รขโฌลThe Rampage Of Mekanik – Part Twoรขโฌย
Writer: Lew Stringer
Artist: Nigel Kitching & John M. Burns
Amy and Johnny rush off in search of Shortfuse, and find him dazed but unharmed. They arrive back just in time for Shortfuse to blast Sonic free as he is about to be devoured, and – in the middle of a battle! – pause to rethink their strategy. Amy managed to fire a crossbow bolt between Mekanik`s plating, and Sonic and Shortfuse decide to attack it from the inside, Shortfuse`s lasers breaking a hole in its leg that Sonic can fit into. Once inside, Sonic runs until the supersonic vibrations cause Mekanik to shake itself apart, before emerging to the obligatory gloryhogging (pun intentional – honest!).
Shortfuse leaves, feeling slightly cheated; but not half as much as Robotnik, who is already planning revenge with his next project: Project Brutus!
"Total Chaotix – Part Six"
Writer: Nigel Kitching
Artist: Richard Elson
The truth finally comes out: Nack betrayed the Chaotix for money, and also gave the Brotherhood of Metallix the access codes to break into the Omni-Viewer's systems.
When the Metallixes are not willing to keep their part of the bargain, Nack pulls out a disruptor device, but gets shot by one of the Metallixes before he can use it, leaving it to Knuckles to grab the disruptor and shut the Metallixes down.
After being freed, the Omni-Viewer returns Knuckles to the Floating Island. But, unknown to everyone, the Brotherhood of Metallix had a backup system that re-activated them – and they've also kept a pirate copy of the Omni-Viewer, which now enables them to have control over space and time…
