’t like Beating the game just to hear it at the credits. Can you help me out??

    If you have the DC version, when you beat the entire game the first time you have to immediately play another level to get (almost) all the music. If you didn’t, you won’t have all the music available to you in the sound test and the main theme (found under Characters) is one of many sounds that won’t be available. The glitch is fixed in the GC version, SA2:Battle. Live and Learn’s listed in Characters as Boss 7.

    Look at Amy Rose: she has peach arms. Shadow, however, doesn’t. Either way, it’s your own creation, so it’s up to you; make the arms and chest the same color as the rest of the fur, or peach, or a different color all together.

    What just happened?

    So HQ,I was playing Sonic Cd and I was in Palm Tree Panic(I think Zone 2). I know I was at the begining and I was trying to time warp. Then Sonic crashed into the scenery and started to zip around extremly fast, even for him! After about 10 seconds of crazed dashing, he exploded out of the wall and stoped dead! The weirdest part was that he left a Sonic-shaped hole in the wall, like when a cartoon character runs through a door! Can you tell me how to do that again? I wasn’t paying much attention untill it happened. Sorry for the long question. Thanks HQ, you guys are the best! P.S. Do any of you have info on the next upcoming Sonic game?

    We have checked for Scratch and Grounder action figures on Amazon & E-bay for 8 years and have not found anything of them. Did they make any figures of them? Please e-mail me so I can give up the hunt or continue looking for them. If they did, can you tell me where I can find them. Some fan web sites say they did but didn’t tell where they got them. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Okay, so I’ve dug around on the net, but I’ve not been able to find what the name of Amy Rose’s Japanese voice actress was in SA (and SA2, assuming that it’s the same person). Also, I’m somewhat curious about who Eggman’s Japanese voice actor was for the SA games. Lastly, I was wondering — Do you have any frickin’ idea of what Tiara Boobowski from Sonic X-Treme is supposed to be? Thanks a lot for your time.     Hi, in sonic mega collection ,when you pick the games bar you will see listing of sonic games. Why do some of the games say ???, is that a secert game ? If so,how do you unlock them. One more queston, what are the steps to raise a chao to a chaos chao? Please answer back.

    How to unlock the secret games was answered already very recently. –True Red

    Chaos chao: have a chao reincarnate at least twice so it’s on its third life or more. In the baby stage, give it one (and only one) of each of the 21 animals, and absolutely no chaos drives, and then turn it to whatever alignment you want (Dark Chaos chao = Devil, Hero Chaos chao = Angel, Neutral Chaos chao = Light). When it evolves it should become a Chaos chao, although it seems there’s a small fail rate. This is for SA2B.

    How To wake up a chao

    In SA2, how do you wake up a sleeping chao without actually making it mad? I’d tried whistling at it, but it won’t wake up. Please give me an answer.

    You can’t wake it up without making it upset/angry. The best thing to do is to let it sleep. It will wake up on its own after a few minutes.
